chill kill: 8/10. i like it. the chorus is good. just can't get over the pop smoke type beat in the back.

knock knock (who's there?): 9/10. "knock knock who's there?" it's me. served as usual.

underwater: 10/10. hips grinding, ass is shaking currently as I'm typing this. this is most def for the r&b girlies. the landlord was at the door most def. bye bye's crown was tilted.

will i ever see you again: 5/10. first off, the beginning sounds like a tech commercial. This instrumental sounds like a damn Samsung ringtone. Giving very much 2016 then and now video. Might have to grown into it. Wendy eating up the notes per usual.

nightmare: 10/10. oh this beat eating. shoulder moving and shit. oh bitch. im floating. I'm levitating and airbending in this bitch. this shit is heavenly. this song name do not fit the vibe. the rap ate. the high note ate. this chorus... bitch im GONE

iced coffee: 9/10. oh so i see red velvet chose levitation for this concept because im just fucking floating. i feel like a fucking princess listening to this shit. im a fucking ballroom rn in a big ass poofy ass dress fucking spinning. this is a royal ass song. "got me like iced coffee" no bitch, got me like belle.

one kiss: 10/10. they said we shaking ass this album cause im throwing it in a circle rn. OH THIS RAP??? THIS BEAT THE CLAPPING. I AM SHAKING MY FUCKINF ASS. CURRENTLY BUCKING. and y'all know how rv loves them soft ass bridges. wendy need a big ass robitussin bc she just hitting notes this whole album.

bulldozer: 8/10. they asking what can you break but they need to be asking what they can they serve bc this album... i actually love this chorus. the raps are amazing as usual. idk why but this song seemed too short (joyuri curse)

wings: 10/10. the beginning is so beautiful omg. i can def see y'all youtube vloggers using this. this is so sweet sounding. like this makes me feel like i'm walking down the street with my partner or something. this song makes me appreciate life. once again, Wendy eating up these notes. SHE SAID "SPREAD YOUR WINGSS" TAKE US TO CHRUCH MISS WENDYYY.

scenery: 10/10. im yearning over someone i never met. im thinking about the good times with this person. how did they do me so well. i feel like im in a loving relationship with this song. i can see this playing during a rainy love confession scene in a kdrama. this song is so soft and i love it. it smells like fabric softener, coffee, and a rainy day.

in conclusion: a bunch of booty shaking songs in mix with some songs that got you floating in this bitch. the songs are versatile. red velvet b-sides never fail to eat. someone give wendy some lemon water and robitussin bc she was hitting notes this whole album. i'll give it a 9/10.

more generally i listen to a loooot of kpop groups, i love gidle, stayc (before teddy bear..), rv, nwjns and twice's music in particular <3 and i listen to a lot of solo idols and krnb (heize my wife) as well - apart from kpop i listen to tswift, lana, ariana and all the pop girlies really also 1D and 5sos cz of a phase i had i just really like pop music basically

I'm really curious about your journey into kpop! I'm army and I started from there, though I wouldn't say I stan any other group. I try to give a fair shake when songs pop up but I haven't been nearly as attached to these groups and their members as I have to bts, but still I really like a lot of the music. I think you said you listen to mostly kpop but have you always done that?

i started with kdramas! That's when I first heard the term "idol" and wondered what the fuck an idol was supposed to be - why not just call them singers lmao?. I remember seeing YT comments about how Armys were the only ones watching whatever, and I wondered what Army was supposed to be in that context. I was watching Chief Kim (awesome, hilarious drama!) at the time, and there was a character who hated BTS because she was secretly Army and loved them too much haha. She made a ton of references to BTS songs, and I think that's how she and her boyfriend got together in the drama? All of that flew past my head, but I remember the translators explaining the song references. Also, that drama writer mentions BTS/Army in, like, all their dramas (eg. The Fiery Priest).

That was kind of my introduction to the concept of kpop, I guess? Before that, I knew kpop=BTS and Blackpink from tumblr, but didn't know what kpop was. I also knew BTS from YT (I saw a video title that was "Suga secretly knows English" lmao, and I knew Jungkook, Jimin and Jikook by name) and Buzzfeed (there was an article about the bottle cap challenge and how Jungkook nailed it) and Blackpink from Coachella (because of celebrities taking pics with them). I knew Girl's Generation and Seventeen my name only. When a friend told me she was listening to kpop I checked BTS out (I watched the first Idol performance on Jimmy Fallon, among others) but didn't like them. However, a month later I couldn't get Idol out of my head (RM's "You can call me artist, you can call me idol" was playing in a loop inside my mind lmao), That's when I fell down the BTS rabbit hole (actually, it was because I started watching Jikook videos... I thought they were a confirmed couple...) I think at this point I was already watching dramas? This isn't a linear narrative lmao. The first kpop song I loved was Exo K's Mama though! And also Overdose, to a lesser extent. Mama is such a masterpiece and it's totally my style. I found it on an "old- school" kpop Spotify playlist. After getting into BTS, I listened to some Blackpink and many popular groups and songs. I couldn't stand most ggs though. I could only listen to RV, (G)I-dle, and Mamamoo, because they didn't have a cutesy sound. Twice made me cringe. It took me like a year to get into them. I think it started with The Feels and the pandemic. I had to get used to ggs. Also, I still cringe at a lot of Twice's old bsides. I really started listening to more groups during and after the pandemic. However, like you, I'm still only Army. I can't actually feel a huge attachment to another group and don't have the desire to keep up with them and watch everything of theirs. Most groups aren't funny or charismatic enough to me, and there isn't a group whose discography I love so much. Other groups often lipsync and don't write their own songs too, so I can't fall for them as artists...
