- Him and Wukong have a sibling rivalry

- Felt incredibly guilty when Redson got trapped in a scroll because he was the one Redson came to when his parents were gone and thought he failed to protect him

- DBK and him have an awkward relationship given the whole "Attack on heaven" thing, but have been trying to find something to bond over for PIF

- Erlang and PIF are basically his older siblings, like they'd be the kind of siblings who'll pretend to give him an important task so he'll leave them alone and then immediately shut and lock the door as soon as he leaves the room, y'know?? He still hasn't forgiven them for that

- Likes the idea of hiking and stargazing but never has the time to do it since he's always working

- Feels guilty about being too mentally unwell to take care of Redson properly after DBK was sealed away when he was little but never knew how to make up for it so she just closed herself off instead which is why she's so cold with him

- Would sleep in a guest bedroom or on the couch for the first few years of DBK being sealed away because she couldn't handle being alone in such a big bed without him

- Follow up on the last HC, after she started sleeping in her and DBK's bed again Redson would sometimes come in in the middle of the night and sleep in bed with her so she felt less lonely but stopped after he turned 11-12 (or at least the Demon equivalent to that age cause he's like 500+)

- Does Redson's hair for him in the morning since he's always too tired to do it himself

- Use to style his hair like hers, with the little horns made of hair, at least until his real horns started growing in

- Her and Macaque are sworn siblings (I have no idea where this HC came from but I saw other people talking about it and thought it was cute)

- Sees Nezha as a younger brother

- Was outcast from her family after DBK started courting her, she was upset for a while but it was worth it

- Super long hair, like it reaches her thighs when it's fully down

- Master calligrapher, seriously her writing is so beautiful and neat

- When DBK was first freed, the first two or so weeks she would stay up as long as possibly and hold onto him so tight whenever she finally did fall asleep because she was scared she'd wake up and he'd be gone again

- Felt like she failed as a mother when she realized she missed Redson's first words, first steps, everything, because Nezha had to look after him while she mourned her husband

- Because her hair is long it's also very heavy, sometimes if her scalp is particularly sore from keeping it styled up in horns all day DBK will sit with her and brush her hair while she relaxes and watches TV or reads

- Cooks sometimes but isn't as good as DBK

- Has a terrible habit of hiding her emotions from her family (actually the entire Demon Bull Family struggles with this habit)

- Hates the feeling of ink on her skin, someone knocked over a bottle of writing ink in her hand once and she washed it for almost an hour straight to get rid of the feeling of it on her skin

- Exchanges recipes with Pigsy after getting to know eachother a bit at the beach, but they don't talk much outside of food related topics

- Once walked in on Redson and MK making out in Redsons room and promptly threw MK out the window (he was fine)

- Use to allow Wukong to take naps on his chest while they were still in the Brotherhood, mostly because Wukong would never stop and DBK eventually gave up on trying to get him to stop

- Got really emotional when he found out Redson got a nose ring to match with him (pretended not to care but started crying when he was alone)

- Keeps a photo of PiF and Redson with him at all times, it's not in great condition anymore because he was buried under the mountain with it, but it's too sentimental for him to replace it

- Will pick Redson up by the back of his shirt like a cat and drag him to bed if he's overworking himself

- Invited the Brotherhood to see Redson when he was first born; was disappointed when Azure, Peng and Yellowtusk never showed up

- Goes all out on him and PiF's anniversary to make up for the 500 anniversaries he missed (same with PIF and Redson's birthdays)

- Smells like dirt and regretful life choices (fr though he's been under a mountain for 500 years, that smell doesn't wash away easy after that long, Iron Fan surprisingly doesn't mind, but maybe she's just too happy that he's back to care enough about it)

- Loves spicy food but doesn't have as high a tolerance as Redson (still very high though, but I mean c'mon, Redson is literally a fire demon)

bored in class and missing you dearly, miles sighs to himself as he fiddles with a loose notebook page he tore from the notebook itself earlier–having leant you his favorite mechanical pencil, he can't really find the motivation to doodle, the back of his notebook already filled to the brim with sketches since he left his sketchbook at his locker.

he sighed again as the words of his teacher entered one ear and exited out of the other. he kept trying to focus, but he ended up fidgeting with the corners of the notebook page he tore–folding it here and there, creasing it in the process. he made a paper boat at first, then a crane, then with another piece of paper, he folded it into a horizontal sheet repeatedly and rolled it up. it crudely resembled a ring to him, and he smiled, remembering a line from a song you really like, and he kept unfolding the paper and refolding it until he found the right design.

he somehow was able to make an amateur paper ring without any tutorial, with just his hands and creativity to work with; it had a small, creased-looking heart on it that he kept trying to give shape to, which he thought to draw the kaomoji you always got reminded of him by. after class, he had wondered whether to give it to you or not, he was anxious if you'd even accept it since it looked pretty messy and amateurish–but nonetheless, what mattered was that he tried, he tried to put all his love for you in this small, trinket of a gift he made for you.

he approached you by the lockers and when you handed him his mechanical pencil back, he smiled and told you that it was a little funny you gave it back now, because now, he has something else to give to you. he shyly showed you the paper ring he made and, with a grin, told you that he tried to make out from scratch. he got a bit sheepish when he asked you if you'd take it, which worsened when you smiled back up at him and told him it was beautiful.

"put it on me?" you asked him in a soft voice as you showed him the back of your hand, almost as if he were to slide that ring on you like it was gonna be your wedding day. that caught miles off guard and his eyes gotten even bigger, with his smile growing broader as his fluster caught up to him. he chuckled and nodded. "ah, sure, sure." he said as he took your hand in his and gently slid it on your middle finger by accident. you laughed aloud as miles fumbled to put it on the conventional ring finger, but you insisted on keeping it there.

"it's my favorite finger, if anyone's gonna ask me if i want anyone else..." you said as you jokingly tried to show him your adorable flip off with your ringed finger as miles stopped you and held your hand in his own with a chuckle. "oh, how adorable. a bit rude, but adorable." he said while you leaned over to kiss him on the cheek, shutting him up and soon making him stutter out something incoherent as you thanked him for the paper ring.

"n-no problem..." he said with a lopsided grin and a flustered face as you took his hand in yours and accompanied him through the bustling halls to his next class, feeling so lucky to have a guy who's expressive with his love for you in such innovative, creative ways that make you fall for him more and more.

eakksks I LOVE BANE. I decided to do Harley, John, Freeze, and Bane for this, but it has some mentions of Bruce, Riddler, and Catwoman :3

BANE :

Has a little question mark shaped brooche/tie pin he keeps. Especially after Riddlers death.

He thinks very highly about most of the pact members, mainly Harley. He sees her as capable, but that is mostly all. Loyalty can be rare with her, and he doesn't agree with anything she does.

He may be a criminal, but he cares for the people around him. Including his men. (unless they are proven unloyal..)

Has a soft spot for small animals, kittens specifically.

Most of his tattoos were done by himself, he learned how in Piña Duro Penitentiary.

HARLEY :

While she seems to make fun of everyone, Catwoman was one of the few people she trusted and thought of on a similar level.

She admires certain people for being more "collective" than her. Like Bruce for example, at some point she believes he isn't the mole, and says he "isn't as rotten as the rest of them"

Used to make jokes with her patients, and once got scolded for being too "un-serious"

Oswald tried to bribe her to let him free during her time in Arkham.

Finds interest in fashion design. Designed her clothes, and hand made them.

MR FREEZE :

He's slowly forgetting Nora's voice.

Dad jokes. John tried to joke around with him before, due to everyone else being very serious, and ended up having the worst jokes ever. John rarely spoke to him after that.

Hates clutter of any sort. Basically borderline OCD.. he gers mad at Bane for having a very crowded area at times.

Literally can't shower. He freaking stinks, so he'll spray cologne on his suit. If he ever took it off though it'd be deadly..

Can't remember anyone's names sometime. He either mixes them up or calls people a whole new name completely. He once called Harley, Hailey...??

JOHN DOE :

Can't match his clothes for shit. He thinks certain pieces matching make him look to "proper".. (though it also is a symbolism for how crazy he is)

Uses every text emoji possible. Including kaomojis. Will text using :3, :D, >_<, :), etc unironically.

Always texts Bruce the randomest stuff. Bruce doesn't want to mute his texts.. but he does think about it a lot.

Resorts to violence when someone doesn't agree with his opinion. Yet he sobs during movies for stupid reasons.

Posts fight videos he records on Twitter and Instagram. No one knows it's him except Bruce. Bruce only knows because he saw his fight with Willy on there.

🌸: During this spring season, with new beginnings blooming left and right, Leona learns about and enters the wonderful world of cosplay with his gn!reader S/O who is a cosplayer

🌸 The first time Leona saw you in cosplay, he did a double take. He’s not one to be surprised easily, but for a second, he thought that a whole new and random person broke into Ramshackle (that’s how good your cosplays are ;)).

🌸 He’s not into animes, Webtoons/webcomics, books, or any fandoms really. The only “fandoms” Leona’s even remotely a part of are those of Pro Magift teams, so he’s not familiar with cosplay. You have to explain to him all the cosplay terms, like “cosplan” (your future cosplay plans/projects), “costest” (testing out a cosplay), or even “con-crunching” (putting together your cosplay near the date of/or even the night before the convention).

🌸 Leona’s also not one to care about clothes much in general, but he knows the time and dedication you put into your cosplays…from the hours you spend putting together your cosplay to angling your phone camera just right when you film your cosplay videos.

🌸 If you’re trying to film a video in cosplay for TwstTok or Magicam either in your room in Ramshackle or Leona’s room in Savanaclaw (Leona’s room has better lighting tbh), Leona’s just laying on the bed on his stomach with his cheek resting in his palm as he gazes at you the entire time with a smirk.

🌸 He kept showering you with a ton of one-worded compliments such as “Breathtaking,” and positively relished seeing you break character while filming as a flustered expression creeped up onto your face at his compliments.

🌸 “Leona, can you please go outside for a few minutes?” you mumbled, your cheeks warming.

🌸 “I don’t wanna miss a second of your creative process,” Leona winked, to which you responded with a loving eye roll. He’s so down bad for you. Whenever you post your cosplay videos, he watches all your videos, likes them, and saves them on his private, never-active TwstTok account.

🌸 When you feel more comfortable with filming cosplay videos or doing self-photoshoots in cosplay around Leona, he becomes your cosplay partner-in-crime.

🌸 For example, fixing cosplay wigs are a pain and for a while, you didn’t have a wig mannequin (they’re expensive and Sage Island isn’t the best place geographically to receive online packages via shipping). Thus, you had the brilliant idea of using Leona as your wig model (even though his head shape and your head shape are completely different). He found cosplay wigs weird at first, until you asked him to try on one of your long and fluffy wigs, and the soft material of the wig made him fall in love with cosplay wigs right then and there.

🌸 “Just gimme a few minutes, herbivore,” Leona patted your cosplay wig on his head and laid down on his bed, out like a light and sleeping with his hands folded together on his stomach like a storybook princess. The flowy and wavy strands of your long wig fanned out around his shoulders and arms, and for a second, Leona really did look like one of those storybook princess cursed into eternal slumber. You couldn’t help but laugh, leaning down to kiss him on the forehead.

🌸 Cheka, on the other hand, likes to use your cosplay wigs as disguises of sorts whenever the cub plays hide-and-seek with Leona.

🌸 Your and Cheka’s giggles filled Leona’s room as Leona turned around from facing the stone wall after counting to ten with one hand over his eyes. “Sigh…ready or not, here I come,” Leona indulged his five-year-old nephew in a game of hide-and-seek.

🌸 It didn’t take long for Leona to spot Cheka crouching down next to his bedside table. The cub took one of your long cosplay wigs earlier and wore it; the wig comically and practically covered the cub from head-to-toe. You tried your best to stifle your laughter as you sat on the right side of Leona’s bed, sewing a button onto your cosplay.

🌸 “Gee, I wonder where the furball could be,” sarcasm oozed from Leona’s voice as he sauntered over to his study desk just a few feet away from his bed. “Is he over…here?” Leona clicked his tongue and made a show of ducking under the desk to check.

🌸 Cheka’s adorable laughter grew in volume, to which Leona turned towards you. Leona winked at you, lifting a finger to his lips, before walking over to you. “I just can’t seem to find my beloved nephew anywhere,” Leona sighed. He perched at the edge of his bed, making sure he didn’t sit on your cosplay. “Where could he be? Got any ideas, herbivore?”

🌸 “Beats me,” you hummed, looping thread through the button’s hole. You and Leona were planning to attend a spring anime convention in Sage Island the next day (your first anime convention in Twisted Wonderland and with Leona), so you were officially “con-crunching.”

🌸 “Hm…” Leona rose from the bed and made his way over to Cheka. “What’s this? A furball?” Leona leaned down and scooped Cheka up in his arms.

🌸 “Oji-tan, you found me!” Cheka squealed, your wig almost falling off the cub as Cheka moved the strands of your wig away from his tiny face to look at Leona.

🌸 “Uh-huh, now it’s time for your nap,” Leona gently took your wig off of Cheka’s head. As if on cue, the cub let out a cute yawn and closed his eyes. After tucking Cheka in on the left side of his bed where your cosplay materials were well out of Cheka’s reach, Leona went over to you and gave you back your cosplay wig.

🌸 “We should do a family cosplay with Cheka someday,” you shot a soft smile at Leona. Leona went over to his study desk and plopped down onto the wooden chair in front of it. He sat backwards so that he faced you.

🌸 “Yeah,” Leona hummed, watching you secure the button in place on your cosplay. For the rest of that spring afternoon, you continued to work on your cosplay while Leona helped by handing you more thread, scissors, glue, etc. as Cheka napped.

🌸 The next day, you and Leona attended the “con” (short for “convention”). The two of you were decked out in a couple cosplay (you as a plumber and Leona as a princess from a popular video game). Even though it was barely noon, Leona was already annoyed by the con attendees who pushed past him or almost stepped on his toes in their cosplay heels and boots. He was intrigued, however, by some cosplayers’ extravagant props, and he appreciated their craftsmanship.

🌸 Leona’s usually not one to strike up conversations with strangers, but when you complimented fellow cosplayers’ outfits and props, Leona also chimed in with questions on how they made their props (and that just led to the cosplayers’ enthusiastic and lengthy answers about the materials they used and Leona listened with interest the entire time).

🌸 Leona found the Artist Alley and merch booths to be too crowded, and nothing really piqued his interest. Leona bought some prints and keychains of your favorite anime characters and fandoms for you. Artists gave you and Leona a lot of mini freebies like stickers and gushed over “how cute” you and Leona looked together in your couple cosplay (which Leona would respond with a grin and, “You got that right”).

🌸 Leona also couldn’t help but quirk a proud grin when a little kid with cosplayer parents ran up to you and asked you for a picture because you and Leona “looked so cool.” You noticed that Leona posed in-character for the picture with you and the kid, which made you love Leona all the more.

🌸 Leona took a ton of pictures for you at the con, both cool and professional-looking photos of you in cosplay (you taught him how to take better pictures lol) and off-guard derpy photos of you in cosplay when the two of you rested a bit in a tiny corner (Leona grumped about the lack of resting/sitting areas in the venue) after traveling around the convention venue for hours.

🌸 Even though this was his first con, Leona came to the con prepared (“Be prepared” is his motto, after all). Leona had a bag on his shoulder the entire time with your sneakers in it because he knew those uncomfortable shoes you wore with your cosplay would hurt your feet (for Leona, underneath his cosplay, he wore his everyday sneakers). After you changed into your sneakers and the two of you took a water break, the two of you traveled around the con some more.

🌸 The two of you even ran into Idia and Ortho, the former carrying multiple bags of merch (fan art, official merch, body pillows, what have you). You and Leona didn’t chat with the Shroud brothers long, since Idia scurried away to catch a panel hosted by his favorite anime voice actor and Ortho flew after him.

🌸 You and Leona returned to the Artist Alley near closing time, where there were thankfully less people. At a booth that sold more general trinkets than fandom-specific ones, Leona picked up some stuff like a donut keychain for Ruggie and a succulent keychain for Jack, and some other keychains or charms for other members of his dorm. You smiled to yourself; Leona always thought about others even if he wasn’t the best at showing it outright.

🌸 The last booth you and Leona went up to was a booth selling inexpensive rings (both fandom-specific and general rings). You noticed a pair of matching rings with a slim gold band. The rings’ gems were transparent water-drop ovals with teeny dried-up blush, marigold, emerald, and ivory flower petals inside.

🌸 “Leona, what do you think about getting matching rings?” The ring would pair perfectly with your spring outfits, and the dried-up flower petals in the rings’ gems reminded you of one of your and Leona’s favorite places: NRC’s Botanical Garden.

🌸 “Not too shabby,” Leona grinned as he leaned down to look at the rings with you. “Plannin’ on proposing to me already, huh, herbivore?” Leona then made a show of looking at his left hand, which made you laugh. He liked the rings too, and didn’t care that they weren’t made of real gold.

🌸 “Wouldn’t be the first time someone’s proposed to their partner at a con,” The seller, a fae cosplaying a popular blonde spy character from an anime about spies and families, chuckled as they rang up your order.

🌸 Leona thought about the seller’s words as the two of you left the Artist Alley and ultimately the con after you bought the rings. As the two of you made your way through the venue to the exit, Leona thought about how he couldn’t imagine proposing to you or you proposing to him in front of hundreds of people at a con.

🌸 Leona knew himself well, and he knew two things at the moment: 1. He values his privacy and 2. If he was ever going to propose to you, which he planned to do so in the far, far future, it would be a private, intimate, and special moment for just the two of you.

🌸 Leona’s head then filled with thoughts of his proposal to you in the far, far future. He wondered what the two of you would wear during the proposal, whether it would be fancy clothes, pajamas, or even a couple cosplay. The quiet yet gushy smile on his face was apparent as he thought about all this.

🌸 “What’re you smiling about?” You smiled at Leona before unleashing a yawn. After a whole day at the con, you were ready for dinner and rest.

🌸 “Nothin’,” Leona replied with sly nonchalance. “Just that I like the rings you picked out for us.” He held out his right hand, where he wore his new ring on his right pinky.

🌸 You held out your left hand with your new ring on your left pinky before intertwining your left fingers with Leona’s right fingers. “I like them too.” The gems on your and Leona’s rings cast tiny rays of multi-colored light from the dried petals in front of the two of you as the sun began to set and its golden rays made their way through the glass building of the convention venue.

🌸 Hand in hand, you and Leona left your first (and definitely not last) con together.

As you delve deeper into the mysterious man that calls himself the Grim Reaper, you begin to wonder if fate brought you two together for a reason. When I first heard about this game, I was super happy! I've always loved how "Grim Reaper" characters were written in media. Plus, he has a little axolotl plushie! I knew this game was up my alley, and I'm so glad I discovered it.

First, I'd like to say — he's absolutely my type. Grim has his share of tsundere moments, which I love since tsunderes are my favourite. He's kind, and he's honest. I really love the balance in his character. He's edgy and grumpy, but also has a soft side. I think that's what drawn me into this game. Also, he had me SWOONING within the first 20 minutes. He's a natural at sweeping anyone off their feet.

It's also hard not to tease this man. His blush. That damned blush. His reactions to the teasing are really funny, and my god, his pouty blush is so cute. It really pulled at my heart strings.

I find it really precious that he's trying to learn how to communicate with humans. The kaomojis are definitely adorable. (Y'all, I wanted to say "slang", but I had no idea if that would make sense. I hope you understand what I meant either way.)

I really enjoyed the MC's options to tease him. Teasing about marriage? About going on a date? Even coming over to your place? It's in the options, and I love that. It made this game really enjoyable for me. It made it feel more realistic to me.

I find it really sweet when it comes to MC and Grim's dynamic. "You're annoying, but I like listening to you." or "I hate having company, but I enjoy yours." vibes. I really enjoy their grumpy/sunshine trope. The trope is one of my favourites, so I really enjoyed reading through their conversations. And man, I'd love to read more between them.

Customization Praise!

When I first saw the extensive customization options for the MC's appearance, pronouns, and even an biography that you can type, I was so excited.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy otomes that have a set MC, but it makes the game stand out more when you're able to customize something that is uniquely yours.

You can also change around the appearance of your living space, and even the music anytime within the game.

I really give the developers credit. They shaped the game in a way that everyone has a different experience.

You can easily make a self-insert of yourself, or even an OC of yours with the options available, and that to me is very important.

Protagonist Praise!

As stated above, I'm really glad the game allows for customization of the MC. Whether it be with how they look and appear, their personality, and even their name/profile picture in the chatroom.

The one thing that stood out to me is the options you have. I've played my fair share out of otomes through out the years, but this game really tops it when it comes to what YOU want the MC to say and convey.

You can be a tease, be sarcastic, or even a mix of both.

It really gives you a even a unique playthrough experience. So, each time you go through the game, you may have a different experience than the last.

Art and Character Design Praise!

I absolutely adore the art in this game. From the background stills to character design — I really love everything about it.

Grim's design is so jawdropping. He's the perfect balance of edgy, but cute. (Each of my playthroughs, I wanted his jacket so bad. It looks so comfortable and is very fashionable.) PLUS, he has white hair. White haired anime boys for the win. (Kinda wonder what he would look like with black hair, though.)

As someone who has issues with their visions and bright colours, it really didn't mess with my eyesight that much. So, I really appreciate that the colours are more toned down.

Overall Thoughts and Conclusion!

This is one of the best otomes I've played in quite a while. Hands down one of my top favourites.

Each ending is unique, and I love that about games.

I really appreciate that this game is free with an option to purchase DLCs. I'm really excited for the upcoming DLC for this game! You best believe I'm going to purchase it the moment it's released.

This game has brought me comfort. It's made me laugh in moments I haven't felt quite myself, and I really thank Two and A Half Studios for that.

You can tell the developers and their team put so much love and care into this, and I really think that's incredible.

So, if anyone is looking for a heartwarming, bittersweet, and funny game, I highly suggest playing through this and giving it a shot. You won't be disappointed. Plus, you get to have some lovable moments with the Grim Reaper. That's a 10/10 in my book. :)
