Helping you apply sunscreen at the beach, sitting next to you on amusement park rides, taking you to the movies and talking the whole time, he's got you! Every night is sleepover night! Every night! Forever and ever!

Just don't let him see you talking to Ken! He's no good and looks at you weird! And Ken is bad too! And you know what, Barbie is just taking up TOO much of your time! And Barbie, and Barbie, and, you know what, Allan is fine though. He's just Allan.

Guys. Guys. I have an idea.

I'm still in the Kenzone Layer of the atmosphere, and I want to make more ken dolls, but I'm hitting a bit of a block.

What if....assuming you'd be so inclined...you guys sent me requests for a certain kind of ken you'd like to see, and then I make it, and then post it and tag you in it?

Whether you want to see a Kennified Townie, a specific flavor of Ken (pilot ken! vampire ken! sugar baby ken!) or even your Simself in Ken Form, I want to try my hand at doing it all.

The delivery will most likely be slow going. but I promise, if you're interested, I'll make it worth your while.

I call this daring project, "The Kenversion Challenge."

Switcheroo

Two thousand years ago, an extra-terrestrial alien life form arrived on the planet of Gaia, and began systematically slaughtering the native Cetra. This being, later known as Jenova, proved to be nearly unstoppable, driving the Cetra race to near-extinction. in the end, a handful of Cetra pressed into the Northern crater and sealed Jenova within, though nearly all of them died. Among them were Son Goku, a child with strange power; and Konzen, Goku’s guardian. Goku was the only survivor.

For nearly all of those next two thousand years, Goku wandered Gaia alone, watching as the last remaining Cetra devolved into ordinary humans. In that time, Goku never aged; but his power with the Lifestream slowly grew stronger.  eventually, he found that Konzen and his other companions had never truly passed away - their minds remained in the Lifestream, memories shattered, yet held together by their desire to protect him. 

Slowly, gradually, Goku found that he was able to manipulate the Lifestream into giving his friends new life while still keeping the core of their minds intact. Though he couldn’t retain all of their past selves, he was able to keep far more of each intact than the natural process of rebirth would have allowed. Kenzon was the first to be reborn, though know he was known as Genjo, and was born a human, rather than a Cetra. He took the ancient title of Sanzo, but he seemed to have little truth faith - his old ideals were warped and chipped away by the realities of life among humans, especially in Midgar.

In time all of the friends were reunited and reborn. But it wasn’t long at all before Son Goku learned of an old threat: Jenova had returned. Only his newly-reborn friends, the same guardians who had sealed her away so long ago, could hope to stop her again.

… Or so they thought.

Kenzo : ”Hi, Kemmy, could you intoroduce yourself first?”

Kemmy :  ”Yes, hi, I’m Kemmy from Indonesia, I’m a 4th grade student of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. I have been doing job hunting to work in Japan now. Nice to meet you.”

Kenzo : ”Nice to meet you too. Kemmy, did you know about Beppu before you came to Japan?”

Kemmy : ”To be honest, I didn’t know about it.haha Tokyo is our typical image of Japan, so I thought Japan doesn’t have local area like us. However, I became a one of the fun of Beppu after I searched Beppu. Beppu has a lot of nature, sea, mountain and hot spring. Metoropolis has some good point to spend, but also Beppu has different type of it. For example, if I’m tired about study and club activities, I could run on a beach at Mochigahama for 30 min. It makes me refresh so much.”

Mr.Tsuruta : ”As you know, Beppu has a lot of hotspring sopts. Had you taken hotspring before you came to Japan?”

Kemmy :  ”No. First time was very embarrassing for me to take...haha I’d never been naked in front of somebody.”

Kenzo :  ”Yeah, it is strage culture for international people to take hotspring by naked.haha”

Kemmy :  ”My family and friends will come to Beppu to see my graduation ceremony on September. We will try to take hot spring together! However, first time is embarrassing for them so we will try family one.”

Kenzo :  ”That sound good! By the way, do you have any other recommendations to visit for your Indonesian friends?”

Kemmy :  ”I prefer to take friends to a quiet place like Sakai-river at Kyomachi. Sit down on grass beside the river and feel nature.” 

Kenzo :  ”The point of you is interesting for me, because it is normal thing for Beppu people. Please let me know that what you recommend next time again! Thank you, Kemmy!”

Ms.Akko :  ”I’m a producer of Hachi-cafe that is located in Kitakoukashitashoutengai. I moved to Beppu from Shonan area 3 years ago. I heard that the cafe’s owner was looking for new owner, and I visited him after my friend and I hiked the Mt.Tsurumidake. She said, wow you will take my place, won’t you? and I decided to manage Hachi-cafe. Power of the Mountain is strong.haha”

Kenzo :  ”How strong isn’t it?haha”

Ms.Akko :  ”Without cafe, I organise Hachi-Festival at Hotel New Tsuruta. Mr.Tsuruta and I were spirited up soon after we met, because we have same friends even we didn’t know each other. For example, my friends and him had worked together. Our encounter is not coincidence.haha”

Mr.Tsuruta :  “Yeah, it is interesting. By the way, she is a professional creator of play. If you don’t know how to play good, you cannot create good one, so you guys should play around of Tokyo more and more.haha”

Ms.Akko :  ”Yes, I mixed private life and play at that time, so some people thought I played hard but I didn’t think so, I just played seriously.haha I didn’t think, just obeyed my feeling.”

Kenzo :  “Did you have any reasons to move to Beppu from Shonan?”

Ms.Akko :  “3.11. I wanted to move to somewhere before that event. Some of my friends moved to somewhere in Japan after that and they started to live there. I told you already, I just obeyed revelation Mt.Tsurumidake.haha”

Mr.Tsuruta :  “Yeah, there is mysterious stream that we cannot go against. I wanted to change Beppu to better place than now, but I cannot do that. I decided to obey the flow after that.”

Ms.Akko :  “Kyushu has a lot of nature, more than Tokyo, so there are a lot of gods somewhere around. So we cannot go against them. Beppu onsen washes away everything your trouble and bad feeling. Everyone can turn over a new afet take onsen.haha I will organise 3rd retreat trip. I’m so excited to take guests to somewhere that I’ve never introduced.”

Mr.Arakane :  ”Hi, I’m Arakane, nice to see you all.”

Mr.Tsuruta :  “He is a brain of Beppu.” Kenzo “Brain!? Next story will be more logical than Ms.Akko’s story completely.haha”

Mr.Tsuruta :  “Of course, this is Beppy, isn’t it? Logical and spiritual could coexist together.”

Kenzo :  “I’m agree with it.haha Anyway, could you introduce us how did you become city hall officer?”

Mr.Arakane :  “OK. The time I did job hunting was worse to do it than now, because of Lehman shock. The number of company that recruited a lot of students was not so much bigger. I made a time to find out what I want to do before I became a city hall officer. I was charge of municipal tax department first. At that time, I was interested in a system of calculating tax so much, and I decided to learn programming. ”

Mr.Tsuruta :  “He is a special person in city hall. He can think how entertain tourists and how create it by programming. ”

Mr.Arakane :  “I just create what I want to make Beppu better. For example, Of course, there are some difficult things but I want to do it.”

Mr.Tsuruta :  “So, what do you do now?”

Mr.Arakane :  “An Ideathon to make beppe better place to live and runnnig a facebook page of code of beppu. The idea from our team is, citizen can ask any questions to city hall officers by chat and chatbot answers some questions from citizen automatically.”

Mr.Tsuruta :  “Oh, nice! We should make it for tourism too.”

Mr.Arakane :  “I agree with you. We talked about it last time. We create the sightseeing site WE LOVE BEPPU. Please check it out!”

Kenzo :  “We’re looking forwand to see Beppu × Technology! Thank you Mr.Arakane.”
