For the WIP ask game, please tell me about Fatal Frame!!!

Aaah, thank you for asking! I know the file name is a bit incoherent, so I'm glad it still sounded interesting! ▼・ꈊ・▼

This is an AU I've been (very) slowly working on since I got into the Spirit Hunter series, and it follows the various characters as they navigate the world of the Fatal Frame series! I changed the stories slightly to fit the characters better but I wanted to stay true to the original games as much as I could...

Since Fatal Frame: The Tormented started this AU and is the one I've worked on the most, I'll talk about that one! It might be a bit all over the place since I'm still trying to figure everything out lol.

It mainly follows Kazuo Yashiki, an amnesiac and "spirit doctor" who takes the place of Rei Kurosawa, as he suddenly finds himself in the Manor of Sleep, being led by a mysterious Black Rabbit and the vestiges of a strangely familiar woman... The further into the manor he goes, the more his memories unfold before him, slowly revealing a truth he isn't sure he wants to discover. But despite the danger, he makes his way deeper inside to discover the source of the inexplicable grief that plagues him.

Other characters include Moe Watanabe, who takes the place of Miku Hinasaki and acts as Yashiki's assistant, Natsumi Kijima, who takes the place of Kei Amakura and requests the help of Yashiki to save her nephew, and Akira Kijima, who takes the place of Mio Amakura and is a sufferer of the Manor of Sleep.

For the story, I've always loved the thought of characters becoming amnesiacs but still holding the old emotions they felt towards certain people, which is what I did with Yashiki! He is haunted by a grief he doesn't understand because he lost his memories, which eventually leads him to the Manor of Sleep.

1: I’ll use this one for spite, as my others couldn’t really be a leader as sylvari i guess?:

As Ash Imperator, Spite would definitely be pushing for The Charr to make more diplomatic ties to the other races, and for less focus on war. However, as the descendant of Kalla Scorchrazor (and other Charr with hatred of the flame legion) + the cub of a flame legion convert, she would fight tooth and nail for the flame legion not to return to the other legions. She wouldn’t play dirty to stop them, but she would make every resistance she could. 

2: I’ll use this for Athinri: She would suck at any of the heavy armor classes, she just would break wearing anything heavier than leather armor. Also, she is just wayy too clumsy for it, which is the reason she didn’t go thief.

13:  Both Spite AND Athinri (BC my other two try to stay under the radar as much as possible:

Spite would totally have an article written about her and Trahearne’s “Secret Relationship” that in reality they didn’t try to hide at all. 

Athinri’s on the would be somewhat similar, it would be about her trying to “Get close to the son of the legend Eir Stegalkin to finish what Mordremoth started” sometime after HoT but before LWS3. They spent a lot of time together to kinda process what had happened, and they leaned on each other until Braham started to blame and get aggressive towards Spite.

"For now, at least." a shrug fell from her shoulders. she had no wish to embrace death now. it would seem like such a waste. Zephyr was sure there were better ways to die then to his hand. besides, she had been alive long enough to know when to avoid reckless situations. she liked to choose her battles after all. this did not seem like the one to risk her life for.

hands went down and the tingle of magic went with it. it was an attempt to show that she was serious. some action behind her words to show she wasn't all talk. her back straightened now that she didn't have to think about potentially dodging a blade or a ball of magic. "I only scouted this place out in attempt to get the Dwemer trinket that's supposedly housed here. I see no reason to spill unnecessary blood in the process." bandits and drauger were the only things she expected to stand in her way. they were usually the only things that stood in her way. and she typically only attacked when the other in question drew their weapon first. she was quite happy to sneak past or go through without having to kill if possible.

perhaps finding all there was to know about the Dwemer had truely rotted her brain over the years. or maybe it was the lack of constant, healthy companionship that had whittled down her social capabilities, but she was determined to get her hands on what lay in this place. it had been something she'd had her golden eyes on for a while now.

"You can aid me, if you like. I can't say if there's anything else along the way that would pique your interest, but you might be able to make some coin along the way."

Yippieee, 1st ask!! ヾ(≧ ▽ ≦)ゝI am the worst person you could have asked for a tier list of whom is good husband material and not so good (shaking TFP Starscream with her tiny hands). /j

WARNING: This all based on myyy own opinion, logic and what I know from the Prime series - so, all fun! Never take seriously what I say! Also, too much text.

Transformers Prime - Most to Least husband material

MOST

Bumblebee - Baby boy, would be such a good husband. Soft and protective, good with kids, comprensive - the list can keep going! Perfection in person. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Optimus Prime - He is good husband material, but I fear his selflessness and will to give his life for the sake of others, specially you, can be a double edged sword... but he is nonetheless a good candidate to be husband.

Soundwave - A genius, intelligent, has sense of humor - can be quite stalkerish if you think about it, but it's loyal and definitely protective. If you don't mind the silence and the pattern of his speech, he is good husband material! Maybe the only thing that rests him points would be that he would give you a death scare if you forget he is there for a second.

Bulkhead & Breakdown - Same tier, both give me the vibes of 'I am a big guy, strong and ready to protect you' and 'the guy that will make you laugh, listen to you and can be quite naive (at some degree)'. They would be perfect to give you comfort and support, but have their flaws - impulsiveness, might not give the right answers or words in the moment. Nonetheless, good husband material, just be patience and easy with them! (Of course give them a slap at the back of their helms when needed).

Knock Out & Smokescreen - Same tier and like BH/BD; they can be good husband material, but I fear both can come off sometimes annoying because of their personalities. KO could be annoying because of his quite egocentric personality and Smokes is a yapper and quite impulsive. Buuut they are not the worst, good husband material with its flaws.

Arcee (Yes, I am adding her here (bisexual noises) & Cliffjumper - A duo as always, they can be good wife/husband material, buuut with how easy things can get in their nerves (speaking more on Cee's side since... well, we only had Cliff for 1 episode-), you'll need both patience and put your limits/stance if you want the relationship to work. And reassurance on Arcee's side. She has lost many partners already, you will need to show her kindness and softness, comfort and support. And she will pay you back the same and protect you dearly.

Ratchet - The middle point; I love Ratchet dearly, but I fear with the war and how much he has lost, adding to the fact he has decided to close himself off on some emotional levels in order to not 'keep suffering and focus on his tasks' he can be a 'good husband material but with it's difficulties'. Will need patience, reassurance and perseverance on this,

Starscream - Like Ratchet, but worse. Starscream can be a double-faced mech that is both a victim of abuse and his own problems (not able to trust others, cowardly, hurting others before he gets hurt, doing anything to get his own way) and also the culprit of making other victims. He is a mix of too many things, but we know he is loyal, and I'm sure that with time, too much patience and reassurance, he could become husband material. It's a "I can fix him" and it could work! ... or not.

Wheeljack - Yeah... I like him, but I'll have my doubts. I fear he might not be that a good material husband with how much he is travelling and moving from place to place. And I also fear there is a 50% he won't be that faithful or take your feelings in the matter as something important to evaluate. I love you Jacky, but the 'husband material' might not be quite here.

Megatron - Yeah... could work. Protective, secure of himself... quite aggressive, could snap or hurt you. If you add the dark energon, could hurt you badly or... offline you. Worst part, I think it could happen intentionally or, if it happnes by accident, will not mourn you. The 'I need someone strong as me, not weak' is playing in my head. (；′⌒`)

Dreadwing - Will be loyal, but with how he is prone to be aggressive and get physical, idolizing Megatron - I fear if the latter orders him to do something with you... might do it. (°ロ°)

Shockwave - Nuh-huh, always puts rational thoughts before feelings, and he might not be thaaat far from hurting you if he wants something for his own gain or use you as an experiment (actively or passive, might not see you 100% as an equal).

Airachnid - Haha. No. I support women rights and wrongs but cheez - doesn't totally see you as an equal and I fear she is ready to offline you if you are no longer something 'usable' for her.

LEAST

I think that's all of them! Just took the main-important ones in my point of view. As you can see, I like to write, I am yapper after all. (。・ω・。) Vhaos out!

Those leaked images look like ass, y'alls.

They're matching everything exactly to what it looked like in the movie. The result is everything looks very, very fake. The final product should have more refined visuals (we ain't done editing). But I don't see how we're going to take those shots and de-ass-ify them.

The movie's whimsical designs don't translate to a brick-by-brick recreation. You aren't selling me that people made an arena like that. You'd be better on live sets that lie closer to reality than forcing a pastiche of the movie's over-the-top whimsy.

Part of HTTYD's charm (to the delight of the animators!) was getting things scruffy, dirty, lived-in, imperfect. I was talking with @hcsp1 today and I agree with what he said: "It looks like a cool cosplay image, not a big budget studio film." The arena pic feel like a hyper-edited, visually-scrubbed Photoshop rather than a lived-in world.

If you're going to match visuals exactly, it highlights how redundant and pointless it'd be to make that live action.

I could be wrong regarding the cove because they're blurry images, but: the color, lighting, and differences in graininess / resolution / definition / whatever-word-goes-here between the foreground and background make it feel like a cheap greenscreen. Also: the foreground is ass, and the background is ass.

Toothless is an example of "try so hard to be 'realistic' that we render it ugly." Guess what word I'm going to use to describe how I feel about the model? Looks like ass.

A person can't make an accurate analysis on something with so little data. But. Something something something ass ass ass. My takeaway is this looks like ass.

I still want folks to know I'm not following live action news and don't anticipate answering questions on it; I'd prefer to see and know as little of it as possible. But I am voluntarily providing my opinion here. ;) And my opinion is... [dramatic drumroll with the most glorious of winks] (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ ......ASS! ∘* ✧･ﾟ
