Tomura sat at the counter bouncing up and down excitedly. "are they ready yet?!" he asked for the 1000th time. "Almost." you replied with a gentle smile. The smile on his face grew wider as he squirmed around impatiently. When the plate of pancakes was finally set before him, Tomura's eyes lit up. He drowned them in syrup, a contented smile spreading across his face with each bite.

or he'll just eat dry cereal if he gets no pancakes

Touya runs into the kitchen grunting while trying to climb up onto the counter. He tries reaching but to no avail... it takes a while for him to suck up his pride and ask you for help. "Mm..oi..could you pass me that?" he requests while pointing to the muffins. "Of course." you reply with a smile that warms his heart and brings a smile to his face.

doesn't really mind what he eats for breakfast

Chocolate croissants

Toga runs into the kitchen bursting with energy as she stands in front of you. She stares up at you expectantly for about a minute before telling you what she wants. After you get the hint you place down a plate with a warm chocolate croissant. Toga’s face lit up with pure delight. She darted over to the table and eagerly reached for a croissant, her tiny hands barely able to contain her excitement. “They look so yummy!” You smile as you watch Toga break off a piece of the croissant, revealing the gooey chocolate hidden inside. “I’m glad you think so. Just be careful not to get chocolate everywhere.”

She proceeds to get it everywhere

also I don't think she minds what she gets for breakfast either

I appreciate that Horikoshi takes the time to explore how adverse childhood experiences can impact a person's affect. Because blunted/flat affect, the restriction or complete flatness of facial expression, is real. Eri and Shouto are both good examples of this side effect of traumatic experiences.
