In honor of completing my fan fiction goal of reading ALL of @karama9 ‘s Arashikage fan fiction. I have drawn myself a chibi Tommy.

1 - I prefer writing oneshots since they’re easier to make up stories for and don’t require much in the way of thought processing. Better to save that energy for a novel imo

16 - I like rereading fics because the stories are just so damn good.

18 - ooh, that's a tough one...I'd say it's more character and plot-driven. the characters and their actions help flesh out the outline of a plot I have.

I know right??? One of my proudest achievements lol.

And, just saying, I'm pretty damn happy with the two Dads I gave him in the story too. One of them even ended up with a sequel, they're some of my favorite OCs ever (except for various OC Links and Zeldas I keep creating). All in all I'm way more happy with that story than I should be for something I rushed out on a self imposed deadline.

This is scientific proof that if Link and Zelda would hold hands, He-

the hero of hyrule, the princesses personal knight and slayer of hundreds and thousands of monsters, the guy who pulled the sword of devil's bane when he was a child-

Fic Recs - Expanding Hyrule Bingo!

If you're looking for some hot fresh recs that you may not have seen before, boy do I have the post for you!

For the last few days, I have been compiling answers for the @expanding-hyrule TBR Bingo Community Challenge! If this is the first time you're hearing of it, EH is a LoZ fandom project that intends to popularize a tag and create an archive for Original Legends, or LoZ fics, art, etc that create their own version of Hyrule, characters therein, and plot different from the canon games. The Bingo Challenge is a project to get people viewing and talking about more of these stories!

WIP ASK GAME

Rules: You are given a word - share one sentence/excerpt from your wip(s) that starts with each letter of that word!

Thank you @dchan87 @raccoonfiend95 @drsteggy and @karama9 for the tag! DEAL, LION, HELLO, and LINK were my words, so instead of posting a snippet from the next chapter of Captain Link Araki and the Harbinger of Destiny I'll post 12 sentences from the next two in no particular order and 5 from We Kiss in Shadows instead. Enjoy!

Captain Araki and the Harbinger of Destiny

D - Draped around Groose’s shoulders, flashes of the forest coming in and out of focus as they make a mad dash from the ruined temple.

E - Even after working through a series of parries and ripostes in the small space, the feeling lingers.

A - As she loosens it, the throbbing flares into sharp, stabbing pain.

L -  Link feels like a real cad when he sees tears shimmering in the corners of her eyes. (this sentence was written for my friend @daemosdaen)

L - “Link…you’re the chosen one…come to me…” The voice floats through the open door.

I - “It’s a beaut, Link.” Groose grins from ear to ear.

O - “Only one way to find out, Princess.”

N - Niko hovers in Link’s peripheral, gingerly holding his violin and bow.

L - Linebeck had seemed larger than life to young Link when he came striding down the gangplank with the tails of his navy blue greatcoat fluttering behind him.

I - If Groose weren't eyeing him like a hawk from where he leans against the mast, Link would stride across the deck and kiss her soundly.

N - Not even the churning of the King cutting through the water and snapping sails can settle the conflicting emotions, whirling like a maelstrom inside him.

K - Knocking mugs of grog together, the remaining crew stomp their feet and begin singing along.

We Kiss in Shadows

H - His keen ears perked up at the small sound and he swiveled his head in her direction.

E - Exhaustion followed soon after, and despite their differences, she gratefully took the arm he offered her as they walked back toward the castle.

L - Looking past Shad’s shoulder, Zelda thought she saw a shadowy form standing behind a goddess statue, but the dance had her turning away before she could get a better look.

L - “Link always spoke of you fondly.”

O - Once the blood has ceased pounding in her ears, she feels more at ease, and breathes a silent sigh of relief.

Expaning Hyrule Bingo!

Expanding Hyrule Bingo Card!

I've been studying for an exam a lot recently, so I didn't think I'd be able to participate fully, until I realized. Hey. I've already read a bunch of these. Nifty.

I'm insane about this comic I'm crazy I'm crazy I'm crazy!!!!! I've been following it for around five years now and I'll never get enough of Link and Ganondorf just goofing off. On my hands and knees begging people to read this please it's so underrated. probably THE best characterization of Ganondorf I've seen in a long-running comic I'm dead serious he's great-- the perfect mix of pretty awful but has a begrudging respect for link (finally. after years...) The Beedle gags...Cia and Lana being silly lil sisters...

I started reading because I was interested in Link's personality and I haven't been disappointed. He's pretty cool! I like that he's already an experienced adventurer and honestly I'd read a bunch of chapters of him and Zelda just chilling because they're neat. I haven't read enough to fully understand the plot besides, well, spoilers, so there's plenty of mysteries to be solved still.

Really like the vibes here, as I have said, and Endeavor, because who wouldn't. The adventure has been progressing at a nice pace and I'm enjoying the little bits of characterization I've been picking up on in the dungeons. They really do feel very nicely done, and seeing as dungeons are tricky to make interesting I think this is impressive.

Link’s eyes widened when he saw where Gramps was hiding: the crumbling building had probably once been a groundskeeper’s house, but it was so dilapidated that calling it a desperation shelter would have been generous.  

Gramps’ hideout was the about the same size as Link’s house, but the resemblance to something anyone might want to live in ended there: the windows were all broken, the glass gone and replaced with planks of wood or in one case, a large piece of fabric; the walls were literally crumbling with chunks of the exterior covering having fallen right off, some of it still sitting next to the walls they had once belonged to; there was no garden around the house to grow any food at all or even just to look nice, the building was surrounded by nothing but dry cracked earth; there was no well in sight, either; finally, plainly visible thanks to the hideout being located in a hollow from where Link stood, there were several holes in the roof.  

Link swallowed, suddenly extremely worried: this place was not fit to live in by any standard, and Gramps had been here, alone, for weeks. What if he’d caught whatever was running rampant in Kakariko before leaving? Or what if he was just sick with a normal illness? What if he had fallen at some point and broken something?
