I designed some merch type Keychain for H2D I'm pretty happy with the design I'm gonna try to make them look like actual Keychains but I need some supplies first, but it includes an attachable egg with the blood color and initial that you can add for whoever your bias is!!!

Possible Act 3 spoilers, read more at your own risk

some of "the hiveswap act 3 team" (namely producer jonaya, musician james roach and artist kim quatz) had an AMA/panel during sahcon, take my summaries with a grain of salt but I'm known for being really accurate and right: tl;dr

no release date revealed (no mention of the highly elusive programming team either)

act 3 will have more adventure game puzzling like act 1, and it's "the big plot act"

showed new art of locations and characters like last time, as well as a music track

james instantly mentions hiveswap has been worked on for over ten years already which was very funny

they played some wii shop channel-sounding music with the nuclear leitmotif

joey survives the train crash (MASSIVE SPOILERS)

fiamet is in an early part of the game (and we do see the train tracks in the background), they shared an animated sprite of her + a drone

cridea and jeevik week are part of this act, art of her was shared

three new characters (tiagon, onhors and luxora) were revealed

new location (shopping mall) for which the wii shop music is for, troll language translators please get to it

new location (jade caves)

new location (hallway in space (?) + machinery that may or may not be part of the same area)

Q&A starts 10 minutes before the panel ends:

once again, no release date, but heavy in production

they'd love to make hauntswitch but one thing at a time

some characters from act 2 will return in act 3 and act 4

the most interesting character is "dreadeye" who has a complicated quirk (I don't think she's been revealed)

Act 3 Still in Development

According to James Roach, Hiveswap: Act 3 is still in active development. There was a hiatus in production for a while, but there was a meeting happening. The writing is done, it is just a matter of assets and programming. WhatPumpkin now only exists to keep Hiveswap in development. Andrew Hussie says to the team that they can do whatever they want with the IP because he does not care anymore.

What do we know about hatched to dance? Whose names in the band do we know? I cant seem to remember…

There's 5 members to Hatched 2 Dance! There's Onhors, Kimani, Vestri, Tiagon, and Actias. We hear Tegiri talk about them in Hiveswap Act 2, and I've got a chunk of screenshots talking about each member thanks to my friend @dissociativebrimstone :o) I'll stick em under the cut plus some rambling if I have any lmao.

first we've got onhors who I feel like tegiri kinda improperly labels as a butterface? he makes it sound like it's someone who looks good but has no talent. sir that's not the definition of that word. but he atleast establishes a blood colour for each member, which is nice

next is kimani! tegiri just absolutely rips into every one of them but he hits kimani especially hard. I feel like "the group bucket" hits WAY harder than just being like "yeah he's the slut of the group", great job tegiri. also tegiri better be careful and not post these hot takes online because it's alternia, someone WILL kill him over it, and it defintely could be someone in the band. just saying.

third is vestri who is like....the one member of h2d he doesn't absolutely murder? which kinda lends to the idea that his favourite in the group is vestri, the flashy little oliveblood we've seen!

then we have tiagon next, who's teal and tegiri has more really good thoughts about. he also establishes actias who I'll get into in a sec but tegiri please leave tiagon and his hat alone what did he ever do to you

so tegiri doesn't talk about actias much, lanque does. besides the obvious implications of actias being a transman in some way (as he's a male jadeblood) there's also the implication that actias and lanque are exes in some way, lmao. which is like, really funny to me, because unless they're just REALLY bitter flush exes, it kinda reads to me that they had some kind of really intense pitch fling over who has better tboy swag which I honestly love lmao

and for anyone curious, here's a magazine we see with H2D on it! I believe that in left to right order we see vestri, onhors, actias, tiagon, and kimani. the rest of the information we have about Hatched 2 Dance is pretty much just the fact that the five of them have some kind of deal worked out with the Empire that will let them have really cushy off-world/government jobs so they can continue making music even when they're doing their "duty serving the empire."

Anyways I really like this design of who I assume is Onhoors it would be wild if it wasn't him. High chance his design has been changed looking between this look and the H2D magazine in act 2 he seems to maybe be wearing a hat???
