Unveiling the Hidden Gems: Exploring Properties with a Keen Eye
As a seasoned real estate agent, I know the importance of scrutinizing every nook and cranny when viewing a property. Beyond the obvious features, pay attention to the less conspicuous details: check for signs of water damage, assess the neighborhood noise levels, and inspect the condition of the HVAC system. Don't overlook the potential of a space; visualize how it can be transformed to suit your client's needs. Remember, the devil is in the details, and sometimes, it's the smallest imperfections that can make or break a deal.

When the Wildlights were at Jiggo we encountered our rivals taking part in the many different contests. One of them was with Maggie Keeneyes, the Ogre. She was lovely and super sweet. She was taking part in an arm wrestling contest. What kind of barbarian would Keq be to turn down the opportunity to take on an Ogre in a contest like that. And so, The Goblin and The Ogre locked themselves in and began their contest. It was a spectacle to watch a Goblin (4ft 1) almost half the size of the Ogre (9ft 9) challenge each other in an arm wrestle. The contest was close but Keq had come out on top!.
There were many other such contests and Keq won them all! (The Keq with medals doodle is by one of the players in our game, @pheenick. I adore their doodles in our game)

High Priestess for Aristide, Wheel of Fortune for Athren, and the World for Maggie 💖
The High Priestess: When has trusting their instincts paid off for your character?
This is an interesting question for Ari, because they're simultaneously the kind of person who operates strongly off of instincts and hunches, but lately in my RP with Em, they have been spending as much of their leisure time unsober as they can get away with, in order to numb the general pain of their existence + stop themself from thinking about the demon they definitely made a deal with by accident. So their instincts' sharpness is at an all-time low right now lol.
The Wheel of Fortune: What are your character’s proudest successes?
Athren is pretty fucked pleased with himself and his party for solving the mysteries at the heart of the Dragon Heist module: where is the embezzled treasure hoard of Dagult Neverember, and can the PCs get their hands on it? He knows! And they did. In the process, he got closer to several powerful and fascinating factions in Waterdeep, and most important of all: he gave his parents a bunch of money so they could retire.
The World: When has one of your character’s dreams come true?
Aww, what a sweet question. I will twist this slightly and share one of Maggie's dreams, that I may have mentioned OOC before but I don't think she's told any of your characters. She wants to get a book of her poetry published by a major Xhorhasian publisher. That goal is perhaps already a stretch, but her most deeply-held ambition would be to have not just Undercommon poetry published, but include some of her Jogishk (ogre language) poetry as well. She fears it might have a target audience of one (herself) though.

For Thax, who's the worst person that you've captured in your mirrors and what'd they do to earn that title? Are there any that you might consider granting clemency to?
Thax looks up from the tome he was reading, his gaze measuredly neutral. The question is unexpected. With a flourish of his paw he smacks the tome shut, and it floats off back to its resting place in his bookcase.
"Most of the ones I imprison are the worst of those prejudiced against magic, all of them thinking they can put themselves above those with magic. That they can get away with anything they do to us."
You hear a low growl as he holds out his paw, golden light appearing from nothing and threading together until it snaps into a pink hue with the crackle of broken glass.
What he holds in his paw now is a simple mirror, shaped into a small playing card. Inside, you can see the reflection of a Charr, his paws pressed against the glass of his prison.
"This, is Centurion Tullus Keeneye. Oversaw weapons testing in Ascalon. Well, one of many sites where they tested weapons. You know how Iron Legion is."
He turned the mirror to himself, watchign its occupant with disdain. "He.. had quite the opinion of us shamans, mages. Believed we- they, had to work to earn any sliver of trust."
"He argued, that those who had magic to defend themselves could 'help' test anti magic weaponry. He'd already gotten many injured or killed before I got there."
He magics the mirror away, then sighs considering the rest of the question. "Clemency? well."
"I... might let many of them go. They are still capable of learning, and I am running out of room to hold on to so much anger."
His eyes flare with gold and pink power. "But that doesn't mean I will forgive easily"
#Thax Blurrblade#Charr#Tullus Keeneye#I need to remember that I named him now#also have a nice low res image of the bastard#thanks for the ask! this one was really fun#took me a bit to think about

I say this a lot but we need more northeastern and Mid-Atlantic US accents in fantasy. We need a fantasy character who says "water" the way Murph says "water"

zesek character sheet <3 additional fun facts:
zesek's first language is draconic, and while he can understand common, he finds it irritating to speak. he can't read it at all.
zesek grew up in the marshes near the delimbiyr river. he's an exceptionally strong swimmer, and has a special fondness for a lot of the swampland fauna he was raised around, especially frogs and spiders.
he was orphaned around the age of 4 (12, in human years), and spent 5 years of his life essentially taking care of himself. he grew very used to a raw food diet, and to this day is a notably awful cook
dragonborn children give each other nicknames when they're young, which is where the name "keen eye" comes from. he introduces himself as such to most humans he meets, as a subtle insult to them: the implication among dragonborn being that he considers them to be at the intellectual level of children.
his adoptive clan work in the service of a black dragon, who he's very loyal to. his clan values magic as the highest rank of power, and as a result he views even non-dragonborn magic users as deserving a fair amount of respect.
he likes children, but his natural stoicism, combined with a very inexpressive face, mean most don't like him.
#zesek#essentially if he introduces himself as zesek he's fine with you. if he introduces himself as amneremses zesekseresk he Respects you#and if he introduces himself as keeneye he thinks you're probably not worth his time#he introduces himself to the companions as keeneye </3#anyways he is my special little boy and he is going to fail every charisma check outside of intimidation rolls <3#also don't let all this information fool you. he is so so so funny and silly. if you can convince him to talk. lakdfjalkdfja#also i'm inclined to have him romance astarion because. well. personal bias. but i'll just have to see who he ends up getting along with#and also see if i can play a character who's not a gay man (challenge: legendary)#bg3

Remic Keeneye, aka the Krait Killer
--
Here's a character I've had for a while but hadn't made her ingame until fairly recently once I've got an outfit idea that worked for me.
This is my Tengu adjacent who was once a guard/escort of a merchant caravan that was like family to her. She lost her caravan mates to Krait in Caledon and so she kills them on sight. And she was very efficient in killing the snakes (which is fun cus she's based off my fav bird, the secretary bird).
She was befriended by Aurenthir and Ceara during the podtwins' sapling days. She would eventually join the Pact on the campaign to fight Zhaitan, then head out to fight Mordremoth. She'd be reunited with Aurenthir and continue her journey with him and Malyck later on.
#gw2#guild wars 2#Ro's content#Remic Keeneye#c:remic#i will need to draw a ref sheet for her#man i wish Tengu were a playable race

Last month at the wiki — December 2023
Every month, we highlight significant work done in the previous month by our editing community at Encyclopedia Exandria. As we move into 2024, we take a second-to-last look at 2023—and it's a long one, folks. We'll take a look at 2023 as a whole year on Monday!
As always, to start, here's a selection of ten articles created in December. You can find more of our newest articles at the 50 newest pages report.
Circle of Tide & Bone, circle of Candela Obscura investigators
Potion of climbing, grants a climbing speed
Dancing sword, magical weapon that attacks on its own
The Glorious Ones, adventuring party in Athova-Rae
Calloway hideaway, hideout in Bassuras
Janet Varney, voice actor of Vilya in The Legend of Vox Machina
Ruidium armor, armor enchanced with ruidium
Wild's guide, tobacco-like plant
Scuttling serpentmaw, crab-like aberrations
Gibbering mouther, aberrations formed of the mouths and eyes of victims
December saw a lot of article creation in themed groups! The rival adventuring party in Call of the Netherdeep—Ayo Jabe, Dermot Wurder, Galsariad Ardyth, Irvan Wastewalker, and Maggie Keeneyes—all now have articles. We're also starting some forays into subpages dedicated to stat changes over time. We've been mulling that project over for some time, and with the sunsetting of @critrolestats, we've been thinking about it again. Alongside the new pages for the rivals, we've also got some tier subpages: Ayo's tiers for an example.
In other theme article creations, our Midst coverage has expanded! Following the three protagonists earlier in the year and Tzila in November, the major secondary characters now have articles: Saskia Del Norma, Jonas Spahr, Sherman Guthrie, and Imelda Goldfinch. There's also a dedicated article to all things geography and cosmology, Midst locations.
There was also a one-shot drive over the channel's winter break to write plot summaries for one-shots that are lacking them. Through this, we've got some new editors contributing plot summaries to "Cinderbrush: A Monsterhearts Story", "Crash Pandas: Too Trashed, Too Curious", and "DOOM Eternal One-Shot". You can check out details about the push at our post here on Tumblr. If you ever want to contribute a plot summary yourself, or any other content updates or edits of any other type, we encourage you! You can do so at any time.
If you've want to know what the Circle of Needle & Thread carries around, we've got updates completing those sections on each character's article. Check out Jean Basar for an example.
In backend stuff, all character articles finally have verified "Appearances and mentions" sections! Well over a year ago, character articles had these sections collated using a script from a list that used to live in the infoboxes and from episode "Featured character" sections. These lists were being slowly checked manually to ensure that they they were properly formatted, organized, and correct. They've finally all been verified!
Whew! A long-winded update, but it is the end of the year after all. Join us on Monday for our final look at 2023 where we look again not just at December but the year as whole.
#Might even seen some of these items in the year round-up!#We're just really excited about some of these okay?#Critical Role#Critical Role wiki#last month at the wiki

Eyes Wide Open: Navigating Property Viewings Like a Pro
Approach property viewings with a keen eye for detail. Evaluate the layout and functionality of each room – does it suit your lifestyle and needs? Pay attention to the condition of windows and doors; proper seals can improve energy efficiency and security. Assess the curb appeal – a well-maintained exterior sets the tone for the rest of the property. Take note of the surrounding area's development plans and potential impact on property value. Don't overlook the accessibility of essential amenities such as grocery stores, hospitals, and public transportation. Remember, viewing a property is more than just seeing – it's about envisioning your future within its walls.

5, 16, 21, 35, and 37 for Maggie my beloved
Heheh I knew this one was coming. Maggie Keeneyes is an NPC from Call of the Netherdeep, which I DM. She's an ogre and I treat her as a battlemaster fighter. Our version of her has a unique backstory that ties into some homebrew world elements.
5. What is your PC’s idle animation?
Maggie is pretty placid and still when she's idle. It's not that she spaces out, she's always gently focused on what's going on around her, she just doesn't fidget. If anything, she just shifts her weight from foot to foot.
16. What scents do you associate with your PC?
Sheepskin and other musty, comforting smells of well-cared for animal hides. Metal polish for her armour and weapons. I think in response to other people's stereotypes about ogres, she takes hygiene very seriously and often smells like soap.
21. What tarot would your PC be?
The Hanged Man
35. If your PC was a dating option in a farming simulator (a la harvest moon or stardew valley), what kind of items would they like?
CUTE. For the record, I would not be mad if any of the PCs in this game wanted to romance Maggie. Maggie likes chess and other strategy board games, books of poetry (believe it or not, her poetry interest is in the module, not a Liv homebrew), and very strong alcohol (in moderation.)
37. What flower represents your PC?
Black-eyed Susan. Not especially showy, but bright, resilient, and hardy in many types of soil and in many climates.
