Hey guys! I had the pleasure of working with the amazing author @ifonlyweknewwhatiwasdoing (MusicSoul1982 on Ao3) for this years’ @codywanbigbang . You can find the fic on their Ao3 and i recommend reading it. 🥺 Here’s the amazing excerpt that inspired the art.

“I hate fighting with you,” Cody whispered.

“I hate fighting with you too darling,” Obi-Wan admitted, “I love you. Let’s get some sleep. I’m going to request another day before my mission. I don’t want to leave with this between us.”

“Thank you,” Cody murmured, burying his face in Obi-Wan’s neck as Obi-Wan wrapped his arms around him, sighing in relief, “I love you too.”

“Goodnight, dear one,” Obi-Wan said softly, pressing a kiss to Cody’s head.

“Goodnight, cyare.”

Ben to his friends, Obi-wan to his family, wants nothing to do with his family’s business.  He just wants to sell coffee,  live his life watching his little siblings grow up, and fall in love with a handsome man, Kote, as glorious as his name. That is until it all implodes and suddenly Ben is set to become the next family head and the only path to peace is marriage to the heir of the Mando'ade.

Summary:

The Revenants are the Rebellion's most notorious team; the biggest thorn in the Empire's paw. Self proclaimed as being flash and substance, when there's a job the Rebellion needs to be credited for, they're the ones that are sent in. The job on Sinen is right up their alley. Go in, destroy an installation, escape with everyone knowing they were the ones who did it. There's no reason this job should be any different to the hundreds of others they've completed for the Rebellion. When things go wrong, they have to work with the Shadows, an elite team sent in as their backup. With the revelations of just who the Shadows and the Revenants are, things become even more complicated.

Moving from mission to mission, they have to take the time when they can, unpacking the fallout from the five years apart and finding a way to move forward together.

After the rise of the Empire, nothing remains of Commander Cody except for CC-2224, just another rank-and-file stormtrooper among many. He goes where he is told to go, shoots where he is told to shoot, and doesn't question it because good soldiers follow orders.

A droid told to be human meets a human told to be a droid. They meet somewhere in the middle.

It’s hard work, but good work and he enjoys his work. But when the Clone Wars start, Ben is called away from his humanitarian work to patch up soldiers and Jedi on the battlefield. And once he’s there, he meets a rising star in the Clone Army: one Captain Cody.

Summary: The days since Order 66 have been full of turmoil for the Jedi and especially Obi-Wan. Attempting to regain control of the Artificial Universe after it was taken over by SITH has consumed all of their energy. Meanwhile, Cody wakes up on what appears to be the Vigilance; the last thing he remembers is killing General Kenobi. Everything is wrong though, different. Why are there natborns with armor? What’s happened to everyone? How long has it been?
