Home Alone (1990). An eight-year-old troublemaker, mistakenly left home alone, must defend his home against a pair of burglars on Christmas Eve.

It's pretty easy to see why this has become the Christmas classic that it has. Charming, funny, with some real emotional catharsis, it just gets everythng that a Christmas movie's supposed to be. It's kind of wild, in that sense, that it was nominated for two Oscars, particularly in a year that was genuinely pretty stacked. I can't imagine a family comedy film like this being nominated like this today. 7.5/10.

I’ve been making the joke that Succession should have a final episode which is a Christmas special called Rome Alone for months now. So now I’m actually making it a fic!

it starts off relatively sad but I promise it will be very tongue and cheek full of home alone references and a good batch of Christmas fun!!
