Kinda shitting over here, tomorrow is the release of the first in our "9 Muses of the Arts" series, and marks the first all-original exclusive content for hellapinay.com!! What was originally conceived as a link up and shoot in Manila with @gingeeworld & @jodinand magically turned into an amazing project where I got to interview 8 diverse Pinay powerhouses who are killing it in the motherland and throughout the diaspora, obliterating stereotypes and helping shape Pilipinx culture. Inspired by the sculpture "Siyam na Diwata ng Sining/Nine Muses of the Arts" by Napolean Abueva at UP Diliman and goddess/tarot cards, this series re-envisions modern muses into "Diwata Cards" which can be pulled for words of advice to those looking for inspiration. This deck was previewed last week at the reopening of the Museo ng Makati, which has been revived by the amazing folks behind @fringemnl, @pineapplelabph, and @kapwastudio in partnership with the city of Manila. The synchronicities that happened while making this project have been spooky dope and getting to work with such amazing talent, from the hair and MUAs to the kapwatids at Pineapple Lab and of course Jodee was more than I could have ever asked for! I hope this series inspires you all as much as it's inspired me, and helps create even more links between creatives in the Philz and abroad💖 stay tuned (at Museo Ng Makati)
