The purpose of this assignment is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the Afya Elimu Fund since inception to document impact, draw lessons and develop strategies and action plan to inform the next phase of the fund. The study will take place in 24 training institutions, health facilities and various locations in the 47 counties. The research supervisor will oversee the day-to-day data collection, conduct the Key Informant Interviews (KII) and play the leadership role during fieldwork. In addition, the research supervisor will schedule interviews and ensure contacts with the key informants. S/he will directly report directly to the lead consultant and M&E Director, Charles Kimani who is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Expected deliverables: Interview schedule Daily short reports during the data collection Electronic copies in English of all the follow-up data for analysis Principal duties and responsibilities: Contact and establish partnership with Key Informants for interviews Assist in the training of recruited data collectors Establish a timetable and schedule for data collection in the target counties Supervise the data collectors, check the entry of the data collection instruments to verify consistency and accuracy of data collected Organize the safekeeping and proper storage of the data collection instruments, both used and unused Review the activities of the day and share a short report (1/2 page) for daily briefings.
