Since I'm a little bit worried about money this month, I thought I'd make a big post plugging my online shop!

Fic: only blindly could I read you

Summary: Rex's goal was to get into the organization, get the information, and take it down. Of course, no one had ever successfully infiltrated this empire, and most people had died attempting it, so it was easier said than done. But, the fact that a government agency had also sent in an agent, their best agent, was either a very good or very bad thing. Rex just happened to recognize them, and for some reason, Ben had decided that working together is the best option. What could go wrong?

Rex smiled, hiding his surprise. “I wasn’t expecting to see you here.”

The man moved slightly to lean into Rex’s space, brushing his lapel with an elegant hand. “I wasn’t expecting to see you either. But since you are here, I have some people I must introduce you to.” He leaned in, whispering, “Ben.”

Rex smiled and lowered his voice like it was a secret even though the people around them would be able to hear anyway. “Well then, I’ll follow your lead.”

Ben was a fairly unknown quantity. Competent, sure. Charismatic, definitely. But Rex knew hardly anything else about him.

Summary: CC-2224 died on the Death Star. With his death, Cody is freed from his captivity within his own mind. When he regains awareness he’s given a choice. Rest in the Kara with the Mandalorians that have marched on or take the chance to go back in time. He is given one task - Save Mandalore. To do that he will need to save the Jedi and defeat the Sith as well.

I couldn’t stop myself, but I didn’t want to give that order. Whether you survived or not, I never wanted to give the order.”

“What order?” Kenobi’s voice was gentle, but confused.

“The order,” Cody took a deep breath, “the order to kill you, Sir.”

Summary:

Seven years after the war, unease still plagues the galaxy, which means the Jedi are as busy as ever. For Jedi Master and Council Member Obi-Wan Kenobi, having been Temple ridden for more than a year after a mission gone wrong, getting back into the action comes with not only danger to his body but his heart as well. 

Five years after the Clone Rights Act, formally known as the Recognition of Sentient Beings Rights and Obligations under the Galatic Republic, passes, former Marshal Commander Cody of the GAR has been traveling the galaxy in orange-spackled beskar’gam taking the odd job here and there, some for money some for the thrill but some still because he just can’t stop himself from helping people. 

Three years after last seeing each other in a fraught confrontation that left both men hurting, Jedi Master and former Commander are brought together to once more bring peace to and do good for a young planet that is trying to join the Republic, despite the machinations of the ruling council. 

These estranged lovers must put aside the pain of their last encounter to save a people in desperate need of assistance. Oh, and maybe makeup along the way.

The air shifted next to him and the Force sang out in warning with half a second before a strong gloved hand grabbed his right bicep. Obi-Wan reacted on instinct honed through decades of fights, managing to pull himself away but not entirely, as the attacker used his momentum against him, shoving Obi-Wan against the cool garden wall, knocking the air from his lungs, a vibro knife gleaming at his throat before the Force he had time to warn him. 

“Getting slow, old man,” the modulated voice coming from the helmeted figure still somehow managed to be achingly fond and familiar. 

Obi-Wan felt the Force grow warm around him and he took a deep breath, feeling his skin scrape against the blade as he swallowed. No wonder the Force presence felt dulled, the person was wearing beskar, a whole kit from the looks of it, black with painted swirls of orange, a familiar orange that made Obi-Wan’s heart clench. But he couldn’t be here. Could he?

It waxes and wanes: an obimaul fic

Summary: Order 66 is executed, and Maul escapes by the skin of his horns. Once free and running the Crimson Dawn again, he hears rumors that Obi-Wan Kenobi has been spotted near the outer rim.

Five years after the fall of the Republic, Obi-Wan finds himself confronted with an old foe.

Excerpt:

Obi-Wan finally met Maul’s gaze, his blue eyes almost dead-looking. “What can I do for you, Maul? Are you still going to attempt revenge against me? Because if I were a man who enacted such things, I would point out that it’s my turn.”  “You can’t break an already broken man,” Maul growled. “There’s no point anymore.”  Maul didn’t fear many things. He had a healthy fear of his Master, of Mother, but the rest of the Galaxy? It was his to conquer.  He felt fear now. He was unmoored, his chest aching with the loss of his purpose, of what had unknowingly been driving him for years. It was thought of Kenobi alone that pulled him out of his near insanity on Lotho Minor, the thought of enacting his revenge that pulled him out of that state, of what made him survive that hell before Savage pulled him out of it.  It was what drove him to create the Crimson Dawn, to ally with Death Watch, and do everything that placed him directly in the path of his former Master yet again. What led to his brother’s death, and Maul’s ultimate capture. It was what nearly got him killed by those zombie clones.  After, even when he joined back up with Crimson Dawn, he never stopped thinking about Kenobi—Obi-Wan. He’d been looking for him since the beginning, even if he hadn’t let himself admit it. For five years, this feeling had been so firmly lodged into his chest he thought it would never leave.  And now it was gone.  Maul couldn’t breathe.
