There's something about kid's church that restores your faith - they are just so uncomplicated in their faith, it's so lovely to see their love for God

And like, there's nothing more cute than cheesy kid's Jesus songs!!

Sometimes as adults I think we need to just eat ice cream, draw pictures of fish and just be with Jesus in an uncomplicated way

Kutchan church has a Sunday School called Robako (Little Donkey) Kids. It meets from 9:20 to 10 am on Sunday mornings. When the church called a pastor 5 years ago there was no children’s work at all. For the next 2 years Sunday School was run by the pastor and his wife for their 2 sons. Now around 10 children attend Robako Kids including some from non-church families and they have other adult helpers. Seeds sown in childhood through Sunday schools, Christian kindergartens and mission schools make it so much easier for Japanese to come to faith in later life. Today was all about Jericho.The people of Israel were asked to just march around their city over and over again, and the walls would fall. Eden thought those instructions were CRAZY just like they did! When the people had done what God called them to do, the walls of Jericho came crumbling down. The ‘Very Best Bible Stories’ now in Japanese! I recently came across one of my journals from 12 years ago. In it I had written about my trip to Cameroon with the Wycliffe Bible Translators. I travelled to Africa while at university and was still unsure exactly what I would do with my life. Illustration? Animation? Photography?... but maybe, if I had been paying more attention, I would have noticed that trip presented me with a big clue. A heavenly ‘breadcrumb’ on the path I should follow. Of all the charities I could have picked, this one would prove to be one of the most significant, and it has only just dawned on me why it was so important. I had the wonderful opportunity to watch the delight on people’s faces as they heard the word of God in their mother tongue. Some cried, others clapped and cheered, while many people sat on the edge of their seats in silence, hanging on every word. Coming from Northern Ireland, where there is ready access to places of worship and the word of God, it’s hard to comprehend that there are people on the other side of the world who risk their lives to read from the bible. NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS 💕

Happy New Year! New year and new class! 💕

For almost nine years in our church's Sunday School, I've held all classes- Toddlers, Pre-Primary, Primary and Juniors. The latest department I taught was the Juniors Department and that was only last year.

Now, I'm back to teaching the younger ones! Challenging? YES! ABSOLUTELY. I've been teaching youth for two years and how can I adjust so fast to 7s and 8s?? Exciting? Oh yeah! A child's heart is just so open to God's word and I can't wait to teach these children God's Word. So there, everyone, meet the Pre-Primary Department! Wooooooh! 😂🎉
