He's the oldest sibling, and After their father died (when O'saa's 13 as our headcanon goes) He takes on the Fatherly role for a while before leaving to become a yellowmage. He Adores his Family and is a big Mama's boy (this is bc i've always found it funny that when faced with the options "Father's soul stone" and "chac chac given by his mom and siblings" he canonically picks the chac chac)

Alitash! Oldest sister: 31

She's spunky and strong-willed as hell, both things she learnt from O'saa and Umayma. She also has a Bit of a parental role in her siblings lives, especially after O'saa leaves.

Teshi, 25

She's happy and full of laughter. And probably a lesbian. But their mom's ok with that lol.

Nyambura: 24

Why is she a self insert? She's not she just has one of my names lol- it WAS done deliberately. Anyway She's a bit timid but very smart- she loves debating and therefore adores having conversations with O'saa (about the importance of books as an example).

Estellia: 20

She's the baby of the group and is therefore given the princess treatment. We love her lol.

Side note, I have never been happier to be African because If i hadn't had a tribe or two to take inspiration from i don't know what I would have done. Every time i looked for african Fashion or hairstyles in the 1940s, i just saw african Americans and it was starting to get to my nerves. 💀. But yeah. I'm aware that i did mix and match certain customs and traditions from different tribes and places in Africa but 1, Abyssonia is a continent- we are never told where O'saa's from specifically, 2 at the price of making interesting Designs, I don't care too much. Oh and All their names are of African origin and have a meaning- I'm just too lazy to go look it up again lol.

I designed some merch type Keychain for H2D I'm pretty happy with the design I'm gonna try to make them look like actual Keychains but I need some supplies first, but it includes an attachable egg with the blood color and initial that you can add for whoever your bias is!!!

VERY interested to know what the H2D dynamic is like, with there being members all across the hemospectrum ranging from olive to indigo. I know Tirona describes them all as being around the middle of the spectrum but that’s still quite a range, how do they treat each other?

Are they a tight knit group? Are they just respectful, or even just civil? Or do they tear each other apart behind closed doors? What if they perform subjugation of each other for the public to hold up the hemospectrum and protect themselves? Or vice versa, they pretend to break boundaries and cross lines for the public but are no better than your average troll in private? I’m specifically interested in how the upper half of the hemospectrum treats the lower half within H2D, and especially what Onhors and Vestri’s relationship is like. There’s so many possibilities!

Mini-review:

This show feels pretty much groundbreaking. Sure, it clearly draws inspiration from a lot of sources, but it becomes something completely original and unique thanks to its representation and diversity. I feel like Muslim characters are rarely portrayed with such realism, sincerity and variety. And without falling into any dangerous or bigoted tropes, too. It's obvious that Nida Manzoor writes and directs from experience, and that allows her to speak from her heart through these characters. Also, it certainly helps that they are played by a group of incredibly talented performers. And obviously, I can't end this review without mentioning the fantastic music that we get in pretty much every episode. So yeah, if you're looking for something funny, joyous and truly special, do give We Are Lady Parts a try.
