I am from Australia and we have a no plastic bag rule across the whole country. I live in the state that first came out with it 15 years ago, and the only place in Australia. We just use reusable bags. Like it’s so easy?

It's so easy lmao like truly. I applaud all the no plastic bag states and countries, like it really is just is so easy to bring reusable bags, or be able to purchase them for cheap based on need and it makes such a difference. In my rural corner of midwest America, they still allow plastic bags and it's literally some of the only litter I see on a regular basis.

Someone like Katie Clark complaining about having to buy $1-$3 reusable bags for their groceries kind of makes me feel actually crazy. I know people who are on every form of government assistance, who have big families, who have chronic illnesses, etc who make it a point to use reusable bags when they shop, so I'm sorry but I'm dying to know what Katie My Husband's Tesla Clark's objection is.

ahh!! the blood diamond one shots are always so enjoyable to read and that make me think so much about my own characters and their backstories and childhoods as well. this one in particular really got to me; there isn't much room for childhood discussion in btrtv and the way you characterize young kendall and james made me MELT. so accurate to real kids, first of all, but there was so much shared about each other with just a few lines of dialogue. katie tugging james' hair at the end is like. the perfect precursor to their relationship as they grow older too lmao! i always look forward to your work :) <3

Hello SRS, so the other day I had my music on shuffle while baking Kromer cookies with my Spamton Stinko (real name Shelby but he rolls around in the dirt whenever we wash him - stinky became Stinko).

So Lady GaGa comes on shuffle and my boy straight up drops the cookie mixture he’s been excited about all afternoon, and he just started to…wiggle? I think it was his form of dancing or something??

He backed it up across the kitchen counter round all the mixing bowls, spun clumsily in a few circles and was waving his arms about when the song finished and he stood there looking kind of sad/confused. I put another one on (probably Pokerface) and he just started spam-jiving again, rolling round kicking his feet in the air playfully, shaking his booty, he looked so happy (and ridiculous lmao).

I recorded him for Instagram which he didn’t seem to mind, then after the 3rd GaGa song I put it back on shuffle. He looked legit heartbroken and ran up to me asking where the ‘[funkytown tunes]’ were and kept waving his arms at me and tugging at my sleeve pointing to the speaker. He couldn’t find simple enough words so got confused but I think he thought there was someone ‘Specil’ in the ‘[premium squawk box!]’.

Anyways the cookies were a disaster after that. He was totally disinterested and sulky, he had a bit of a tantrum when I made him clean up if he wasn’t helping bake. Kromer cookies are his fav and I’ve never seen something capture his attention so bad before, is this normal??

Though, the tantrum is something you should work on. Let him know that as much as you like GaGa, you want to listen to other songs too. Maybe you could set up a time during the day where he can listen to GaGa for a little bit.

I'm sorry about the disastrous cookies!! Spamtons can be very dramatic, especially when they don't get their way. Sometimes their dramatics overtake their interest in something else, like the Kromer Kookies.

So I’m kind of new to the fandom. I’ve been casually watching the show for a couple years now but only recently got into the fandom side. And I have to say, never in my life have I seen so much drama and toxicity in one place. I’m ashamed to admit that I’m enjoying the drama though lol.

Before I start though, I personally believe you can make anyone sound problematic if you try hard enough, we’ve all done and said stupid things, but when you decide to become famous you should be ready to be held accountable for the smallest things, not saying it’s right. It’s just how things are unfortunately.

So far I’ve decided that I just don’t like Jared and Danneel,did you know she used the same bullying tactics that Jared has used? I saw a screenshot from her story where she called someone out for... being mean to her? I can only hope the poor girl is ok after her dms were most likely flooded with angry stans. And she just seems so tacky, it’s really obvious if you take a look at her tweets from a decade ago, this woman does not have the potential or capacity to be any kind of famous.And honestly I think one of your anons were right about J2 being trumpies, especially Jared, I was looking for dirt on him and the guy said in a tweet that cracker is a slur? So far everyone I’ve met who had those kind of ideologies turned out to be somewhat of a racist so idk. As for Jensen, he seems to be a bit smarter in the sense that he knows when to stay quiet, but I think he’s probably the same as Jared. I think I remember him making a joke right alongside Jared when he was making that chloroform rape joke. And I think he said the N-word in his last panel with Jared? I think it was a fan’s name. I’ve been told he got the name right the first time and then practically said the N-word the second time around. I do think J2 are closet republicans who are trying to seem progressive because that’s what sells these days.

And Gen, she just seems so... uninteresting? Like I have no desire to know anything about her, unlike the others. But your blog helped out a bit with that. I still think she’s boring and uninteresting lol. I honestly think she should’ve just tried to get a role without Jared’s help. It probably would’ve been real hard, but earning a role through nepotism will not help her career if she decides to ever have one again. But then again, I remember thinking her acting paled in comparison to Katie Cassidy’s, who also played the character Ruby the season before Gen came along. So good luck to her I guess lmao.

So far the only one I’m unsure about is Misha? I mean you’ve got the hardcore Jared stans and the hardcore Misha stans, from what I’ve seen, both sides are extremely biased, and frankly, they all look like idiots from the outside, and they both have completely different beliefs. But you seem to be a bit more level headed, so I thought I’d ask you,tell me all the dirt. What are some of the shitty things he’s done? And I’m sorry this got so long.

The Supernatural fandom is one of the worst fandoms to be in. One of the big reasons that I stopped watching the show was because of the fans, I’ll be honest. But yeah, it is kinda fun to watch the drama, as long as you’re at a distance and safe! 

I absolutely agree that anyone can be problematic. Hell, if I became famous and people found my old tweets or Facebook posts, even Tumblr posts, I’d probably be “cancelled” or called out. I’m not a terrible person, but we’ve all been young and dumb and we’ve all been embarrassing, that’s just part of life. 

Danneel has absolutely been a bitch, there’s really no nice way of saying it. Fans have had horrible experiences with her in real life too. I think if she was more active on social media again, she’s still be showing her true colors, but she’s not active really.  I do remember Jared’s “cracker” controversy and like....I try not to be political, but really dude? I’m white and I don’t consider cracker to be racist or a slur. It’s ridiculous to me? I’m no History major, but I don’t recall people using cracker to describe white people who were considered “lower than” others. 

Jensen is overall a lot smarter than Jared, but he has made mistakes still. The difference is that Jensen apologizes, he holds himself accountable, and he changes his behavior to make sure that he doesn’t make those mistakes again. No one is perfect, but at least Jensen can own up, take responsibility and change. Jared....well we know Jared.

Gen is....well you said you’ve seen my blog, and there are other “antis” here who can shed even more light. She’s uninteresting but thinks she’s the bee’s knees.

Misha is......Misha. His fans are absolutely insane (I know there are some normal ones) so any sort of negative backlash against him is usually buried. I’ve made a few posts about him and why I stopped really being a fan of his, but I will try to summarize! 

I started getting kind of turned off to him around the 2016 election because he was bombarding social media with politics and I just wasn’t there for it. A lot of fans came after me for that but that’s their prerogative. I actually started seeing some anti posts on here and went down a rabbit hole of things that I’d looked past or didn’t know about that all mounted up. Some of those things are; (I don’t have links for everything because the one blog that had compiled everything together isn’t active anymore, but someone might have screenshots!) Also in no particular order!

Misha admitting to leering at kids at a playground while preparing for his role in Karla. 

Having his young female fanbase send him pictures of themselves only wearing cheese bikinis or kale swimsuits, etc. for GISHWHES. I know some people think “it’s just a goofy scavenger hunt” but if it wasn’t Misha Collins, would you want your barely legal sister sending pictures of her only wearing cheese to a 40 something year old man? 

His constant blatant disrespect for Jensen and his aversion to Destiel, his baiting of the fans and complete abandonment of Jensen when he gets the backlash. 

He baits the Destiel fans to the point of them making Jensen uncomfortable, then when Jensen puts his foot down, the fans attack him harshly. Where was Misha for that? Silent. Even though he was the one who eggs everyone on. 

Being rude, sexual, and otherwise inappropriate in front of children at conventions. I know fans will say “it’s not his responsibility to monitor kids!” but the fact that he continues to act like that while knowing there are kids in the audience is weird. I wouldn’t be making sexual jokes or being lewd in front of kids, that’s gross. 

His whole “charity” act that is really just him profiting from his “kindness” acts and his GISHWHES hunts. Pretty charitable of him. 

The fact that he uses Stands to push baiting merchandise onto fans with no regard to how Jensen feels, just to make a buck. (In addition to that, he doesn’t reign in the Stands staff who are horrible to fans and customers.)

I’m sure that there’s more, but that’s all I can think of at the moment! Hopefully that sheds some light! I try not to be too biased either way, but with some of the things it’s hard not to.

1. "Saeyoung will not hesitate to do PDA."

Do I even have to say it? No? Well, too bad, I need to release some of the creative energy the powers my dangerously active imagination.

I'd be putty in this nerd's hands so fast. Just give me a really nice, long, warm, comfy hug and I'd melt. But we all know that's the bare minimum. I like to tease people too, in particular I like to shower them with compliments until they don't know what to do with themselves, and, in writing, I also like to prompt people's imaginations in a direction that'll leave them red in the face for one reason or another. It's one of the reasons I ended Cuter Than Kittens on a suggestive tone and didn't even give the reader the satisfaction of a kiss. It was an almost-kiss. And I thrive on thinking about how that must frustrate people, because not only does it allow them to use their imaginations freely (hehe), but it likely leaves them wanting more.

But Saeyoung has far more confidence and, evidently, a much stronger drive than I do, and his desire to tease and poke fun is broader than mine is. I'm too easy flustered, and I'm all for giving him the reigns, so to speak, in that part of the relationship, at least at first, until I'm not so deep in that panicky "am i doing this right??" zone. Dont get me wrong, I'm well aware that Saeyoung doesn't have experience in relationships either, but his confidence (or portrayal of confidence) is enough for me to give into that feeling of "he knows what he's doing in this area."

This is already way longer than I meant it to be lol. Whoops. But anyways.

Just because I "give in" doesn't mean there won't be moments where I shy away from the affection, mostly likely because I truly am nervous or something, but if the nervousness is more surface-level, I can see myself turning it into a little giggly game of "nope, uh-uh, im not letting u kiss me~ hehe" because thats just what i naturally turn to -- making a situation lighthearted, either in hopes of giving the other person confidence or myself.

Goodness gracious, I'll move on now lol.

She ultimately generally eats (as a ball python though, she's a picky eater and will occasionally reject a meal), but I of course wonder why she's odd about dinnertime... 1. Dogs or Cats? I love cats, but I’m allergic so I’ve only ever had dogs. So, dogs! But I like the idea of both equally. 

2. YouTube celebrities or normal celebrities? Youtube, I guess? I’m not a big celebrity person but I guess I care more about how Dan and Phil are doing than like, Katy Perry or something. But like, if by youtube celebrities you mean like, idk James Charles or something then they’re honestly rated the same as regular celebrities in that I couldn’t care less about them or their personal lives. 

3. If you could live anywhere where would that be? A beach house somewhere with good weather and warm waters. So, Hawaii I guess? But I’ve never been so I can’t say for sure if I’d want to live there, esp with how expensive and tourist filled it is. 

4. Disney or DreamWorks? Disney, bc I grew up on those movies and watching the disney channel and going to disneyland. 

5. Favorite childhood TV show? As a little little baby kid, Blues Clues. Then Powerpuff Girls, Kim Possible, and ATLA as I got progressively older.

Hello! Just a quick question about bearding, why do we hate the beards so much? (;Gigi, Perrie, Taylor) (the famous ones that is) if we think that our boys don’t have a choice, then the girls don’t either, right?

why do people hate the “beards”? i get they hate that our boys are closeted, but i don’t get why they hate Eleanor or Gigi or Sophia (at the time). if there’s someone to hate is mngmt and s*mon. the girls are just doing a job and it’s not like they’re having the time of their lives. like, they’re “with” someone who love someone else. they can’t have a public relationship either. i think it’s awful for both of them:( i hope it ends soon.

just because this is something that’s been discussed and re-discussed and re-re-discussed so much in this fandom and there’s so much information on it easily available at this point i almost feel like i shouldn’t have to explain it at all but nevertheless i will weather the storm and attempt to help you understand so here we go…

first off, while i agree with you that a lot of the blame that falls on the beards as individuals is undue—since at least for those that already had established careers in the entertainment industry there was likely at least some degree of coercion and contractual obligation from their respective teams as well just like for the boys and they’re likely not personally responsible for most of the stunts and bs narratives as much as it is their teams pulling the strings in their favor (though often heavily in the girls’ favors at the expense of the boys but that’s a whole separate point)—that doesn’t excuse the fact that they willingly agreed to partake in bearding and closeting. and before anyone chimes in with ‘well they night not have known they were helping to closet/beard someone’ let me stop you right there cause puh-lease. it’s 2018. the number of rumors piled up at this point about zayn/liam/louis/harry’s sexualities that the general public alone knows about is ridiculous all its own, and probably astronomical when you consider what those in the actual industry probably know/have heard by now. it’s not a secret. people in the industry know and they’ve all been soft outed publicly by others in the industry at least once (if not multiple times) at this point. so while the idea that these girls are coming into things blind and naive as a baby deer and have no idea what they’re getting into may have flown in 2011 it’s about as sturdy as sand now and has been since about 2012 (when the first gay rumors about louis, harry, and zayn started to fly).

i’m not gonna get much into perrie because i feel like she’s a separate case since she came from virtually the same machine as the boys but the other famous beards i don’t feel like deserve the same pass as the chances are higher that they still had at least some degree of choice in who they decided to date for pr. i could be very wrong but from what i’ve read and learned from those in the fandom that work in the industry that have talked about this, higher-profile celebs (like taylor and gigi) often get their pick of potential pr boyfriends from a list of candidates curated by their teams and/or have some sort of sway or say into who they’d prefer. and still they specifically (and repeatedly) chose queer men (or at least men widely believed to be queer, leading them both to now come to be seen by many as serial bearders).

those that came into it without established careers of course are a different ballgame because not only did they willingly agree to help closet and beard but they did so at the expense of the boys’, essentially using them as a stepping stone to climb the ladder of fame and success. eleanor might have gotten a pass back in 2011 when she popped onto the scene wide-eyed and bushy-tailed with probably no real idea of what she was getting into and no projects on the horizon to promote, but you can’t argue that she didn’t know exactly what she was getting into when she out of the blue re-upped her contract and came back on the scene in 2016 with a budding modeling career (with connections to gigi no less) and a renewed social media presence and her and louis suddenly started going everywhere looking like walking billboards, promoing every single high fashion company in existence. and pretty much all the “normal” non-famous 1d beards have followed this same/similar trajectory too. it goes: start off getting marketed as just a student and a “regular” girl who’s oh so private and not looking for fame or to be in the spotlight, then flash forward a couple years or a couple months post-break-up and suddenly they’re all models on the come-up with a 1d-launched following on social media, promoting their next shoot or fashion line or what-have-you. 

if you see nothing wrong with any of that i can’t help you…

9 times out of 10 they’ve also turned out to be extremely gross people and this is actually the main reason most people hate them. not just because of the bearding but mainly because of the awful shit they’ve done all by themselves. the bearding is gross on its own sure but i think a fair amount of people these days recognize that—for some of them at least—not all of the blame for the bearding can be put on them individually and we’re not out to just blindly hate them for bearding alone like many fans were wont to do in the days of yesteryear because i think most of us understand by now that they’re people who can be just as manipulated into bullshit by those running things in the industry as the boys have. but whether they were coerced into bearding or not that doesn’t excuse many of their own disgusting behavior on a number of occasions. you can check some of the posts in my gigi, cheryl, danielle, and eleanor tags and the google webs for more concrete and exhaustive deets on the shit some of them have done but for the moment i’m just gonna list the biggest ones/and or the ones i can recall most easily off the top of my head

-gigi - involved in a bunch of racist shit (including borderline blackface, tasteless immigrant campaigns insinuating immigrants are literal aliens, and appropriating black hairstyles like afros and dreadlocks) which admittedly some of the blame for can be put on her team more so than her but still she’s not a puppet, she has a voice and some say in what she agrees to do and she fully could have turned the projects down if she saw anything wrong in it or at least apologized after the fact for participating in it and tried to make an effort not to participate in stuff like that again or to acknowledge why it was wrong (a la katy perry) and yet she continued to be involved in the same kind of shit over and over, but that also doesn’t excuse the shit she did all on her own when she made fun of asians for their features and never apologized for it and then when she got forced out of the Victoria Secret show in China b/c of all the backlash from Chinese people on sm she basically whined about it to her fans (in dm’s no less lmao wtf) and still didn’t actually apologize or admit she did anything wrong

-perrie* - called zayn a freak on-camera in an interview and basically insinuated that introverts and/or people who prefer to deal with their emotions in solitude or like to take time to be alone are weirdos

cheryl - showed her ass to be a transphobe and also a racist to the point of literal physical violence inflicted on a black woman, and also was accused of domestic violence, managed to avoid jail time for it all and basically bury it in the press, and is just an all-around gross person

danielle  - cheated on liam multiple times with multiple guys, treated liam like shit, weaseled her way back into a contract for payzer 2.0 by threatening to out ziam unless mgmt brought her back on, came back out of nowhere this past year and essentially tried to use liam for publicity again (once more by nearly soft-outing ziam)

eleanor - went all the way to india to stage a fake indian wedding with her (all-white) friends complete with traditional indian dress and jewelry and insinuating something about indians being like dogs or something like that idk i can’t remember the particulars rn but i just remember it was gross and racist and that’s really all you need to know (although i also wouldn’t be surprised if she’s pulled some other racist shit i don’t even know about)

as far as i can tell sophia and danielle c. (louis’ danielle, not liam’s) seem to have been the least problematic of all the beards…that we know of anyway (though that’s honestly probably mostly b/c they were perhaps the most low-key and dry of all the beards which imo is a good thing though i wouldn’t completely rule out some shit from them coming to light at some point too…maybe it has and i just don’t know about it idk but i digress)

anyway if after all that if you still don’t see anything wrong i really can’t help you, but hopefully this at least helped you understand at least somewhat better why so many people can’t stand most of them, outside of just the bearding stuff.

The fact that she is a Malfoy is so, so important to her character, y’all, like I’m not even fucking with you. It gives context to how she interacts with others, her relationship with blood purity and Death Eaters, the subsequent rejection of those things because she doesn’t have time for that and just why Pandora treats the world a particular way in reference to how she’s always been treated throughout her life.

ALECTO CARROW

Alecto has numerous ugly scars on her back inflicted upon her through dark magic by her father. Her back is honestly a mess of horrendous scar tissue and have never properly healed due to the nature of cursed wounds, and she has always been self-conscious of it. Her father made sure it was on a place that generally others wouldn’t notice. When she attends pureblood events and parties, she never wears backless dresses and is very particular when she has sex with others. They’re a permanent reminder of what she has to live up to, of her father’s expectations and punishments when she fails to. She hates him for it that she imagines killing him countless times and hopes to run away. She loves him enough that she continues to try and fail to be good enough for him.

GRISHA MCLAGGEN

Will I ever stop saying her relationship with Tom/Voldemort? Probably not. I mean, you can’t blame me when it’s kind of the center point of the fan film. He’s a crux component of her identity and the discovery of her heritage, and how she grew into herself during Hogwarts. Grisha holds herself responsible for not stopping him when she had the chance, when she had many chances to. For not seeing the red flags for what they truly are, for seeing them and turning away because she wanted to see him as the brilliant boy she fell in love with, as her best friend she was going to change the world with, as the hero who saved Hogwarts at the cost of a poor girl’s life and a sweet boy she knew. Grisha bought into the illusion and the person because she wanted to, because she couldn’t face the reality of who this boy she’s known all these years really was. Then she became an Auror as a result but it was already too late to save him from himself. And then she was too late to save her friends from him.

BELLATRIX LESTRANGE

Bella is a monster, plain and simple. She is a horrible, terrible human being and is a villain for a reason. I don’t see how you could ever forget this but don’t think I forgot this, because I definitely haven’t. She’s a powerful, deadly monster; delighting and an expert in killing people. But this doesn’t negate how important her relationship with her sisters is to her character and to me. To her, they are, or were, her soulmates; her flesh and blood, meant to be hers and meant to be by her side forever. She is not who she is without them. Her loyalty to them is fiercer, more absolute than her loyalty to her own parents - or so she thought. Andromeda’s betrayal entirely fractures her identity and how she saw herself and the world around her. She stops letting people in almost entirely, her distrust skyrockets, and she double downs on everything awful about herself while simultaneously becoming obsessive over those she cares about that she has left. 

ALICE LONGBOTTOM

I don’t believe I’ve ever stated this on the blog yet or have it mentioned on Alice’s profile yet, but Alice was a fucking magical genius. She was a poster child prodigy born into the limelight because of her Quidditch superstar dad and Sacred 28 mum, constantly compared to and pitted against her Squib twin sister and she hated it. But she also worked hard to live up to her own expectations, and in some ways the expectations of her parents and the public. She is brilliant and good, applying herself to anything and everything - partially so her sister doesn’t miss out on all the sorts of magic Hogwarts has to offer. I believe Dumbledore would’ve recruited her regardless of whether or not she was an Auror, that was only a bonus. Basically, out of all my muses, she’s the only one who would actually be a threat to Bellatrix and the Lestrange brothers.

MAFALDA PREWETT

Okay, I often joke about how awful Mafalda is; how she likes to show off, is an attention seeker and is hungry for validation, sarcastic and bitchy and rude, and has a tendency to be nosy and eavesdrop and gossip about others. But like, she’s a match for Hermione in terms of intellectual and academic prowess. And she isn’t afraid to work hard for it, to make up for the years where she was left in the dark by her parents in order to catch up to her peers and be better than them. Like she genuinely enjoys learning and is very, very gifted and studious. She’s a tad bit too arrogant, sure, but there’s a genuine reason for her arrogance.

CHARITY BURBAGE

Charity is still very materialistic. It’s not a surprise, honestly, for a girl raised by purebloods and swathed in wealth. She enjoys and savours expensive clothing, fine wine and food, lavish trips to beautiful cities. There’s a certain image she projects after rejecting her real name and using ‘Burbage’ instead, with long sweaters, and cups of tea, and dog-eared pages in worn copies of Hamlet. But yeah, she still keeps a small fortune of galleons around before she self-exiled herself, and the apartment she bought is in a far more expensive area of Muggle London. But at the same time, she was willing to give up her comforts and material wealth and luxuries for the sake of her independence and bettering herself away from the influence of her family. 

LILY EVANS

My Lily is, purposefully, not like Fanon!Lily, or at least I’m trying to consciously not make her like that; whether or not I achieve it is another story altogether. There’s a lot of pent up resentment, and she was very willing to break the rules that she often made others uphold. She wasn’t friends with the Marauders at all during most of Hogwarts, only starting to befriend them when she began dating James in her seventh year and absolutely abhorred the boy until she ended her friendship with Snape. She had her own group of girls she was very close with, including Mary Macdonald, her best friend, and had dated a few people before James, with one very serious relationship with a girl ending by Sixth year. She was very willing to seriously hurt Mulciber (and even kill him) when she heard what he did to Mary, and after Dumbledore said that Mulciber wouldn’t be expelled for his actions. 

KATIE BELL

She REALLY likes girls, that’s all. Okay, but seriously her friendship with the girls around her - Angelina, Alicia, Leanne, Hermione - is so important to her, and important to me too. It’s as intrinsic to her character as Quidditch is, as the terrifying moment when she got cursed by the opal necklace. Although they are a part of her realisation that she’s attracted to girls, she really loves them a lot and would do anything for them. 

DORCAS MEADOWES

She never wanted this life. Dorcas has been running away from this for so long, trying so hard to untangle herself from all of it, because this isn’t who she is, who she wants to be. She rejected magic, she rejected the Wizarding World, she rejected her place in the war. Being special, being different from everyone around her, fucking frightened her. She was content with the life she already had - being normal, as normal as a Jewish-Indian girl can be living in Wales with two dads. Her moral compass is the choke chain that holds her in place, that drove her to join the Order after much convincing from Alastor Moody, that had her agreeing to become a double agent within the Death Eaters’ ranks. There’s a lot of self-loathing and reluctance when it comes to her character and her involvement as a Double Agent.

       yessssss i have a whole bunch of faves actually, so what I’m gonna do is pick an excerpt for each of the muses on your multi who interact with Jack :’))

      soo let’s start with Hawke, the muse who probably has the most threads with Jack and therefore has the most to choose from lmao. I’m gonna give a shoutout to this thread first, because even though it’s still in process ( and I still need to reply ), I adore where their first ‘deep’ conversation is headed, but the excerpt that I’m actually going to pick is a snippet from their first thread ( which, surprise surprise, i still need to reply to lmao ), which completely surprised Jack and I think says a lot about these two’s relationship and how it’s going to develop:

It wasn’t, after all, as though she’d missed the implications of what he was suggesting. She might be cheeky and seem rather frivolous – she might be a tiny slip of a girl too fond of jokes by far and constantly restless and energetic, but she had a brain and a good one. Clever as she was, she saw instantly what he’d seen, and cursed herself quietly for having not seen it before taking the time to show off. 

[...] “Listen,” she said, finally. “Come back to my local with me, have a pint. I think you and I have some discussing of things to do, if only so we don’t get in each other’s way the next time, right? And maybe we have some common goals here, and can do better than just stay out of each other’s way.”

      so I’m picking this because, in the reply before, Jack had been trying to talk Hawke out of their little midnight break-in attempt, and here Hawke actually listens to him. that’s a big deal -- Jack was fully expecting her to plough ahead with her plan, leaving him to follow behind and turn around and say I told you so when they run into trouble lmfao. that she actually takes what he’s saying into account and chooses the rational choice rather than the rash one has really made Jack sit up and take notice of her, and also I think says a lot about how similar these two are at their core -- that they’re both very quick and very clever and calculated when it comes to taking risks.

      and then there’s Constantine. I’ll stick with Johnny boy for now as those two are probably the most developed, but while I love all of their things and how they’r all set at different points in their ‘relationship’ lmfao, I have a particular soft spot for the making out in a leaky boat thread B) in particular, I just love this whole excerpt, for no real reason than it’s a) another beautiful example of Katy’s writing and b) sums these two and their similarities up:

      and last, but certainly not least, I have to love on Beru and Jack’s things too :’)) I’ve gotta pick their first thread since this is where we both started as writing partners haha, plus this is our only real thing that’s fully based in the potc universe. as far as excerpts from that thread, go, I particularly liked an exchange between them in the first couple of replies, as I feel like it has and will continue to set the tone of their relationship:

“Sit,” she told him, and it was not an invitation. There was a firmness to it which brooked no contradictions. “Sit, and drink.” One of the glasses, she set in front of her. The other she set across the round metal table, waiting for him.

Morgana (Merlin):

 I didn’t finish Merlin yet — only just got to the part where Morgana started changing — but I’m inclined to put her in Gryffindor. Maybe Gryffinclaw. Katie McGrath said, and I quote: 

“I don’t see that she transitioned from good to evil. I see that she stayed true to what she believed. Just - she stopped believing what other people told her. If you think about it, no villain thinks they’re being a bad guy. Every villain thinks they’re doing the right thing… they all think they’re doing it for the right reason. It’s just: whoever tells the story, is the hero.”

And honestly, that just sounds like a classic Gryffindor following her gut to the ends of the Earth, even it means turning “evil.” All she wanted to be was herself. And so, why would she subscribe to the belief that what she was was an abomination? She knew what she was and that was enough fuel for her to choose her own path. 

Diana (Wonder Woman): 

PUFF! Clearly and thoroughly. She models a decent Gryffindor, but honestly, that’s just her inner Puff absorbing the values of her community. In the end, when it really, truly mattered, she defied the orders of her Queen (mom?) in favor of saving the babies. 

And she has a lot of inner drive and charges when needed, yes, which are useful tools on the battlefield. But in the most dire or ideal situations? Diana is full Puff all the way. She wants to stop and help everyone even though Steve Trevor tells her there’s no use. That woman’s plea to save her village is what gets her ass in gear, which is when we get to see her in full Wonder Woman regalia for the first time. THAT’S her defining moment. And it’s when she’s charging into battle, emboldened by one woman’s plea. The goal, whatever Steve Trevor said it was, paled in comparison to the people hurting in front of her now. 

Also, she’s inclusive! The scottish soldier froze in battle and couldn’t do the one thing he was hired to do, and when he tried to bow out, Diana managed to pull the one thing he could do (singing) in order to get him to stay. She’s the glue!!! PUFF!!!!! 

Kat Edison (TBT) 

Slytherin. But I feel like that’s obvious, right? Even Adena was like, “you love your friends more than everything, and i love that about you, girl” and she’s right!!! There’s one scene in particular that was really snek….

ELENA (odaat): 

Gryffindor. Clearly. She jumps onto cause after cause, heart first, and we love her for it. She’s not afraid to bump heads with anyone because she know she’s right. And when she confronted her dad (after he didn’t show up to her quinceñera), she said it didn’t matter what he did in the end, because she knew she was great and that was all that mattered. 

It’s also why she clashes with her fiery hufflepuff of a mother so much, lmao. 

Penelope (odaat): 

So my previous post was supposed to be about Penelope, but I accidentally did Elena instead… So here’s Penelope. 

Funnily enough, she actually sorted herself in the show and came up as a hufflepuff.

Joel is so fucking slytherin, and I can’t even begin to explain it right now. The moment he walked on screen, I was like, “hey, that’s me” because it was, because he’s full capable of rearranging his life and morals around the love of his life with only minor adjustment, despite it being such a BIG HONKIN’ DEAL (he started killing people for his zombie wife, what???) 

Trish (Jessica Jones): 

Gryffindor, the kind that wants to save the world too. And she has to do it singlehandedly or it doesn’t seem to count in her opinion (hence the whole season 2 storyline of her trying to get super powers). It’s honestly an unhealthy kind of Gryffindor fixation, and it’s :/ 

The reason why Jessica even began superhero’ing is because of her. As a Slytherin, Jessica shows her love by taking on the morality of the people she cares about. Trish wants to save the world, so for her, Jessica will save the world, sure. 

Moriarty (Elementary): 

Is a Slytherin who hides behind a Ravenclaw performance (like Lena Luthor :D), but her penchant for conning, adapting, being generally slippery (emotionally and not) is very telling. Plus, she will drop her entire criminal enterprise / career because her daughter was threatened? HM. SNek. 

The rest I just have hot takes that I don’t have textual evidence to back it up (yet) and/or subject to change, so I’ll just go rapid-fire: 

Riley (sense8): gryffinpuff, maybe? she was the least interesting cluster member to me, tbh. Sorrry! 

Sam (supergirl): I can’t do this one. Haven’t seen anything past season 2. 

Shirley (thohh): Let me finish the season, and I’ll get back to you. Leaning toward claw or gryffindor though. Maybe a very angry puff. Who knows.

Okay so these are in no particular order or ranking. I love all of these lovely humans and every single person whose ever said so much as Hi to me! (Random anons, ya’ll make my day). Also this got super long so I apologise!! Again i appreciate absolutely everyone I talk to!

@reinhartmendes: Shards was the very first friend I made on tumblr and to be completely honest, I almost lost it when she messaged me for the first time. Here I was thinking ‘omg I am not worthy of this’ because I saw her on my feed all the time and had always been far too nervous to say anything to her! Also she messaged me the day of the MET GALA (8th of May) and honestly that day was the day of blessing so I should have known only amazing things could come from it, and of course apart from well... THAT the other equally as amazing thing was my friendship with Shards. She’s stunningly talented at everything she does and I am super grateful to have her!

@forsythpendleton: Okay so the first time Sarah and I ever talked was because she had sent me an ask squealing over the fact that I was from Melbourne like her and that we liked all the same things. Half the message was in caps lock and thats when I knew, that were were destined to be good friends. Also one of the first things I ever said was invite her to a comic con viewing party and she didn’t run away so that was a pretty good sign. Honestly, I flood her messages with ramblings in all caps about SH on the daily and I swear sometimes she’s probably comes home to like a gazillion and one of them, she never cares though and sometimes she joins in, which makes me feel a LOT less crazy than I do. Also she super nice?? And caring?? and her photography skills?? Sprouse worthy. 

@emmalrb: So I can’t actually remember 100% which post it was but I messaged Emma because I knew she was Australian and basically just wanted to make some more friends on here and honestly you get 100 friends in one when you’re friends with Emma. We bonded over where we live and then shortly after over the fact that KJ was coming to Melbourne and we both were super stocked for it and also that we have basically almost the same job?? (working with kids/teachers). Also I went to comic con by myself this year (which was amazing, both the con and being alone) and I was messaging her updates throughout the day and honestly, she was so invested that she may as well have been there with me! ALSO She will randomly message me and tell me to have a great day?? Like go get yourself an Emma if you don’t already have one bc she’s amazing and her messages are the sweetest! Also she’s a super detective?? If I EVER need help with anything SH related she always knows the answer or can find a link (seriously you’re the best) And she’s also helped me lot with the Sprousehart timeline, along with everyone else in SSH which has literally been super helpeful!!?!. Love you lots!!

@jugheaddjones: Amber, my Brisbane buddy! Our conversation first started because she had messaged me and then straight after that, I messaged her with a gif and asked if she knew where it was from (sidenote: she did and I had been looking for that for SO long) We then realised that we were both from Brisbane (which if you know nothing about Australia, Brisbane isn’t the hottest city to visit). AND THEN  she freaked me out by joking around about if we knew each other in real life!! ( seriously my life flashed before my eyes bc LORD I would have passed out cold) anyways turns out we didn’t and that we both had a secret riverdale life (her words A+++ btw Amber) THEN  we both died over the fact that KJ was coming to Melbourne ( and then I cried a little bc I knew SH wouldn’t be) and basically I too, also spam her inbox with random Sprousehart info or moments. Also we both almost died on may 31st (Met Gala selfie anyone??) so if that didn’t bond us idk what would. Anyways, Amber your an A+ human being and an even better friend ily. 

@itsnotoktohit: I first spoke to Shirin about a gifset I had made, where one of the gifs was broken and I messaged a few people to see if they could delete the broken set while I fixed it. Anyways, long story short, we ended up talking for a really long time about absolute nonsense (honestly a lot of our convos, except for SH related ones bc #facts) Shirin is literally one of the best motivators ever, she is constantly happy and appreciative of literally everything. Half the time I complain to her about things and just basically spurt a whole bunch of 1st world problems stories out and she never cares?? Also she nicknamed me google in the group chat and even tho I don’t think I deserve it, it was still a pretty great confidence booster honestly. Also her love and enthusiasm for SH and all things RD is absolutely amazing and I will cherish it and her forever. 

@bugheadlover101: Peyton, Peyton, Peyton, where do I even start? So the first contact we ever had was of her sending me a post about Cole wearing Lili’s sweater and honestly?? That’s the way to my heart fam. We’ve basically been messaging about RD and SH ever since. She’s somewhat new to the fandom but honestly that’s never stopped her. She’s fits in absolutely perfectly!! We had bonded quite quickly over our love of Sprousehart and it went from there! Peyton is always willing to dig up any old/new sh info to share even just really randomly it’ll pop up in your inbox and you’re just like ‘I came out here to have a good time and honestly I’m feeling so attacked right now’ bc it hits you in the feels and takes you a while to recover. I love her to bits, please never change.

@betty-cooper: Okay so Katie! The first proper interaction I remember having with Katie was actually a tumblr post. I had posted something along the lines of ‘Cole Sprouse, the one person physically unable to look unattractive’ and then Katie (of course) replied or reblogged it and said ‘I present to you Lili Reinhart’. I then amended my post bc ya’ll a girl can’t argue with that truth. The next interaction we had was actually me asking her for a link to the bughead discord. I saw her on my dash all the time and she seemed super lovely and nice so I figured she’d be a good person to approach about it (she was!!) She then helped me with sorting all of that craziness out (turns out I suck at firguring that site out lmao) and basically she’s just been a positive light that guides me ever since. If you didn’t already know, Katie is one of the most considerate, caring and generous people on the planet. She is always willing to help me with a photoshop question or answer ( hello?? GIF QUEEN right here). Also her writing is amazing too?? What can’t she do?? ANSWER: Nothing, she is perfect. Also we bonded over the fact that Lili in Law and Order is absolute golden acting and all the other movies of hers that are less well known. Also Katie, I quite possibly the nicest human being you will ever meet. She is always positive and happy and I really appreciate that. She always pops into my inbox when I least expect it and honestly that’s amazing because she always ends up reaching out before I even realise I need someone to talk to. Katie, you’re fantastic and an absolute gem of a person, ily.

@ccshbh: Nina! First off the first interaction I ever had with Nina was based off a comment that she had left on one of my fanfics. And honestly at that time I about died bc Nina is pure royalty in this fandom and I was pretty stunned that she had liked something of mine (nevermind when she followed me. I nearly passed out that day) The next few interactions were me asking if she knew of something or could help me with finding a fic (sidenote: It was the fic where Cole tries to sneak out of Lili and Madelaine’s shared apartment, which is by far one of the best fics to grace the planet also that fic is pure canon don’t @me) Also literally allll of her fics are amazing and you should definitely read them.  Also her “Idiot...oh, but my idiot” tag on a gifset I made, basically made my day and stemmed a whole other gifset too. Also she is literally the most inclusive person in the entire world and my tumblr life got like 1000x better when you added me to the group chat! Bc I felt like I had friends on here!! Nina is basically a walking bible when it comes to anything and she always knows what she’s talking about! She’s also a super caring friend and is constantly checking in with me when I get bad anons or whatever and I really appreciate it!! I got tagged in this thing twice!!

Rules: answer the 10/11 questions given to you by the person who tagged you, and then write your own 10/11 questions and tag 10/11 people to answer them.

For my first set of questions, I was tagged by @isaac-lacey

1: Do you listen to music while writing?

Yup, I generally put a playlist on or put all my music on shuffle, I’ll generally listen to some classics, or some real feel-good music and songs I really enjoy or haven’t heard for a while.

2: your favorite character from any of your work?

Probably Delian//Nolan (I’m rewriting and the names have all been changed). He’s very….. interesting. Either that or Tysh//Delilah she’s just sort of awesome to write about, plus I relate to her with dysphoria and trans issues and etc.

3: Eat anything while writing?

Eh. I don’t really eat much any time? So no.

4: Drink anything while writing?

LOTS AND LOTS OF COFEE (generally made by the cute bakery boy next door)

5: do you multi-task while writing?

Not really. I mean sometimes I’ll use it as like a break from assignments when I’m really busy, and sort of write a bit every time I finish a part of whatever I’m doing.

6: outlining or no?

Oh man, I used to do like a really basic outline. Like, really basic. I had a piece of paper with dot points on it that vaguely outlined the plot and I’d just go from there. But with my last two WIP I started doing chapter outlines and detailed character profiles and etc, and for the one I’m working on now, my outlining is so thorough and detailed that I didn’t actually start writing for a month or two since I started planning it. I actually did proper research and got betas and stuff this time, and although it was frustrating because I just wanted to start writing, it’s made my writing better.

7: your current MC’s favorite song?

Grace (//Zalla in the original) really like Africa by Toto, but she also loves Sweet Child O’ Mine, Don’t Stop Believing, and a lot of Bon Jovi. But she also really loves stuff like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry and stuff, her music taste is kind of all over the place, but her favorite song would probably definitely be Africa.

8: Do you write in 3rd or 1st person?

I vary, but I like both of them. First person is good when you’re focusing specifically on one character, and you want the audience to see the story through that characters eyes, but third person is really great when you want to focus on more than one character and give an overall perspective.

9: how old is your current MC?

Grace is 17.

10: would your current MC brutally torture and murder someone if it would save their best friend?

Sadly, no (that’d be fun to write). Grace just wouldn’t be able to handle it, I mean the poor girl was abused for a year and a half by her boyfriend. Her confidence was stripped away but Ash, and even when she started to get better she still can’t handle violence very well.

11: if you met your MC what would you say first?

I’d probably hug her and tell her it’s okay, Ash will soon be brutally murdered by an unknown attacker and you will get pretty magic powers :)))

1: Do any of your OC’s enjoy nature documentaries?

Ooooh I feel like Nolan would probably enjoy those a fair bit, and possibly Smith too.

2: when you come up with something, what comes first; the world, a character, or the plot?

The plot, or at least a vague idea of it. Then I figure out which sort of characters I’d need (as in, their basic responsibility in the plot), and then give them names and start filling out the plot and the characters, and generally I’ll figure out the setting/worldbuilding after that.

3: Are your OC’s any good at any arts and crafts?

Grace wanted to be a teacher, a zookeeper, a dancer or a hairdresser, and she has a part-time job helping out at a hair salon, doing stuff like cleaning and etc and occasionally helping out with dyeing hair + stuff and learning from the hairdressers.

Well the original was set in some weird country I can’t remember the name of and everyone had magic powers and it was weird, but the rewrite is just set in like a fairly big rural town/micro city in Australia in the modern day so I mean it wouldn’t be much different from my life now except that some of the people have magic powers and there’s a few murderers on the loose (nothing out of the ordinary lmao).
