So this scene is hilarious (and BRUTAL), but what always strikes me is how Wolfwood is this upset that he winds up doing this. He’s seen Vash at the fifth moon incident, he was in absolute terror of what Vash is and could be, and he came to get Vash to get back at Knives or some vague reason like that--regardless, he’s made no effort in disguising the fact that he’s using Vash or something like that. At least, that’s what he says.

So the fact that he was so upset that someone hurt his “pal” that he went and poured hot sauce on his face when it was against Vash’s wishes (and if he’s using Vash, keeping on his good side is a good idea!), is something else for a moment so easily passed off as a gag.

Amongst the myriad ways the Voltron: Legendary Defender writers failed spectacularly, is the unintentionally humorous example of Shiro's supposed future husband, "Curtis", having more chemistry with Acxa, in the form of an actual conversation he initiates with the intention of learning personal information about her.

"What about you, Acxa? Did you have pets where you're from?"

"I never had a creature companion. But, one of my partners, Narti, was bonded to an immortal cat named Kova.

That cat gave her the ability to experience the world."

"Oh. That's... 'great'."

This is more than he has with Shiro in the entire thirteen episode season, wherein their interactions are limited exclusively to shouting impersonal commands at each other in the heat of battle.

#Voltron: Legendary Defender #Meta.#VLD Meta.#I don't care what anyone says; I will NEVER acknowledge Shiro and Mr. Set-Dressing's 'relationship' as canon.#There's no chemistry #no build-up #no basis for it #'Curtis' himself has no personality to speak of outside of this interaction #which makes him seem like kind of a jerk (poor Shiro is 2-2 on asshole boyfriends #apparently)#and the animators made 'Curtis' look like a sorry middle-aged loser who went in to try and lift or dip his strapping younger groom #drew up short when he realized he's physically incapable of doing either #and then tried to conceal his shame with a kiss.#All because the asshole showrunners wanted brownie points for helming the first cartoon aimed at a child audience to show an onscreen gay #wedding #after they put Shiro through HELL #KILLED him #only brought him back because they were ordered to #and then treated him like a worthless side character they kept around out of obligation while disrespecting at every feasible turn.#They get no brownie points and they and their joke of a 'wedding' can piss off forever.#All I want is to fly with queue.

#that last post really unleashed some feelings #aunties always used to ask me what my brother was currently doing #and I was like he's in college #and their next question always used to be in which engineering college he was studying in or some question already assuming he took up #engineering #and it used to always make me so furious like bitch there are other courses than those two fields one can pursue #just bc both my parents were engineers doesn't mean my brother wants to be one #he has his own mind and dreams that he wants to achieve #and then once my math teacher when I talked about my brother taking up history and international relations course was like so he's not as #smart or intelligent as you or something shitty like that and I was like how does him not liking math equate to his level of smartness #everyday I thank all lords that my brother was able to escape such narrow minded people and moreover escape from courses that would've #killed him #but God the shit he had to go through from both the society and my parents for a long while #the trauma he was subjected to on a daily basis bc of his different interest I wish I couldve done something for him through those years #I wish I had enough maturity to blow some sense into those people #and now in my batch I see people like my brother who couldn't escape struggle through the course #for some people the only reason they came to this field was to make their parents proud as if that should be anyone's goal in life as if th #dreams dont matter and some others being forced into it #there could be millions of 3 idiots and taare zameen pars but our fucking society never changes #I'm so tired of this trend I'm so tired of our children being sacrificed for this
