I'm not sure which subnautica creature bloody is based on, but since you mentioned Ruin keeps the baby’s warm & is a land Creature (& the au takes place in sector zero [the main story location of below zero]) i'm gonna take a shot in the dark & guess ruin is based on a Stalker.
as for KC.. I have no clue which creature he could be based on
-someone who loves subnautica.
Ok so they are all hybrids so there is a lot of things in them including humans and earth creatures but there is main parts of DNA in them now let me see if I can remember the names of half these creatures (I haven’t played BZ yet only Subnautica)
So Bloodmoon’s main species are chelicerate, human, biter and bleeder
Ruin’s main species is snow stalker, human, thermal lily and perhaps the ever so small amount of ahem architect
KC is mostly shadow leviathan and human he has no clue what else is mainly there so he just calls himself a shadow leviathan
I will be trying to draw up designs of them all
Also I love subnautica too! I’ve just steered myself away from the temptation of seeing the below zero lore so I can go into it blind haha hopefully I can play it soon

The Observer view on Prince Harry’s court victory over Mirror Group Newspapers
Observer editorial
In his continuing campaign to bring the press to account for phone hacking, the Duke of Sussex may succeed where Leveson’s inquiry failed
Sun 17 Dec 2023 06.30 GMT
Tumblr media
A smiling Prince Harry outside the Royal Courts of Justice, with photographers in the background.
In its defence of the civil court action brought by Prince Harry, Mirror Group Newspapers argued to the death that there was not a shred of evidence to support the Duke of Sussex’s claims of a lifetime of illegal information gathering and phone hacking. “Zilch, zero, nil, de nada, niente, nothing,” Andrew Green KC, the newspapers’ barrister, insisted in summing up. Piers Morgan, Mirror editor for much of the period in question, reiterated that denial – and took the opportunity to double down on his vindictive and blatantly self-serving assault on Harry’s reputation – in a prepared statement for the press on his doorstep on Friday. The damning 386-page judgment of Mr Justice Fancourt, published earlier that morning, tells a very different story, however.
In supporting Harry’s claims, and awarding him £140,600 in damages, it provides an exhaustive catalogue of evidence that “extensive and habitual” unlawful practices went on over a longer period at the Mirror than previously established; that the use of off-the-books private investigators and blaggers and hackers to capture personal details of Harry and his circle – and scores of other high-profile targets – was endemic at the Mirror’s three national titles from 1998 to 2011.
One dangerous consequence of these latest revelations has been renewed calls for legislative oversight of press freedom
The judgment also makes plain that the Mirror Group’s deletion of phone records and email evidence from the period, and the decision not to call senior editorial staff, including Morgan, to give evidence, must be understood as part of an ongoing culture of cover-up. What went on, the judge told the court, “was concealed from the board, from parliament in 2007 and 2011, from the Leveson inquiry, from shareholders and from the public for years”. Public trust in news, already serially undermined by political and commercial attacks, is again the victim of that denialism. One dangerous consequence of these latest revelations has been renewed calls for legislative oversight of press freedom, which a democracy must always resist.
Despite its denials, Mirror Group has paid out £100m to other litigants in out-of-court settlements. A further raft of cases will now no doubt follow. A previous test case brought by the Coronation Street actress Shobna Gulati established that, even in the absence of a full paper trail, it was clear the illegal practices were “generic” in the papers’ newsrooms from 2001 to 2006. In Mr Justice Fancourt’s assessment, the “generic” period could now extend between 1998 and 2011 – beyond both the arrest and conviction of the News of the World journalist Clive Goodman for similar practices in 2006, and – shockingly – Lord Leveson’s subsequent inquiry into the press.
When Harry first announced, five years ago, that he would make it his “life’s work” to seek justice for his family’s treatment by the tabloids, it was characterised – invariably in those same papers – as a fool’s errand. What his mission might now prove to be, however, is a half-workable replacement for the planned second phase of the Leveson inquiry, which was shamefully abandoned by Matt Hancock as culture secretary in 2018. That phase was due to examine the full extent of unlawful practice across the British press, the ways in which journalistic privileges designed, in all our interests, to hold the powerful and criminal to account in extremis, had been cynically “hijacked” to trade, at an industrial scale, in royal gossip and celebrity private lives.
Harry and others will bring further cases against Associated Newspapers’ Daily Mail and Rupert Murdoch’s Sun. It is to be hoped that the disclosure and defence of those actions may serve finally to establish the exact extent and limits of a culture that has been profoundly damaging to journalistic integrity and to British public life. In their notably scant reports of the judgment – a rare royal story in which they apparently have very little curiosity – neither paper referenced those forthcoming actions. No doubt, however, until the full truth is told, lawyers for both groups will continue to be exercised by little else.

The Creator was acting extremely suspiciously today, and I’m not sure if it is because he was being truthful about his insanity when talking with Sun, or if he was just obfuscating stupidity that entire time. Because he definitely went zero to a hundred in that conversation with KC, even contradicting himself within that very same conversation—because creating KC to “get rid of the bad and keep the good” is a lot different than ordering him to kill any human he comes across, whether they be elderly or literal toddlers.
A point in favor of him just having outright lied to Sun is that he affirmed to Sun that he could neither “fix, modify, or even tweak” KC… and yet he did just that today (Which makes me think that KC might not have been a bit of corrupt code in the first place, and this may have been the Creator’s intention all along). On the other hand, suddenly being concerned with extreme efficiency and ensuring that everyone lives up to their namesake and intended design to the best of their capacity, even if that means some of the animatronics would be pitted against each other by their very nature (Earth being a peak caretaker for kids while KC is to kill indiscriminately) would point to a very unsound mind.
As to that commentary on Eclipse… honestly, at this point I think that Eclipse is better than him? Or at least slightly less evil? Because at least Eclipse’s plans involved salvage and trying to improve things (even though his “improvements” leave a lot to be desired), while the Creator just seems to want to cast absolute judgement and slaughter everyone here—all the while putting on an affable façade.
It’s possible this is all a new idea for him, I suppose. I mean, he did say that he abandoned Earth because he was “bored” of her, after all. But that does leave me even more worried about his “all my plans will come to fruition” comment to Sun in regard to how he hid what were basically backups into all of his creations’ coding.
It was just a very weird episode, is all I’m saying. And I don’t know what to make of it beyond feeling sorry and worried for KC and what that shutdown might have done to Moon and the computer.

Totally didn’t come up with new Eclipse Backup OCs amidst the backups poll war.
They won’t be in the polls given they already started and they weren’t made beforehand (and the bracket thing I’m using for the polls doesn’t allow more than 32).
Meet My New Babies (this is only 6 of the new 18, god help me)!
Stargaze: Backup that activates during the fight for the star and pops up in the daycare in a body of his own due to nanobots being fused into his backup for this exact scenario (he was the backup behind the generator). He screams seeing Blood Moon trying to beat the life out of Eclipse and it causes Blood Moon to chase in him a bloodlust fueled rage only for Blood Moon to stop when they realize Stargaze isn’t Eclipse. They’re purring and cuddling Stargaze to calm him down when Sun and Moon find them and they let both of them stay (as long as they behave).
Hydra and Kerberos: They activate together in Fazer Blast during a game and Freddy has to come and get them, delivering them to the daycare immediately. Moon, Lunar, and Sun were quite startled seeing the twins, but they were kind enough of gremlins that they accepted them into the family. Hydra and Kerberos like hanging out in Fazer Blast and love helping Freddy instruct and lead the teams against each other.
Brown Dwarf: Brown Dwarf activates fully blind in an alley. He has a few set memories and a vague personality but not nearly a full backup. He manages to stumble to one of Monty’s designated homes and passes out there due to his battery dying from nearly two weeks of walking to get there. Monty finds him next visit to that house and puts him on a charger seeing as his battery has been at zero for almost a week by then. Brown Dwarf wakes up screaming because he’s not used to charging and ‘why is this cord keeping me here!?’. Monty calms him down and explains that he’s safe now. Brown Dwarf is very slowly introduced to his brothers, who ha loves, though he’s initially distrusting of Sun from a comment on how different he is from Eclipse. Moon eventually makes him a guide dog named Torch, a super sweet little german shepherd who loves her owner and will forcefully protect him from any Karens that may harass him.
Sedna: Sedna activates inside one of Moon’s bases alone and must remain there because his body isn’t fully formed due to a lack of nano-machines to create his body with. He’s missing left leg from the thigh down, though he makes himself a temporary magical ‘prosthetic’, though he can only keep it active for so long a day. Sun finds Sedna on his murderous rampage when he’s just deactivated the magic for his leg and is so drained he just passes out. Sun send Moon the location and continues on his way, knowing his brother will come help Sedna, but Sun can’t detour too long. Moon makes him a permanent prosthetic with it’s own magical generation feature so it never disappears on him again and Sedna doesn’t have to sustain it with the limited magic he has.
Orcus: Orcus activates inside Kill Code’s bunker, only to get yanked out when KC finds out that voice isn’t Eclipse. He gets put into a Lunar-sized body and locked away for months. By the time KC remembers he exists (after he gives up on murdering the entire world), Orcus is mentally broken and thinks being isolated is his punishment for not acting correctly. Orcus clings to KC after he’s finally let out and will simply not accept that KC abused him. Once he finally breaks from the stockholm syndrome, Orcus can’t be around KC or Moon and goes out of his way to avoid them. Moon gains his trust back quite easily due to not having hurt him, but KC works on trust for years before Orcus can trust him again.

A new interactive exhibit set in a movie theater is coming to KCK. Here’s what to know
By Joseph Hernandez September 04, 2024 6:00 AM
A rendering shows Atlas9, an immersive art experience by industrial design company Dimensional Innovations coming to the Legends in Kansas City, Kansas. The team hopes to have it open by summer 2025. A rendering shows Atlas9, an immersive art experience by industrial design company Dimensional Innovations coming to the Legends in Kansas City, Kansas. The team hopes to have it open by summer 2025. Dimensional Innovations/Atlas9 A room inside Kansas City-based industrial design company Dimensional Innovations’ office space has a doomsday clock of sorts. The clock, now under 300 days, counts down to zero.
When it hits zero, CEO Tucker Trotter and executive creative director Randall Statler hope to take Kansas Citians to a brand new world based around a movie theater.
On top of creating new signage for CPKC Stadium and a LEGO Ferrari for Legoland in Florida, the team has been hard at work crafting Atlas9, a narrative-driven immersive art experience coming to the Legends in the summer of 2025. Before it opens, Trotter and Statler said First Friday visitors can get a glimpse Sept. 6 of what to expect when it opens.
It’s a joint venture between the design company and Homefield, a youth sports development company who recently opened a youth sports arena in the same area earlier this year. They also have help from KC-based interactive entertainment group Swell Spark and local performance art organization Quixotic.
The Atlas9 team drew inspiration from other interactive art exhibits around the world, including The Rabbit hOle, City Museum in St. Louis and teamLab in Tokyo. They’ve helped create interactive pieces at the Amelia Earhart Museum in Atchison and the University of Kansas’ welcome center and decided it was time to develop one of their creations in their hometown.
“We’re doing all of these incredible experiences, why not do one for ourselves and be the client for the one in our city?” Trotter said. “The fact that we’ll have two immersive art experiences is really incredible.”
What is Atlas9?
Atlas9’s narrative follows a struggling movie theater looking to draw in customers by using new holographic projection technology to provide moviegoers with a fully immersive and interactive viewing experience. During its first demonstration, the system overloads and causes a power surge, and, as a result of the surge, brings the characters and settings from the movies into the real world.
Trotter and Statler decided on a movie theater since one of Dimensional Innovations’ first major clients was Leawood-based AMC Theatres and felt it was natural to put a cinema spin on their story. The name Atlas9 also derives from old movie theater names.
When it opens, it’ll be a nonlinear experience, meaning visitors can visit all of the rooms and unpack the story at their leisure. They could visit the 240-seat movie theater first and then go through the manager’s office or walk straight into a movie standee and take a look inside the movie’s setting. Using radio frequency identification wristbands, guests can scan kiosks placed around the exhibit and see themselves placed inside movie posters.
Some places inside the 48,796-square-foot building that’s currently being built will be left empty when it opens, Trotter said. The creators want the freedom to add more exhibits to expand the narrative after the opening.
“We’re creating this world and the back end system we’re developing will allow us to do permutations, create sequels, create plot twists and do those things that can evolve the narrative to keep it fresh,” Statler said.
Trotter and Statler say the movie theater will used for other events, such as live performances hosted by Quixotic. They hope to see local film festivals or private parties using the venue.
What can I see on First Friday?
Atlas9’s narrative kicks off before the planned opening. September’s First Friday visitors will get the first look at what’s coming to Kansas City next summer at Mean Mule Distilling Co. in the Crossroads.
Within the story, federal agents were deployed to the movie theater after the power surge to examine the effects. Agents live on the site of the theater inside a van that resembles an ‘80s-style van. The van and “agents” will be at Mean Mule as the first activation of the exhibit.
Visitors will be able to interact with the van and agents and try to figure out what’s happening. Statler said this is the first of many teasers coming to the city until it opens.
“We’re leaning on the narrative world we’re building and our movie theater background,” Statler said. “We’re leaning on story a lot in this way, on the screen and in how all the things tie together.”

Collaborative Robots (cobots) and their Impact on the Food and Beverage (F&B) Industry
Of the many factors that carry forward the brand value in the F&B industry, perhaps the most impactful relates to the food menu and the service provided.
Applications of Robotics in F&B
The use of robotics in the F&B industry has been necessitated due to the perennial labour shortages prevalent in the Industry. In addition, the demand for food has increased manifold in recent times with the rise in e-commerce platforms for food ordering and cloud kitchens putting more pressure on the F&B industry to deliver quality and efficiency.
The major activities that can be, or are being, managed using robotics in the F&B industry are:
Preparing a wider variety of food in a shorter time without compromising on quality
Cleaning of food-handling surfaces
These processes have been made possible with the advent of cobots, which are robots coexisting with humans in the same workspace. Cobots occupy less floor space than robots and have the necessary safety mechanism in place to coexist with humans.
Here are a few reasons to employ collaborative robots (cobots) in your F&B factory and outlet
Improved food safety and quality: Cobots can be programmed to handle delicate food items with precision, ensuring consistent quality and reducing the risk of contamination. They can also be equipped with vision systems and sensors to detect defects, contaminants, or foreign objects in food products, enhancing food safety standards. Signature dishes can be created more often by programming the recipes. Customers experience uniform taste in the same dish time after time
Increased productivity and efficiency: Cobots excel at repetitive and monotonous tasks, such as packaging, sorting, and assembly. By taking over these mundane tasks, they free up human workers to focus on more skilled and complex activities, thereby increasing overall productivity in F&B operations. Even cutting vegetables can be automated – this is a time-consuming but low value-add activity. A single cook can now cook many dishes at a time by operating cobots simultaneously
However, there are also some challenges in deploying collaborative robots (cobots) in an F&B setting
Not only do the cobots in F&B need to handle hot oil in smoky environments as well as sub-zero temperatures, they need to be operated on surfaces where food or condensation accumulates and should be certified for use in food and splash zones.
Needing to be clean and hygienic, they must be easily maintainable with no gaps in the equipment and must be painted with non-hazardous paint. They must be able to withstand harsh environmental conditions such as high temperatures and humidity and must generate low levels of noise. For ease and effectiveness of operation in preparing dishes, they need to be easily programmable without the need for technical knowledge.
Doosan E-series Cobot for the Food and Beverage Industry with an IP67 rating
MELSS brings you the E-Series Collaborative robots (Cobots) from Doosan which have been exclusively developed for the F&B industry and the A-Series. This range of cobots sports many advanced features such as
NSF/ANSI 169 Food Zone & KCs-CE-NRTL certified for use on surfaces where food or condensation gathers and avoiding cross-contamination

6 zone and 5 geometry shapes setting for full protection of the operator
Power and Force Limiting (PFL) to keep hazards below a threshold value
A-Series and E-Series cobots
A range of compatible food-grade grippers
The IP67 advantage – The E-Series cobots are dust-proof and offer good protection from water. The 6 in IP67 signifies total protection from dust ingress and the 7 indicates protection from immersion between depths of 15 centimetres and 1 metre.

Airing some advanced frustrations
By request of @latin-dr-robotnik, who suffered for us :P
So, my stance on the Advance series is: I like Advance 1, I very much dislike Advance 2, and I love Advance 3.
I’ve played Advance 3 more than I should, so out of fairness I decided to replay its predecessors to see if they’d grow on me.
Advance 1 kinda did! At least, I thought it was even better than I remembered. It descends into classic Dimpness by Angel Island Act 2, but the first levels feel fluid and engaging. And Amy best character don’t @ me.
But Advance 2... I think it’s worth to lay down exactly everything that it did wrong, because Advance 2 is an interesting look to how easily Sonic’s design can be twisted.
Tumblr media
Sometimes, games are ruined by their very gimmick. One example is Knuckles’ Chaotix. KC was based on the Ring Power system that changed the physics of the characters, and was quite unwieldy. Instead of fixing the physics, they changed the entire levels to be as safe as possible, with zero hazards and dumb Badniks. The design of every act is also pretty much the same for every one of them, mainly vertical since all characters can ascend and without any unique gimmick with the exception of Amazing Arena. Add the baffling decisions of having 5 acts for 5 zones, and the result is a mindnumbing game that gives you literally nothing of value aside from pretty graphics.
Advance 2 is similar. The game is so 100% committed to the old “gotta go fast” formula, that it affects everything.
The level design, for about half the game, really could be summed up as “hold right to win”
The setpieces are few and far-in-between, because platforming would interrupt your running time
(there aren’t even idle animations, they replace the “look up” button: of course, you’d never need to stop and look up)
There is no water at all, except in the very first act (and you run on top of it), the only ice is in the form of ice slides that might send you to your death if your reflexes aren’t lightning fast, the only air gimmick in the sky level are fans that push you forward or stop your fall, and while there is a volcanic level there aren’t any gimmicks related to the volcano trope
There are no moving platforms at all
The closes thing to a gimmick in the levels are the rails, of which there’s an abundance so the novelty wears off very quickly - plus, you can only land on the very top, and if you don’t, death might await you
While all the characters have their own unique moves, you’ll barely be compelled to use them - have you ever climbed a wall with Knuckles? If so, did it feel organic, like something the game expects you to do? It gets even worse with Amy, which is little more than Pink Sonic and is so not worth what you have to go through to unlock her.
This means that the idea that I have to play though the entire game again as Knuckles when I’m almost done with Sonic is unbearably boring because it feels like the same thing for the 4th time and I cannot speed up the process like I could do in, for example, Heroes
While there are alternative paths that you can take with excellent reflexes and memorization, they all feel the same due to the lack of gimmicks - there is no “upper path is faster, lower path is trickier”, every path is fast and tricky
Since the gimmicks are very weak, the difficulty is cranked up by increasing the amount of unavoidable hazards in your way and especially the amount of bottomless pits - and I do mean unavoidable, springs and ramps launch you into enemies for no reason other than giving the illusion of a tricky level
Tricks are great, until you use them in a way the game hasn’t accounted for, and suddenly punishes you for wanting to keep momentum
This makes exploration unintuitive and the player is discouraged from looking for alternative routes
And yet, the Special Stages are unlocked by collecting 7 Special Rings, which do require extensive exploration, even as the design straight up punishes you for it
Also, having to collect 7 in a row is counterintuitive to how cheap and bottomless the design gets in the second half of the game
The bosses are all of the running type (except the final one), reducing the variety of the battle
fuck the sky canyon boss and its instakill attack
Here is where I’ll try to explain how Advance 3, while still having hazard placement problems, in my opinion is not nearly as frustrating as its predecessor.
Advance 3 rewards your curiosity and your desire to replay the game. Sometimes, stupid hazards can be avoided by taking advantage of the team’s special abilities - the crushers in Route 99 Act 1, the crushers in Ocean Base Act 1 and the water in Twinkle Snow Act 1 all can be avoided if you take another route with the right team, and unlike in Advance 2 you can stop and look at your surroundings. Playing through a level can be a different experience depending on which character you choose (just look how easily you can snap some levels in half if you get the right combination). The levels are also much more fun to go through because they all have their own identity and memorable gimmicks. Even collecting Chao, while not the best way to access Special Stages by far, at least makes sense: of course a game all about exploration and experimenting would push you to explore and experiment. It helps that each act only has 2 or 3 or 4 Chao and that they’re saved in memory once collected. (I would do without the key, but that’s another matter...)
So yes, sometimes the game is mean (it sure loves its popping spikes), but if you push through and find ways around it when possible, the experience is closer to a faster, bigger Advance 1, with intricate level design and so many ways to be played. Oh, and you have to finish it only once!
Advance 2 is not rewarding. You get good at it due to sheer trial-and-error, and what it gives you once you’ve mastered it? Levels that rely only on aesthetic and music (which, to be fair, are always on point) to be memorable, that have to be played 4 times (or 5 if you hate yourself) in nearly identical ways. It’s not a deep game, it’s a parody of the Boost games before they were even a thing.
Let’s compare maps.
Advance 1:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Advance 1 is varied. Neo Green Hill starts off with a very small, linear act with a handful of alternative paths, perfect to experiment with the different characters and get the hang of how they work. Casino Paradise is gigantic in comparison, fitting as it’s inspired by Carnival Night but not as time consuming, and it’s very easy to fall into the lower paths. Ice Mountain goes through the water multiple times, but if your reflexes are good you can jump in time to avoid unnecessary water; Amy and Tails fare well here.
Advance 3:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Advance 3's maps are infamously enormous, wide in all directions. Route 99 Act 1 is fairly straightforward, understandable for the first level, and the map looks convoluted only because you go up and down and all around: but in fact you’re mostly going straight, with a few shortcuts that you can take if you use Tails’ Tag Actions, a nice way to ease you into the mechanic. Sunset Hill Act 1 is multilayered, with paths that cross each other, and in fact the upper path is not always the fastest one; this act also relies a lot on switches to progress if you choose the slower paths, but with the right teams you can bypass them. Ocean Base Act 1 is a beast of verticality, matched only by Egg Rocket in the first Advance: if you don’t bring Tails as your partner, you’re going to spend a lot of time here dodging crushers and riding platforms... but if you do bring him, you’ll be rewarded.
And now Advance 2:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Can you see the problem yet?
They all go in the same direction (well, Sky Canyon goes up and not down). They’re all long and linear. There’s no variation of speed. The only difference between Leaf Forest and Egg Utopia is that the latter has the typical reverse gravity gimmick that Dimps adores and the fact that now mistakes are much more lethal.
Why did I go all the trouble to rant about a game that not many talk about anymore? Well, it’s what I mentioned at the beginning: if you approach Sonic thinking its only characteristic is “gotta go fast”, the game you’re gonna get is Advance 2. The very flat, boring, “there’s no way to put normal obstacles in these levels so we’re gonna throw bottomless pits at the player until they get sick of them” Advance 2.
Sonic may be the name and speed his game, but that doesn’t mean that pure speed is good. The other Advance games knew it, and the first one took pages out of the Classics, while the third tried to combine features from both its predecessors to create its own beast. Neither is perfect, but both are engaging and fun in a way Advance 2 can’t reach, because it’s too busy trying to add fake depth to a shallow concept.

U.S. Navy starts ARTEMIS update for the F-5 fleet of former Switzerland
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 07/18/2022 - 08:30 AM in Military
The U.S. Navy's project to upgrade a fleet of F-5 fighters that were from the Swiss Air Force to the F-5N+/F+ standard has reached the decision of Marco C recently and is entering production and deployment.
Managed by the U.S. Navy's Specialized and Proven Aircraft program office (PMA-226), the F-5N+/F+ Avionics Reconfiguration and Tactical Enhancement/Modernization for Inventory Standardization (ARTEMIS) program will reconfigure the aircraft structure and incorporate a block update consisting of existing and emerging commercial technology.
The Opposing Team PMA-226 is introducing 22 Swiss Air Force F-5E/F aircraft repatriated in the ARTEMIS modification program to meet the requirements of the Navy and Marine Corps to increase the fleet's opponent training capacity with high-altitude tactical fighters.
Tumblr media
In addition to reconfiguring the aircraft structure, the project will convert the F-5E/F engines to the F-5N/F standard of the Navy and Marine Corps. Once completed, the program will integrate the block update, which consists of a new cockpit glass and avionics set that uses technology found in more modern aircraft to improve safety and capacity. After this update, the 22 aircraft will be in the F-5N+/F+ baseline configuration.
The Marco C decision of June 28 follows the delivery of the first F-5N prototype to the Navy in September 2021.
The Opposing Team and the industry partner Tactical Air Support, Inc. (TacAir) will run the F-5N+/F+ ARTEMIS program. Tactical Air Support owns and operates F-5AT aircraft currently supporting PMA-226 tactical fighter training and has carried out similar modernization and security upgrades to its own fleet of aircraft. The company assisted in the validation of the F-5N+/F+ block update configuration in two of the Navy F-5N prototypes completed earlier this year, the navy said.

Captain Gregory Sutton, PMA-226 program manager, said: "This program will provide a fleet of updated, safe and modernized opposing aircraft, providing the realistic and relevant tactical training that our aviators need to win in combat."
To improve and improve aircraft safety and mission effectiveness and to meet existing and emerging requirements and obsolescence problems, the ARTEMIS program integrates fully digitized avionics instrumentation and provides greater security and capacity upgrades. These updates will also add tactical features designed to improve air-to-air training.
The F-5 fighters that the U.S. Navy acquired from the Swiss Air Force include 16 F-5Es and six F-5Fs. In service with the U.S. Navy, the F-5N accommodates a pilot in a pressurized, heated, air-conditioned cockpit and rocket-powered ejection seat, while the F-5F is a two-seater fighter with combat capability.

"The PMA-226 Opposing Team made a successful decision by challenging the standards to adapt program requirements using a combination of business solutions and the lessons learned by our industry partners focusing on desired results and risk mitigation," said Boyd Forsythe, Leader of the F-5 opposing team at PMA-226.

Despite incendiary news (propoganda front for the US Red Guards chapters, run by probably 5 dudes in total) trying to word this like they committed some righteous revolutionary violence against social fascism, what actually happened was these boys in blue stormed a library where like 3 DSA members were printing flyers for an antifascist event, read one of their stupid speeches, and then tried to steal all of the flyers and a library projector for some reason. At this point a man described by the KCDSA as an elderly, disabled veteran tried to confront them and the Red Guards (judging by the size of the group that is every single member of the KC Red Guards + some random schmucks they roped into going) beat the old man to the point that he was hospitalized, which is where the “bloodshed” part of the headline comes in.
In spite of all this posturing, the Red Guards remain a force of, at maximum, 50 people nationwide, and I don’t think they’ve ever successfully won a fight save for against this particular old man. It’s pretty easy to find out who they are if you are unfortunate enough to have a local chapter, and I can speak from personal experience when I say they are not a threat to anyone but the vulnerable people they manipulate into becoming economically reliant on them. They’re so ill-equipped to confront fascism in any meaningful sense that they’ve had to convince themselves that the DSA, the only people they’ve been able to successfully bully, are somehow as big of a threat to the working class as, say, the Proud Boys chapter that also meets regularly in Kansas City.
As easy as it would be to say these people are just undercover cops, the depressing reality is that this is a replicating network of pseudo-cultists that offer catharsis activism to frustrated young leftists. Oftentimes these people are economically vulnerable and come to rely on the group for transportation and even housing, which makes it even easier for the Red Guards to drag other people as far down the rabbit hole as they have gone. This particularly insidious recruitment design has been completely ineffective in retaining any genuine working-class membership, but excels at removing other leftists from other, more meaningful leftist circles. For that reason I can’t say I would be surprised if ground zero of this organization was some COINTELPRO type shit, but it has nonetheless succeeded in contorting the ideology of a nonzero number of people who used to be actual leftists.
The Red Guards have this organizing structure where they split up into these sub-organizations so that they can abandon the Red Guard name and distance themselves from their reputation. These orgs have specific purposes -  the exact name and function of these sub-organizations varies from location to location, but this is generally the pattern you’re gonna want to look for. They have “LGBT liberation” orgs like “Stonewall Militant Front” that they use to lend credibility to the transphobic shit they frequently peddle. They have (usually cis) women-exclusive orgs like “Popular Women’s Movement” that focus on women-specific issues, and they are usually the main source of the transphobic shit that comes from the Red Guards. They have “Serve The People” orgs, which is the “mass” / working class outreach facet of the Red Guards. They scoop up well-meaning leftists and convince them to do outreach to working class communities - they never actually recruit any working class people, but it’s pretty good at melting the brains of the well-meaning leftists with this weird Chairman Gonzalo-centric drivel.
They start demanding more and more of your time, even eventually demanding you “self-criticize” if you are late enough times or do not show up to enough of their protests. They start demanding that you be willing to get arrested at said protests so that they can spin it as a “propaganda victory” on incendiary news. If you’re really struggling financially, they might even ask you to move in with them, where I can only assumed you are constantly corrected and criticized for revisionism/liberalism/rightism/etc.
Not everybody in leftist circles is going to be acting in good faith, and the Red Guards certainly aren’t. If you live in Kansas City, Austin, LA, Charlotte, or Pittsburgh, avoid these people like the plague.

6. Gemini 12
Date: November 11-15, 1966 (3 days, 22 hours, 34 minutes, 31 seconds)
Crew: James A. “Jim” Lovell, Jr. and Edwin E. “Buzz” Aldrin, Jr.
Mission Highlights: The tenth and final flight of Project Gemini, Gemini 12 launched from the Cape on November 11, shortly after the successful launch of its prime target, the Agena Target Vehicle. The most pressing objective was to finally conquer the extravehicular activity, the spacewalk, an activity that American astronauts had struggled with for several flights. In order to improve the EVA experience, NASA implemented new training strategies including underwater training to simulate “neutral buoyancy” conditions in space.
Tumblr media
Rendezvous and docking took place on the first day. When onboard radar was lost, Buzz Aldrin, aka Dr. Rendezvous, manually calculated the necessary maneuvers and Gemini 12 successfully docked with the ATV.Buzz‘s first of three planned Gemini 12 EVAs was a stand-up EVA on the second day of the flight, meant to assist his next two. In addition to Earth photography, he installed a handrail near the hatch that would allow for easier movement and navigation when he left the spacecraft. The next EVA, on the third day, lasted over two hours. Buzz’s tasks included a gravity-gradient experiment with the docked Agena, testing equipment designed for use aboard Apollo flights, and simply managing a moderate workload without becoming exhausted or disoriented. Accomplishing all of those objectives, particularly the last, the EVA was a terrific success. Aldrin and others attributed EVA improvements to the underwater “neutral buoyancy” training that had replaced KC-135 zero-g training. The final EVA was another stand-up consisting of observational photography.
On November 15, the computer-controlled reentry put the crew of Gemini 12 right on target, a few miles from their landing site. They were recovered by the USS Wasp and treated for mild dehydration (and Jim had pinkeye), but otherwise healthy.
Significance: The conclusion of Project Gemini was an enormous milestone for NASA leading up to Apollo and the first moon landing. Gemini 12 accomplished its mission, most importantly proving that NASA had found the solutions to its the biggest spacewalking problems. Underwater training as well as an increase in well-placed handrails and restraints made productive EVAs less strenuous and more successful. This development was essential for the goals and objectives of the Apollo program.
Shortly after the flight, President Lyndon Johnson spoke on the legacy of Gemini and Apollo’s future: “Today's flight was the culmination of a great team effort, stretching back to 1961. It directly involved more than 25,000 people in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Department of Defense, other government agencies, universities, other research centers and in American industry... The months ahead will not be easy, as we reach toward the moon, but with Gemini as the forerunner, I am confident that we will overcome the difficulties and achieve another success.”

Plastic-type material Injection Molding: Past, Found and Future
Tumblr media
Injection Mould Maker Plastic shot molding is a course of action in which forces liquid plastic-type material right into a mold to help make custom cheap name dishes, plaques, indicators and merchandise branding aspects. Once the actual plastic cools as well as confirms, it releases in the mildew to form a assortment of plastic material parts with regard to any industry. Famous utilizes of injection-molded incorporate: machine name plates, brand china for industrial gear, auto emblems, vehicle printing and also license plate slots, while well as product identity regarding recreational products.
Injection Mould Maker
Injection-molded plastic-type name plates along with other ingredients are created by a device this consists of three standard components:
A mold that can be created to make any size and appearance that is certainly needed A clamping device that clamps in addition to contains the mold jointly over the whole process A injection product will after that inject molten plastic-type material in to the mold, where it can remain until it possesses enough cooled and published
The actual molten plastic utilized for injection-molded products is usually produced by burning smaller plastic pellets, that happen to be raised on into an injection equipment heating the pellets to your molten or liquid application form.
Once the now smelted cheap pellets reach some sort of established temperature the partially liquefied is forcefully shot in to a mold. The rate and stress of this particular process is managed by simply a hydraulic cylinder which, once engaged, forces the particular liquid plastic into typically the form.
In "dwell" cycle from the plastic injection creating practice, the plastic is definitely left within the mold for you to ensure that it absolutely fills the mold then allowed to cool to help the point where this solidifies and the ideal thing is produced. The idea is and then ready intended for secondary processes seeing that decor, sub assembly, or even transport.
The injection-molded plastic material procedure allows manufacturers to generate customized plastic name discs as well as components that would become very costly to make because intricately by making use of traditional machining methods. Injection-molded plastics likewise saves money, time and attention by letting many components of the exact same component to be built concurrently, from the very same mold; every single copy equivalent to the a single ahead of it. This process in addition reduces labor costs by means of minimizing the need to get manual labor via personnel. There is also close to zero wasted material, since any rarely used or still left over plastic could be re-cycled to be reused in the operation
The History of Cheap Treatment Molding
Plastic injections creating originated with chemists throughout Europe and The particular United States have been trial and error with plastics. Originally ?t had been done by hand and also pushed into a shape using Parkesine but that proved to be as well delicate and flammable. Ruben Wesley Hyatt is often the official developer of plastic-type injection creating and the actual process has a prosperous history with brilliant heads.
John Wesley Hyatt was obviously a creative inventor and created the processing of celluloid plastics. This was a amazing action for a new young printer by The state of illinois who took about the difficult task from the New You are able to Pool Company to exchange the cream color that had been used in billiard projectiles.
So began his occupation in plastics engineering while he and his buddy Isaiah started making a number of mixtures with regard to checkers along with other objects. As time passes hoping various mixtures, Bob merged nitrocellulose, camphor in addition to alcohol consumption together. He hard pressed all these ingredients into a rounded steel mold that has been hot and allowed the idea in order to cool. When the particular material ended up being removed through the mold, they understood that he had effectively develop a billiard ball consisting of plastic-type material. Thus started the process of cheap injection molding.
John spectacular brother Isaiah patented this procedure of producing celluloid with 1870 and continued through making dentier from their own new material which usually swapped out dentures made of silicone. Thus began the production process of celluloid jackets. Steve was quite similar to the Kc Vinci associated with industrial invention since he / she also was traced using the invention of typically the regular sewing machine and spinning bearings all of which often contributed heavily to be able to producing.
Today, Celluloid as well as Cellulosic plastics can be identified virtually anywhere including electric screwdriver holders, tooth brushes and also items. Celluloid can end up being found in Hollywood, Florida today and is applied for creation of your own personal favorite films.
To advance often the processes of plastic treatment molding another great designer arrived to plastics actively within New york city after traveling coming from Rome on a fellowship. Leo Hendrick Baekeland commenced working with polymers along with this lead to the technology for Kodak Eastman which has been Velox. Velox is actually a final paper which will could be produced inside gaslight instead of sun rays.
As a chemist this individual made many developments throughout this field additionally planning on to investigate precisely how polymers were molecularly set up. All these investigations lead also many pioneering technological advances and developments beyond precisely what chemists possessed discovered so far about films and glues.
In 1926 Eckert in addition to Ziegler designed the parts molding unit in Philippines which seemed to be the first successful appliance used in manufacturing materials. This kind of brought injection plastic material creating on the generation line efficiently.
Many much more creative inventors attended by way of the process of plastic-type hypodermic injection molding in historical past and it has break through an even finer method regarding production in modern-day products for instance appliances as well as name system, signs and also plaques.
Typically the Injection Plastic material Molding Course of action Today
Modern-day version in the plastic shot molding machines are computer manipulated and plastic-type material raw materials is inserted into stainlesss steel and metal molds for you to produce the custom made cheap name plates, plastic material factors and many of the actual plastic-type products we utilize daily. The molding products injects hot plastic directly into the fungal and relax the plastic along with concentrated amounts the parts. Often the creating equipment of today helps make mass production of plastic-type material components easy and charge effective.
Right now, plastic injections molding suppliers use top to bottom and plan presses, treatment screw squeezes, electric pushes and hydraulic presses intended for whatever pace of strain is needed to finish the product pressure to help form. This procedure produces every little thing from car parts in order to license plates and possibly toothbrush.
The Future regarding Plastic Injection Creating Tools
Plastic injection creating will be a very innovative course of action containing created many valuable merchandise that we make use of every single day in your households. While the background involving plastic injection creating is pretty full of ingenuity and advancement, the foreseeable future is filled with perhaps greater likelihood as a lot more creative intellects add brand-new ways to improve cheap injection molding equipment in addition to process.
While the changes inside the plastic injection machines proceed, the future connected with injection molding is actually transforming its attention to the particular molds and mold elements. High tech plastic conforms may be made of material, epoxy or perhaps carbon soluble fiber and can increase end result through faster cooling instances and cycle times.
Introduced of 3D printing presents us a glimpse showing how far plastic injection creating can travel into typically the future. THREE DIMENSIONAL printing is usually a process of building a three-dimensional solid object associated with virtually any shape via a a digital model. Using the integration regarding 3D IMAGES printing in the plastic material injection molding process, models and samples can always be developed with far a lesser amount of expense.
A number of innovative thoughts have actually been doing work with corn seed starting makers to replace traditional oil based plastic into ingrown toenail starch based plastic. m Biodegradable material is at present getting used on a constrained scale in addition to many makes use of this material could possibly rapidly have that would impress the mind. All the item would acquire would possibly be the mold and often the substance to produce the new wave for the future to get plastics engineering. Researcher are generally still researching polymers how they did when plastic hypodermic injection molding began and their particular studies unbelievable at this specific point with many alternatives to come.

So despite having such a terrible time at KC, I came home to Best Waifu of 2018 and Best Ship EVER and everything is right with the world again.
The Top pic is obviously the new Zero Two nendoroid  (TokyoOtakuMode Link)
But the NaruHina Shirt has a bit of a backstory:
Tumblr media
Originally I got this HarleyPool one but the printing job was REALLY wonky so I complained to the company I got it from: TeePublic.
When I complained they were very professional and dealt with the problem quickly.
Apparently the flaw was in the quality of the original design so they couldn’t reprint a new one so they asked if I would either like a refund or choose a new design to get a shirt from. So I chose the latter.
Tumblr media
So I’m very happy with this print job but unfortunately they took down this design from the website but they do have other NaruHina designs if anyone wants to order from them:
NaruHina Designs: 1 2 3
So just know that if the quality of the shirt design isn’t to your liking, you can certainly get helped out by the TeePublic staff.
