I am obsessed with how many insane Ruby Sunday conspiracies there were on this blog and yet not a single one of them was correct. She’s a monster, she’s the doctors daughter, she’s Sutekh’s daughter, she’s a tv show character, she’s the human embodiment of storytelling.

so im about to listen malevolent for the first time and wanted to summarize everything i (dont) know beforehand through extremely limited mutual osmosis.

[ unceremoniously, there is a letter on top of the mailbox rather than in it - and ontop of it sits a crow, cocking its head expectantly at martyn, as if to tell him - open up the mail! ]

[ the mail seems a little bit heavy - and inside, there is a gift of goodwill. a pretty bit of lapis that has been moulded into a sphere shape - not quite large, not heavy enough to put on a strain on the crow that carries the mail. it is quite pretty, though, and shines if you look at it in just the right way in the light. ]

[ the mail reads as follows. ]

hello, i've heard of someone new joining the mail system, so i thought i'd send my greetings as well! i've been trying to spice up my welcome gifts, so i hope this does well. i don't go mining quite often, but when i do, i try and take what i find back up and turn them into something pretty.

i hope you're well! i'm not actually sure where you reside, but i trust the crow to get this to you safely - they get them to the other places well enough, even though i'm not sure how they travel through servers. what's it like, where you're at? the weather, the flora and fauna? anything interesting lately that you've been up to?

[I would’ve missed the mail had there not been a crow atop my mailbox. Does this person just not have stamps? The crow is just staring at me, which is kinda weird in itself, did someone really go through the effort of training a crow?]

[I open up the mail and my fingers still, I swear my heart stopped for just a second. I soon regain control of my muscles and dance my fingers over the smooth surface of the lapis, it was cool, and even touching it brings back memories of a long forgotten world. I take a breath and extract the crystal, pocketing it. I read the letter.]

I’m not really sure where I reside- if I did, I’d tell you- , I know where I used to, and where I sometimes do, but not where I am. It’s a nice place, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve lived in better, I’ve lived in safer. It gets lonely here. I’ve, uh planted roses recently.
