when i first saw lyah’s title i didnt know what emancipated meant and i thought it was a synonym for constipated

Lol no, apparently it's not. And just to provide a little more context, all my PC's titles are Kiara-referenced

"Lya the Blossom" - from one of Kiara's Noble Phantasm lines "Now, return to the lotus flower's blossom / Amitābha Amidala - Heaven's Hole..." and also I simply love flowers and I think of her development like how a flower going from a bud to full bloom.

"Lyah the Emancipated" - from Kiara's bond 2 description "She is the emancipated Devilish Bodhisattva." You might remember how I created Lyah to be free from Lya's sufferings, hence the "Emancipated". Looking back, Kariya might be more suitable with this title now.

"Kariya the Alter Ego" - Kiara's servant class and literally FGO mechanic lol. Kariya was created using one of Lya's old save files, so technically speaking they are an altered future Lya could've be, an Alter Ego. Even Kariya's name came from Kiara's full name: Sesshouin Kiara -> Sesshouin Kariya

Heck, even Dollya - my avatar/sona's design was inspired by Kiara's third ascension.

Now that the third and final part of Ordeal Call 3 has dropped, it is confirmed that both Male and Female Hakuno Kishinami are playable. They're Moon Cancers, you unlock them upon completing OC3 and are summonable from the FP gacha, just like Habetrot beforehand. You can only pick one of them, however the other one will be made available (again, in the FP gacha) next month.

Kiara Sessyoin (Alter-Ego) also got an animation update.

And Passionlip gets a costume... except not really. The only thing that changes is the background of her card art. (I've never seen such genuine laziness before, incredible.)

It is really sad that just as she's determined to try and change and go against BB for Haku, she's killed.

And I think I've got a guess as to who did it.

I wonder if Hakuno not killing Passionlip allows Kiara to take over the narrative. By having the Alter Egos not be killed by Hakuno, maybe her programming isn't changed in a way that allows her to be so powerful.

What are your thoughts on Hakurin in CCC? I found their interactions to be cute, especially since Rin is a little more open about her crush

HakuRin gets the same treatment as a lot of other Extra casts that return in CCC: more depth. Rin's more upfront about her feelings for Hakuno, even if they fly over her poor head, and we do get more scenes with her and Hakuno. I still remember the screenshots of her commenting how cute Hakuno is in the Extra outfit if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, HakuRin, along with HakuRani, basically gets cast to the side and forgotten in favor of the ship with Sakura, BB, the Alter-Egos, and Hakuno's servants. Rin even gets done more dirty during the True Route as there isn't even a final goodbye moment with her after Kiara betrays everyone, absorbs BB, and Sakura, tossing Hakuno back to the top of the stairs of the labyrinth leading back down into the core, and tossing Hakuno's servant to the edge of the universe within the Far Side. All we get is a few words with Rani as the last interactions we get with the Student Council. It's frustrating because they do all this work to establish Rin and Hakuno's relationship in both Extra and CCC, only to then disregard it in favor for putting Sakura in the limelight only for that to not even matter moving forward with Extella and Link. I wish CCC had an ending with not only Rin and Rani but also Julius and Leo, as both of them were suppose to have endings in Extra but they were cut from the game, instead of just having all of them be shoved to the side for Sakura, who didn't even have a specific ending in Extra.

Let Hakuno somehow breed with Rin, Nasu! We need HakuRin babus to be cannon.

⋗⋗ this has some spoilers! it's under the cut so those who don't want to be spoiled can scroll on by. this is also a very personal headcanon that won't be implemented unless both parties want to rp it.

⋗⋗ it can be treated as a "what if" scenario as well.

⋗⋗ lancer did not join the force against one radiant thing (hereafter called "ort") and was left as backup in case the servants sent out failed their task. and many servants did fail that task, their saint graphs being assimilated into ort and the being growing from it.

⋗⋗ once the servants were retrieved and were in the midst of being resummoned, lancer went out onto the battlefield to buy time for the master to summon servants capable of fighting a foreigner. he fought, drawing on his legend of fighting for months without rest against medb's armies to keep himself standing even with battle continuation kicking in halfway through the fight.

⋗⋗ he was severely injured during this but bought enough time for xu fu, kiara sessyoin (alter ego) and yang guifei to be sent into combat. although he had thought he would disappear and have to be resummoned, he instead fell into a coma and was on life support for an undetermined amount of time.

⋗⋗ he's weaned off life support after a while but remains comatose until after ordeal call III, where he's finally woken up and is slowly rehabilitating.

⋗⋗ lancer has an elbow crutch that he uses to walk with and is generally seen with his hair out of its natural state of "shorter hair spiky, longer hair in a ponytail". his outfit during his rehabilitation is just a loose steel blue yukata and a pair of grey boxers.

⋗⋗ this is more than likely where opinions about him start to change. he isn't a worthless, useless servant. he's useful, viable and a one-man army. especially given how long he fought alone against ort xibalba until he had to be dragged off the battlefield and put into the infirmary.

⋗⋗ lancer is generally just found either in his bed in the infirmary or walking about in the storm border to re-acquaint himself with the ship and its facilities after being in a coma for so long. he's also much quicker to tire and can fall asleep during conversations due to him still recovering.

On friends & acquaintances.

Oberon has a very fatherly/motherly attitude, so at Chaldea you can often find him with the children servants, playing with them and reading them stories. He's very well liked by them, however, Nursery Rhyme is the exception. She's terrified of him and refuses to go close, to his disappointment.

Outside of that role though, although he's pleasant with everyone he holds few friends. There's three (or four) worth mentioning. Miss Crane, Hessian Lobo, and Muramasa. He can often be found longing around while Miss Crane works, chattering about anything and everything, holding unilateral conversations with Hessian Lobo, and pestering Muramasa. However, he's likely to leave if he's spotted.

Vortigern is a bit tricky, as he rarely presents as such. However, when he does it will always be in private with the other person so that no one else might spot him. He has no friends, but he's got four acquaintances; the disciple Alter Egos, and Kiara.

He'll drink and sulk with Muramasa while both make a point of not exchanging any meaningful words, and he will sit near Douman and watch him monologue with the expression of who's morbidly watching a train wreck. When it comes to Kirei, he will mostly just stare at him with his chin on his palm and if awaiting for something. Kiara, on the other side, is a way more active connection, as they're both Beasts and actively despise each other. They call each other by their Seats rather than names, and seem to have an established dynamic; Vortigern will lounge near her and answer a question regarding a specific topic per meeting, whose response she will then proceed to use to amusedly desglose outloud a part of his psique. He normally leaves as halfheartedly as he arrived, without gaining nor losing anything.

So as someone that studies Kiara's character I'll provide some additional info that most people probably wouldn't know about. To start, Kiara's Alter-Ego graph is tainted in a way. Its kind of an odd detail that got brought up in Summer 5 but because of Zepar's scheme, somehow CCC Kiara's personality, traits, etc are downloaded into that class for her. When it got damaged in Summer 5 (thanks Xu Fu) it let FGO Kiara be in charge for the first time since becoming a servant. She can't suppress CCC Kiara's personality completely but she got enough control back to actually be in the driver's seat. The tl;dr of this is any class aside from Alter-Ego in FGO should allow her to be in control but with how the game is who knows what they'll do.

the lore behind HoV and Kiana can be a bit twisted for people being new into the series, but basically Herrscher of the Void (shortened to HoV) is Kiana's evil alter ego with who Kiana keeps fighting over control of her body. I'm afraid explaining their shenanigans and how they started in the first place would be heavily spoiling the plot; unless you don't mind spoilers.

unfortunately while Herrscher of the Void is a god-like being, her appearance is fully human. the only "monster"/nonhuman features she has are her wings

Universe History Precure has 6 seasons, in the seasons the Cures will mature, but also Kaylee will be away in the midst of season 2 until season 3, to get being trained by a grandmother of one of the Cure Grey's of the past.

In Inuyasha's universe, Kaylee discovers that she's also a reincarnation of a Cure Grey, who was a demon slayer, she was in love with Inuyasha and Sesshomaru, but only Inuyasha loved her, she was love rivals with Kikyo, they would regularly fight about who is the one and only girl for Inuyasha.

In Avatar the Last Airbender universe, Emma falls in love with Zuko, but also with Sokka. In the real world, Kaylee, Emma and Felicia are in Stardia, a fictional kpop group, with a Korean girl named Ahyeon, they are in the story the most famous girl group in the world, their fans are called Moonies, and Kaylee is also the leader of Stardia. They are friends with BTS, Blackpink, Stray Kids, NCT, Norwegian duo Marcus and Martinus and more celebrities. They are managed by multiple companies like SM entertainment, JYP entertainment, HYBE and YG entertainment, Kaylee ends up with Seto Kaiba from Yugioh duel monsters in Universe History Precure and Emma ends up with Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender

CCC progress report: I'm pleased to announce Elizabeth's segment is a spectacular return to form. The way it balances humor, cuteness, and levity with seriousness, some extremely heavy topics and some genuinely terrifying moments is really great. It mixes things up in a way that's really satisfying, and it's well-paced despite juggling multiple subplots at once.

Saber's rivalry with Elizabeth is at times funny or endearing, and at times deeply serious, as she has a profound understanding of the core of Elizabeth's issues.

Melt would steal the show with her appearances, which cut the levity of Eli's first two floors with genuine terror and an undeniable sensuality, but the entire back half is some of the best, most consistent material of CCC so far.

Kiara and Hans's moment is both sobering and complex, and I have a lot to say about the reveals it makes on Kiara's character and the way that would affect her impact to a fresh player. The way it tears down your image of her evokes a lot of complex feelings, and it makes me even more excited for the True Route, if that's even possible.

The section for rescuing AI Sakura was done with pathos and flair, and the use of music in particular is amazing. Playing Alter Ego/M during Sakura's desperate hour brought out a whole new side of that song--reflection, long-suffering, a thin ray of hope, an uncertain journey. Not knowing if she could be rescued, and still going forward anyway.

Similarly, Organism Harmonics making its debut inside Sakura's mind was fantastic--though I think it would've benefited from continuing into battles. It made me think of how far we've come, and how even in these desperate situations, we've seen and experienced some really beautiful things.

It was a really good time. I really like this game after all.

So now that CCC has come out and I've played through it I can finally give some thoughts on how the CCC interlude for Extella Zero portion of Rulers of the Moon. First off, it's during all of this that Rin and Hakuno hook up, with Rin getting a lot more focus during CCC, rather than just having the initial chapter then just having nothing else for Rin aside from being a side character. The AU is focused on Rin and Hakuno so very much going have them in the spotlight rather than Sakura coming out of nowhere and being the main ship. Secondly, while Hakuno does still do Punishment Time on Lip and Melt, the Student Council ends up finding a way to have it where Hakuno doesn't end up killing the Alter-Egos. I'm all for Hakuno seeking out a way so they could survive, but what they did in CCC was extremely lazy to the point it ends up hurting Hakuno as a character. Hakuno would still explain why their love is wrong and try to help them correct it, not just leave them as they are and hope they learn themselves. This way the Kiara fight can still happen but it's much less contrived.

Speaking of the Kiara fight, after Nameless, Tamamo, and Nero return from Kiara flinging them 3 to the edge of the galaxy, thanks to Tamamo specifically being able to travel light-speed and bringing Nameless and Nero along, Hakuno sends Shirano (Male Hakuno), Nameless, and Tamamo back to the school building to save and protect Rin and Rani while she deals with Kiara with Nero alone. Very much am not a fan of how Rin and Rani apparently sacrifice themselves to give Hakuno as much time as they can to defeat Kiara before she begins pulling in souls from the Earth and it's extremely brief. Rin and Rani deserved more than a few final lines before their apparently sacrifice and Rin doesn't even get any lines, it's specifically Rani who talks to Hakuno. Finally, the characters remember the events of CCC. Extella seems to go back and forth on if they remember or not and what specifically they remember so I'm just going to have it that, thanks to the way they returned to the Near Side, i.e. Sakura taking over the Moon Cell Core, they all end up retaining their memories, leading to a scene where Rin gets embarrassed about Hakuno asking what she would want to do as a first date. And now finally, the thoughts regarding Karna and Elizabeth when Hakuno and Rin meet them in Extella, since I've now played CCC and can be comfortable about talking about the two. First off, Kara is very much a welcome addition, with Rin even bringing up that she was curious about the other person who logged out in the aftermath of the Grail War. It would be here where Rin would tell Hakuno that, from the Moon Cell's records, Jinako was able to log out of SE.RA.PH. and returned to Earth, with Karna explaining the details about him using his Golden Armor to protect Jinako from being deleted, allowing her to return home which Hakuno is very much thankful to Karna for doing so. Also, as a side note, with their memories intact, Hakuno would take time during the 6th and 7th round, and even before going to the Core, to talk to Jinako, wanting to at least make what she believes is the last weeks of Jinako's life happy ones. Anyways, as for Elizabeth, Rin and Hakuno are surprise to Elizabeth back and very much still holding to her reformed ways, to the point Rin actually starts thinking she could actually make money off of Elizabeth whole idol thing. Still need to work on her singing but Elizabeth is very much an improvement over how the three first met. Also, no, Elizabeth doesn't get corrupted by Archimedes and Velber in this AU. In hindsight, it seems very counter intuitive to have all the development for Elizabeth in CCC only to seemingly dump it by making her a brainwashed/corrupted servant of the Umbral Star, even if she unintentionally ends up saving the day by the end.
