I really appreciate your analyses of Kyra and her relationship with Kassandra. Something that’s been frustrating to me in video game fandom is that even if you’re lucky and get a compelling female main character, the chances of any potential female love interest also getting a fair shake in canon is very low (looking at you Lara Croft/Sam Nishimura… 🙃). Therefore, any deeper dive into the love interest in fic is always HIGHLY appreciated. I’m also curious: what is your opinion on Daphnae and Aspasia, and their respective potential romances with Kassandra?

(Before I answer your question, I must admit that I'm no multishipper. I trip face-first into a ship and cling to it for dear life until I tire of it. But that doesn't mean I can't opine on demand.)

Daphnae, Daphnae, Daphnae. So devoted to her goddess. So fucking unHiNgEd. "Go run around Hellas killing big beasties to prove your love worthiness as my opponent." After the first couple of pelts Daphnae had to have known that Kassandra was going to be the one. I respect a woman with a death wish.

Artemis is the goddess of young girls and maidenhood, of wild lands and wild beasts. But a young woman's freedom comes to an end in marriage, to a stranger she's only just met and had no time to love, with whom she's expected to bear children that she will of course love with all her being, but at what cost...

What I mean to say is I think this storyline is the first and only time Kassandra is a metaphor for marriage.

Now let's talk about Aspasia as a love interest for Kassandra. Kasspasia fans avert your eyes! And people who haven't played the main AC:O storyline and don't want to be spoiled. Scroll away!

Kasspasia is my NOTP. I can see Aspasia seducing an unsuspecting Kassandra. I can see how that would be delicious in a soap opera kind of way. (Such a tragic reveal!) But what I can't see is Kassandra letting Aspasia live after finding out the true identity of the Ghost, not after saying:

"I will not stop until every last Cultist has met my spear. You will be erased from history. I will erase you."

No matter how silky it is between Aspasia's sheets, the idea that Kassandra would forgive her for being the Ghost just does not compute. My big logic brain can't accept it in any circumstance, not when there's an equally compelling, educated, intensely charismatic woman over on the Silver Islands waiting to be wooed, a woman who, most importantly, is not a member of the Cult.

That said, I might be interested in an AU where deimos!Kassandra and Aspasia get it on in their secret villain lair. Someone write me that fic.

favorite platonic/familial relationships: i get why we didn't get to see it, but i wish we had more (read: ANY) interactions between kass and deimos/alexios in the good ending. there's so much potential there for growing together and healing from their past traumas and learning how to function around each other or how to be a family after everything they've gone through... but then again i can see how that sort of relationship growth really doesn't lend itself well to odyssey's overall game format and ubisoft would probably have botched it anyway

a headcanon that is popular in the fandom but that i disagree with: fuck idk i feel like odyssey fandom is so dead i don't even remember what there is to disagree about!

maybe it’s not a murder but a recovery of a precious family secret that was stolen and is being held for ransom(i’m actually really liking that idea...)

this idea is 100% because i saw some fanart of them in some noir-esque clothes and was just like YES

Oliviza firefighter AU (been talking bout this one for a while)

Olivier is a station chief in Central

she also has an undercut and almost exclusively wears tank tops(because sleeves are bullshit)

Riza is a police lieutenant(her rank still up in the air, but it’s 100% possible for Riza especially to climb to that rank by her age)

Riza is investigating a series of arsons around town, she hits a dead end and comes to ask Olivier for her help

Roy and the gang have a private investigating group that specializes in fires and arsons(they get most of their work investigating insurance claims)

BACKSTORY ALERT

Riza and Roy grew up in a cult that worshiped fire, lead by Bertholde

Bertholde recruited Roy, who was already a firebug, to be his successor(and intended him to marry Riza)

Roy and Riza escape the cult and they process their trauma threw their respective ways of helping others

Olivier hates Roy because she has, personally, had to put out many fires he started

it’s also HIGHLY SUSPECTED(but never proven) that Roy killed the members of the cult by means of their precious fire, so Olivier absolutely does not trust him

these arsons force everyone to work together to find the culprit before he/she starts killing people with the fires

desk sex absolutely happens

possibly shower sex

this story has a LOT of really amazing things in it, but it is a bit beyond me as a writer

mystery/riddle plots are NOT my forte, but we’ll give it a shot one day

i’ll give you another, because i forgot about it and at this point i will NEVER write it.

Bering and Wells (WH13, with some Buffy crossover)

this one has two timelines in it, which is ridiculously ambitious of my brain

modern timeline has Myka and HG trying to hunt down the Marquis de Sade’s straight razor before...well, you can guess

past timeline has Victorian!HG hunting after the same artifact in London, specifically Whitechapel, 1888 (google if you don’t recognize off the top of your head, you’ll understand)

HG manages to track the razor to the possession of a dashing man named Angelus, his paramour, and companions

little bit of Victorian!HG/Darla

modern HG has to process some Things and Feelings regarding her past and the artifact that she allowed to slip away because of her naivete and letting herself be a little bit seduced by Darla
