A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that what I am praying for is already accomplished in the name of Jesus. Your Word promises “no good thing does He withhold from those that walk uprightly” (Psalm 84:11). I wait upon You for Your definition of the “good thing” You will not withhold from me. Romans8:1-39

So many times we compromise the Word of God saying .."I know all my needs are met but.." When in fact it should be; I know this doesnt look good.. But God!

These are blessings you should make a habit of pronouncing on yourself every single day: In CHRIST , I am forgiven, I am healed, I am strong, (Psalm103:3-5) I am loved, (John3:16) I am provided for, (Philippians4:19) I have long and abundant life. (John10:10) Rejoice!

Look right in front of you...

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:19

Do you see it?  Look harder! Let me rephrase…listen more and “look” with the Holy Spirit!  Do you truly believe that every single thing that you need in this very moment is provided for you?  On this day of Thanksgiving make it a practice for the remainder of your life to fully embrace God’s love for you, and His provision for your life!  The leaves come forth in the spring and cover the ground in the fall.  Animals hibernate and migrate in the winter.  Your body shivers in the cold to get warm and sweats in the hot weather to cool down.  You have eyes to see, ears to hear, a nose to smell, nerve endings on your fingertips to feel and taste buds in your mouth to enjoy that turkey and gravy!  God has equipped you to live on this earth, and not just to survive, but thrive!  Everything you need, God provides!  

Don’t worry about five minutes down the road…don’t concern yourself too much with the past but instead learn from it…live in the moment and know that God loves you beyond what human language can express!  He sent His Son to die on the Cross for you, so that you can live forever with Him, be free from sin, and live fully into the life He gives us!  Be thankful for family and friends, but also be thankful for every little blessing of provision that God brings to your life…we need Him in every moment and He is there for us in every moment.

We need to use our brain when we are in need. Turn to the one who created us to give us the right answer. He is God and we celebrate His birth this Holy season. Look to God when your need arises. Jesus was born to suffer and die for our sins. He took the place of unblemished animals on the alter in the Holy of Holies behind the curtain. He became the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. Believe in Jesus and your sins will be forgiven, your needs will be met, He will always be with you through the Holy Spirit. How many times has He already told us to pray and ask for what we need and our prayers will be answered. I have seen so many miracles that the world would say is just a coincidence but it’s not. I have seen so many things that have no explanation but I know that it is God’s protection on us. My favorite scripture is in John 14:13-14 “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” That scripture makes it very plain as to what to do when you are in need. It doesn’t take a genius to understand what Jesus is telling us. He reiterates that in Eph. 6:18, Proverbs 28:9, John 15:7, Mark 11:22-24, Philippians4:6, John 9:31, Matthew 7:7-8, 1Peter 3:12, Colossians4:2, Psalm 40:1, John 16:23-24, James 1:6, Matthew 21:21-22, 2 Chronicles 7:14, John 15:16, Hebrews 11:6, Matthew 5:23-24, James 5:15-16, Psalm 116:1, James 4:2, Matthew 7:11, James 4:3, 1 Peter 3:7, 1 John 5:14,1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Psalm 66:18-19, and Isaiah 1:15-20. In the spirit of #ShirleyChisholm, I have the #faith to go after my “God dreams!” The dreams that God places in our hearts & spirits takes faith, drive & discipline to bring to pass! For God knows what we will be up against as we seek to manifest our “God dreams.” God knows that tremendous opposition shall come our way along w/great disappointments, failures, obstacles, challenges & heartbreak. For it is the things that we want most that will test our faith most! But it is our faith that we must lean on in these trying, testing times.
