ᯤ is pretty good with a controller - he is nagi’s best friend, after all ᯤ he takes out his anger on the game. ramming into the other players’ vehicles, demolishing them mid-skirmish, pushing his own (bad) teammates out of the way to score goals ᯤ gets really good after a while and even starts streaming with nagi ᯤ as mentioned earlier he hates when the teammates he gets matched up with are really bad (that’s when the profanities come pouring out 🤗) ᯤ but he’s so good that he gets at least a five-point lead in every single game anyway ᯤ preferred game mode: classic 3v3, occasionally snow day (with the ice hockey puck)

ᯤ loathes the game with all his heart. his gaming reflexes are pretty decent but he thinks the game is stupid and an insult to soccer. (“you're never going to be able to play soccer with cars.”) ᯤ regularly challenges rin to 1v1s. rin never refuses and seeing his brother lose so spectacularly fuels sae’s ego ᯤ he got twitter and insta and tiktok just so he can clown the game. his angry rants on car soccer rack up hundreds of thousands of views in mere hours. rocket league reaches out to him for a sponsorship deal. sae’s manager makes him say yes. ᯤ preferred game mode: he hates the game, didn’t you know? if he had to choose though it would probably be classic 3v3. b-but it’s not like he likes it or anything!!

a/n: 95.7% of you guys voted for me to write it, so here I am. Sae might me ooc I’m sorry:’) this is my first time writing an actual fic so bear with me chat

The afternoon sun was mellow, casting a golden hue over the streets as you and Sae walked side by side, the world around you fading into the background. Your feet moved with no real thought, just a soft rhythm of steps in time with his. It was as if your body knew exactly what to do, without any input from your mind.

You had no idea where you were going, no idea how long you’d been walking, but somehow, you didn’t mind. Being with Sae made everything feel… effortless. Your mind had already switched off, and your body moved naturally beside him, like a quiet dance. Every little step, every breath, you were in sync.

Sae, as usual, was leading. You didn't mind that either. There was a sense of safety in it—the way he seemed to know exactly where to go, how to move. It was like he could predict the future. And you? You were perfectly content to let him take charge.

Your hand brushed against his once, twice, and you didn't even think to pull away. The contact was grounding, comforting, and with him so close, you felt completely at ease.

“Hmm…” Sae’s voice cut through the air lazily, breaking your tranquil autopilot state. “You’re really not even paying attention, huh?”

You blinked, trying to focus on him. “Huh?”

Sae glanced over at you, a small smirk on his face. “You almost walked straight into that post.”

You looked ahead, realizing you were about to smack your forehead into a signpost up ahead, oblivious to it until he mentioned it.

Before you could even react, Sae’s hand was already at your waist, pulling you closer with such nonchalance that it felt natural. You immediately felt the warmth of his touch, and without thinking, you relaxed further into him, a small sigh escaping your lips.

“See?” he murmured. “If I didn’t guide you, you’d be walking into every obstacle in sight.”

You laughed softly, feeling a little embarrassed, but there was no tension in the air. Sae didn’t seem annoyed or frustrated, just amused. He pulled you even closer, keeping you tucked safely against him as you continued walking, your steps slower now.

His hand remained on your side, an anchor that kept you from drifting too far into your own head, your body following his pace effortlessly.

“Is this how you always are when we’re together?” he asked, voice calm, but there was a curious edge to it.

You blinked again, unsure how to explain the strange calmness that washed over you whenever you were near him. “I… I think so. I just… feel really safe with you.”

Sae’s eyes softened for a fraction of a second, but it was gone before you could fully register it. He gave a slight chuckle, his grip tightening just a touch. “Safe, huh? That’s a first.”

You didn’t really know how to respond to that. It wasn’t like you’d ever had to say it out loud before. It was just how you felt around him. Every interaction, every step you took with him, was like this invisible safety net beneath you. You didn’t have to think, didn’t have to worry. You were allowed to just... exist.

“I guess it’s easy to relax when I don’t have to worry about running into things,” you said quietly, your voice almost teasing but without any real conviction. You didn’t need to worry. Sae had you.

He didn’t respond with words, but the way he shifted his hand to your back, guiding you further into his side, told you everything you needed to know. It was as if he was saying, “I’ve got you” without needing to say a word.

The two of you walked in silence for a while, and as you passed more obstacles, whether it was another signpost or someone else walking ahead, you never once felt the need to adjust your steps. Your body automatically shifted, your movements smooth and unthinking.

But Sae’s presence was ever there, the subtle guidance keeping you from harm. Every now and then, you felt the pressure of his hand on you, subtly guiding you to the left, the right, or just holding you closer when you got too close to something. It was gentle, but firm—like a quiet protector in the background, making sure nothing would disrupt your peaceful, autopilot state.

Eventually, you reached a quieter part of the park, and Saé finally allowed the both of you to slow down. He stopped for a moment and let you rest against a tree, the shade cool against your skin.

“Sometimes, I wonder if I’ll ever get you to stop following me,” he said lightly, though there was something more tender in his tone now. He stood close, looking down at you.

You looked up at him, a little dazed from how effortlessly your body had followed his movements. “I don’t know if I’d want to.”

His lips curled slightly. “Yeah?”

You nodded, more relaxed than you had ever felt. “Yeah. When I’m with you, I don’t have to think. I just know... I’m safe.”

There was a brief pause before Sae chuckled, his eyes looking distant for just a moment. “ I wouldn’t mind you staying in my orbit for a while,” Sae had said, his gaze on you, not teasing but more... tender, if you could even describe it that way.

As you both stood there, your body still in that lazy autopilot state, it became clear that you didn’t need to think to feel at ease.

Your chest tightened, a surge of warmth flooding your body. The words took a moment to sink in, and once they did, the overwhelming feeling of affection bubbled up inside you. You squeezed your eyes shut, letting out an eek of surprise. “Oh my god,” you muttered, flustered, unable to process how much you were suddenly feeling. "Sae, please… give me a break."

He smirked, his usual cocky grin creeping back onto his lips, but there was something that made your heart skip. “What now? You’re not usually so shy.”

“I—I just—” You stammered, feeling your face grow impossibly warmer as the weight of his attention seemed to press against you from all sides. It was as if he’d pulled you out of your autopilot mode and suddenly, you were hyper-aware of every little detail, every small movement, every brush of his hand. “I just… can’t—!”

Sae took a small step toward you, his eyes glinting with amusement. “Can’t what?”

Your breath hitched, and the words tumbled out before you could stop them. “Can’t… handle how much I like you.” You winced at your own outburst, the confession slipping out too quickly. It was like your body had completely forgotten to filter what your heart was screaming.

But then he was so close, and his hand was gently brushing against yours. The proximity made you squeak, hands fidgeting nervously at your sides.

Sae chuckled, the sound rich and warm. “You’re cute when you’re flustered,” he said, his voice low as he casually closed the distance between you two. His hand moved to your shoulder, giving you a little nudge, his touch now comfortable, but with the intensity of his attention making you feel like you were floating. “You’ve been orbiting me this whole time, haven’t you? Guess it’s my turn to pull you closer.”

You let out another small, high-pitched eek, looking up at him with wide eyes. The sudden warmth of his hand on your shoulder, the way his presence surrounded you, made your heart race. “Sae, please… I don’t—” Your words failed you, and you could only manage a breathless laugh, feeling like you might just melt from all the affection overload.

Before you knew it, Sae was standing right in front of you, his hands gently cupping your face with such ease, like it was the most natural thing in the world. You blinked up at him, feeling your chest tighten, and he gave you that soft smile again, his thumb brushing across your cheek.

“Shh,” he murmured, the playful glint in his eyes now softened with something deeper. “No need to say anything. I can tell how much you like me.” He leaned in closer, his forehead resting against yours for a brief, intimate moment. “I don’t mind this at all, you know?”

Your heart skipped a beat. “I—I really like you, Sae,” you breathed, feeling utterly consumed by the moment. It was as if everything around you had faded away, leaving just the two of you, locked in this orbit.

1# Karasu

I LOVE KARASU SO MUCH!!! I really like his character construction (just hate that he was nerfed) and is the only character in bllk (except for Bachira) that I could relate with

I love his design and symbology w crows, and him acknowledging his flaws (in egoist bible) and wanting to improve is soooo sweet ♡♡♡

He's also second most gentleman :)

2# Kurona

For me Kurona has one of the best designs in the whole manga! He's an enby (I mean, look at him) with shark like teeth that repeats his last words! There is something better than that? No!

He's also just a sweetheart and him, Hiori and Isagi are my current fav trio! People should give him more love and attention ♡

3# Niko

As you can see i only like the underrated characters :((

I really, really like his character construction, the way he evolves during Blue Lock is amazing. Aside of Isagi, I think that Niko was the one with most changes during the manga. He found his place in defense and he's been incredible at it!

Even though his design is not my favorite I really like his metaphor with "the eyes are the window of the soul"! He's so cool!

4# Shidou

I feel like the fandom really messed him up, cause Shidou is actually a very interesting character (I'm quite curious for his backstory). Behind that tough personality we have a character that enjoys art and has really philosophical quotes (specially in the egoist bible).

Obviously, I know his really difficult (I mean, third in least gentleman), but I find him really cool as a character.

5# Gagamaru

Gagamaru is an icon! Bro, that dude lives in the fucking mountains, who the hell found him?! I find his playstyle very unique and his evolution to becoming a goalkeeper is super cool!

I also find his design very funny, his low quality scenes always making me laugh!! Definitely a character Kaneshiro made while drunk ksjsakdj!

Honorable mention (not 6# but I like them): Lavinho and Snuffy

As a brazilian I love having representation, but I think Lavinho is only good in his design, cause he doesn't really add anything to the NEL, he's just there, which makes me sad. I feel like Kaneshiro wasted him, but he's a great character.

As for Snuffy, he is just too perfect! He adds stuff to the narrative and I would say he's the best coach in the NEL arc! He's such a gentleman and the type of person I'd like to have around (he also reminds me of my old soccer coach)

Now, here is the only character I can actually admit that I dislike (I don't want to get crucified) and his rank in my hating list:

3# Sendou

He just pisses me off, his motivation is just... a disappointment. I didn't expect him to be the U20 striker, he's just so bad 😭😭

He looks like a straight boy in sixth grade that wants to be like CR7 and marry a Kardashian (very common in Brasil, trust me)

Isagi Yoichi

he’s a pool guy and here to play 

aquatic park are his fav and ofc he has to take you with him

He's a blushing mess when he sees you after changing up 

He doesn't know where to look he's scared to offense you 

He wants to be respectful, you're just too pretty for him to not look for time to time

He stutters a lot when he talks to you at first, which makes you chuckles a lot 

But he quickly get over it and just tell you a thousand times how pretty you are

He's just sweet and tell you how the color suit you or things like that

Nagi Seishiro

reo must have a pool lol

He just stay sitting by and watch you two play and swim 

Mostly you bc it doesn't happens a lot 

He's quiet I think, just checking you out and taking note that you have scars or stretch marks here and there

He wants to poke you so if you decide to take a break next to him, he'll poke your side and shoulder 

He compliments you as if it's nothing, kinda implying how much he watched like “the shape is nice” referring to your chest 

You can pull him into the water after that, he knows it will happen 

But he's ready to start a fight then but honestly he'll blush the second your chest is comes near him 

He likes it just so he can hug you to be honest 

He almost drown you by accident with his weight 

He's relatively simple minded (I love him)

Itoshi Sae

it happens quickly in your relationship honestly he loves the sea too much 

He's, in fact, normal about it 

But he has to admit that he likes it and it suits you well hihi

He's just a girl 

He's probably more annoying about wearing your sunscreen correctly 

He gladly helps to rub it on your back 

He enjoys the view - probably blush a little when you're not looking as well 

He side eyes people around, even kids (in a playful way obviously)

Karasu Tabito

He get the privilege to help you choose one for a future afternoon with your friends

He tries to not stare too much and just be helpful 

The tip of his ears are probably red on the first few one that you tried 

If he'll be honest, he would say he likes them all 

But he also know how you feel about your body and tries to be more critical so you won't feel insecure 

In the end he honestly wants to go with you at the pool or on the beach one day just to enjoy it as well

i was thinking maybe headcanons (or dabbles, whichever format you're more comfortable with!!!) of the blue lock boys falling for someone that's generally an anti-romantic. someone that's very hard to woo and doesn't reciprocate feelings immediately out of hesitation and fear of disappointment. for the characters, i was thinking the karasu yukki and otoya trio (separately) ‼‼ i hope my request isnt too bizarre or simple, byebye!!!

would definitely be a situation in he falls first and they fall a bit harder because both Reo and them did not want the relationship and they both had found it weird and didn't expect much

you would definitely be kinda cautious due to not wanting to let yourself get disappointed as you had always been taught because of being in the arranged marriage since you both had been younger when it was decided to benefit both families having always been made to be around each other the reminder of the impending doom you believe would be the marriage because of rumors you had heard since everyone in ur school thought that reo would be one of those rich kids who hop from girl to girl

HE WASNT bro genuinely wanted to be loyal even though both of you had a really rocky connection due to your parents

For chigiri Id think the two of you would meet due to you being their manager for the soccer club pre BLCK but also be kinda 50/50 since you had a bad experience with relationships prior that he had heard about through the team

He thought you hated him at first because he had tried to talk to you once during your first year. After all, he had somewhat noticed u looking at him sometimes during class and thought you were just shy or something, and when he was met with dead silence it was like "So yeah my name is Chigiri your Ln right?" And he was just met with blinks that felt very loud to him

like he was pretty an all but you did not wanna attempt anything at the moment due to you literally not wanting to go through the pain of seeing a breakup again or something

Does the dynamic remind me of kiyoko and tanaka but more toned down? yes but its also like the sun and the moon with being open with relationships because he's feeling more open about it like the sun is open to giving plants nutrients while ur moon isn't as open to it after chasing and chasing what u think will be good for u before deciding to not hope for anything anymore

for Karasu, I think it would be a mix of during the little break Bluelock had before the start of the egoist league arc and he met you while ur friends had caught the attention of Otoya and Aiku and he kinda was like oooo and got really interested in you

At first it was kinda the idea he wanted to chase the fact of you seeming like his type because of the pins on your bag he saw since he saw the same bands he liked on ur bag with little merch he assumed was from a concert

He was absolutely caught off guard because he was immediately met with what he thought was indifference because you didn’t want to let him get too close with knowing that his friends had a reputation for going girl to girl and you didn’t wanna get caught in that

In a way, a lot of it was because you didn’t wanna get hurt but it was also the idea you didn’t want to disappoint yourself if you got wrapped up in a situation with him because of how often football players have to travel for games but it wasn’t the fact he wasn’t attractive it was obvious he was just social but it’s a fact romantically you had to be wooed a bit harder than just some kind words and praise for little things from him

He understood that it wasn’t gonna be easy winning over your affection and he understood that and was willing to try harder if it meant getting a chance with you

let me say this man was actually down badly and willing to wait as long as possible to make sure you knew he had pure intentions

they remind me of like Rukia and Renji from bleach because they both can seem so grumpy and they both don't actually like each other but in reality they absolutely adore each other in private

KARASU is smooth with it, hand behind the passenger seat as he looks behind. has road rages actually, will not hesitate to honk people. hates it so much when he gets cut off. “WHERE’S YOUR FUCKING SIGNAL?!” honks x4‼️ got a crude crow car decal sticker on the rear window

KUNIGAMI is the designated driver but he’s a fast driver. i don’t think he realises the weight he puts on the accelerator is more than needed. is the go to if you’re out drunk and need someone to take you home safe or just need a ride in general. responsible 👍🏼

OTOYA still isn’t clear which way the car moves when he turns the steering wheel. spent a near 30 minutes directing him about the distance he should turn. outsider perspective is just you waving your arms about and him with the car going back and forth.

RIN would rather die than parallel park. attempts to drive past one when you pointed at the empty space. plays music so loud like you can feel the vibration as he drives past and for what. speeding ticket x1. his cars smells really good though very clean too.
