Hi tumblr I havent posted art in decades but uuuhm heres some old doodles… :3 mostly of vanitas of course but theres a few of venitas + my kh oc !!!! constructive crit is appreciated I cant draw anatomy for shit.

Haha, I will GLADLY talk about more worldbuilding nonsense.

So, uh--more made-up KH myths, haha, but I kind of had the idea that there are all sorts of stories about Kingdom Hearts and the X-blade that are only like...partially true. They're an amalgamation of stories that have changed over time as people have told them, with probably a lot of people disagreeing on the specifics. (Which is also 100% my justification for anything someone says about Kingdom Hearts/the X-blade War/etc. that seems to contradict information from earlier; they're all just going off different stories that they've heard, which may or may not be true.) The original idea, though, was that the heart of the original world had to be locked away for its own protection, and a single individual was given the only key to unlock it and charged with protecting it. (...Uh. At least in the Fallen Stars-verse, haha.)

Anyway, I like to think that the X-blade doesn't specifically need to have "13 Darknesses and 7 Lights" to reform; that's just one of many, many stories that cropped up about it. It just needs a large amount of Light and Darkness; essentially, it's a sort of, "When things get out of balance, the weapon will return to give people the ability to access the world's heart and restore it" sort of thing.

Venitas exists because Xehanort THOROUGHLY fucked up. Like--technically the weapon just comes when there's enough light and darkness fighting in an area to cause a significant disturbance, but it's not really supposed to be like...such a big disturbance in a single person. They already had a lot going on just as a person pulled apart (like. The trauma that would've caused them, man--), but if combined with a potential Ancient Darkness/Light--it basically made a mess of things. (Congrats, Xehanort! You have created an entity that is kind of a demigod entirely by accident.)

How do you think Sora would react to Venitas? Do you think he would be scared of them? Do you think, Roxas and Xion would be scared of them (Nvm that Roxas would totally try to fight him but I do think Xion would try to warm up to them tho lol)

Hmmmm they are essentially just Vanitas with Ven’s face. I do think Sora and the Sortas would pull an Aqua with trying to call out to Ven and also beating him up in the process cuz dammit Vanitas this is why you can’t have nice things

The Devil You Know Ven lets Venitas take over when they're under duress. They're powerful, but unbalanced. Ven wonders if he can really keep them in check, or if they'll eventually take over his heart completely.

i do like vanitas (in a kinnie way) and ventus (in a i had a friend who was a ventus fictive forever ago so ventus is an important character to me) and venitas was very cool when it happened
