If you want to be a star, you have to stop peeling your nails. If your nails are ugly, no one will hire you. Alright! I’ll... I’ll play with your hands instead if I’m nervous.

It's Ghost Host Ghost House day again! This week's episode was so good, the series is quickly becoming one of my most anticipated of the week. Here's a few things I especially enjoyed in episode 4, in no particular order:
The representation of desire. I'm not sure how to articulate it, honestly, but it just felt ... well done. I liked that I believed they wanted each other, the consent, how it's also kind of not a big deal afterward? And the next morning felt really joyful to me, which I enjoyed. The whole exposed legs situation was also delightful.
hands, HANDS ACTION EVERYWHERE! There is the way Kevin holds onto Pluem's, one hand in his and the other holding his wrist. Pluem kissing Kevin's hands. I'm a sucker for hand holding and boy, oh boy, I had a field day.
Rosa and Lise! Their appearance is brief, but I just loved the way they were shown. Frankly, I immediately steeled myself for the mocking but nope! Not in this ghost house. They're not comic relief, they're not shown in any negative light, they're just Pluem's friends - I liked that the skinship (is that the word?) they have with him is completely consensual and part of their relationship, and Kevin just thinks they're nice. I don't know, it felt refreshing! (and isn't that sad) Also, both were wearing SUPER cute fits, which is something I always enjoy.
Thai sign language. I won't say much more because, well, I neither sign nor speak thai so I can't judge on the representation of it, but I just really like seeing sign language on screen - and shown as something positive that the characters are excited to share/learn.
the grief. Ok, truth be told I was slightly distracted from the all ghost aspect of the story by the sparkly romance during the first 2/3rd of the episode. But I liked the discussions they had about their personal grief and how it plays into their life. And while it breaks my heart, I do like the way this is going plot wise.
And finally, Pluem. I started relatively neutral about him but he is really, really growing on me. He's consistently sweet, funny, kind, yeah I really like him lots. That final scene at the shrine broke my heart.
I'm now going to take 2 to 5 working days to recover from all of this and to get myself ready for episode 5.
