…Someone sent me an ask about my last Karate Kid Post, talking 'bout how Daniel didn't pull Johnny inside his costume to kiss him but rather to beat him up (he did both, actually! There's a little kiss on Johnny's cheek if you squint!) so I'm “redeeming” myself today, who cheered? 🍷

Johnny taking a deep breath: OK so let's recap, what was just suppose to be a day away from home, turns into you meeting a long lost acquaintance of Mr Miyagi, your life being endangered again do to karate, and you adopting another kid and him becoming your student. Is that what your telling me happened to you while you were gone for a week!

Daniel smiling: Yeah Johnny I think that's it.

Johnny starts pacing annoyed: OK seriously, like what is your life Larusso?! Because this is ridiculous.

Daniel stepping in front of Johnny really close and comfortable, a really happy smile on his face, wrapping his arms around his neck: Not so much fun being on the other side of this, constantly watching someone you care about doing reckless crazy stupid stuff? Is it Johnny?

Johnny won't ever admit it but he does his version of pouting: OK yeah fine, maybe you have a point. Is the boy at least a good student?

Daniel: He's really good, could give the other kids a run for their money.

Johnny finally notices what Daniel is wearing and his hair, runs his fingers through it to mess it up more: It's nice to see you in something besides a suit for once Larusso.

Daniel smiles and kisses Johnny: I miss you too Johnny.

Alr Lawrusso fandom I got a bone to pick with yall. I’ve read many a fic and one constant theme or details that I see everywhere especially in the 1980 fics is where they describe Daniel as “Doe eyed” or having “Wide brown eyes.” And then continue to describe him as weak and small compared to Johnny YALL. HE IS NAWT A HELPLESS BABY DEER????

Especially the visuals with him being really small and tiny, sure he’s scrawny but like dude, he’s literally practicing a martial art, he’s strong???

Like yall I love ur fics but please im begging write Daniel as a normal teen boy😭😭.

I mean NO hate at ALL I love and even have a lot of these in my faves with the same problem.

I think Johnny in all his blonde simplicity needs a full length and detailed fic about him and his original cobras. Can you imagine if Johnny still kept in touch with not only Bobby and the boys, but all the members of the original cobra kai? I mean there were many who were in the cobra kai when we see the movie. And assuming that everyone is still in California, everyone would know about Johnny; As the saying goes, once a cobra, always a cobra.

Johnny with a large community of cobras to turn to. and a Daniel increasingly alarmed by the number of people who let Johnny get away with his karate antics.

everyone would be like: "Johnny Lawrence reopened Cobra Kai and this Italian guy won't leave him alone? Let's teach him a lesson"

I also imagine Johnny wouldn't remember everyone, so he'd be oblivious to why so many guys are interested in him.

I'm sure Daniel would call this a conspiracy to drive him crazy.

In a perfect world where lawrusso is canon this would be the ending scene of the series. With a flashback to that day on the beach or Johnny giving Daniel the trophy.

I was watching Avatar: The Last Airbender after watching the first season of Cobra Kai for the third time and I had an epiphany.

Recently, like two weeks ago; I had an obsession with ninja turtles 2018, in AO3 I discovered a crossover of Avatar and Tmnt 2018, where each turtle corresponded to a nation. A spectacular story. the reason why I saw the avatar again.

So last night while trying to sleep; I thought, "Hey, Zuko and Johnny have a lot in common..."I couldn't help but keep thinking that's it.

First things first: they both come from toxic backgrounds because of the male father figure.

Second; They are obsessed with the past and its critical moment of misfortune.

third; their father figures marked them physically as well as psychologically. To then banish them from their safe place (In Johnny's case it was when he was expelled from Cobra Kai for getting second place)

Quarter; Its authority figures lived with their minds focused on war and conquest.

Ultimately, they both find honor as a way of life for them.

While thinking this, I also thought about the other rivals. Johnny with the fire nation, Daniel with the water tribe, Mike with the earth kingdom and chozen with the air nomads.

Each one represents the four elements, the good and the bad.

haha, Now I want to see a crossover between these two series.
