Secret garden dall’ep 11 fino al FINALE
Tumblr media
Perchè effettivamente Secret Garden racchiude tali qualifiche.
Troppi accadimenti tutti insieme.

The Great Seducer/ Tempted
Im happy to announce that Woo Do- Hwan has officially entered my long list of BEST KDRAMA ACTORS IN THE WORLD!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
-The list is long (through no fault of my own) can you blame me? there are just so many amazing actors, its hard to choose-
Allow me to begin by saying this drama is f’ed up, many of the relationships are destructive, co-dependent and manipulative; and the characters are linked together is such twisted ways, its crazy.... AND I LOVE IT!
Normally its quite difficult to ‘like’ or even ‘understand’ the ‘evil witch’ character in most Kdramas, but the way that Choi Soo-ji was introduced as a person, and a friend in the beginning, and her character development shown as the episodes progress: its difficult to dismiss her as just evil, because the truth of the matter is: She’s not.....well not in the typical sense.
Even though she’s manipulative and she uses the people around her, including her loved ones, as weapons for her gain, she does all this to protect those that she cares for: her friends and especially her mother; She’s powerful, clever and a force to be reckoned with. Its obvious that Mun Ka young worked really hard in understanding the depths of her character and her effort can be seen on the screen. I really want to see more of her work in the future. (Plus every time she appears on screen, i’m reminded of ‘Exo next door’ and my heart glows a little *Happy dance*).
Okay moving on to Joy (Park Soo- young). Ive seen a lot of criticism, and some down right mean, comments about her acting, and i dont think that she deserves it. Yes, her acting isnt perfect, and yes she is still slightly lacking, but i still feel like she did an amazing job portraying her character on screen, and considering it was her first leading role , she did amazingly. Eun Tae-Hee is also a powerful character, different to Choi Soo-Ji, but still independent, free thinking and a ‘fight for what you want’ kind of girl, which i always love to see on screen. Joy has so much potential as an actress and i wish the world will see that (GO RED VELVET!!!!!)
WOW this is a long post... and mainly female Centered #Girlpower...
but the lead male actors just break my heart..
Kim Min-Jae (Lee Se-Joo) has made me cry more then a few times...the story about his mum and his fear of violence..... i really wish he will finds someone that truly loves and appreciates him (please Jeong Ha-Dam... please Jeong Ha-Dam).....
Wo Do-Hwan has indeed taken the kdrama world by storm, since his appearance, and this drama can be added to his ever growing list of successes..... i just love him so much (*ugly cries...*)

Rest of 2021 Watch List
With only six and a half months left of 2021, it’s time to get serious about my drama watching habits. I’m so behind and there are several things that are (supposed to be) coming out in the later part of the year. So, here is my list of things that I want to start/am interested in. Granted, some of these things may change as more information comes out about them. Or I may just decide not to watch them. And some may get pushed back into 2022.
Already Aired:
Lucifer: season 5b (USA) - Though the first half of season five left us on a cliffhanger, I just cannot seem to sit myself down to finish out the season. It may be the mixed reactions of long time fans or the knowledge that season six is the last, either way, I’m having a hard time getting back into the show.
Youth of May: (South Korea) - This romantic, moody, slice-of-life drama. I was waiting for it.The ending is going to break my heart, so I have to be ready for it. I hear the preformances are amazing, but I know I’ll be crying.
Word of Honor: (China) - Everything I’ve heard about this drama makes it sound amazing. And while I know things will be heartbreaking - I just need to prepare.
Currently Airing:
Doom at Your Service: (South Korea) - I watched the first four episodes (I think?), but I am waiting to binge it after it ends. Why? The first few episodes were so good, I want to be able to watch it all at once.
The Penthouse: War in Life, Season 3: (South Korea) - I was super excited for this one...then I heard about Logan’s “brother” and, uh...maybe I’ll just watch the clips of my favorites?
Mad for Each Other: (South Korea) - I know very little about this drama, but it looks amazing and I’m hearing good things.
Mine: (South Korea) - So, it sounds like two daughter-in-laws of a rich family work together to get what they want. It looks good.
My Roomate is a Gumiho: (South Korea) - It just looks fluffy and adorable. And I need that.
Coming Soon:
June:
Ancient Love Poetry: (China) - It just sounds sweet and sad and I love a good Chinese drama that will make me smile and eat up the angst.
Nevertheless: (South Korea) - Honestly? The Netflix trailer looked interesting.
July:
The New Version of the Condor Heroes: (China) - I love this story and the 2014 one was a hotmess. The promo pictures look good, though they were released in 2018. Rumor is the drama has been shelved, but we’ll see what happens.
The Devil Judge: (South Korea) - You have Ji Sung staring in a dystopian drama, where he is the as the head judge of the highest court in the land. The court has become a TV reality show, with viewers invited to participate in a live. The one person looking to take him down is Kim Min Jung as the director of a corporate social responsibility foundation. And then you have two childhood friends: Park Jin Young and Park Gyu Young, idealist who want to make their world better. I look forward to Ji Sung and Kim Min Jung battling it out, and maybe corrupting the idealist cop and younger judge.
Boku no Satsui ga Koi wo Shita: (Japan) - This one may not ever get English subtitles, as Japanese dramas aren’t really subbed anymore...however, the story sounds amazing. A young man finds out his dead foster-father was a professional killer and this young man decides to take up the “family business” to avenge for the father.  The young man approaches a womanwho is his assassination target. Despite his skill as a hitman, he can’t ever kill her, not matter how hard he tries. Instead, he ends up protecting her and the two fall  in love. This could go so many places and I want to see it.
August:
Red Sky: (South Korea) - A beautiful and genius painter meets a blind officer in charge of astronomy, geography, art of divination, and meteorology. The two fall in love. And it’s marked as a “historical romantic fantasy”? Yes, please!
October:
The Red-Stained Sleeve Cuff: (South Korea) - The story of Sung Deok Im, a court lady.  She catches the eye of Crown Prince Lee San. Once the prince becomes king, he wants Sung Deok Im to become his concubine, but she refuses. Yet, Sung Deok Im becomes the concubine of King Jeongjo. This could be angsty. Also, it stars Lee Jun Ho (who you may remember from Just Between Lovers) and Lee Se Young (who always brings it).
December: (or 2022...?)
Twenty-Five Twenty-One (South Korea) - The love story of two people, who have really bad-timing, told over the period of four years. Personally, I’m hoping for a poignant human drama ala Just Between Lovers or Come And Hug Me. (Minus death and murders),
Return: (South Korea) - This is literally described as: “A fantasy drama about the stories of young magicians who deal with heavenly spirits.” It will be on tvN, which usually has really solid dramas. There is a cast of talented up-and-comers: Lee Jae Wook, Arin, Park Hae Eun, and Hwang Min Hyun. There are also some talented vets in the cast: Yoo Joon Sang, Oh Na Ra, and Joo Sang Wook. It’s beingdirected by Park Joon Hwa Everything looks great on paper. It’s just - the drama will be written by the Hong Sisters. During my early days of Kdrama viewing (way back in the mid 2010s), these ladies wrote some of my favorites. And while I did love Hotel de Luna and A Korean Odyssey - it has become very clear over the years that these writers don’t do well during the second halves of their dramas and they aren’t always great at endings.
Snowdrop (South Korea) -  It takes place in 1987, and follows students at a prestigious university in Seoul. It will be written by Yoo Hyun Mi, who wrote SKY Castle and The Bridal Mask. I’m looking forward to it, even though I heard there was pushback (which has resulted in the show airdate being moved back a couple of times) from the South Korean citizens'  who believe that the drama distorts facts related to the pro-democracy movement of the 1980s in favour of the authoritarian regime. This was based on an incomplete version of the plotline that had been leaked online, which describes one character as a “spy” and another lead as working for the NSP. We’ll see
At Some Point in 2021/early 2022...?:
The Witcher, Season Two
The Umbrelllla Academy, Season Three
The Boys, Season Three

201012 ‘The Spies Who Loved Me’ Shinhwa’s Eric Moon Jung Hyuk: “Group Chemistry among Kim Tae Wo, Jung Suk Yong, Cha Joo Young, Bae In Hyuk is Interesting”
The entire lineup for the Interpol Secret Agents of ‘The Spies Who Loved Me’ has been revealed.
On October 12th, MBC's new Wed-Thu mini-series ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ (directed by Lee Jae Jin, script by Lee Ji Min) unveiled photo stills of the secret agents of Interpol's second Asia branch with Eric Moon Jung Hyuk, Kim Tae Woo, Jeong Suk Yong, Cha Joo Young and Bae In Hyuk are hard at work.
‘The Spies Who Loved Me’ depicts a thrilling secret romantic comedy based on two husbands with many secrets and a woman caught up in a spy espionage.
Tumblr media
The second Asia branch of Interpol's industrial secrets bureau disguised as a travel publishing company was revealed. The sight of them chatting while gathering at an office is no different from the average office workers. However in other photos, the unexpected aura of Interpol agents who have changed their gaze, is intriguing.
Tumblr media
First, Jeon Ji Hoon (played by Eric Moon Jung Hyuk), who takes off his travel writer's mask and returns to his ‘main role’ as a secret agent to pursue a case, has a fierce look in his eyes. Charisma exudes from his intense aura of not wanting to miss even the smallest clue.
Tumblr media
Kim Tae Woo, who perfectly transforms any character into his own color, plays the role ‘Ban Jin Min’, Director of Asian Affairs at Interpol's Bureau of Industrial Confidentiality. He may seem easygoing on the outside but is a seasoned veteran who has the power to penetrate to the heart of the case. Kim Tae Woo will captivate viewers with his tit-for-tat yet warm-hearted chemistry with Moon Jung Hyuk.
Tumblr media
‘Kang Tae Ryong’, head of Interpol's second Asian branch, will be played by Jung Suk Yong, who possesses a friendly charm. Kang Tae Ryong is the one who recognized Jeon Jihoon's capabilities and led him all the way to Interpol. Being a mentor and father-like figure, he has a thoroughly civil servant mind that remains faithful to the operations and missions.
Tumblr media
Cha Joo Young, a talented actress who shows off her girl crush charm, also draws the viewers’ attention. Cha Joo Young invigorates the drama by playing the role of ‘Hwang Seo Ra,’ who enjoys every operation like a game and revels in the thrill of it.
Tumblr media
Bae In Hyuk, a rising star in the spotlight, transforms into ‘Kim Young Gu’, an analyst and the youngest of Interpol's industrial secrets bureau. In the drama, his intelligence as a KAIST grad and his handsome appearance adds excitement. People are already looking forward to the fun and exciting team play of secret agent equipped with unexpected charisma.
Moon Jung Hyuk said, "Kim Tae Woo and Jung Suk Yong are taking charge of the center of this team. It's a lot of fun to create scenes together because we have good acting chemistry." He continued, “Actress Cha Joo Young is full of energy and has good acting sense, so we were able to make the scenes richer by discussions on the set and watching the playback. I also have good chemistry with actor Bae In Hyuk. He will be loved by viewers for his unique and warm-hearted charm.”
First broadcast premieres on October 21st.

My 2017 Most Hated and Favorite Dramas
2017 wasn’t the best drama year for me at the beginning. After Goblin finished, every drama was just not doing it for me. In February, I decided to take a break from dramas and I didn’t watch a single drama (not any Asian drama period), for two months, but I can’t help myself and  I finally went back to dramaland and for this year my tally is:
Dramas completed: 43
Dramas re-watched: 10
Dramas dropped:31
Highest rating given: 9
Lowest rating given: 2
The Dramas I Hated
Missing 9
Tumblr media
This show started off with an interesting premise. Bunch of people stranded on an island. There should be mystery and intrigue, people possibly killing each other or whatever. It started off petty well.  The show did have mystery and intrigue, but it didn’t really deliver.  The show started going downhill after a certain point and I honestly don’t even remember what it was that made this show go downhill, I just remember that it did, and I stopped enjoying anything that happened. I do remember the character’s seeming pretty dumb when it came to handling the villain and don’t even get me started on the villain or that wtf ending.
The Liar and His Lover
Tumblr media
I only watched this because a lot of people said it was better than it looked. It really wasn’t. The acting wasn’t good, the story wasn’t all that great and I could bring myself to care about any of the characters problems.I did like that almost kiss in the phone booth though. It was incredibly sexy. it’s a shame this was a different drama where that kind of chemistry could have continued.
Suspicious Partner
Tumblr media
I can’t believe I actually watched this entire show. The only thing I liked about it was that Breathing Your Love song. I watched this from beginning to end and every episode was so painfully boring. There were a few minutes where I was interested, but then ultimately I got bored again. If I had been watching this on my own, I probably wouldn’t have watched past the first few episodes.
Hit the Top/The Best Hit
Tumblr media
As much as I loved Enrique from Flower Boy Next Door, I could not get myself to like Hyun Jae, even though he was a similar character. He was far too childish and annoying to me. I’m one of those people who just couldn’t get past Hyun Jae and Woo Seung together. When Hyun Jae went to the future and found out Ji Hoon was his son, all I wanted was for the show to play with that and forge some type of bond between Ji Hoon and Hyun Jae, but nooo, show instead wants to focus on the love story between father and his son’ s crush. I couldn’t root for Hyun Jae at all. Sure Ji Hoon technically wasn’t his son, but he didn’t know that at first and still never tried to form a relationship with him. And to make things worse, once the show really started focusing on the romance, everything else was pushed to the side. I wanted to see Ji Hoon rap again and see a little more of his path with Drill trying to make it in the industry. I wanted to see where Woo Seung was planning on taking her career. Grandpa and Mal Sook were the best part of this show and they were ditched at the end too.
Reunited Worlds
Tumblr media
I love Yeo Jin Goo and I love noona romances, so of course I was going to watch this show. It wasn’t good unfortunately. Aside from it not being all that engaging, the show just didn’t work. The acting was off (even Jin Goo’s acting wasn’t his best),  the chemistry was off, and every time the three leads were on screen together, whether it was Hae Sung and Jung Won, Jung Won and Min Joon, Min Joon and Hae Sung, or all three of them together, I always felt this awkward vibe between them. The age gap between Lee Yeon Hee,  Ahn Jae Hyun, Yeo Jin Goo was far too noticable. Jin Goo is a teenager and was a teenager in the show and you could feel the gap between them when they shared scenes. There was always just this offness between them as if none of them were particularly comfortable in playing these roles opposite each other where they were all supposed to be on the same level, but clearly weren’t.
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
Tumblr media
Supposedly one of the best dramas of the year, but it’s sexist, homophobic, offensive for multiple other reasons, and just plain boring.
Favorites
The Boy Next Door/Some Guy
Tumblr media
From the studio that brought us Lily Fever comes The Boy Next Door. I wasn’t going to watch this because I really ain’t here for the queerbait at this point, but I caved and watched it anyway, because I’ll take a good bromance since it’s as close to the gay as I’m gonna get. It was a funny, short, and a fairly enjoyable web drama.
Fight My Way
Tumblr media
I loved this slice of life drama. Loved the characters and that there were two couple here going through two different stages in their relationships. It was funny and relatable in multiple aspects. There were a few missteps in the show ( Dong Man and Ae Ra’s skirt, Ae Ra’s father beating Dong Man which was clearly supposed to be funny, and I could have really used a little more plot about Ae Ra and her career). It wasn’t the best drama I’ve ever seen, but it was warm and comfortable. A very pleasant show to watch and that’s a good thing. Seol Hee was a stand out character for me.
The Guardians/Lookout
Tumblr media
Badass female lead, a great antihero, Kim Seul Gi, Key, hottie priest, and a good ost wrapped up in one show? What’s not to like? Sure the characters did a few illogical things throughout the show, but I enjoyed the ride. Kim Young Kwang really proved himself here.
Because this is Our First Life
Tumblr media
When I first heard about this show, I didn’t particularly think it was going to be good. Then I heard a million good things about it, so of course I had to check it out. Six episodes in, and I was not impressed. It was okay, watchable, but nothing to write home about. I watched more anyway, and then I don’t know what happened, but it really started clicking for me. The show was funny and honest with interesting conversations and interesting characters, and just when I thought something would be extremely cliche,  things would go in a different direction. I didn’t particularly care about Wo Rang and Ho Seok and I didn’t really like the last episodes arc with Ji Ho leaving and not telling Se Hee of her obvious plans to return, but overall this was definitely one of the best dramas of the year.
Go Back Couple
Tumblr media
This drama wasn’t even remotely on my radar. The plot didn’t sound all that intriguing on paper, but I needed something to watch one day, and this was one of the new shows that had aired. I swear people completely slept on this show. I can’t even particularly remember why I loved it so much, but it was funny and cute. I loved Jin Joo and her group of friends, the likable love rivals, the gender role reversal in the second couple (also a likable aspect in BTLIOF), and of course the emotional highs and lows involving Jin Joo and her mother and of course Seo Jin. I wasn’t fond of Ban Do at the beginning, but I knew the show was going to show us his turn around and show us that he was actually worthy of Jin Joo and they didn’t disappoint. Jang Na Ra was also really good in this role. I knew she was a good actor, but she never really impressed me before, but her scenes were so good here I had to put her on my favorite actors list. This one was my favorite drama of the year.
Honorable Mentions (These shows aren’t over yet, but they deserve to be on my favorites list..for now.)
Wise Prison Life/ Prison Playbook
Tumblr media
Another show where I can’t really pinpoint why I like it so much. It’s slow and the episode run time is ridiculous, but it’s so good. I’m not up to date with this solely because I don’t want to run out of subbed episodes to watch. It’s great watching Je Hyuk navigate prison life and I love that we get the other prisoners stories. The show really helps to humanize them all and show that everyone may not be exactly what they seem at first. I really hope this show stays good as it continues into the next year.
Money Flower
Tumblr media
Another show I think isn’t getting as much credit as it deserves. I really wasn’t going to watch this because it sounded like your typical cliche revenge melo. It’s definitely makjang and melo, but that’s never a bad thing when it’s done right, and this one’s done right. The characters are intriguing and morally corrupt, even the main lead Pil Joo is slightly gray. The relationships between the characters are interesting too. Pil Joo and Boo Cheon seem to have this type of love-hate relationship, where Pil Joo’s love may or may not be fake. I love the sexual tension between Pil Joo and Mal Ran where Mal Ran seems to be attracted to Pil Joo even though she clearly doesn’t trust him completely, and Pil Joo certainly uses that attraction to his advantage.  I’d really love to see this twisted relationship play out. Can I have another drama based on this relationship please? Mo Hyun wasn’t that interesting of character at the start. She seemed like more of a love interest and a pawn in this game more than anything else, but given the most recent episodes, she’s stepping up to the plate, and I’m really excited to where this is going.

Goodbye Februar 2021
Inhalt:
Schreibprozess - woran arbeite ich?
Leseliste - was lese ich?
Watchlist - was begeistert mich bei Netflix?
Playlist - musikalische Highlights
Ausblick - was erwarte ich im März?
2. Leseliste - was lese ich?
Mal dem Roman “50 Shades of Grey” (Teil 1) zugewandt.
3. Watchlist - was begeistert mich bei Netflix?
Was haben wir geschaut?
Serien:
Filme:
Meisterdetektiv Pikachu - sehr gute Unterhaltung! ^.^
Pandora (koreanisches Katastrophen-Drama) - richtig gut!
Neuerscheinungen, hervorheben.
Monsta X: Wanted (Pop-Song, japanisch)
I.M.: Duality (1. Solo-Album; Title-Track: God damn; Rap; englisch/koreanisch)
SHINee: Don’t Call Me - The 7th Album (Album, Title-Track: Don’t Call Me; englisch/koreanisch; mein Fav-Song: Marry You)
Album “Love Synonym: Right for us“ (Pop; koreanisch/englisch), was mein persönliches Monats-Highlight sein wird. d(^_^)b Die Album-Preview (vgl. YouTube) war bereits unfassbar toll. Hach, hach, hach.
Was erwarte ich nun also vom März?

Do you have any drama recommendations? I've only watched like 4 so if you would recommend me some.? Please, and thank you!
Here are some recommendations sorted by country ^^It’s a long post so I put the post under a read more line.
KDRAMAS
Among the currently airing dramas I’d rec Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.
Tumblr media
Recent dramas I’ve loved are Goblin, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and Age of Youth.
As for older dramas, I’ll try to categorize them:
Family: Five Enough | Can You Hear My Heart | Smile, You
School: Reply 1997 | School 2013 | Angry Mom
Thriller/Romcom: I Hear Your Voice | Healer | I Remember You | City Hunter
Romcom: Marriage not Dating | Pinocchio | Dal Ja’s Spring
Suspense: White Christmas | Signal | Heartless City | Two Weeks
Music: Shut Up Flower Boy Band | Dream High
Historical: Queen In Hyun’s man |  Six Flying Dragons | Sungkyunkwan Scandal
JDRAMAS
Tumblr media
School: Hana Yori Dango |  Stand Up| Hana Kimi | Nobuta wo Produce |  Gokusen season 1 | Switch Girl
Psychological : Liar Game | Kazoku Game | Love Shuffle
Family: Dear Sister |  Ryuusei no Kizuna | Engine
Detective: Keizoku 2: SPEC | Okitegami Kyoko no Biboroku
Romcom: One Pound Gospel | Hotaru no Hikari | Saikou no Rikon | Date | Rich Man Poor Woman
Romance with sports elements: Pride | Buzzer Beat
Other: Mondai no Aru Restaurant | W no Higeki
TWDRAMAS
Tumblr media
They are all basically romcom:
My Lucky Star | Just You | Marry Me or Not? | Why Why Love
LAKORNS (Thai)
Tumblr media
- Hormones season 1 and 2, this is about teens and their problems, similar to shows like Skins and Skam.
- Full House Thai, which is my very first thai drama, the leads are adorable in this and I prefer this to the korean original version.
