Some doodles based on this very hectic poll. I know I’m a little late, but I’m also on a trip up north rn.
A hint of AsaKanza because I haven’t drawn AC in a while, and I’d like to include the gal. That, and I got some encouragement from Luna to include Yukiko.
That, and because I be hella biased towards my favorites, as y’all should know by now :P

Ride 732: Buddies X 4!!

Pag 1
1: Eight people's gaze, they all have their eyes fixed on the Inter High!!

Pag 2
1: Pfui
2: Oii, Miki!
4: What are you looking aaat.... Mikiii
Wa-!
5: Kya- Aya-chan, you- you scared me!
Ohhhm you're hiding it!? What were you looking at while sighing....? Maybe a message from someone...?

Pag 3
1: It's everyone's number of laps in the training camp....
2: This year my brother is sending me the electric scoreboard data, so I can see them live. Now they've started the afternoon practice of the second day
Woah, it's true, there's so many numbers. But in that case don't hide and don't sigh
3: The subject and your reaction don't match, Miki
You're really a bicycle otaku, girl!!
4: Ah right, they're all at the training camp now
Yeah, in Shizuoka
5: No wonder I though that that lively red-head isn't here
7: The bike club isn't here

Pag 4
1: The corridors feel kinda lonely somehow
4: … yeah
5: But right now, they're running desperately
7: They're conscious of the remaining time
8: of this overwhelming journey
Their last...

Pag 5
1: The third years are looking towards their last Inter High

Pag 8
2: It's curious
3: We ran so many laps and the course is 5km long, and yet these eight people unexpectedly happen to be here at the same time
4: We're still in the middle of the second day, so we don't know what's going to happen, but... if we only talk about the number of laps
5: Then right now there are eight people in the lead!!
6: Or maybe
10: It's not really unexpected?

Pag 9
1: It's not!!
At least for us!!
3: Kaburagi and Danchiku jumped ahead!!
4: Kaburagi!!
5: Uh.... I heard about it but, consciuosly looking closely at it again.... re-really

Pag 10
1: Danchiku really has become huge!!
3: I got this bike that's the perfect size for me from Touji-san
5: What's... this... Danchiku's pressure....
6: It's so much higher than before!!

Pag 11
1: Right now you felt like “Danchiku's pressure has gotten stronger”, right? Sugimoto-san
3: It did get stronger
Honestly
4: Until now we've run more than 400km and his strength has certainly grown...
And it's conveyed 100% with that bike!! He's sure and confident!!
Do you know what that means, Sugimoto-san!?
5: The two of us simply chased Imaizumi-san and the others and ran so to not open the distance again
So, honestly, it was unexpected
Teh!!
6: Kaburagi-san and the others purpousely matched tehir paces with them!?

Pag 12
1: Kaburagi, Danchiku....!! As expected your target is...!!
2: 400km is a big enough distance that we could make up a special move!!
4: Go!! This is... Danchiku Special Move!!

Pag 13
1: Bamboo Hop Shot!!

Pag 14
1: He covered so much distance in an instant!!
2: That huge frame
4: He's accelerating by bending like a bamboo!!
7: That's right, this is the special technique that we made up during this training camp!!
Bamboo is flexible and elastic, and also....

Pag 15
1: Strong!!
2: Kuaaaaa

Pag 16
2: Sugimoto reacted alone to Danchiku's acceleration and caught up to them!!
4: As expected, that saves us time, Sugimoto-san
Yeah... the two of us have to go to the Inter High
5: Moreover, we can't play an active part if we don't get stronger in this training camp, and in order for him to fully recover from his slump and go to the Inter High

Pag 17
1: He has to defeat a human pillar like you, Sugimoto-san!!
3: Their target is Sugimoto!!
4: Huh, Sugimoto-kun!?
Sugimoto!!
5: Huh!?
Uh....
6: I want Danchiku to race you and gain back his confidence, and recover completely!!

Pag 18
1: You're speaking as if you're assuming I'll lose
2: Assuming? Well-
3: You're being too rude, Issa
Am I? But results are everything in this world
4: Sugimoto-san and...
Danchiku-san....
5: I mean, the fact that you've caught up now means you're “accepting”
6: Just a little more
Until the complete recovery!!
7: Aren't you cute?

Pag 19
1: My kouhai are recklessly in high spirit and want to practice with a more experienced senpai!!
Alright then!!
I'll let you
2: Come at me, second year Danchiku Ryuhou!!
Wa!! Thanks
Sugimoto-san!!

Pag 20
2: He accepted it and ran ahead!!
3: Sugimoto is leading!!
4: He's assertive!!
As expected!!
5: It's gonna be challenging, Danchiku!!
6: Ahh, one thing I forgot to say, is that Danchiku's special technique we came up with during this training camp... there's one more thing to it

Pag 21
1: It's called Bamboo Shout!!
2: I think you'll get to look closely at it later
4: By the way, Sugimoto-san
What about your special technique?
5: Ah...!! My self-awareness isn't that low that I didn't prepare for it!!

korosensei does this haunted house thing and makes class e go in it, the reader is really unamused so reader and karma work together to scare the crap out of korosensei
i've seen videos where people hide and reverse the roles in a haunted house instead of being a victim, i think it would be hilarious to see that with a stoic-ish reader and karma
Haunted - Karma x Reader // THIS THING DELETED TWICEE //
- End class had been completely transformed back into an abandoned looking building, much like its original state but with more of a horror factor. Korosensei went all out with Halloween decorations. He'd tried to set a few students up during the last school trip at the abandoned caves he called the "test of courage". It didn't work out, but second times a charm? He'd at least get one couple together this time.
The goal of today's "lecture" was to find a way out of the end class building without breaking any windows. Korosensei mentioned it would test everyone's problem solving abilities as assassins in training. First pair to successfully find the exit through a series of side quests, riddles and puzzles each got two free strikes at Korosensei's tentacles.
The catch? Everyone had a a rope tied around their wrist to a partner. Every move made meant your partner would be right beside you. You got stuck with Karma. You suspected it was not likely by coincidence.
Karma is very cute, but he's also the second worst classmate to be tied to. (First goes to Okajima)
“Karma will you stay still for one minute? You’re bruising my wrist!”
"I'm trying to reach the envelope on the ceiling, will you jump at the right time?"
"There's an easier way to do that."
You yanked the rope on him making him stumble over to you, you brought out a desk together and he was able to use it as a stool.
He opened the envelope and read it to you, "If you found this note go to teachers lounge to look for your next assignment.”
Hint: Keep your eyes out for something four-legged that cannot walk and has a back but no front.
You and Karma headed over to the designated location when you bumped into Rio and Okajima who looked like they wanted to kill one another.
Rios eyes softened when she looked at you. "[Name]! How's your search going?"
"Well we found a-"
Karma put his hand over your mouth before you could tell them about the note. He's not risking his win. "It's going boring, but we do need this room to ourselves, ya mind leaving?"
"Oh you want to be aloneee? Okajima get moving!"
Rio pushed him out the door. "Why couldn't I get stuck with Kanzaki..." "IM THE ONE WHO SHOULD BE COMPLAINING YOU..." Their argument got quieter as they left the area.
You looked back at Karma, "She definitely got the wrong idea."
"Yeah I wouldn't kiss you in this room."
You glared at him, "Solve the riddle before I choke you with the same rope we're tied to."
He mocking stuck his tongue out "Four legs, doesn't walk, it's obviously a chair [Name]! This is too easy."
He turned to get the envelope stuck under one of the chairs.
"Let's read it in the hall, the lights in this room are acting up."
You turned the handle but the door wouldn't budge. You started shaking the door harder hoping it would open. Karma chuckled, then he tried to open it himself and it wasn't so funny anymore.
"Do you think this is apart of the test or are we stuck?" You ask Karma.
He grinned "Change of plans, If Korosensei comes in here I'm going to need you to act possessed."
"I agree we've got to teach him a lesson on not playing Cupid or whatever but how do I do that?"
"Act crazy? Like you normally are but with more enthusiasm and growling."
You snatched the letter from him, "I'll read it."
Instructions: Close the blinds, then hold your partner's hands, chant your names in unison three times... the spirit you summon will lead you to the next step.
Holding Karmas hand while a spirit, Korosensei came to scare you two? It was clear He was trying to get you to cling onto the guy, you could only wonder how many classmates fell for one of his cheap tricks already?
Your question was quickly answered when you heard a girlish scream that sounded eerily like Maehara. Atleast one!
You chanted your names with your hands knitting together the lights completely went off in the room, you braced yourself for what would come.
Korosensei flew into the room and busted the door, you noticed his weird costume as he stood right in-front of you reciting cliche warrior dialogue you could've swore you heard in some movie Karma made you watch a week ago, Sonic Ninja something.
Without missing a beat you twisted your back and hands and started charging backwards towards your teacher, Karma had to crouch weirdly and run at the same time to not drag you down.
Korosensei sped out of the room yelling, about ten seconds later he was back with a set of candles and who knows what else to try to exorcise you.
By that time you and Karma were laughing trying to pick each other back up after you hit yourself on the ground because he stopped running and accidentally yanked you back.
Karma pointed down at Korosensei's wig which fell off when he flew out the class "Was he wearing a powdered wig?!"
Neither of you had noticed Korosensei made it back because of how much you were laughing. Karma ran his one free hand through your hair and face as if to check if you were hurt. It was weirdly gentle for how he usually is. He was casual about it, his confidence made moments like these feel completely natural and comfortable no matter how rare they were.
Maybe the haunted house didn't go exactly how Korosensei intended it to, but this was a sweet enough outcome.
"Nufufufu…"
"Korosenseiii, you ruined the moment!"
Karma laughed softly "That was a moment?"
You headed straight for the door.
"[Name] I'm still tied to you slow down!"
When you refused to listen he tugged back on the rope and wrapped his arms around you.
“Alright, I concede it was a little bit of a moment.”

last forever [11/13]
Summary: Zoro only offered to marry you to keep you out of an arranged marriage with a man much older than you. You agreed with the caveat of ending it via annulment once you received word from your parents regarding the original engagement, despite your growing feelings for your close friend.
Pairing: Zoro x Fem!reader, mentioned Sanami later (like epilogue later so chill)
Warnings: Marriage of Convenience, Fake Marriage, Creepy Older Dude, Mentioned Past Attempted Assault, Heavily Implied/Referenced Sex later on (NOTHING EXPLICIT)
Note: This is the one with the mentions of attempted assault in the past and reference to present relations. Again, SFW, nothing explicit, and this chapter is completely different from how I originally thought it would go. This is where I lost myself a bit and just said "screw following the manga/anime" lol. Next chapter is my original ending of the story but I split it into two chapters and chapter thirteen will have a tiny epilogue.

Wano is a beautiful place with desolate areas you realize, as you walk through the city trying to find a job. Kin'emon has already worked with you all to prepare your roles and provided you clothes that let you blend in, yours matching what most of the local housewives wear on a daily basis.
You've agreed to let him, and those of Wano, see you as a newly married couple with Zoro, even as he takes the role of ronin and seems less than enthusiastic about it. Faking a marriage twice over was truly an annoyance, he was beyond done with this part of his life. You hope it's not a sign of things to come with him, but right now, your focus is on finding a job, even something at a teahouse is enough. Anything that lets you blend in the best you can.
You find a small teahouse in the Flower Capitol, the owner agreeing to hire you once you had told him you were newly married and attempting to find a job temporarily to get you both on your feet since your husband was a ronin. Everything is well, you’re happy about what you’ve found and your role in helping to recruit Samurai to the raid, until you hear a voice you’ve not heard in years, making you freeze on the spot.
He's here. Why is he here?!
You’re quick to hide behind a building, barely peeking to look and see that it is in fact the man your parents had chosen for you to marry.
A man now in his mid-thirties, Hibine Kanzaki is out with who you guess to be a servant of his, and you can hear him bragging about a newborn daughter in his house. The guy always creeps you out, hearing his voice and the fake sweetness in it makes you want to bury yourself in a hole and hide. It’s the same voice he used when he'd come to see you, trying to win you over despite Elias’ glaring and you knowing he didn’t mean a word of it.
The second he seems to look where you’re hiding you back yourself up further behind the building, taking several deep breaths and praying he leaves, praying he didn’t see your face.
Once his voice fades away, you double check to make sure he’s gone, before you leave your hiding spot and hurry back to your temporary home while you’re here in Wano. Your biggest concern right now is getting to safety and staying with Zoro again.
Zoro will keep me safe, he won’t let anything happen to me…
+!+
“I-is Zoro back?”
Law doesn't miss how you're shaking like a leaf, watching you wring your hands while he shakes his head.
“No, not yet. What happened?”
“N-nothing, don’t worry about it, I just…” You take a deep breath, turning to leave again and go find Zoro, “I need Zoro right now.”
“Hey, wait,” Law’s up on his feet and grabbing Kikoku before you get too far, “You're in no state to be left alone, I'll go with you to find him. I need to see if my crew have found jobs or anything yet anyway.”
Nodding, you thank Law for joining you as the two of you return to town, you constantly looking around for Zoro, which makes Law watch you closely. No, he doesn't know your situationship with Zoro, but he's curious about what has got you so badly worked up. He almost offers you to hold his hand if you need, mostly so you stop wringing yours or balling up your kimono sleeves to the point they’re wrinkled. Law is highly tempted to ask what’s wrong as you re-enter the shopping district of the Flower Capitol, until he hears Shachi call for him.
“Stay here, I’ll be right back.”
“Mm. Take your time, Traffy.”
Staying to the side, you keep watch to make sure you’re safe, hoping to see your green haired husband around somewhere, before someone places a hand on your shoulder and you look, your feeling of safety fleeing immediately.
“It really is you! My dear fiancée, I’ve wanted to see you for so long!”
You don’t have the chance to move away before he grabs your wrist and your voice catches in your throat, before you’re able to shake it off just enough to quietly respond.
“I’m not your fiancée…I have a husband.”
Shaking his head, Hibine steps closer and it makes you back up, your attempted glare coming off as more fearful than anything, which causes him to grin at you.
He never really loved you, you’ve known that from that start. Elias could see it when your parents couldn’t.
“Oh my dear, our engagement is still very much alive…your lovely parents have been looking for you, trying to help me find you so we can finalize our marriage. Your mother especially is anxious for us to marry and have a child already~”
“Elias has a child. I’m not rea—”
His grip on your wrist tightens and it makes you start to panic, it’s just like the last time.
Just like last time…stop touching me.
Hibine takes one step towards you and you take two steps back, while he continues to grin, one hand gripping your wrist like you’ve done something wrong.
“My cute little fiancée,” his voice makes your hair stand on end and you cringe visibly, “Let’s go home together, we’ll call your parents and tell them you've left that brute of a pirate.”
“You…” you gulp, taking another step back which he copies, and you hate how weak and pathetic you feel at the moment, this man makes you sick to your stomach, “You’re hurting me…”
You’re not Zoro.
This man disgusts you, he’s possibly the worst person you’ve ever met, you’ve felt that for the last five years since you first met him. How your parents could have chosen him, thought someone in his thirties when you were barely fifteen was a good idea, you’ve never understood their thought. Even after begging them to reconsider, you were terrified until Elias got you out of your home, away from them, away from this man who saw you as simple property. You want to grab your sword, putting your hand on its hilt and ready to do so if he makes a wrong move. He always made wrong moves around you, around Elias, even after the multiple times your brother had pulled this sword himself and told this scum to not touch you, Hibine still tried every time.
By contrast, you know Zoro would never touch you without your permission, unless absolutely needed. When he’d first taught you some sword techniques you didn’t know, he always made sure you were okay with him holding your wrists to show you the proper position for your hands, making you wonder if he noticed how you flinched the first time.
You really wish he was here right now.
I want Zoro, I need my husband.
You terribly want to throw up, but you keep stepping backwards, eyes locked onto Hibine with your hand on your sword as you wonder where the hell Law and his crew were, had they not noticed your predicament yet?
Back away, keep backing away…let me go, you’re not him.
Eventually you hear Law shout your name, he can see the fear in your eyes when you catch his, he’s about to rush over to you, but you back into a hard chest before anything else happens, an arm coming around your shoulders and it makes Hibine stop too, releasing your wrist.
“There you are,” relief washes over you instantly when you recognize Zoro’s voice, looking up at him as you finally breathe again, “Been looking for you. Where have you been, wife?”
“Z-Zoro…” you shake your head and his brow furrows before he looks at Hibine, who is nearly snarling at the two of you now. “That’s…my parents…it’s him, I…”
You turn yourself to face him better and he holds you a bit closer before looking back to Hibine.
“Sorry if my wife caused any problems, I've been looking for her all afternoon,” trying to play his part, Zoro notices you rubbing your wrist, setting a slight glare on Hibine and his other hand on his swords, maybe showing them off would scare away the creep, “She doesn’t like to be touched by strangers, she’d appreciate it if you didn’t–”
“The hell is this? You’re the brute she married over me?!”
“Yeah, got a problem?”
“This is ridiculous,” Hibine growls, attempting to grab you again, “I paid to marry this wench, she should be my bride!”
The shriek that leaves your mouth when Hibine grabs your wrist and tries to pull you from Zoro makes your swordsman husband glare even worse than he was already. He knocks Hibine’s hand off you, turning you more towards him, as he pulls one of his swords and has it at the older man’s neck in an instant.
“Guess I didn’t make myself clear,” Zoro gives a glance to you, you’re nearly hyperventilating while you grip his kimono top and he looks back at Hibine, ignoring Law yelling at him to not screw anything up, you’re more important at the moment, “Keep your filthy hands off my wife or I’ll make sure you can’t touch anyone again.”
A group of people had stopped to stare at what was happening, Hibine yelling about being threatened while Law starts yelling at Zoro that he’s going to ruin everything.
“Traffy, take [Y/N] back for me.”
“And what are you going to do?!”
“Nothing, don’t worry.”
Law wants to argue, until Zoro moves you to him and he can see how shaken up, how terrified you seem to be. You’re covering your ears and your breathing is getting faster, you need to be somewhere else now before you have a full on panic attack. Nodding at Zoro, Law Shambles you both back to your temporary residence, allowing your swordsman a moment to sigh before he looks back to Hibine with a glare again.
“Now you listen. Here’s what you’re going to do for upsetting my wife.”
~~
Once you and Law are back where you were staying, you almost instantly collapse to the ground hyperventilating and dry heaving. Law knew what to expect, he quickly pinned your hair back and gave you a bucket before he ran off to get you water while you vomited everything from your lunch earlier. Too many memories, all of them bad, had come back when you saw Hibine, when he touched you, tried to act sickly sweet while having that awful look in his eyes, trying to keep up his image. You really hadn’t meant to keep it a secret he was from Wano, that he’d intended to take you all the way here once your marriage was finalized. There was never a good tike to bring it up to Zoro. Thank God for your brother, for the Straw Hats, for Zoro saving you from such a life though.
When Law returns with water, you’ve gone from getting sick to crying over how ridiculous you feel. There’s no reason for this, you’re strong. You know you are, everyone knows, they’ve seen it. Law tries to calm you down, telling you that you’re fine now, you’re safe, your crewmates will be back any moment.
You are grateful for Law’s help, even as you finally calm down and apologize, he tells you there’s no need, while you start to explain what happened and who Hibine is. The look on his face goes from curious to concerned as you continue, and you do admit your current marriage to Zoro, which surprises him greatly. He never guessed you two were married, he figured dating or maybe even hooking up. Not a full on marriage, even though you also admit you two have started dating, it was still temporary unless Zoro said otherwise.
Once you’ve finished explaining everything, you feel like you’re about to pass out and Law finds that you have a fever, you need to be laying down. He's brought a damp wash cloth for your forehead once he helps you to your room, ensuring as little light as possible can get in before he leaves you to rest, and it's not long before you’re fast asleep.
Not even a few minutes later Zoro returns, and Law confronts him about everything.
“You didn’t think that mentioning you and [Y/N]-ya are actually married before coming here was important?! Especially when her fiancé is from here!”
“He’s not her fiancé,” Zoro grits his teeth at the thought of Hibine being anything special to you, the man was a coward who used money to get he wanted, he deserved more than just a scare, “And I didn’t know he was from here. She never told me that. The marriage isn’t something we broadcast to people.”
Law sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose as he tries to calm his own pounding head.
“At least it’s dealt with. I trust you didn’t take things too far?”
“Just scared him, that’s all. Where’s [Y/N]?”
“Her room, resting. She has a fever. Does she get those easily?”
Nodding, Zoro doesn’t say anything else and enters your room, you’re sitting up with your head in your hands, he swears he can hear you crying to yourself. He's used to this, but knowing the reasons why nearly breaks his heart for once.
Seeing how utterly terrified of Hibine you were, it worried him more than he’d ever admit even to you. He wonders what else you may have gone through that you never told him, if that man took things too far or what. He'll have to ask you later, but for the moment, he’s glad you’re okay. You’d barely slept on the trip to Wano, not being used to a submarine but also getting to know the Heart Pirates, Zoro can only recall one night you went to bed at a decent time and that was when you’d had a little more to drink than normal and found yourself in his bed, latched onto his left arm and kissing his shoulder before falling into a dead sleep.
He'll probably never tell you how much he’d like that to happen again.
“Hey.”
“Hey…”
“You okay?”
You shake your head while Zoro comes over and sits beside you, setting his hand on your forehead to see how your fever was, and luckily you don’t flinch or stop him. He’s relieved that seeing that man didn’t cause you to suddenly fear him too. Not like he’d ever do anything to hurt you anyway.
“I haven’t seen you so skittish since we met…did you know he’d be in the flower capitol?”
“No, I…I thought he lived elsewhere…”
The way you start to grab at your hair, though he doesn’t show it, starts to worry Zoro, and he knows he has to ask what he’s started dreading since he saw the look on your face when he ran into you earlier. It’s going to dredge up some bad memories most likely, but he’s not going to force you if you don’t want to respond.
“Can I ask you something?” when you nod, Zoro takes a breath before asking, “Did he touch you back then? When you still lived with your parents?”
You stay quiet for a moment, sighing as you finally bring you hands down from your hair with a small nod.
“Once,” you bite your lip hard, you can taste blood, and Zoro nearly tells you not to worry about explaining it when he sees you start to look distressed, “He’d come to see me, and Elias had stepped out of the room for something. Next thing I knew, I was on the floor and…Hibine was over me. I was sixteen, I didn’t know what to do. He had my wrists in his hands and was saying something I can’t remember, I blocked it out I think. He ended up bruising my wrists from holding them so tightly, but Elias stopped him from doing anything else. He came back and saw the position we were in, started yelling at him to get off me and had pulled his—my sword and threatened Hibine.”
“Makes two of us that have now.”
You smile a bit with a slight laugh and nod, finally looking over at Zoro. “My dad wanted to call off the marriage after hearing what happened, but my mom wouldn’t let him. Elias never left me alone with him again, up until he helped me run away.”
“That does explain the first time I taught you a sword technique. When I’d held your wrist and you flinched.”
“Oh yeah, you did notice that? Sorry.”
Zoro shakes his head, finally moving to join you in your bed, something you gladly accept, you trust him with every part of you. He lets you lead as you wrap your arms around him and lay back down, doing the same once you’re settled and comfortable, placing a soft kiss to your forehead.
“Don’t worry about him, wife. He ain’t gonna mess with you again. I made sure of that.”
Smiling, you nod and snuggle closer to Zoro, closing your eyes again before thanking him and falling back asleep. For once, Zoro doesn’t immediately fall asleep, instead staying awake for a bit to make sure you’re comfortable, while thinking about the brief summary you’d given him of that meeting with Hibine when you were still so young. He's glad you don’t remember what was said, it was likely the most unsavory things, he’ll never make you relive such things. Never put you through that himself.
If I’d been there I’d have cut his hands off. I’d have married you sooner, to keep him away from you. Your parents would’ve hated it, they’d have gotten no money from me…but you would’ve been safe sooner.
Zoro does eventually fall asleep, still keeping you close as you finally get much needed rest. Once dinner is ready he only leaves long enough to get you both something to eat, just letting Usopp, Franky, and Robin know you’re doing all right after telling them what had happened earlier. He doesn’t leave you alone very much that evening, apart from when Robin takes you to the bathhouse once your fever breaks.
You’re more relaxed when you make it back, but continue to lean against Zoro while Kin’emon and Law go into more details about the plan for the raid on Onigashima soon. He wraps an arm around your shoulders and pulls you a little closer, silently telling you to rest, you deserve it after the day you had, he or Robin will fill you in on anything you miss if you fall asleep. Once you do, and everyone else begins to turn in for the night later, Zoro is very careful to pick you up and take you back to your room, making sure you stay asleep as he gets you comfortable in bed. Part of him wants to stay with you, to be there if any nightmares of your time at home come up, but he’s not sure if you’ll be happy with that tonight
Instead, just like earlier, he kisses your forehead softly before leaving, letting you have some peace and quiet to sleep.
I’ll be damned if I ever let anyone hurt her again.
+!+
When Luffy and the rest of your crewmates make it to Wano finally, Sanji is the first one to hug you, not giving you a second to breathe which makes you laugh at him. You’re beyond happy to see he’s back, he's still himself, and it makes you return his hug just as tightly, while he tells you he fully understands your feelings about arranged marriages now. Awful things they are to him and to you.
You decide not to tell him or Nami, anyone really, about your run in with your now ex-fiancé for now. You will later, when it’s just you with them, for now you just tell Nami that you don’t have to worry about that man anymore, just about your parents reaction.
Zoro had scared Hibine enough that the older man decided you weren’t worth the trouble anymore, he rescinded the engagement and would inform your parents of it once he returned home. Whether he said anything more or not, Zoro never tells you, just that if the guy is a man of his word you should probably expect a letter from your parents soon about it.
Nami is relieved, pulling you into yet another hug and telling you so, expecting more details later on when you can tell her what you know.
For now, you all fall into your roles within Wano, you doing your job at the tea shop with your crewmates and even some of the Heart Pirates coming to visit when they can. Sanji comes in a few times to fawn over you in your kimono, he really thinks the floral pattern suits you which just makes you smile and thank him.
The next time Law comes in with Ikkaku, the manager has you take their order, and it gives you a chance to talk to them as you take your break at the same time.
“I was able to hand off a few of Kin’emon’s secret messages to more people today.”
“That’s good,” Law nods, watching Ikkaku as she gets up to leave with a slight smirk and he rolls his eyes at her, “The more the better, we’re going to need all we can find.”
You agree while you take the seat Ikkaku left, glad to be off your feet with someone you trust around. You still worry that Hibine is going to show up, but hope Zoro did more than enough to keep him from you.
“So, you and Rorona-ya then?”
“What do you—”
“You’re together, right?”
Taking a sharp breath, you let out a quiet ‘oh’ before nodding in return. Law doesn’t miss how bashful you seem to become, a small smile on your face while you briefly explain the whole thing to him. You trust he won’t use it against you, Law doesn’t seem like the type to do that, for whatever reason.
When you finish your story, as the tea shop owner calls for you, Law just nods.
“He saved you then, and you just fell in love with him over time.”
Your smile grows a bit as you nod, trying to keep your composure so your boss doesn’t think you’re flirting or anything.
“Exactly. I owe Zoro so much for saving me.”
There’s nothing really behind his questioning and listening to your story, Law’s curiosity got the better of him since he’s known the last couple days of your marriage to Zoro.
At least it sounds like you’re happy, whatever may come next.
+!+
Sanji does his best to keep you from hearing Brook tell him about where he’d found Zoro before Tonoyasu’s execution, how he’d been found simply sleeping with Hiyori and Toko by him, though the way it’s said makes it sound more scandalous than it actually was. Of course it’s nearly impossible for you not to hear it once Nami does, doing her duty as your friend to let you know, and while you’re shocked, you’re not sure if you believe it was anything salacious or not. She and Sanji offer to keep Zoro away from you once everyone is together again, but you reject that idea with a smile, saying everything is fine because you do believe that at least.
Zoro isn’t surprised you’ve heard about it, he just rolls his eye at Sanji who is convinced you’re secretly upset about it and your boyfriend/husband needs to apologize for something he had no control over. It’s not like anything actually happened, it was just like the times you’ve napped together, just nothing romantic involved.
So if you were upset, you’d have told him, he knows you would.
Sanji doesn’t understand it though, grumbling about it when you help him with making dinner one night that Luffy wants to have a feast with the Heart Pirates, Kid, Killer, and the Samurai, a few days before the raid on Onigashima is to start.
“That mosshead is so lucky to have you, I can’t believe him.”
“It wasn’t really his fault, Sanji. He already explained it.”
“Still though, it’s not fair to you…”
You shrug a bit, just giving Sanji a smile while you keep prepping the vegetables he gave you to work on.
“You give him too much credit.”
“And you are quick to think the worst of him, Sanji,” your friend makes a sound like he’s offended, which causes you to laugh, “I trust and love Zoro, I know he wouldn’t do anything to hurt me.”
“…but does he love you back?”
Stopping your work, you shrug a bit, Sanji sighing slightly. With everything going on, you haven’t had much time alone with Zoro, not since you first got to Wano anyway. Every time you try to have any time alone, it gets interrupted by something or someone, there’s so much constantly going on, you’re running out of time before the festival and raid, its unlikely you’ll have any chance at any time together until after the raid is over.
So long as everything goes well.
Sanji throws an arm around your shoulders, hugging you when you lean into him.
“If that mosshead does anything to upset you, I’ll kick his ass for you.”
You laugh at the offer, shaking your head when you hear Luffy call for the two of you to hurry up because he was just starving to death out there.
“Yeah, I’ll let you know, Sanji.”
But hopefully that doesn’t happen.
~~
There’s finally time for you to spend with Zoro later that evening, once you and Sanji finish preparing everything and the feast Luffy's been waiting for all day gets going. There’s plenty of food to keep everyone fed, you and Sanji out of the kitchen for the rest of the night for once, and while you choose to abstain from drinking that night, you’re happy to bring some to Zoro, who gladly takes it before pulling you into his lap and keeping you close. Now that you have the chance to relax together, even with everyone else around, with all the stuff about Hiyori and the raid and what may happen afterwards being forgotten for now, a few moments of peace are greatly welcomed by everyone.
“You good?”
Nodding, you lean back against Zoro’s chest while he keeps his arm around your waist, silently telling you to stay there with him.
“I’m doing great, Zoro.”
Nami watches you two from the side, eventually tapping Sanji on the shoulder, nodding her head towards you when she sees you both get up and leave, almost sneaking off. No one else seems to notice, but Sanji hums a bit when he sees where she’s directing his sight.
“You think they’re turning in for the night?”
“Who knows,” Shrugging, Sanji goes to put his arm around her shoulders before Nami grabs his hand and moves it away from her, giving him a ‘not here’ look, “Maybe they just need a quiet place to talk about, you know, Hiyori and that stuff.”
“Hmm, maybe…”
Nami knows she’ll hear everything from you later on, you don’t keep things from her or Robin anymore, you’ve learned not to do that now.
She just hopes whatever goes on, it’s nothing you or Zoro come to regret.
+!+
“If you break her heart, I’ll never forgive you, mosshead.”
Zoro only wakes the next morning when you start to shift around, turning away from him in your sleep, relaxing again as you make yourself comfortable. He just watches you for a bit, wondering how last night got to this point. You and him in your room, consummating your two and a half year long marriage unexpectedly. Not a drop of alcohol in your system, a normal amount in Zoro’s of course, but, how on earth did it end up with the two of you in your bed?
“What would you like from me? You’ve given me more than I could ever ask for.”
“I want tonight, just you and me, if you’re comfortable with that.”
“Yes,” you nod, Zoro pulls you closer, one arm around your waist as his other hand is in your hair, and you wrap your arms around his shoulders while he brings your face closer to his, “I can happily give you that, Zoro.”
Oh right that’s how. You and Zoro had slipped away from everyone else after dinner, while Luffy tried to get the party going even more and Kid started to egg him on, it became too loud for the both of you. He’s not entirely sure how things escalated from you two talking about the raid to making out, you asking him what he wants in return for all he’s given you over the last couple years, he’d first told you that he didn’t need or want anything, but he could see you wanted something, you were just too shy to ask for it. Once Zoro told you what he wanted (he did want this, it wasn’t just for you) and you gladly agreed to it, he checked on you the whole night, to make sure you were comfortable, that he wasn’t hurting you, and that you felt safe, but you always feel safe with him, telling him so between kisses and ‘I love you’s with your hands holding his face.
You love him, and it’s still something new to him. Even last night, it was all new to both of you, two and a half years later than it normally would’ve been, but your relationship isn’t normal. You may not have come together by conventional means, not even being in love at the start, but things had changed and you’d waited for him to work things out with himself. He’s still trying to figure things out, how to voice his thoughts to you, but where you two are now feels nice to him. Whether you consider it dating or actually having a marriage, he doesn’t care anymore. So long as you stay near him and let him continue to protect you, for as long as you need him.
Zoro’s about to pull you back to him and sleep again when someone knocks on the door, making him roll his eye before he kisses the back of your head which wakes you.
“Mm, Zoro?” You rub yours eyes a bit, sitting up to look at him once he’s out of your bed, worried he’s going to sneak off so no one catches him or because he regrets the night before, “Is it morning?”
“Someone’s at the door, I’ll be right back. Go back to sleep,” he smiles just a bit seeing you look slightly disappointed, like you don’t believe him, so he kisses your forehead gently before quietly promising, “I’m not leaving you alone, wife.”
“Okay…”
Zoro is quick to dress and makes sure you’re comfortable once you lay back down, covering you with his haori to reiterate his promise to come back, which you pull around you more as you attempt to fall back to sleep. He watches you for a moment, waiting until your breathing evens out and you’re almost asleep again before he goes to answer the door. Once he opens the door to your room, Zoro sighs and immediately wishes he’d ignored the knocking and went back to sleep with.
“Of course it’s you.”
“I’m not happy to see your face this early either,” Sanji scowls with his cigarette in his mouth, unhappy to know you and Zoro never came back to everyone the night before, and he had an idea as to why which was confirmed seeing the swordsman in your room still, “You better not have done anything to hurt her, mosshead.”
“Why the hell are you here this early?”
“Kin’emon wants to talk about the raid, I’m just rounding up people who are missing. He wants to talk during breakfast so it’ll be a little while still.”
“Got it. We’ll be there soon.”
Sanji stops Zoro from closing the door with his foot, the two shooting glares at each other before Sanji quietly speaks again.
“I’m serious, asshole. That’s my best friend you’re married to and had sex with. She loves you. Don’t break her heart.”
“I won’t, and I heard you the first twenty times.”
After Sanji leaves, you surprise Zoro by coming up behind him and hugging him, making him look back at you while you smile up at him, now wearing his haori.
“I thought I told you to go back to sleep.”
“I heard Sanji say Kin’emon wanted to talk about things, so I decided to get up.”
“Makes sense.”
Neither of you say anything for a bit, though Zoro does turn around to take your face in his hands while you keep looking up at him. He still doesn’t get why you give him such loving looks, after everything you’ve been through on your own and then with him. With him, he feels like he’s treated you so badly at times, all because he didn’t want anything to do with romance at the start. But you didn’t give up on him, not on your marriage despite the way it came about, despite his initial rejection of your feelings, your fight about Robin, your first kiss in Water Seven, you worrying about him after Kuma showing up at Thriller Bark. Then when you reunited and he was willing to try a relationship with you, though neither of you knew what to call it, you never gave up on him.
And then last night, it keeps replaying in his head. He wonders if it’s the same for you, though the slightest blush you have tells him that it is. There’s nothing but happiness and love in your eyes too.
Why did you choose to love me? You deserve much better.
Zoro wonders if you’d tell him an actual reason, or something cheesy. Something about the heart wanting that it wants, he thinks, is what Sanji’s said before while swooning over some girl, or that you don’t want better, you just want him. He probably wouldn’t mind hearing that from you, only because it’s you, he’d reason.
After a few more minutes of silence and just enjoying each other’s presence, Zoro finally leans down and kisses you, making you hum a bit and smile more.
“Good morning, husband.”
“Mornin’, wife.”
You giggle a bit at his response which makes Zoro smirk as he picks you up in a princess carry, allowing you to wrap your arms around his shoulders, taking you back and dropping you on your bed, laying down with and trapping you against him. Everyone can wait a little while longer as the two of you sleep in a bit more, he thinks. Zoro tries to fall back asleep but you place small kisses all over his face, preventing him from doing so, since you know it’ll be difficult to wake him in time to see what Kin’emon wants from you all. If this is how his mornings could be, even with your touchy feely affection, Zoro thinks he doesn’t mind staying married to you.
In fact, he’s starting to think he can get used to this.
“I love you, Zoro~”
Zoro simply nods at you, pressing another soft kiss to your forehead. “I know. Thank you.”
I’ll tell you soon, I promise.
+!+
The bandage on your forehead itches and you’re fighting not to pull the same stunt as your husband would with ripping it off. Chopper would scold you, and right now, it’s one of the last things you need. With the fight against Kaido and his Beast Pirates over, Luffy and Zoro unconscious in the room you’re heading to, your prayers are going towards both of them waking soon. You want to leave Wano with them both, but also fear what may come next for you and Zoro as a couple or if he’ll put an end to your marriage once you leave this place. You try not to think about it, instead opening the door to the room where Chopper is checking Luffy and you go to Zoro, your doctor giving you a smile.
“They should both wake up soon! I think…”
Returning his smile, you nod a bit at Chopper.
“Thanks, doctor. I don’t know where we’d be without you, Chopper.”
While Chopper tries to pretend your words aren’t flattering him, you seat yourself beside Zoro, like you have the last couple days, quietly taking his hand and feeling grateful no one else is really around at the moment. Most of your new friends and allies still don’t know your real relationship, you’d like to keep it that way until you all leave, but who knows how that might go now. People are constantly in and out of this room lately, everyone it seems is taking turns to see if Luffy mostly is awake, your crewmates focusing on both your captain and swordsman.
For you, although you do want Luffy to wake quickly too, your main focus is on Zoro, ensuring he’s still alive after all the damage he'd taken. You’d gotten a basic rundown from Sanji, even hearing how Zoro had beaten King, which was right before you saw how badly he’d been hurt, how near death he was this time.
You think it must be worse than Thriller Bark.
Right now, all your hope is on his waking up. Being able to check on him, hold his hand, make sure he’s still breathing, it gives you some small semblance of peace, especially with Chopper’s comment that they should both wake soon.
When you’re sure it’s just you and them, or your other crewmates are around, you’re able to make yourself press your forehead into his chest, listening closely for his heart beat, and feeling nothing but relief each time you hear it. The few times you swear he squeezes your hand back, despite still being knocked out, give you hope they’ll be up sooner rather, that you and Zoro can finally work out what your relationship is and will be.
Truly you just hope he doesn’t break your heart.
“Please. Wake up soon, okay? I love you.”
You quickly place a kiss on his forehead, as he’s done to you multiple times lately, before contenting yourself to simply stay beside Zoro and hold onto his hand, silent prayers that he wakes up soon. After a little while, you get surprised by someone setting a hand on your shoulder, looking up to see Sanji giving you a smile.
“Why don’t you come with me, [Y/N]? I’ll make you something to eat~”
You return the smile and let Sanji help you up, him putting an arm around your shoulders as he walks you to the kitchen of where you’re being allowed to stay for now. He starts telling you everything he’s planning to make for when Luffy and Zoro wake up, before you two are stopped by a few of the younger samurai.
One of them, around your age, tries hitting on you and asking you out, but before you can even deny the invitation, Sanji steps up with a grin.
“Hey now! Don’t you know this lovely girl is our stupid swordsman’s wife? I don’t think he’ll take too kindly to you hitting on her!”
The samurai looks from Sanji to you, as you slap his arm and nearly hiss out his name.
“Is…is that…true?’
Smiling a bit, you simply say, “Zoro and I are just very close, that’s all. I am flattered, but I’m not looking to date anyone.”
It's not a full lie, you don’t know where you and Zoro stand at the moment anyway, and you aren’t looking to start dating someone from Wano anyway. Hibine be damned, you just aren’t interested in anyone here, Zoro is the only one for you, you believe.
The samurai takes your rejection well, saying he hopes you two are happy whatever happens, before Sanji starts to turn you back down the hall he was leading you.
“Stop telling people about me and Zoro!”
“Come on, you weren’t going to go out with that guy anyway.”
“You know what I mean though.”
“Do I?” Sanji shrugs, glancing over his shoulder in time for the door to the room you’d left to close, and he sighs, squeezing your shoulder lightly.
You don’t tell him that you saw Hiyori around the corner too.
+!+
“Do you think he likes her?”
For a second Sanji thinks you're kidding. You're in the middle of stitching up one of Zoro's shirts before moving to your own, while Sanji starts to work on something for you to eat, he raises an eyebrow and just looks at you. How lucky were you to make it out of that battle against the Beast Pirates nearly unscathed. The cut on your forehead and some other minor ones here and there, but you’re fine, nothing like what your husband and captain have had to deal with. Not even close to what Sanji's been recovering from, and he's already back up and ready to cook for everyone.
“You're kidding, right?”
When you shake your head, Sanji furrows his brow and sighs, taking a drag from his cigarette and moving to sit beside you at the table. He puts a hand on top of yours to stop your work and make you look at him, he's giving you the soft smile you've come to appreciate from him.
“That mosshead loves you, not Hiyori.”
“Sanji–”
“No, listen to me for a minute,” he tightens his grip on your hand for a second, before continuing, “I know Zoro better than I like to admit, and he has no romantic feelings for Hiyori, I can see that. The way he looks at you, though, there's always been something there.”
“What do you–”
“Every time he has just a bit too much to drink, he watches you. He gets this soft look on his face, like he's thinking about something. I've only ever seen that look on his face when he looks at you. He's been like that ever since I met you guys.”
“That doesn’t mean anything…”
Shrugging, Sanji gets up from his seat beside you again.
“Maybe not, but I don’t think he would’ve slept with you if he didn’t love you back.”
You nearly squeak a response, slapping Sanji’s hand off your shoulder as he laughs, shaking his head and asking how you expected him to not know by now. You’re not very good at hiding things, not from him anyway.
“Just talk to that mosshead after he wakes up. I know you two will be fine, you’re made for each other.”
You really do hope Sanji’s right. The two of you end up working in a comfortable silence that’s only broken by Chopper running into the kitchen, nearly in tears. You almost feel your heart drop as you fear the worst before Sanji speaks up.
“Chopper? What’s wrong?”
“They’re…they’re both…awake!”

Students Karma Should've Been Seen With More!!
these are not all but def the ones I think should be seen w karma more, if not the main series, at least the side stories! I was digging up my priv tweets and found some more think pieces😋 thoughts under the cut!!

1. Isogai
It's already established that Isogai treats all his friends equally and I definitely believe he does the same to Karma being the first to talk to him, first to point out Karma's presence during the school assembly and first to stop the fight between him and Nagisa.
I also think since both of them excel in leadership, they would strategise assassinations together often
--
2. Kanzaki
Gamers. That's it. That's their dynamic. I also think it'll be funnier if Kanzaki is better than him in every way so Karma just ends up frustrated but he doesn't want to get mad because he wants to look chill but nah, he's doing all he can to win a match against Kanzaki especially in fps games.
Also since kanzaki is the best in Japanese and Karma's least fave subject is Japanese, I think when they teach each other during afternoon class, Karma would always take the opportunity to ask Kanzaki for tips a lot
--
3. Sugaya
Karma can draw and we saw it during the recap movie where he drew Korosensei on the blackboard so I think Sugaya and him sometimes share notebooks to doodle around while they talk, maybe they even have ocs where they would do art trades for
--
4. Fuwa
Come on, THE manga nerd besties. They will be huddled up behind class discussing their theories on the next chapter of the mangas they read and Karma even though he doesn't believe any of Fuwa's theory to be true, would entertain her thoughts anyway
--
5. Mimura
Karma stated that he watched Sonic Ninja solely for the director at first so I think it'll be fun if him and Mimura would talk about their fave cinematography in movies and works from different directors.
Maybe in the future Mimura would even consult karma when it comes to directing certain scenes to get his view as a spectator
#ansatsu kyoushitsu#assassination classroom#akabane karma#isogai yuuma#kanzaki yukiko#sugaya sosuke#fuwa yuzuki#mimura koki#think pieces#I thought of these way back in april turns out#I went through my tweets and accidentally stumbled across this

Hope y’all enjoy this super cute trope >:3
Souma Kanzaki✰
Your absolute best friend in the marine bio club, he loves researching about cute creatures and taking care of them too!! Souma isn’t really focused on romance, he’s really glad to have found friends like you and Adonis. But, why was he feeling some sort of way around you? Your smile was so soft, he felt his heart beat at the thought of it, and how warm your personality was with him. He was scared to even confess because you’ve been such a good friend to him that he really doesn’t want to ruin that friendship.
But its not like you have hinted anything towards him. It’s always been Adonis or Kanata, hell, even Kaoru, he wants you to look at him for once, just once and say you love him. Souma started to doubt whether or not to tell you, when suddenly as he opened his locker, saw an envelope with your name in it, addressed to him. He decided on going to the place you mentioned in your letter, seeing you there with a smile.
“Y/n…do you feel what I feel? I really enjoy your presence, but I can’t help but feel I want to be more than your friend, perhaps a partner? If you want to stay as friends then I understand-“
With that, you kissed him, he felt like his world was just surrounded by you and just you both. As you parted away, Souma blushed a bit, smiling brightly but slightly embarrassed as you spoke
“I love you too Souma, I’ve been waiting to say those words to you”
Yuta Aoi✰
Let’s face it, you’re friends with Yuta and best friends with Hinata. He hates feeling like a second option towards you when Hinata isn’t there. Of course, you share moments like any good friend would, talking and spending time together. But it was all about Hinata; Hinata this, Hinata that. Yuta started growing feelings of jealousy for a while, but he couldn’t just go to his brothers best friend and admit of their crush, opening his heart out there and waiting for it to be held or acepted, anything but crushed.
Yuta knew he had to act one day or another, it can’t stay like this when you’re just there, being so kind to him even if he felt like a filler for when Hinata wasn’t there. Until one day, his brother found out about his crush, and promised him that he wasn’t interested in you, after all, Hinata felt like you were the sister they never had. After that day, Yuta saw things clearly, not blinded by the silly jealousy towards his brother and now focusing on winning your heart. Eventually, he invited you out to hang out together, which could be considered a date but he liked saying they were only going out as friends. Right after ending the date, Yuta held your hands softly, sighing before speaking.
“So, I wanna thank you for accepting my invite um to go out..but I also want to say something important-“
You cut him off by kissing him, he stood still, a bit in shock while his heart felt like it was about to burst.
“I like you too Yuta..sorry if I made you feel in any way less than your brother, you’re very important to me, you both are”
Suou Tsukasa✰
Your friendship began with your father’s company partnering up with Tsukasa’s. You both instantly clicked having somewhat same interests, going to cafe’s around japan whenever your families traveled to other cities. Suou loves going to Yumenosaki Academy with you, it’s a routine going in and out and after school, taking you to the sweet fan club. It’s no surprise when the members of the club ask if you’re dating, to which Suou just blushes and denies it. Perhaps he was developing feelings for you?
No it couldn’t be, you were his best friend, and childhood one too. Kohaku had seen Suou doubtful at times and comforted him, encouraging his cousin to give it a try if he truly loved you. Even if things wouldn’t be the same after, Suou was really going to give this a try. The following days consisted of him acting more affectionate and close with you, gifting you small things like your favorite sweets even jewelry as well. To the point where you confronted him about all the sudden coddling.
“Okay Suou listen I appreciate the gifts and the kindness, but..is there a reason why you’re doing this? I mean- wait, you’re definitely hidding something right? Come on I know you and I’ve done so my entire life, it can’t be that bad-“
Suou leaned forward, kissing you softly as he had felt brave in that moment, soon pulling away muttering a small apology as he sighed
“I-I’m sorry, I really love your company and your sweet personality, you’ve showed me how to love and feel loved. I truly hope you feel the same as I do”
Himeru✰
After the incident regarding his brother, Kaname, Himeru learned everything about his brother. People didn’t find him strange, or acting weird when referring to himself in third person, after all Himeru knew how to blend in well with the crowd. Except for one person, you. Knowing Kaname well had it’s things, like predicting what things he wanted to do or talk about in the moment, even sharing class schedules with each other, so you knew he was not Kaname, but instead his brother who he had mentioned briefly before Himeru had come in as ‘him’. Still, Himeru had that side of him that made you look at him in another light.
Of course, he was portraying as his brother but, something about Himeru was just so different, he was more mature, rationalized everything and serious in a way that made you like him? He was kind and gentle with you, almost sickening, but in a good way. A year passed by and Himeru invited you to see his brother, how the incident had left him in a state of coma, tears were shed that day, and a lot. But you knew how much trust and care he had in you. So when he pulled you aside as you walked towards the place he’d ask you to meet him at, you weren’t surprised at what he said.
“Himeru hopes this is enough appropriate to aproach you this way. Himeru asked for you to meet him here, Himeru is thankful for that…would you be willing to give Himeru the opportunity to show you how much ‘I’ love you?”
You smiled, one he loved seeing so frequently. He placed his arms around you in a comforting way, kissing you softly while smiling
“Yes Himeru, I love you, not because you’re ‘impersonating’ your brother but, because i fell in love with the real you, the real Himeru thats under that façade”

Kohaku Oukawa✰
Being part of whatever Madara dragged him into, wasn’t easy, especially with making acquaintances rather than his unit mates and Madara himself, not to mention his cousin Suou who is somewhat friends with you. He can’t even recall the time you both met, perhaps his cousin introduced you or he had seen you around the Reimei dormitories. Even if Kohaku didn’t attend school, he looked forward in meeting you in the hallways of the dorms. His conversations being short and direct but well mannered, he seemed to have taken a liking to you.
Or more like a slight fling of trust towards you since you knew his cousin and friends well. It wasn’t like him when he offered you to join him and share some of his favorite sweets or chatting online when you didn’t have time to hang out, always ending up with photos of Kohaku and the thing he was so busy at. Sometimes it would be photos of him at the practice studio or helping Madara out with something, they were really cute, but he didn’t have to know that, right? Then he suggested you both went out, taking you to his favorite shops and cafe’s filled with pastries from around the world, sharing a bite of the (favorite pastry) you were eating as he spoke, now having the opportunity to do so since you were both in a much more secluded area.
“Hey so..would it be alright if I..confessed? Okay no I’m not gonna beat around the bush, I like you, a lot. I talked this with Madara and he said i should tell you since honesty is important and”
He stopped, looking at you briefly after you had kissed him momentarily on the lips, he stared for a bit before snapping back into reality, coughing a bit as he averted his eyes across the room, trying to hide the embarrassment he felt because you liked him back and kissed him, even though he wanted to do so first
“Perhaps a little birdy might’ve told me something like that before…however the answer is still the same, I like you too Kohaku, thank you for being honest, I really like that about you too”
“HE WHAT-“
Kanata Shinakai✰
You both met thanks to Madara and Ryuusetai. Since you worked with Madara on some missions, you actually knew Kanata when he was proclaimed to be a ‘god’. The shinkai cult was a very harsh one but, after Madara had saved Kanata, he was in your ‘debt’. But it never felt that way to either of you, Kanata is your best friend, one that always drags you towards any nearby water or anything you both enjoy. He really likes spending time with you and will not back off if you tell him he’s “too clingy”. People always say you were like platonic soulmates, but you’d always denied it with a small blush on your face.
However, feelings started to develop when he would always go towards you in need of help or advice, even saying good morning before anyone else, you were first and it made you feel something whenever he smiled at you or dragged you into the cold water of the fountain. Kaoru was the first to notice your feelings whenever you came by the marine bio club, cheeks a bit pink as Kanata hugged you. It was kinda obvious of how much you liked each other but were oblivious to it. Till one day, he invited you out to meet him in one of his favorite spots, laying out a blanket with some of your favorite snacks, looking at the ocean in front of you as he held your hand under the afternoon sun.
“I think I’m developing ‘feelings’ for you~ Y/n~, do you ‘like’ me too~?”
Smiling, he knew to take that as a sign to kiss you, his lips soft against yours as you parted away slowly, taking the time to admire his features and how the wind moved his hair slightly
“I love you Kanata, it feels like we’re destined to be with one another”

Arashi Narukami✰
The cool stylish best friend you were so proud to have. Arashi knew the best skin care products and even gave you tips from time to time. She was the best to go to if you had any problems about anything. You both met at one of her regular make up stores to go to in the daily, she just so happened to love your fit and exchanged numbers. Arashi invites you to a couple of her shootings sometimes, looking your way when she’s posing or winking and the staff is quite positive that you’re dating each other. To which Arashi has no objection to but you’re almost sure she’s teasing you.
Besides you both have been friends for a couple of years, it’s nothing serious…or so you thought. Arashi had arranged a dinner after her regular model shootings and invited you, alone. Which caused some doubts because she would normally invite the rest of the Knights with you to eat together, especially for dinner. Upon entering the restaurant, placing your orders and sitting down, Arashi took out what seemed to be a box, you almost thought she was asking you to marry her but as she opened it, there were two rings, almost equal, she smiled and seemed a bit bashful as she spoke.
“You know I’m not really used to any of this but, I like you Y/n, I saw these rings and thought why not use them as promise rings? I hope you like it~!”
You smiled and held her hand as she kissed your cheek softly, then moving to kiss your lips briefly. Arashi then placed the ring on your finger as you did to her’s too. Many people thought it was an engagement and congratulated you both, even if it wasn’t, you ended up getting free dessert and a wonderful time with her
“I like you too Arashi! What just happened feels like something out of a fairytale, it was so romantic, thank you for the wonderful time~!”
Hiyori Tomoe✰
Your 'archnemesis’ that turned into your best friend. Hiyori really didn’t get along well with you, especially when you hanged around with Jun most of the time, talking about similar interests as he watched you both from the sidelines while he waited for Jun to finish his conversation. It wasn’t fair whenever Jun opt to spend more time with you rather than him and his dog Bloody Mary. However one time, Jun went off with Makoto, leaving you alone with Hiyori and his dog, he then realized how kind you were with everything, especially Bloody Mary. After that day you both became the most inseparable of friends. Always giving you tips on your wardrobe and going out to get lunch or a cup of coffee to start the day. When he invited you to his concerts and events, you were always there, first row cheering him on as he looked at you from the stage. Something about seeing you so cheery in the crowd made his heart flutter, he felt so loved and cherished by his best friend.
Although he wouldn’t consider that anymore, it had developed into a crush throughout the weeks, leaning into your touch more as you both linked arms or his arm around your shoulder. He trusted you with some of his worries and inquires, always looking forward to your advice whenever he felt down or lost. He eventually ranted towards Nagisa and Bloody Mary, to which Nagisa pretty much replied with “be honest with them, you never know unless you say something”. Nagisa was right, he had to do whatever it took to say how he was feeling and Hiyori wasn’t backing down on this. It was when he had the idea to confess after one of his concerts with Eve, after briefly finishing and the majority of the people had left, he requested for your presence in his dressing room, escorted by one of the bodyguards Ibara had hired for the concert. Soon entering his dressing room and seeing flowers everywhere, even a small rose petal line leading directly towards Hiyori as he smiled and held a beautiful bouquet of your favorite flowers.
“Hiyori! Wow it’s so beautiful..but, why all this commotion? I mean I love it but-“
You felt his lips against yours briefly, a soft giggle leaving his lips as he leaned towards you once more, catching you by surprise again
“My dearest Y/n! I must admit you’ve caught my eye, and I have developed feelings for you, I hope you truly feel the same”

Ritsu Sakuma✰
Ritsu had admired you from afar for quite some time now, noticing how happy you were with his brother and unit, too busy to even notice his presence whenever he was sleeping nearby, but that all changed once his brother had invited you over to dinner at their home. That’s how the friendship became to grow, you both shared similar tastes, music and even things like sleeping. He was your best friend since then and has been for a couple of months. Unfortunately, since he still holds a grudge against his brother Rei, you were kinda forced to choose between them, although not necessarily since you’d seen Rei almost everyday and Ritsu too, separated from each other. He opened himself up to you, telling Y/n how he felt like his brother had abandoned him at one point and how he didn’t want to feel that ever again, to which you had promised to stay by his side no matter what.
Soon, friendly cuddles were a thing under his favorite spot at the garden before going to the tea club. It felt like a routine; waking up, going to school, spending time with Ritsu and so on. Whenever he saw you with his brother, he really wasn’t jealous, just annoyed and bothered at the sight of Rei touching your arm slightly, whenever that happened he always approached you and placed his arm linked with yours as he waited for you both to finish said conversation. Feelings started to grow when he saw you waking up from one of your usual naps together, the way you slowly opened your eyes and how the sun softly graced your face, you looked like a sleeping angel, quite literally. He took it upon himself to confess the very day you both graduated, the last time you would’ve seen each other if it weren’t for his plans. Ritsu had pulled you aside, taking you to your usual spot as you both smile, a bit tearful at the sight of not being able to come back and share moments with each other but that’s when Ritsu held your hand softly
“Y/n..I want to apologize for how late this confession came to be but..I love you, I don’t want to let go of you just yet, or ever..please stay with me”
Ritsu asked as you smiled, his hands now on your cheeks as you pulled him in for a kiss, it felt so right to share such intimate moment with your now lover as he pulled back, looking at you dumbfounded for a moment as you spoke
“I love you more Ritsu~ I can’t wait to find more spots under trees so we can spend all the time in the world cuddling together”
Ibara Saegusa✰
The protective best friend who doesn’t like anyone coming near you. He’s always been like that, since day one of your friendship. Ibara at first offered you to work with him since the job was open to be his assistant. Then it turned into late night talks and drinking some coffee in the morning before attending to important stuff that he realized he had actually found a friend for the first time in ever. Apart from Eden and Adam if that counts, he really felt at ease around you. His work became less heavy and less dull, thanks to the help of a kind friend like you and the company he had every day, he seemed to be in a better mood each week. In business meetings or Eden/Adam practices, he’s always keeping an eye on you, if anyone makes you uncomfortable or your well-being overall. Even attending his lectures, he felt happy seeing you taking notes and being so attentive when he told his speeches.
It’s so weird seeing that he prioritizes your friendship over his work a few times like taking you to lunch or spending time doing whatever you both want. It caused some curiosity between the members of Eden since Ibara would always be swarming in work and the progress of their units. They sincerely have to thank you for letting him see his soft spot, his sweet side to all that workaholic Ibara. It was quite refreshing to be honest, seeing him so at ease and the strees and burden from over the years were at much calm now beside you. It was love, he couldn’t imagine a life without you, Ibara imagined the day where he would wake up beside you, smiling softly as he kissed you so dearly in the morning. He thought that those “daydreams” of you both spending time together was normal, but he was just really catching feelings. After a long time of consideration, he decided to take you out to a very exclusive dinner, one which the entire restaurant was worth more than the entire ensemble square. He sat in front of you, letting you choose a variety of dishes before grabbing your hand and speaking
“I’ll keep this short and simple, I really love your company, and I can’t help but wish more of it, more of your touch..if you catch what I mean..please don’t keep me waiting, the thought of being rejected is harsh but I’d rather know that- mmmphf-!”
He felt himself turn red, cheeks flaired with a pink hue as he felt your lips against his, his face was priceless. Chapped but so soft against yours, he didn’t want to let go, even for a catch of air, however when you did, your hands linked as you smiled
“I love you as well Ibara, don’t stress over something that was already expected from the both of us~”

One AssClass headcannon that I always had and try to put in my fanfictions is that Gakushuu genuinely dislike Rio and Ren is absolutely terrified by her. The idea is hilarious to me.
Gakushuu would be able to befriend some of Karma's friends (Nagisa, Kanzaki, Okuda) and tolarate others (Kayano, Sugino) but would NOT like Rio. Mostly because she's too much like Karma (smart but demonic), and also because she's not afraid of him and does not respect him at all. The others of the assassin squad would be like "we should be a careful of what we say in front of the Student Council President/son of the former chairman" (even though they're not in Kunigaoka Junior High anymore) but Rio wouldn't care about it, she wouldn't hesitate to make fun of him and try to take embarassing pictures of him (which she would trade with Karma)
And Ren doesn't simply hate her, he's fucking scared of her. The reason is that during their first or second year of Junior High, he dumped/rejected one of her friend so to avenge her, she decided to win his heart. It wasn't very complicated given than Ren would flirt with any pretty girl he met, and Rio knew she was fine. So, she caught his attention, pretended to be flattered when he approached her, let him confess, and... absolutely humiliated him in front of the whole class. And after that she was dedicated to prank him every day for a week to the point that he'd run away at the opposite side of the school whenever he'd see her. She terrorized him and even after they graduated and went to different High School, he's still traumatized by that. So when Gakushuu and Karma started dating and those two's friend groups started to merge a bit, it became a living hell for Ren.
He'd get startled every time she'd talk to him and she'd catch on very quick and start to play with that. Karma would find this hilarious. Gakushuu would find this ridiculous.

Hair Trigger
Shippy gen, Korekishi Eugene & Shishikuno Mogari, 2.6k words
Three times Mogari refused to acknowledge his love for Korekishi's hair and one time he did.
Or, is it gay to play with your friend's hair?
Cross posted on ao3:
1.
The first time he really takes notice of Korekishi's hair is at one of their sleepovers. Because before that, Korekishi's hair was just, you know, hair. Regular, boring hair that was always tied up in its signature updo—sometimes in class, Mogari would watch as strands of hair slipped out of position and fell into his face, obscuring his vision and tickling the tip of his nose. When that happened Korekishi would blow at them fruitlessly, eventually giving up to go back to taking studious notes.
Alright, so maybe he had taken notice a little while ago, but before the sleepover it was never…weird.
They had all gathered at ‘Zaki's house—their usual spot after going there the first time—and were settled in for bed. The three of them were on the floor, Kanzaki refusing to give up his bed even though there was plenty of room (Kanzaki wasn't at all amused by his begging). Tamon had taken the only spare futon—the result of a winning rock, paper, scissors gane—cozied up in the corner so he had plenty of room for his long limbs. That left Mogari and Korekishi to share some extra blankets and pillows that they had found in the closet, haphazardly thrown together and strewn across the floor, yet still surprisingly comfy.
Korekishi was facing the wall and Mogari was facing him. Because of that he was able to get a face full of Mogari's long hair—much longer than he had previously thought. In fact, with both his hair down and glasses off, Mogari thought that Korekishi looked pretty different. He was mildly shocked when he saw him walk out of the bathroom after doing his nightly routine. It wasn't a bad difference either. He wasn’t quite sure what to think.
But he did know what he was thinking now. He thought that his hair looked pretty damn soft. And that was a totally normal thing to think about your friend's hair. Well, not that he would know since he never had friends his age, but he figured it couldn’t be that weird. And so it also wouldn't be weird to just reach out and…
His hair really was as soft as it looked. Mogari let the silky orange strands run across his curled fingers, letting go as he reached the end. His initial touch was feather-light, still hesitant and careful of waking Korekishi up. But as he continued to gently run his hands through his hair and he failed to awaken, Mogari felt bold enough to begin touching closer to the roots and with a slightly firmer grasp. Eventually, it got to the point where he was only touching the roots, essentially petting him.
The activity was so relaxing that Mogari found his eyes drifting shut, hands still buried in Korekishi's hair. But he was awakened with a jolt when Korekishi started to shift, letting out a pleased hum and moving his head backwards into Mogari's hand.
Mogari had lost any trace of drowsiness and now laid in the dark, eyes wide open and heart beating rapidly. His hands had frozen in Korekishi's hair as well, too afraid to move and pull him into wakefulness.
With extreme trepidation, he cautiously pulled his hands away from Korekishi's scalp, and—ignoring the boy's sad sleepy sound from the loss—shifted so he was laying on his back. He forcefully shoved his hands under his butt, trapping them there so they didn't start misbehaving again. As he stared up at the ceiling, the ambience of the night broken up by soft breathing and the occasional sleepy murmur, he had the vague feeling that he might be screwed.
—
Well everyone has weird nights!
That’s what he told himself the morning after anyway, nodding off over breakfast courtesy of a sleepless night.
And again, it wasn’t crazy weird or anything. Mogari saw the girls in class playing with each other's hair all the time. Granted, he had never seen any of the boys do it, but most boys also didn't have hair as long and as tempting as Korekishi.
He nodded along to his own reassurances, content now that he knew he wasn't being weird at all. Certainly nothing to lose sleep over.
And speaking of losing sleep, he really regretted how he spent his night a few moments later when he fully face-planted into his breakfast. Those other jerks only laughed at him, not even bothering to pull his head out of his plate.
He found grains of rice in his hair for the rest of the day.
—
2.
For about a week, he was able to control his weird—or totally normal—urges.
It was definitely a chore to resist, the pieces of hair that fell into Korekishi's face during class more distracting than ever. But if he could eat a thousand ghosts in a year, then he could muster up the discipline to not touch his friend's hair.
But was it really a matter of discipline when they were sitting on the steps outside the school, Korekishi on the step below him, leaning back onto Mogari's legs? He and ‘Zaki were sitting next to each other, holding a manga between themselves while Tamon sat on the same step as Mogari, both of them looking over the others’ shoulders so they could all read together. Honestly not the best way to read. Korekishi always finished reading first and would try to turn the page, being stopped by all the others complaining that they hadn't finished reading. Ordinarily, Mogari would be the last to finish—which was kind of annoying on its own, since they always had to wait on him to finish which took some of the enjoyment out of it—but now he wasn't reading at all. When they turned the page he didn't complain, not having read anything for at least the whole past chapter.
Instead, he was stealing glances at the back of Korekishi's head, hands twitching and fidgeting.
Eventually he just decided to throw caution to the wind and go for it. It wasn't weird after all.
Trying not to overthink it, he brought his hands up to Korekishi's head, running his fingers through it just like he did that one night.
When he did, Korekishi jumped slightly at the sudden contact, surely making a confused expression that was hidden from Mogari's sight, but after a few moments he settled back into the reading, even leaning back towards Mogari to give him better access.
With the unspoken acceptance, Mogari felt a lot more comfortable than the night of the sleepover, taking advantage of the free reign he was given of Korekishi's head. He would part the hair one way and then another, aimlessly messing with it just for the sake of it. At one point he started trying to braid his hair, although trying to accomplish that with no real knowledge and only going off the sight of braids he'd seen in girls’ hair proved to be an impossible feat.
While undoing the knots he had caused by the failed braid, he ran his hands through his hair soothingly in apology, trying not to tug too hard. He didn't want to give him a reason to make him stop after all.
He finally seemed to find something Korekishi really enjoyed, though, when he started to scratch his scalp like in some ASMR videos he had watched—a new corner of the internet he had become privy to recently. As he started working his fingernails across his scalp and down the nape of his neck, Korekishi let out a barely noticeable appreciative sigh, shoulders relaxing even further.
The sound drew the attention of the others, who had noted the sudden head massage, but chose to ignore it earlier. Tamon and Kanzaki tossed each other a look, both the other boys completely oblivious—Korekishi still peering down at the comic and looking on the verge of drifting to sleep and Mogari focused solely on the back of Korekishi's head. They had a quick debate with only their eyes, thinking about whether or not they should question the weird behavior, before ultimately deciding not to mention it and going back to reading as if nothing was happening.
The behavior continued for the rest of the afternoon as they finished their comic, sun eventually dipping beneath the tree line and painting the city in a warm orange glow. As they all eventually parted for the night, Mogari walked off with his fingers and mind still tingling, unable to shake the feeling of hair like soft downy feathers.
—
3.
With time, they had fallen into a sort of routine.
It was one that left the rest of their classmates staring at them with barely hidden bafflement and judgemental looks—though Mogari had already grown long used to those. From his very limited high school experience he had found that teenagers don’t take kindly to loud, interrupting voices, discussions of ghosts, or the general eccentricities of him and his friends. But as long as they weren’t bothering him, he didn’t really care what kind of looks they were giving him.
Like when he positioned his desk behind Korekishi’s and began to braid his hair in class. Both Kanaki and Tamon had grown used to Korekishi leaving class with a new hairstyle than the one he came to school with as Mogari became more experimental and talented at hairstyling.
He would never admit how much time he started to spend watching hair tutorials on YouTube and Pinterest, blue light illuminating and burning his eyes in his dark room. But, on the bright side, if the whole exorcism thing didn’t work out, he had a promising future as a cosmetologist!
All of this was still happening without any verbal acknowledgement, however. Even though he knew he had no room to judge, Mogari did think it was a little weird that Korekishi didn’t even mention it once, especially considering he was always the first to call out any stupid thing Mogari was doing.
But he supposed it wasn’t a problem that no one was mentioning it. Yep. Not a problem at all! Besides the fact that he didn’t exactly know where he stood now, spending more and more time looking at his friend in class (It wasn't his fault if Korekishi was sitting right in front of him) and even starting to think about him outside of class (thinking of new hairstyles, of course). Definitely not a problem.
“Hey! If you want to braid each other’s hair and paint your nails together, do it after class!” Their teacher yelled from the front of the room, shocking Mogari out of his reverie.
Korekishi also jumped, having been dutifully taking his notes as he let Mogari play with his hair.
The whole class now turned to them, some giggling under their breath while others looked at them in thinly veiled disgust. Mogari quickly jumped to attention, saluting with a “Yes, sir!” before clenching his fists together under his desk.
In front of him, he could see Korekishi’s ears turn red, likely from embarrassment from being caught. As funny as that was, Mogari found himself smiling softly at the sight, he didn’t really want to embarrass his friend. He had already caused him enough ridicule by his peers with the entrance ceremony incident. He should probably get his act together. For real this time. No, really, he’s serious now.
—
+1.
Korekishi and his friends found themselves at an old-fashioned American style diner, having just defeated an evil spirit that was haunting the town’s sewage system—it was one of the few times he was glad for not having any psychic powers, allowing him to claim the spot of lookout and not having to enter the sewers. He didn’t believe Mogari’s “It’s surprisingly clean!” for a second.
They were all squeezed into a booth, squishy red seats cracked and peeling and arms resting on a table with one short leg, causing it to shift every time they moved.
They were some of the only people in there, though Korekishi thought he might’ve seen the student council president in a baseball cap at the bar, so they were able to be plenty loud. They had been there for hours before Kanzaki suddenly said he was going to the bathroom. Right after that, Tamon said he was going to mess with the old jukebox that sat in the corner of the diner, which had been playing an endless loop of Elvis Presley (if Korekishi had to hear Hound Dog one more time, so help him God…).
Only Korekishi and Mogari were left in the booth, sitting across from each other. They fell into a peaceful silence, Korekishi finishing off Kanzaki’s fries as Mogari was on his 6th—or was it 7th?—burger.
As Korekishi popped the last fry into his mouth, however, Mogari broke the silence with a sudden, unexpected question.
“Korekishi…why do you let me play with your hair?” He tentatively asked, eyes averted and a slight dusting of pink across his cheeks.
He was taken aback by the question, thinking that they weren’t going to ever acknowledge it. Ever since the time Mogari had started playing with his hair at the sleepover, he had resigned himself to gentle, if a bit awkward, hands playing with his hair silently. Frankly, the reason he didn’t stop the behavior was because it felt good. It reminded him of the times his grandmother would run her hands through his hair, always cooing at how long it was getting and how soft it was.
He held those memories very dear to him, which is why he never cut his hair short. He wasn’t going to complain if somebody else seemed to find…enjoyment from the fact.
“Why would I stop you?” He asked simply. He knew that some of their classmates didn’t approve, considering it too girly for their tastes. He knew what they really meant. But he had never taken Mogari to be someone who cared deeply about strangers’ opinions. He wondered if that was really where the question was coming from.
“Well, you don’t think it’s, you know. Weird or anything?”
In the background, Korekishi could hear Lesley Gore come on, audio a bit glitchy from the ancient jukebox. The window blinds cast a pattern of slitted light across Mogari’s face, making his skin glow and his eyes change from a deep maroon to a bright ruby red. He looked worried, biting his lip and looking up at Korekishi with pleading eyes.
Korekishi shifted to rest his chin in an upturned palm, darting his eyes away in thought and to avoid looking into Mogari’s puppy dog eyes, face getting ever so slightly warmer. “No, not really. It feels really nice and I don’t have a problem with it. If you also don’t care then I don’t see why it’s an issue. Who cares what other people think?”
Mogari looked shocked for a hesitant second, before breaking out into a wide smile, all teeth bared. “Oh, thank goodness! I was really nervous for a while there, but I guess you’re right.”
Korekishi was glad that the miscommunication was cleared up, just in time for Kanzaki to walk out of the bathroom and join them at the table again. Feeling much more comfortable talking about it, Mogari began to show Korekishi some of the hairstyles that he had looked up (he knew he was getting them off the internet), and laughed imagining Korekishi in some of the more ridiculous ones.
Eventually Tamon came over at the commotion, and both him and Kanzaki realized what they were laughing over. Weirdly enough, both of them let out a relieved sigh when they found out.
“Oh, thank God you guys are finally talking about it.” Kanzaki said, shoulders dropping with the relief of not having to deal with their weird unspoken back-and-forth any longer.
And if their classmates continued to give them odd looks, well, who really gives a shit?

Ryuki thoughts compiled
background and wishes
sudo: a detective, allegedly, in the past running unsavory criminal practices with kaga-san. kaga asks for a larger cut, so sudo plasters him into a wall. enthralled by the idea of "standing at the top" as a rider
kitaoka: crooked embezzling lawyer in it for money and status. flirts with women while gay married. shame. wish is to live forever. cure his illness. he is afraid of death
shinji: found deck by chance, and became a rider to find the truth. to protect people. her wish became to seal the mirror world and end the rider fight.
ren: bad attitude, only made enemies. cute girlfriend tho. eri was sacrificed on kanzaki's experiment and only clings to life. Ren fights for the possibility of reviving her, instead of taking his anger out on kanzaki. p hateable tho imo.
shibaura: cunty gamer businessman who takes over OREJournal to imitate the rider fight as a game between normies, to control their hearts. son of president shibaura. nepobaby rampage
tezuka: fortune teller who wants to change the fates of the riders, kanzaki himself, and... pride
asakura: violent crimnal who joins to get himself out of an earned sentence and enact his hatred upon the world that "looks down on him". finds his jacket in an american war store. cops piss him off because they have authority over him
satoru: wants to be a hero, wans to prove his brand of forced heroism is correct above all others. wants to win the rider fight to become a true hero
sano-kun: "I'm unlucky." Bitch. doesn't care about other's lives, just his next paycheck. Temporarily embarassed nepobaby. his wish may have been to be "happy", but it was actually to have a literally richer life
kanzaki: abused child who exists just to keep his sister alive. is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve this.
look at all the drama. is it worth it?
eri in this post is dead in the sense of deadwifisms i know she was just in a coma (that is to be elaborated on) - also what the fuck ren (i know why) and despite (no. because of this) ren is not man enough. he is weak, so he runs to something worse, which is asakura. at this point, manhood is all he has. he literally lashes out at shinji for suggesting there may be another way. ren sets asakura on shinji because he can't kill him himself. and asakura continues to be a force of this ... raw masculinity in how it relates to violence. he is "free", but he's being chased down by the police and has been forced into hiding despite his newfound power. when ren realizes this fact about him, that he has no noble reason for being part of the fight, he just craves the system's violence, he wonders how he could ever, even briefly, have wanted to be like asakura. asakura is the epitome of what's going on in the rider war.
he's so perfect for it that kanzaki specifically hunted him down to speed the fight up. is that what you want to be, ren? of course when shinji comes to take ren's motivation seriously, this choice bites ren right in the ass! you wanted asakura to kill shinji for you? so you didn't have to? because asakura is more contemptable? someone you would rather kill?
shinji may not understand whats going on yet exactly, but she wants to take all of it as seriously as possible. she's not trying to understmine anyone's feelings, and by taking the fight seriously, it gets easier to see why one's desperation may take hold to such an extent. to understand the underlying mechanisms. See Post Above. Look at all the drama.
"why is shinji eris standin. already. LOL." nobody knows rens fighting for eri. but kitaoka knows ren is "sacrificing for someone else", especially by contrasting that with the fact he, kitaoka, only fights for himself, and thats what makes him strong. (except he does love his gorochan 🙄). tezukas constantly calling ren out on caring about shinji despite (or because of) his silences and self-flagellation, which is the same way ren acts abt eri, minus being a tsundere asshole. only shinji gets that, tho id Love to see how ren acted when he and eri met. asakura knows (now, at least) that while ren was trying to get him to fight shinji, ren got directly involved and saved her instead. every other rider thinks rens a gay idiot also. for shinji. its like every other rider can see it except ren.
this part is also the second instance of ren bringing up a debt to indicate he cares about someone, in this case its that he owes shinji, but isnt going to let shinjis debt be repaid so simply. (what would tie them together at this point otherwise)
shinji decides its better to go from the outside and attempt to change the other riders as people as opposed to changing them as riders, which id say even at this point is already in the works because of a certain akiyama beside her. that empathy does not exist in anyone else. even though ren's change inspired this. not even a slightly more outwardly kind ren can see this working, only shinji. notably, yui has the same idea.
the time vent episode is great even beyond the obvious because it shows kanzakis motivations very clearly. the card is used after reiko discovers shiros face in a security tape and tells yui shiro died last year, in america. so maybe, one might come to the conclusion that kanzaki wants to make sure reiko doesnt find that out OR so she doesnt tell yui even if she does, and yui doesnt have to know the truth about shiro (preferably ever). but you find out at the end of the episode it was never about that, despite him saying so ("As long as you never find out the truth.") the episode before. it was about a single drawing from their childhood that had gotten wet after yui knocked over a full vase. what ryuki tells us with this one move is what shiro is fighting for is not yui as she exists now. what shiro is fighting for is yui as she existed in their childhood. he is willing to do anything to... turn back the clock, one could say. he is chasing a decade old memory and is trapped in the past while trying to keep control of the future.
but going back to earlier, in regards to asakura being the pinnacle of male violence, saving mika, regardless of reasoning, proves he is not a monster though he never was, he's just as human as any of the others, of course. hes literally never been a mindless animal. she is the only one that did not survive the first trip, and he stayed with her the entire time and did not attack her. again, the reason doesnt matter here: even the worst people can have their good points. people are not black and white. later, he even proves to have some sort of honor in regards to who and what and when he attacks, at least when it comes to the rider battle. like shinji says, nobody is better off dead. this, too, is the ethos of ryuki.
Tell me more about how your dead girlfriend hates cycles you can't get off, Ren.
ren asking to fight shinji immediately after shiro uses eri's health (and fucking bugging him again, jackass) to get him to fight more- so ren doesnt get so attached to shinji he runs the risk of waking up one day and realizing he cant even bear to lift his sword against her anymore. and the worst part is, in rens eyes, theres no possible way their friendship could ever end well. but to shinji, who believes in a way out, even if she can't quite see exactly what it is yet (though she tries so hard to get there, to that unknowable future) she tries so hard to be not only ren's friend but everyone elses, even in the depths of their despair. and this is after ren talks about eri being afraid of the people she loves vanishing on the merry-go-round, where his urgency to fight leaves yui left behind. so blinded by his fear and the cycle telling his ass to get a move on. yui may be an adult to him, but yui is shiro's eri, and still someone ren cares about, it's just another way that the rider battle steps all over Eri's (and Yui's, and...!) desire for peace.
back to the deadwifisms: it IS actually important that eri was just in a coma and not actually dead, because it means there was a chance of her waking up before the time limit passed, without ren becoming the embodiment of The Thing That Killed Her. he also has to go greet her, newly awakened, covered in blood and injuries badly taken care of, so even if he runs from her he cant hide what he chose to do against her wishes. (the deadness comes also from the doctors anticipating her dying in her coma.) and now that what ren was fighting for came true before the timer, he has to keep fighting anyway to keep darkwing from eating him (which is such a metaphor. buying into the cycle of violence means breaking from it is not so easy, what a concept)
she does note his expression has gotten kinder, but who is the one who made him softer? and even then, hes not communicating anything to that person or yui. even if hes changed, its not nearly enough to save him from the cycle.
the show also constantly displays that normal people can see whats going on in the mirror world, and that means all of this goes on right under everyone's noses. these systems and cycles repeat because nobody looks hard enough. nobody digs deep enough to realize whats going on underneath (luckily OREjournal is on the case!)
the trolley problem is bullshit, also. in general, but also in this case. if yui died, shiro could bring her back any number of ways, from time vent to the rider battle wish. not that the 401 lab knows that... but this is used further to combat shinjis idealism: "Those who don't have the courage to risk something shouldn't be riders." why is risking her life not enough? why should she have to have some grand ideal? is valuing human life not enough?
in this way tojo works as a good foil to shinji, in that he takes every lesson in so-called heroism and tries to forcefully became a hero by checking off guidelines. hes trying to do what he thinks is right, sure. but so is everyone. again, why is his wish more important than anyone else's? shinji doesnt want anything except for the fighting to stop. shinji wants to save everyone she can, is a hero by accident. she is magnetic even while being called an idiot. but people dont like satoru. the only person who really did to any degree was kagawa, and satoru killed him with his own hands.
and then sano for ren. sano got his wish before the battle ended, and he thought he could just leave (ren was never under this assumption). sano thought this was all a game, where it never was for ren. even after eri woke up, it was life for death. but this is another person who was drawn in when he should have just been patient and waited things out instead of immediately jumping into the easy way out. should have let the future take its couse instead of rushing things with violence. but once you join, you cant leave so easily. it will not let you go, even if you make a hasty decision, or you were just playing around.
You are culpable of the violence you perpetuate, no matter the reason.
especially in satosano's cases. so killing people is how you become the person you want to be? so your wish is granted on its own and you immediately start treating others the way you didnt want to be treated? you "Just wanted to be happy"? BULLSHIT! when your happiness is predicated on using and abusing others, you dont get to ask what you did.
here is another instance of ren using debts to not admit he cares, also. he saves kitaoka instead of making the more "wise" decision of letting tojo kill him. kitaoka notices the illness is making him weaker, though he doesnt want to admit it. he muses on what ren's already left behind, that he wishes he were more like asakura. cold and unfeeling. but he doesnt hold onto this for long, instead subtly wishing goro would move on in anticipation of his upcoming death. he doesnt even really want to fight anymore, just feels the responsibility of asakura remaining in the fight- but goro doesnt want to leave kitaoka behind, or to leave his business unfinished in the wake of.
where satorus unthinking act of heroism saves a man and his child.
but shinji gets pushed to the brink finally, because of yuis impending death, and tries taking on anyone and everyone. ren, who she cant hurt. kitaoka, who doesnt want to. asakura, who she cant find. when shinji's not man enough, everyone tells her to be. but when she tries to be, everyone pities her and wont engage. why, when its what everyone wanted? why would nobody listen until she got pushed to the brink? (because you finally got through to them.)
but. she clears her head and comes back to herself. and shes the only one standing up for yui's wishes at the very end. that she deserves to live or die on her own terms, where ren is arguing being alive is more important than her wanting her to be. but you can see he always had compatibility with shinji's way of thinking, even if he was a silent brooding tsundere who never admitted it- once you die, its all over. and living means you have a future, even if you dont want to be alive. but shinji would rather her make her own choices with her own dignity, especially because theyve both wanted the fighting to stop this whole time. if this really does hinge on her, its her place to tell everyone to stop.
yui passes urging shiro to stop the violence.
shinji passes, finally having made up her mind on her wish. wanting to seal the mirror world, to end the violence, even if it means others cant fight for their desires. despite rens insistence she lives, that shes the only one who can end everything, she goes.
kitaoka passes, loved.
gorou passes, loving.
asakura goes down, and at least hes proudly himself.
ren fights for eri AND shinji at the end, the woman who inspired him to fight and the woman who inspired him to live, but dies without taking the wish at the very end, tearing the necklace of promise off his neck and giving eri their rings, dying next to her while she wakes up anyway.
and shiro doesnt want to let go, because in the end hes still that child who is begging for his sister to wake up, but she insists theyll always be together, and neither of them will never be alone again. so this time, they should draw a world without monsters, where everyone is happy and together.
and he grants her wish.
so. this is a show about wishes. about fate and defying it. about looking to the future instead of being stuck in the past. about grief and loss. about the cycles of violence that undercut our world, and the value of any human life not being greater or lesser than any other. the cast of ryuki are men who want some sort of power to live a life different than the one they have, and a spanner in the works who wants to remind them that a human life is a heavy price to pay for any wish. an anomaly that reminds them there is another way out. a girl who thinks harder than she believes, has a smile like the sun, and holds a heart bigger than the system can tolerate.
just live. dont try to take any others time away. through the stress and the worry, through all the bad and the end that comes for us all, why extend the pain with more strife? violence only leads to more violence. appreciate the time you have. try to imagine a kinder world instead, one where everyone can be happy.

Inosuke Hashibira: Hogwarts AU
Inosuke Hashibira is a Pureblood wizard that was born on the 22nd of April 1980 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1991, being sorted into Gryffindor House.
He spend his first year of life with his mother and his abusive father until his mother ran away with Inosuke with them eventually being taken in by a vampire named Doma who his mother eventually married which not only gave him a step-father but also two step-siblings.
But eventually his mother was killed by Muzan because she turned his step-father soft and while Douma was ordered to kill Inosuke, Kotoha had already send him away down a stream in a basket in an attempt to save his life.
He was eventually found by a centaur who raised him as her own som despite getting kicked out of the herd for it but was later adopted by muggles who took him in after his adopted mother died with his foster parents often laughing about their foster son's stories about his horse-mother who could read the stars.
They did start to believe him though when he was accepted at Hogwarts and they found out that centaurs existed but they were also worried that Inosuke would be alone at a boarding school since he had never really been popular with the other kids at his previous schools.
But they didn't need to worry since he quickly became best friends with Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Kanao Tsuyuri, Genya Shinazugawa and Aoi Kanzaki during his first year and then Nezuko Kamado during his third.
He was, surprisingly, also one of the most talented students in his year for Transfiguration and he managed to become an Animagus in his 5th year thanks to his skills with his form being that of a boar.
In his fifth year, he also became a member of Makarov's Army due to his wish of wanting to become stronger and being able to fight against the Death Eaters while being completely unaware that three of them used to be his family and thought that he had been dead for years.
He eventually went on the run with his friends to find Muzan Kibutsuji's horcruxes and he often accompanied Genya during his "time of the month" to make sure that he didn't hurt himself or anyone while transformed.
He eventually participated in the Battle of Hogwarts which he survived and also helped with the defeat of Douma, the Shabana siblings and Muzan but unbeknownst to him, the first three had actually let him win since they didn't want to hurt the boy who had been like a son/little brother to them.
It was only after the battle that he found out the truth about his past; his abusive biological father, his mother running away, his step-siblings, which brought him much sorrow over realizing that he had lost his whole family without even knowing that he ever had one.
After the Battle of Hogwarts were over, he started working as a Curse Breaker for Gringotts and got married to Aoi who he had one son together with.
He had a Blackthorn wand with a Phoenix Feather core.
His Patronus is a Boar.
His favorite subjects are Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration.
His favorite subjects are History of Magic and Arithmancy.

Ensemble - 112: Anomaly
Souma: Oh? This sure is mysterious…
[Read on my blog for the best viewing experience with Oi~ssu ♪]
Location: Outdoor Stage
Souma: Oh? This sure is mysterious…
I wonder what it is, why is there a crowd? This place is supposed to be one of the most remote and unpopular places in Yumenosaki Academy!
The amount of people isn't inferior to the other stages—not only that, there seems to be an even bigger crowd!
Does that mean the aidorus performing here are that excellent? Is it even possible for there to be another reason…?
Perhaps it's war. I see, it's war! I'm itching to participate, it makes my blood boil!
Kuro: Calm down, Kanzaki. You're not a dog, there's no reason for you to get excited like this. Also, stop unsheathing your sword.
Keito: Yes. We are supposed to be the ones maintaining the order. So it would truly be like putting the cart before the horse if we were to cause panic by losing our composure. You should reflect on your actions, Kanzaki.
Souma: I got double-chastised!? But this is an irregular situation!
Keito: I agree. Hmm… We went out of our way to overlook the circumstances and send him off, but I'm worried if Isara can even reach the stage.
Well, it might be due to Isara that this situation came to be.
Kuro: I wonder. You can't see the stage from here so you can't be certain.
Nonetheless, you sure were kind there, mister vice-president. To think you would so easily let go of the fighting power you generously took in.
Keito: Never call me 'kind' again, Kiryu. I just made a logical decision.
AKATSUKI is a unit that works with a select few. Adding a wanderer would only mess up our rhythm.
I have countless reasons, both big and small. Even if you needed an explanation, wouldn't it be too stingy of me to express my opinions precisely?
Kuro: Aah, how irritating. Your talks are always way too long, can't you just tell me vaguely?
You must have just 'wanted' to do this. Isn't it fine to leave it at that?
Keito: Hmph… If you think like that, you shouldn't have asked me in the first place. I need Trickstar to be in a perfect condition, I won't allow them to run away after winning.
Sooner or later AKATSUKI will defeat Trickstar fair and square, after they all showed their best performance.
I would be troubled if they disappear before we can. That's all.
Kuro: Hehe ♪ Nice, you're also a man at heart.
Souma: As expected of Hasumi-dono! You properly understand the meaning of the code of chivalry…☆
Keito: You're noisy. What's more important right now is that there is too much of an audience in such a cramped space.
If someone even just trips a little, it might very well turn it into uncontrollable chaos, so patrol with caution.
Good preparation reduces the coming difficulties. Although Eichi and I differ in that aspect.
(Why did Eichi organize the DDD and throw away the largely desired representative title for the SS?)
(What are you scheming? Where is the meaning in all of this?)
(You are causing unnecessary uproar and having everyone make a big fuss for no reason. If that's really the case, you would be a tyrant, you know?)
(Could it be he… No, for now I should avoid thinking about it.)
(I will just solemnly complete the work in front of me. I am Eichi's right hand. A right hand doesn't think, regardless of what results this DDD may bring.)
(I'm sure you must have foreseen this as well, haven't you, Eichi?)
