What would you change with the game?

Imma copypasta what I wrote on the DMO reddit:

I love the game and I have been a player since the 1st Anniversary event (such a long time ago omg). But there are a lot of things that need to be cleaned up with the game. The poor translation of the KDMO quests makes the game look silly. The errors in the titles (Starmon fo Love) like really? For the longest time, they had Sarah Damon's NPC title as "Marcus Damon's father" rather than mother. Thankfully they fixed it, but a lot of the translations need to be fixed. Also part of the names are the dub versions and part are the Japanese versions. It's a mess and someone needs to go through and clean that shit up.

The botting problem has really messed the game up too. It doesn't help that within hours of the report macros being added into the game, Blue Eye already had a bot to give a false non-botting report if someone tried to use them on you. They even have a bot to use the green clovers from the Waterfront map.

The community as a whole is kinda cancerous too. I have met a lot of cool people on DMO, but there are a lot of people who swear or are really rude. (The constant comments calling Game King Gay King if they don't like the event). They have opened and closed the forum a number of times because of said cancerous community. (Or like that one youtube dude who got mad and stopped making videos because 75% of his guild got banned for either botting or using the chargeback glitch). You deal with a lot of petty ass children on the game.

A lot of the older monsters need to be rebalanced to meet the newer monsters. Example: my level 83 Rosemon Burst Mode even cloned at 12/12 is still weaker than an uncloned level 65 Machinedramon (jogress line). They worked on cloning some of them a few years ago and it helped, but they need to work on them more, and I wish it would happen before the new seal system is put into the game and monsters become more OP.

The jogress system needs to be redone. The quests are poorly done and the newer quests feel like they were just thrown together at the last minute. (Kill 30 (x) monsters, Turn in quest, Go to DATS, Get another quest, Talk to (x) NPC, Go to (x) map, Kill this monster, Go back to Calumon, yay all done!) The Omegamon one and even the Alphamon ones were really great quests to get the jogress. I wish they could have done the same with the other ones.

The one thing I miss about Joymax was they were active with talking to people on the Facebook page and they kept things like the ranking active. With the new company, it is so hard to talk to anyone outside of Steam. When a tumblr DMO help page gets back to you quicker and helps you more than a person with the actual company, there is something wrong and it should be addressed. But they would rather pimp out their other shitty ass games on the DMO Facebook instead of mentioning some of the issues that need to be looked at in the game.

The lack of a story hurts the game. The lack of places to grind after about 93+ is a big issue too. The whole game was supposed to be based (at least loosely) on Data Squad/Savers. There is very little mention of anything in the story other than the real world areas (Yokohama maps, Oil maps, DATS Center) and BanchoLeomon doing the starter Burst Mode quests. I get that they are doing Adventure themed stuff now, but no mention of Marcus' dad in the entire game? Some of the quests need to be redone too. There are countless Maze quests that take a good 3-4 hours easy to finish. One in particular turned me sour with the whole maze that I never finished it.

The inflation in the game (on the older servers at least) is a mess too. Selling a Burst Mode item that should normally go for like 10-15T for 55T is a little crazy. It's what I get for playing on Lilithmon though. We are notorious for overpricing on the server. I try to keep stuff priced fairly when I do sell stuff though. It's a mess too.

I would have liked to have seen the Xros Wars stuff in the gDMO too, but I wouldn't expect it because the show didn't do well here in the US either.

The Holy Beast areas too are a mess. I don't bother with them anymore and won't until they get some of the issues in the areas fixed.

Like I am happy PVP is getting added because so many people wanted it (not me but ehhhh), but I feel like it will be a mess. They need to work on an option to turn the PVP off if you don't want to battle because I feel like this could be a way for higher level tamers to abuse "noobs".

Even though I am a paying player, I wish there were more f2p friendly events. I don't know what it would consist of, but the f2p players sometimes feel like Gameking is catering only to the p2p players, and I can see their legit issue with it. Thankfully they are working on it with the gifts when you hit a certain level, but there should be something else too.

Thankfully they are working on the Monster Card abuse too with the Summon Square. They need to do it with the Spirit Cards too now. The amount of card spamming in places like the Devimon dungeon is still an issue and just because they took MCs away doesn't mean they still won't spam with Spirit cards. (It ties back in with the petty children thing lmfao).

Bah I could go on forever with stuff that needs to be fixed. I still love the game, but I wish they would focus on making the current game better before they go and add new shit like the Odaiba maps and the PVP system, and the rest of the dungeons, etc.

Someone on one of the DMO Discord pages said that the KDMO server almost got a cease and desist from Bandai-Namco because of the game and the Xros Digimon that are in the KDMO version. There was plans for Omegamon Zwart to be added to the game (obvs when we have both monsters needed for it), and Bandai-Namco shut that shit down so fast. I was talking to someone on reddit about it too and they said that someone told them that BN has to approve all events and monsters added to the game as well. It makes sense considering that there hasn’t been a new monster since the Mille jogress and the lines needed for it, and that was months ago. 

It’s all rumor right now, but a lot of it makes sense now. BN is trying to kill the game all together, which sucks because I have put a ton of money into it, but ehhhh. The game is on its last legs, which is sad because I love the game so much. D:

What was DMO like when it first released? By that, I mean what areas were/weren't there, what was the level cap, etc.

Oh man, so much has changed since I started. DATS Center was totally different. I have pics on my laptop I will have to push to my desktop. This is the event that was going on when I started. There was like half of the monsters that there is now. I think when I started, the newest monster was Myotismon (everyone was freaking out about how gdmo got him before kdmo). The File Island maps weren’t in the game yet. The highest level areas were the actual maze and the Infinite Ice Wall. The BM quest was kinda different too as to where the monsters were. The final monster was in that mess of Diablomon on the Infinite Ice Wall map. There wasn’t any Diablomon when I first started, but once Omegamon was released, they never bothered to move the monster until GameKing took over. None of the raids were in the game. It didn’t cost money to clone your monsters. There were no Jogress monsters in the game. There were very few Burst Modes and Riding Modes in the game. There was the whole drop cap where if you were more than 10 levels stronger than the monster you were fighting, nothing would drop. They had the 12 Heavenly Generals quest in the game. Idk if it is back or not, but for a while, it had been taken out of the game. People on the servers were so nice and helpful too. Everyone kept things decently priced. The Game Masters would be really active with the Facebook page and the actual game. The report function worked for tamers to help get rid of botters and those spam accounts that are at DATS Center. At the time when I started, the max level was level 90 for monsters and I think 99 for tamers. Now it is 99 for both. There have been rumors it is going to go up again at the end of the year too to like 150 but idk how legit the rumors are. There was the Silk/PSilk shit in the game. If you bought stuff in the game with Silk, it was character bound, but if you used PSilk, it could be traded. Like a lot has changed in the game.
