This week I met a person who kept saying that "everything happens for a reason".
I can't say I believe it any more. Mentioned the well-worn argument: if that's the case, all the bad stuff that happens, all the tragedies and suffering, violence, illnesses and abuse, they happen "for a reason" as well.
Which. If we assume that's true. Makes the system so rigged that I don't really want to believe in it.
The missing piece might be her belief that she's not alone in all this, though. That she needed help, and at that point, she received it, sent from The Lord, whomever they might be.
So yeah. Maybe not feeling alone in all this is the key.

ALSO
Cooper and Barb!!!!!!
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I love a tragic doomed romance, we know from the beginning that she divorced him because the dad at the party mentioned alimony for why he’s performing at kid’s birthday parties
and then we ACTUALLY meet her their interactions are so sweet but also there’s a sense of foreboding because she of the look she makes when presenting the idea of him being the face of vault-tec and
gaaaaaaaaaah
I believe that she wanted to do what was best for her family, so much so that she was willing to end the world if it meant getting into a good vault
I don’t think Barb is an evil person. I think she was a scared person. It seemed like the end of the world was right at their doorstep, she already experienced first hand the worry of someone she loves going off to fight in the sino-american war.
then she got into a company that was offering a solution and it seemed like a wonderful thing she could invest in. So she rose through the ranks to secure a future for her family in a time when the future was so ambiguous and terrifying.
by the time Vault-Tec was in full swing she was in a high position, she drank the cool aid and her main focus was on protecting her family, no matter what.
I think in a desperate effort to protect her family from annihilation, she became the very driving force that destroyed the world.
there’s so much beauty in that, burning the world for the people you love.
anyway that’s me ranting about Barb because we love a gaslight girlboss <3

Praying that if anyone gets punched in the face/a black eye/cut and bruises, that they keep them for a number of episodes.
Please? Pretty please.
Let my faves be beat up. Let them be covered in blood.
We deserve to see that shit.

Okay. As the supreme authority on all things Kevin Day I need you to give the veredict on something: is Kevin into CNC
(I feel like the AFTG fandom doesn't do a lot with consent play, which I get WHY, but it is as a matter of fact a pretty common kink for survivors)
supreme authority huh. ok lets see 🤔!
short answer: yes & i think kevin is probably somewhere in the spectrum between free use (pretending to be impassive but not unwilling) and bordering predator play (active struggle for the sake of being manhandled and forced to submit)
long answer: i was just talking about this with miss nanatsuyu but kevin’s extensive consent issues make the idea of enthusiastic consent feel embarrassing at best and confusing at worse so cnc in any capacity would be right up his alley in my opinion!!! he likes not having to say it outright and as a man canonically declared “as bratty as they come” i believe kevin would find it very hot (& cathartic! in a way) to be rightfully overpowered and told to take it :)
i had half an idea about that the other day (and excuse the poor writing i just put these things down in a hurry for later probing) for kevjean in a play wrestling sense and i think it pretty much sums up how i think kevin would like this dynamic 🏃🏽 it’s a lot about having no way out and, even knowing that he cannot take whatevers in menu for him, being told that he will anyway

just finished the new fantasy high episode and havent seen anyone talk abt this so i wanted to say i am 100. one HUNDRED PERCENT sure. that fuckin fourdogs was at that party invisibly (the One And Only buttfucker to NOT make an obvious appearance?? rules-follower or no, i dont believe that for a SECOND) and that she stole the piece of the cloud runner that went missing, and that the moment of her swipe was the "something" riz missed on his check -- i also really *hope* it wasn't oisin that made those damn ice mephits (or "muffets" as my beloved drunk adaine christened them lmao) act up like that, but immmmm pretty sure thats exactly what was goin on since it wouldve given his party member advantage/an easier access point :/
