It all started a number of years ago when our cast and crew flew to Havana over what became the first of our recent hundred year storms. As the East Coast was bracing for a very big hit, we flew from New York via Toronto, LA via Mexico and directory from Paris to shoot the first American feature film in Cuba since 1959. After 19 days of crisscrossing the island without permits or permission, we negotiated customs one last time and boarded our flights back home. We continued to film our lead character, Gil Bigelow on the flight back to New York and then in the cab as he finally headed home. The cameras never stopped rolling. Then I slept for two days straight. Afterwards we regrouped; shot 8 more days in order to properly depict the wonderfully corporate town of Kennelworth, NJ, did months of editing, lots of color correcting, an insane amount of fundraising and a surprisingly delicate sound mix so that we can now finally announce that Art Jones’ newest feature film, ‘Forbidden Cuba’ will be released world wide on March 8th. I discovered a length of an old cement pipe hidden under & pile of detritus & planted it with kennelworth ivy. I love how it tumbles out of the opening & Im crazy about the juxtaposition of those soft, green leaves & their diminutive shape with the hard, circular, grainy-gray cement. Kennelworth Dalmatians

 Originally launched in 2002 UK, 2004 US, and 2013 Japan. UK had 3 versions, one with flat hands.

Differences

: The Japan version has mother wearing a blue dress (2nd picture) and their mold is slightly different and have different spotting placements. The US version has slightly different dress pattern on the sister figure, I’m also seeing a pink dress version compared to the red.

Descriptions:

Montgomery really enjoys doing his own decorating. He fully enjoys boring bits, like sanding down the woodwork and stripping off the old wallpaper.Dorothy is a workaholic and loves to help Montgomery, if she's not doing this she's doing that. In fact she seems to be doing 101 things all at the same time. Rufus is an easy-going, fun-loving little boy. As everything seems so simple to him; his father says that: "He sees everything in black & White". Clara is altogether more serious. She loves doing crosswords and a lot of different competitions in the local paper. Dash & Dot as you will agree have very strange names. Week Eight- Industrial Design

Outdated Vending Machine: Industrial design with a variation of materials, moving and functional parts, and electrical engineering. 

Vintage Industrial Design Objects- Engineering Building UWM

Elevator: Elevators embody the concept of industrial design because they balance visual design with high functionality. Elevators are designed to appropriate with the building it is in. For example, a fancy office building has more “beautiful” elevators, typically incorporating mirrors. Some elevators are designed to transport larger objects, like in the Kennelworth building for large sculptures. Some elevators may be ugly, like this one, but they serve a purpose. 

Kitchen Cart- More industrial design than furniture design

Dirt Devil (my favorite thing): while engineers may have created the ability for this to clean my carpet, the industrial designer placed the type, chose the colors, fonts and overall aesthetic and shape of the vacuum. 

KIA Soul: I learned in the paper I wrote, about my Kia Soul, that it won many awards for its design and was designed by a renowned automotive industrial designer, Peter Schreyer. I focused on the individualistic look of the soul, standing out amongst the sedans.
