Supergirl: Courageous Heart by Jade Gretz

Supergirl soared high above the glittering expanse of the ocean, her keen eyes scanning the horizon for any signs of disturbance. The sea was deceptively calm, the waves gently lapping against the shore as if they held no secrets. But Kara Zor-El, known to the world as Supergirl, knew better. Reports had been flooding in about a monstrous sea creature rising from the depths, a beast of unimaginable size and power, threatening coastal cities and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

Her heart pounded with a mix of anticipation and dread as she flew further out to sea. The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a golden glow over the water. It was in this eerie twilight that she spotted it. A massive, dark shape moving just beneath the surface, so large it seemed to blot out the sun's reflection on the waves.

Taking a deep breath, Supergirl descended, her cape billowing behind her as she approached the water. Suddenly, the creature erupted from the depths, its colossal form rising high into the sky. Water cascaded off its scaled body, and its roar echoed across the ocean, a sound so deep and powerful it sent shockwaves through the water and air alike.

The beast was unlike anything she had ever seen. Its eyes glowed with a malevolent intelligence, and its mouth was filled with rows of razor-sharp teeth, each as long as a man. Tentacles writhed from its sides, each capable of smashing buildings with a single swipe. The creature's sheer size dwarfed even the largest skyscrapers, making Supergirl feel small in comparison.

But she was not one to be easily intimidated. Gritting her teeth, Supergirl flew directly at the beast, her fists outstretched. She struck its massive jaw with all her might, the impact resonating like a thunderclap. The creature roared in pain and fury, lashing out with one of its enormous tentacles. Supergirl dodged, her agility allowing her to avoid the deadly blow by mere inches.

Calm before the storm.

Though the Flash film was more cringe and the overusing of cheapish effects, it still has elements that were enjoyable. Like Sasha Calle’s alternate universe portrayal of Kara Zor-El. So, here is a simple image of Supergirl taking the deep breath before plunging into the raging battle for earth. Enjoy!

With all of James Gunn’s announcements for the DCU going forward, I thought I would throw this out in the hopes we might see something like things going forward.

I mean we have both a Lanterns series and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow film coming so the groundwork is already there.

Who is Kara DC Supergirl Powers and Weaknesses Explained – Popgeek

Unlike the old Supergirl version, who is Superman’s cousin and co-exists as the last children of Krypton in the DC universe, The Flash Supergirl Kara is an imprisoned Kryptonian who comes from an alternate universe to fight General Zod and helps Barry Allen and Batman protect Earth. As she appears in The Flash Super Bowl trailer, Barry Allen says it’s not Clark, which suggests that Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel doesn’t exist in The Flash Universe or possibly he is dead. Interestingly Sasha Calle’s Kara DC character looks much similar to Henry Cavill’s Batman, so it's precise this supergirl is related to superman, but exactly how is not certain yet. And what intrigues us most is her appearance, which is completely different from what we have read about Kara Zor El in DC comics.

Whispers in the Void: Supergirl’s Descent into Argo City

Supergirl hovered above the desolate wasteland that had once been her home. The ruins of Argo City lay scattered across the barren landscape, the remnants of a world long lost. The sun of Earth cast a dim light over the broken structures, casting eerie shadows that seemed to dance and writhe with a life of their own. Supergirl’s heart ached as she took in the sight, memories flooding her mind—memories of a time when this city had thrived, filled with the laughter and warmth of her people.

But now, all that remained was silence. The air was thick with the weight of loss, and a deep, unnatural cold seeped into her bones, making her shiver despite her Kryptonian resilience. She had returned to Argo City on a mission of closure, to confront the ghosts of her past and finally lay to rest the pain that had haunted her since the destruction of her home. Yet, as she descended into the heart of the ruins, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong.

Supergirl landed gently on what had once been the central plaza of Argo City, her boots crunching against the brittle, dust-covered ground. The structures that had once stood tall and proud were now crumbling, their walls cracked and worn by time. But it wasn’t just the passage of years that had reduced her home to this state. There was a malevolent energy in the air, a presence that lurked just beyond the edge of perception.

As she walked through the ruins, her senses on high alert, Supergirl heard a faint sound—an echoing whisper that seemed to come from all around her. She stopped, her heart pounding in her chest, as the whispers grew louder, more distinct. They were voices, soft and mournful, calling her name.

“Kara… Kara…”

Supergirl’s breath caught in her throat as she recognized the voices. They were the voices of her family, her friends, the people she had loved and lost. But how could that be? They were gone, their lives extinguished in the cataclysm that had destroyed Argo City. And yet, here they were, calling out to her from the shadows.
