Every time he jumped, he saw their bodies. He thought what if this time I don't make it.

Bruce tried to train it out of him. In the cave, safely above the blue mats spread below, Bruce told him,

"If you question your actions, they're more likely to fail. You'll make the jump because you believe you'll make the jump."

So he stopped telling Bruce about it. Just like the nightmares, the fears, the memories of Haly's. Shoved in a box in the back of his mind.

When he climbed into Bruce's bed the first time, Bruce had looked at him evenly and said,

"Tell me why this is okay. Walk me through your logic."

Because who else am I supposed to do this with?

"Because this is no more dangerous than jumping off the roof of Wayne Enterprises."

He was ripped in half. One of him flipped over the Riddler, landing on a goon's shoulders. One of him slipped between Bruce's legs, arms braced on the headboard.

Because no one else can know about any of it.

No one wanted to know what happened in Gotham. No one wanted to see the images of the Ice Princess with a bullet in her head. No one wanted to know what moral failings Bruce Wayne had. No one knew him enough to care.

Because every time you see a gun, you see their bodies.

Okay so in my MLB yuri AU I think I'm gonna like end it after Gabriel realizes that using the butterfly miraculous isn't a healthy way to help his grief. Like after a bit he returns it to Master Fu and decides to actually cope for the sake of his daughter. I know, "Gabriel bad" but in my AU I kinda wanted to make him a sympathetic villain that is clearly in the wrong yknow? Like he has fun with making villain designs since he's a fashion designer but deep down feels immense guilt for causing harm to others just to bring back his dead wife. As the story goes on the more guilt builds up and sure enough he confides in Adrienne that he is indeed Hawkmoth and of course that puts a lot of stress on her knowing her dad was causing harm (albeit temporary since it gets fixed at the end of every fight) to not only her new friends (and later gf) but random people who aren't involved.

Also, instead of the "Miraculous Ladybugs" fixing everything it's more like a combined ability that both The Black cat and Ladybug have when they both use their power in harmony or something like that. (Still figuring it out) Also I'm thinking of focusing their powers more on balance. Like, if they're in an argument then their powers get weaker or their luck gets significantly worse and if they're chill then they work normally. (Also if like idk they're extra in love that day their powers work especially well or something like that)

I remember being SOO jealous of the rich artists for being able to afford Copic until I realized that I barely use markers for art and these ones weren't all that special. Ohuhu and Caliart are way more affordable and are just the same if not better than Copic so this had to be orchestrated or something.

For reasons known only to adolescent girls my friend Kate and I started communicating with extremely loud calls of, “Ka-kaw!” at some point during high school.

When trying to locate each other on the quad in lieu of cell phones we made do with good old fashioned screeching. The first call was always a lower tone. When one of us heard the cry we’d immediately echo it back at a higher pitch like dinosaurs playing Marco Polo.

This was probably obnoxious for all our classmates but man did we zero in on each other right quick. It was great. I never had to look for her in a huge crowd I just had to unleash my lack of social decorum in sonic waves. My only defense was that we only used it for out of doors. We weren’t monsters.

It served us extremely well the one time we went skiing together. She was a newer skier and got off the ski lift before I did after a stroke of bad luck and poor planning on our parts. By the time I had my skis on the snow I couldn’t see her. Worried, I took off down the mountain, not spotting her.

I planted my skis when I realized I must have passed her somehow. She couldn’t have made the same time as me. I threw my head back and shrieked, “Ka-kaw!!”

The sound cut across the cold thin air, sharp and carrying. To my delight and the surprise of several snowboarders going past me there was an answering “Ka-kaw!!!” from further up the mountain, reverberating joyously.

I’ve had this turkey post pinged several times, I can only say that I’m glad my friend and I aren’t the only bird girls out there.

I do not care about the Kate Middleton conspiracy because I give a fig about the Royal Family, I care about the Kate Middleton conspiracy because it is a fascinating trainwreck from a PR standpoint which by itself is interesting because you'd think the Royal Family would be, you know, better at that sort of thing, and also because of the implications. There is clearly something going on that they do not want the British public to know because otherwise they'd just issue a vaguely optimistic statement like "the Princess of Wales is still recovering from a routine but extensive medical procedure, thanks everyone for the well wishes she looks forward to returning to her duties" or whatnot. The fact that they're putting out badly photoshopped images and then blaming her for it (literally anyone could have written that tweet!) is so intriguing. My feeling is that they are desperate to maintain an appearance of stability and like, health, because Charles' prognosis is worse than they're letting on and it's very clear that the British public is not going to react well to having to pay for another funeral (of a monarch much less popular than Lizzie was) and coronation. I am pretty sure that the resolution of this whole shebang is going to be super boring but in the meantime they are blatantly mishandling the whole situation

I’ve been reading a lot of Bishova fanfiction lately, and I love all the different takes on how good/bad they both are at flirting. Every different dynamic is so much fun, but I think I’ve finally figured out my own headcanon on the matter.

Does Kate have confidence? Absolutely. Is she smooth? Absolutely not. I think she gets by mainly with her charm and cheesy pickup lines, which are more than enough for Yelena.

Yelena, on the other hand, is very smooth- but only when she’s not trying to be. I think she’s the kind of person who makes everyone think she’s flirting with them without even realizing it, but as soon as she actually tries to flirt with Kate she can only say the most awkward thing.

Ava, Bob, and John have all thought she was flirting with them on at least one occasion (all parties were equally disturbed at the thought), and Kate has asked her numerous times if something happened or if she did something wrong, because “you’re acting weird, Yelena.”

Yelena just blushes and goes quiet, which only confuses Kate more
