So we know that Zayne speaks a language that MC doesn't. My headcanon is that he knows all the languages that the game is dubbed in while MC is only fluent in the languages we, the players, know

So in addition to him purposely making his handwriting even worse when he gives her a love letter, I can also see him writing an entire letter in the language she's trying to learn

Sometimes using really difficult words that no beginner would know just to tease her

But also for the same reason he'd make his writing worse - so she would come to him and ask him to read it to her

Toji Fushiguro would flick them off your bed without a second thought. This man does not care. He’s so mean to all of them and probably laughs when you pick them up while glaring at him until he realises he messed up. Are you slightly intimidating right now? Absolutely. Toji better run for hurting your precious babies. Gets you like 30 more as an apology and uses them as a shield if you’re still upset.

Satoru Gojo would tease the heck out of you for having plushies and needing to sleep with them, he’s a little jealous of them honestly, for being able to be with you so much of the time. Still, Satoru sits and asks you to introduce them all to him, and he’s committed each name and face of your plushies to memory. He even buys you new ones back from missions in places you’ve never been before.

Kento Nanami doesn’t mind your plushies too much. Logically, he knows that they’re comforting to you and is completely understanding about it. Kento reasons that they’re something for you to snuggle with when he can’t snuggle with you, and he’s honestly grateful that you can have that comfort even when he can’t give it to you.

Megumi Fushiguro has a photo of you cuddling a plushie as his lockscreen. Is he a little salty when you’re hanging out nad you’re grasping the plushie instead of him? Absolutely. Is he going to admit that? No. Megumi is another person who’ll buy you plushies for the sole purpose of seeing you smile, no matter how big or small the plush is or how expensive, if it makes you smile, that’s all that’s important.

Yakuza!Hashira AU Thoughts

This has been floating in my head for a very long time and I finally compiled my thoughts on what role would each Hashira play if they were in a yakuza group. ...I also didn't research too heavily into the actual structure of the yakuza so please don't come at me for that lol Feel free to use these ideas also, but I'd love to read or see what you do with them.

Beware of long post- don't say I didn't warn you.

These ideas play more into the chivalry aspect of Yakuza. The government has too much red tape and is unable to enforce any meaningful rules or changes in the community.  They also cannot be mobilized as fast as the yakuza, who often take matters into their own hands to provide immediate results.  The government/police view the other yakuza and the underworld as a necessary evil and impossible to truly eradicate, and would much rather deal with the Ubuyashiki's group because they are much more reasonable...but every once in a while they need to be reminded why the Ubuyashiki Group has lasted for centuries.

The Ubuyashiki group is an old, powerful group in the Underworld, but not the oldest- that would belong to the 12 Kizuki group that is run by Muzan Kibutsuji.  The Ubuyashiki group was a sub sect of the Kizuki group a century ago, but in a violent and bloody revolt, they separated and ruled over a different area instead.  They have clashed multiple times throughout history, but time and modern technology has mellowed out their conflict into a small but intense rivalry. 

Ubuyashiki clan: 

Kagaya Ubuyashiki: The sickly but charismatic head of the clan, assisted by his wife Amane who steps in during days when he is too sick.  (Please note that Kagaya is older for the sake of this AU.)

Usually women are not held in high regard amongst yakuza, but in the Ubuyashiki clan, women are treated as equal.  Amane is a true partner and extension of Kagaya’s will. Between Kagaya’s incredible foresight and direction, and Amane’s poise and organization, they have built the Ubuyashiki clan to its strongest point in its entire history.   Other Yakuza clans have tried to slow the explosive growth of their clan by dismissing Amane during meetings when she is present, but she is fiercely defended by all of the Hashira. 

Gyomei-  Second in command; Punishment / Rule enforcer.   He is the external representative when it's too dangerous for Lady Amane to fill in for Kagaya.   When Kagaya is present, he acts as the main bodyguard. He is the most trusted confidant for both Amane and Kagaya, and will occasionally watch their kids so they can have a date within the compound. 

Gyomei had grown up in an orphanage where food was regularly witheld as a form as punishment, and funds were embezzled to fund the principal's lavish lifestyle. Gyomei relied heavily on religion to give hope to the other children and stay strong in the cruel environment they lived in. Gyomei would often go hungry to give food to the smaller kids, and used his tall build to physically shield them when the adults would vent out their frustrations on them. It was during such a night when one of the "caretakers" was in a violent, drunken spree and Gyomei was forced into a life or death situation. In that moment, he chose to save the children and himself-and beat the attacker to death with his bare hands.

Ubuyashiki's group happened to arrive that evening, intending to collect the gambling debts of the principal and other staff, even ready to charge a higher rate after discovering the origin of the funds and the extent of the abuse- but walked into a homicide scene instead. Kagaya sensed the physical and emotional strength within Gyomei, who had resolved himself to be turned in to the police for his crime, and convinced Gyomei to join his group in exchange for taking over the management of the orphanage and covering up the death of the caretaker.

10 years later, he is akin to a judge with the highest level of authority within the Group (other than Kagaya and Amane) to decide how punishment is to be rendered or how a high level conflict is to be resolved, especially for internal matters or people within their own organization. Despite his intimidating presence and powerful frame, he is patient and fair. He is diligently follows the laws that Kagaya put in place, and continues to be pious despite the sometimes gruesome nature of his job. He has a large, intricate tattoo of a serene Buddha on his back.

Sanemi- main external punishment enforcer.  In charge of handling external conflicts with rival groups, or hunting down people with outstanding debts to the group. Leads the most violent group and is well known on the streets and instantly recognizable from all the scars he has gained from the many fights he had been involved in through the years. Sanemi also has connections with the police department via Genya, who works for the police department with his friends, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. 

Sanemi was desperate to keep his family afloat after the death of his abusive father and taking care of his mother, who had become mentally unwell. Sanemi had found himself in a similar situation to Gyomei- forced to save his family one night, wrestling with his mother to prevent her from hurting her own children during an unusual fit of violent mania. It had happened so quickly that no one could tell what happened. She might have tripped over the futon; or perhaps she lost her footing on the tatami mat or on the slick pool of blood that had dripped from Genya's facial wound- but regardless of how, she ended up falling out of their 4 story apartment window and slipping into a coma after crashing onto the roof of a parked car.

With the medical debts rising and already saddled with the debts from his deceased father, Sanemi turned to the Yakuza to get cash quick and take care of the immediate needs of their family, and eventually he would discretely pay for his mother's hospital bills under the guise of a charity organization. Knowing that any association with the yakuza could harm the wellbeing and social standing of his siblings, Sanemi intentionally lashed out at them so they would leave and find new lives elsewhere. Only Genya stayed, worried about his brother and knowing that he shouldered their entire family burden. Sanemi continued to harshly push away Genya to keep him away from the Underworld, and nearly had an aneurysm when he saw Genya roaming around with a rival yakuza group- only to find out (courtesy of being tackled by Tanjiro lol) that Genya was working deep undercover for the police. Deep down, Sanemi is proud of his brother for finding his own way and having a legitimate job. Despite his angry bluster, Sanemi would take extra pains to secretly ensure Genya’s safety as he continues his undercover missions. (The rest of the Hashira know. They just don't say anything because they're tired of hearing him scream his denial.)

Tengen- head of information gathering.   He compiles reports to give to Kagaya/Amane.  His 3 wives are in charge of multiple avenues of information: one to keep track of internal investigations (alleged wrong doing, checking for spies, etc), 2 others for tailing people/undercover work, and processing all the data by working with Muichiro’s team. Tengen himself will go out on investigation missions if needed.   He also owns multiple high class escort clubs and bars, perfect grounds for finding the latest juicy gossip. He also runs several flashy entertainment companies ranging from legit show business to shell companies.

Muichiro- head of digital/cyber security and hacking.  A prodigy with an incredible ability to process information and create programs that can sift through an ungodly amount of data.  The team under Muichiro handles offensive cyber attacks and regular upkeep on their digital security.  Muichiro finds it fun to hack into some rival companies owned by the Kizuki Group and lock some of their accounts.  They know it's him because it forces them to play a near impossible password game...and it helps that there is a chibi icon of him with an akanbe expression.  Muichiro has caused them great financial pain because they have to keep buying more resources to get around his cyber attacks.

Obanai- Main arms dealer/broker.   Obanai uses his familial connection with the underworld to provide a steady supply of weapons and defensive supplies, and handles the logistics of securing the supply chain along with his partner and lover, Mitsuri. 

His family had been a sub group of the Ubuyashiki clan, choosing to follow the Ubuyashiki Group during the split with the Kizuki Group. They made many connections through the years, and would ruthlessly exploit anyone and everyone- including their own children. His family had become overly greedy and arrogant, believing their vast connections would help them succeed in overthrowing the previous head of the Ubuyashiki group, but they were discovered before the coup could be completed. They had tried to set up Obanai, their own child, as the instigator- but Kagaya, the young master who had taken charge of the incident on behalf of his father knew the truth: the person who had reported the family's misdeeds was Obanai himself, after catching wind of their plan to sacrifice him if their coup failed.

Obanai struggled for a while with the guilt of destroying his own family with his admission, but knew that it was the best action. Witnessing Mitsuri's positive outlook and her love of life allowed him to be at peace with his decision, easing the guilt of removing himself from a toxic family situation and finding joy in the small, quiet victories in daily living. He often wears a face mask because of a facial scar given by his family, a last form of physical torture before they were dispatched for good by Gyomei under Kagaya's orders. He also wears the face mask because mitsuri gave it to him and it was better than the wide strips of cloth he was using before.

Obanai dotes on his pet white snake, Kabamaru, who is often seen draped about his shoulders. There was a time when Gyomei was very upset because Kabamaru had gotten out of his room one evening and got dangerously close to some stray kittens that Gyomei was not so secretly fond of.

Mitsuri- head of supply and distributing; also manages legitimate cover front.   Her team works with Obanai to provide other basic supplies for the group and arranges transportation and  deliveries by using her food business to camouflage the underground trade. Was almost scouted to be a j-pop music idol but she liked food too much. 

It was for the better, because the company that tried to scout her was actually a front for adult films. They would pretend to hire young and beautiful girls with the promise of helping them debut as an idol girl group, only to exploit and traffic them. The management company that tried to scout Mitsuri tried to pressure her to sign with them by harassing her parent's small convenience store. Tengen, who has huge sway in the entertainment industry did not appreciate a small group having the audacity to try to do business in his territory, without even the courtesy of introducing themselves. Tengen and his wives ruthlessly exposed them after a week of research and inadvertently saved Mitsuri's parents.

Inspired by how cool Tengen and his wives were when they swooped in to save the day, Mitsuri decided she wanted to help prevent girls from falling for the same scheme that nearly ruined her. Her family also gave their thanks and decided to back the Ubuyashiki group, considering they saved their beloved daughter and responded faster than the police, who had dismissed them outright. Because of the nature of her role with the Group, she found herself working together with Obanai often. After months of courting, they officially became a couple.

Kyojuro- legitimate cover front; assists with finding other assets like promising business ventures, real estate, etc.  Has a great relation with the police force and within the community and city.   His business is sometimes used to help launder money, but he is far more useful being on the right side of the law. That isn't to say that Kyo isn't willing to get his hands dirty if it means the safety of the group and civilians- he is very competent and efficient in making rival groups disappear.

Kyo has an incredible buisness sense; he is able to quickly assess and rapidly consider the pros and cons of a situation, the boldness to confidently make a decision in the heat of the moment and with expert timing, and the foresight to create the opportunities to help himself or his clients shine.  Kyo is passionate about the community he serves, and wholeheartedly believes that building others up is how entire comunities grow exponentially. His companies often fund charities and law firms dedicated to helping low income victims find legal justice. He is regularly invited to speak at schools or colleges and other community functions to inspire others. Kyo is proud of his family's long history of working with the Ubuyashiki family to keep the balance between regular society and the underworld.   

Giyuu- Bookkeeper, Head of Finance.  He is in charge of keeping track of the money flow in and out of the group.  He is detail oriented and hard working. He has a hard time communicating his thoughts so he'd rather not speak much, but he doesn't mind other people's company.  Not easily swayed and hard to bribe, he takes his job seriously and efficiently. He is, however, weak towards acts of kindness or favors done for him, and will generously return those ten fold. Most department heads dislike him purely because they must constantly make their case on why they need more budget, and Giyuu makes them submit the proper paperwork and will review it meticulously, even sending the paperwork back if its incomplete and staring placidly back at the person who inevitably comes into his office yelling expletives at him for it.  The quarterly arguments with Sanemi regarding higher budgets for external raids are explosive, and Gyomei regularly needs to step in to settle Sanemi down.  

Kanae- Head of medical division.  Can also harvest organs with a smile :)  Is well connected and obtains medical supplies through their cover front organization called 'The Butterfly Mansion’, where they assist children in need for complicated medical cases.  Together with Shinobu, they’ve been able to make great medical advancements for childhood cures.   

Shinobu- drug maker/identifyer, responsible for identifying tampered or dangerous drugs. She is the head of the research and pharmaceutical division of The Butterfly Mansion. While the Ubuyashiki group does not prevent its sub groups from distributing drugs, there are rules that are heavily enforced: no distribution of tampered or mixed drugs, no selling to minors, and adults are responsible for their own debts.  If they can't pay, they go after any asset owned by the debtor.  If all they have left is the family, they can “negotiate” (still forcing, let's be real) with the family to work and payback the initial amount with a fixed interest and a payback time that depends on how badly the debtor fucked up.  Payback means working for the group as a servant/mule/supplier, or whatever capacity they feel they can assist with.  The Ubuyashiki group aren't the type to cut off fingers, (what good is a severed finger to them?), but they will beat your ass to teach a lesson.  Aoi and girls also work as internal supply distributors, and they assist with daily upkeep at the Butterfly Mansion.

Shinobu and Kanae were children of a wealthy doctor who was well respected in the medical community. Dr. Kocho believed in the oath he took as a doctor and did not turn away anyone in need of medical care. He was a secret friend to the previous head of the Ubuyashiki head, who had approached him to help his deathly sick son, Kagaya. While Dr. Kocho was unable to fully cure Kagaya and he would remain sickly for the rest of his life, he was at least out of danger of imminent death. Kagaya's father was moved by Dr. Kocho's dedication to his son despite being of a yakuza family, and they became life long friends. He even visited and celebrated with Dr. Kocho's family after Kanae and Shinobu were born. Kagaya's father avenged his friend by mercilessly destroying the group that had ambushed Dr. Kocho and kidnapped his daughters, and mobilizing his entire group to track down and secure the little girls. Gyomei was part of the group that infiltrated the enemy group and personally carried young Shinobu on his back and lead Kanae by the hand amidst an intense firefight, protecting them the entire way to the extraction point. From that point on, the two have been under the direct protection of the head of the Ubuyashiki Group.

Heya, babe! It has been a while! Hope you had a wonderful break. But hey, I absolutely can since this is my FAVOURITE KNY pairing of all time! I think Obanai and Kanae would be a cute ass fuck couple! Oh, don’t worry about the name! I named it myself;

ObaKana / Viper Bugloss AU

These two are like ObaMitsu, except it’s more chill since the pair are chill af. It’s quite emotional and it’s both relying on each other regularly. They are intimate lovers, connected in all ways deeply

They are equals. Obanai may express love through acts of service but Kanae performs acts of service back so it’s no longer one-sided. They both love each other deeply so they want each other comfortable and happy

Kanae wants Obanai to be friends with her girls. Yet, she is aware of his sensitivity to women so she tries her best to comfortably ease him into meeting her Butterfly Girls overtime and when he finally can. He’s the best big brother figure they could ask for

Kanae is an affectionate supportive girlfriend. She never leaves Obanai to be alone in public. She speaks up for him if he wishes and also gently encourages him. She is a sweet girlfriend whose never pushes Obanai into anything and will follow his own requests for his sake

Obanai’s a clingy possessive boyfriend, he is attached on Kanae almost all the time, giving her praise and affection, and whilst he knows she is very talented and skilled. He refuses to let any demon or man get close. He will lash out violently since he wants to protect her. She doesn’t mind, she finds it cute

Kanae tries her best to bend about to accomodate Obanai. She prefers them to have private dates but if Obanai says he wants to try public restaurants, both of them are going out and feeding each other at a table in the back

Obanai feels kinda pressured to show off his most sensitive insecurity but Kanae does NOT want to push him into anything so she reassures him that he never needs to take off his mask. Yet, after a few months, he approaches her and takes it off. Because he trusts her

Obanai views Kanae as an angel, straight up. She’s a kind, loving, sweet, soft-spoken soft-hearted lady whose only didn’t go out of his way to try welcome him into the Hashira but befriend him. His type… she has been the only person to be so affectionate to him, that he fell in love with her like

Obanai nervously asks Mitsuri and Kyojuro tips on how to talk to Kanae and both of those two silly idiots give him the worst ideas but those goofy mess-ups didn’t even draw the Flower Hashira away, they draw her closer to the Serpent Hashira because he’s interesting to her

Kanae is thankful to how respectful Obanai is to Shinobu’s memory and gives her grave flowers almost weekly, and how he also helps tutor Kanao with her training. She absolutely loves that. She never asked for it but he does it anyway and she bombards him with love and gifts as ‘thank yous’

This couple’s very PDA-driven and cuddly. Like, Obanai is usually sat in Kanae’s lap during Hashira gettogether parties and he’s snuggling up to her her whilst she kisses him, himself glaring hatefully at EVERYBODY even daring to look in her direction

Kanae is the tall honeypot of the relationship whilst Obanai’s the short bad bitch of the relationship. She thinks how small he is is very cute whilst he actually likes how tall she is

ObaKana’s like double affectionate with one another; they hold hands, they give each other good luck kisses, the sharing the same tree in Ubuyashiki‘s mansion embracing one another by the hip. They are usually seen side by side that some of the other Hashira comment that Obanai is a bodyguard for Kanae

And honestly, he acts that way but she doesn’t mind it. She sees past his sharp, harsh, venomous demeanour and sees a genuinely kind and caring man so she loves him for that and much more whilst Obanai’s mad for all of Kanae

Yes. They switch Haoris occasionally and they both even send each other a spare to comfort the other. For example; If Obanai’s been out for a week or two, he’ll send a package of his Haori or a spare of his hairbrush or even a gift he bought at the town to Kanae so she can use them to comfort herself over him until he returns

Obanai likes to brush Kanae’s hair, it’s so beautiful to him and he’ll help add the purple highlights at the tips whilst her and the Butterfly Girls will decorate Obanai with his own custom butterfly ornament-clip

Obanai will never take off that ornament-clip, his hair’s in a ponytail and he wears it. Even in front of his fellow Hashira and Kakushi, proudly because it’s from his girlfriend and her girls. He’ll beat up anybody who tries to mock it because that’s mocking his love

Kanae is often accompanied by Kaburamaru since even Kaburamaru loves her. But as soon as she notices that the pretty white serpent is with her, she tries to find her beloved hissy husband boyfriend to give him back since she doesn’t want Obanai to struggle with his half-blindness alone

They respect one another so much that getting sexual is nerve-wracking. But honestly, Obanai’s the one freaking out whilst Kanae is trying to calm him down lovingly and patient. Of course, they do make love anyway with her taking charge at first, and don’t fall asleep for ages since they are chatting and processing what they just did together

They do comfort each other a decent amount since they both trust each other to drop walls or acts and talk. They communicate a whole ton and whilst they love each other dearly, they do fight. All couples argue and disagree

Rip Sanemi. Obanai is a bit irritable, despite them being besties, over the fact the Wind Hashira has a crush on Kanae but it does disappear overtime and both himself and Kanae can chat with Sanemi without friction. They both want that since Kanae feels bad and Obanai can’t stand another man wanting his lady

But arguments and disagreements end with them parting for a few hours then both of ‘em just beating themselves up over it but before Kanae even go try find Obanai to apologise, he slips a apology letter and little gift under the doorframe

They do train one another during the Hashira Training event but unlike with all his other pupils, including the other Hashira, Obanai is tame as fuck with Kanae. He cooks her food, lets her take breaks, he checks up on her if he accidentally hits her. He’s a sweetheart with her and her ONLY

Whilst Kanae is always loving and caring and friendly to her pupils so her overall behaviour doesn’t change that much for when Obanai arrives. He gets her love, no matter that but she doooooeesss prioritise him over her students and give him breaks whenever she sees fit

Kanae is so often at the Serpent Estate to spend the week or two with Obanai that she almost forgets what her own mansion looks like!

Them kissing quickly but passionately with Kaburamaru giving Kanae’s forehead a kiss from Obanai’s shoulders is the evidence of their most purest intimate form of love

Obanai would absolutely drag Douma into the grave with him in order to both get revenge for Shinobu and finally out Kanae’s hatred for him to rest. He would, because he deeply hates Douma for what he did to the Kochos

These two would absolutely, in a scenario where the final battle didn’t end with their deaths which it does, propose to one another at the same time during recovery. Kanae would put hers down to let Obanai propose first, however, she’ll propose right after too!

They’d get married so fast that they’d put Tengen to shame and whilst Obanai doesn’t want Kanae to take on the burden of ‘Iguro’, she reassures him that she wants to have it because it means they are closer as a couple. When do they get married, Kanae changes to a Iguro instead of Obanai becoming a Kocho

Just… they are cute. ObaKana have a similar dynamic to ObaMitsu but the gal less energetic and cheerful and it’s kinda less openly one-sided to more that its a mutual equal love with the gal being more calm and loving!

Now. If you excuse me, I must run away and hide before all the ObaMitsu and SaneKana fans hunt me down and gut me open— TALLLIEHOOOOO!

-Whit gets stunned in place, COMPLETELY caught offguard whenever someone lashes out at him unexpectedly/when he's least expecting it (Reasoning for belief; Well, Idk if this is ANGST worthy. I think it's.. normal to get stunned in place when you get lashed out on?? Idk- I'm just giving whatever I have since I'm asked- Anyways, remember Episode 12 where David told Whit to stfu?? Yeah, the music dropped dead silent and Whit also went silent after that 😶 not to mention we don't get a glance at his sprite to confirm his reaction. So I think he was stunned in place- and.. if it's alright to mention, that FTE with Charles when Charles suddenly lashed out at him for making fun of him which I think they both were in the wrong don't expect me to defend either actions here. Yeah, he went stunned in place for a bit-)

-Uhm, hmm.. If Whit were to have a breakdown, I imagine it'd be a bit quiet-ish breakdown. Similarly to what Rosie had back in Ch2, and maybe a TINY mix of Hu's meltdown (Reasoning for beliefs; Tbh. Even if I find interesting in the idea of Whit breaking down as much as y'all of everyone else does- I think his breakdown will be real quiet-ish.. silent tears or smth. Because with how emotionally repressed he seems not to mention his "Bitter things should go down the drain" quote It just.. makes sense to me it'd come out very.. slowly.)

Request: Hi, do you think you could maybe please write the yandere alphabet for Kanae Kocho from demon slayer with a female demon reader?.. I'm really interested in what lengths she would go to protect her beloved one. Like, would she try to suppress her s/o's demonic nature or would she even support it? Hey there! This is not an Alphabet, but I wrote down a few headcanons. I just thought that this format would fit better, than the rather rigid form of the alphabet. Especially, because you asked some questions as well, and I really wanted to focus on these.

So let´s go!

I think the most important thing is making one thing clear: Were you a demon before she met you or did you get turned into one at a later point?

This can make or break the relationship between the two of you! So it´s important to know that before!

Let´s go down the route first, where you already are a demon before meeting her

To make things short: You die!

It doesn´t matter if you can hide your demonic nature from her and then the two of you get together or if she knows from the very first moment upon meeting you, because you told her or she figured it out herself. It doesn´t matter.

You will die!

If she knows from the beginning, she will see it as a mercy to you. No matter how kind you are, maybe especially because of your otherwise gentle nature. She hopes, that if you get reborn, you will have the chance for a better life. Without all this pain, these demon instincts brought you.

She ignores the spark, she felt in her chest. She ignores the grief, that suddenly presses down upon her without any discernable reason. It´s better this way. She knows that. There is no doubt in her heart, that this could have gone any other way.

But for a moment she wonders, who you would have been to each other in a different life. Your body turns to ash, and she stops wondering. She doesn´t have the time for this. No matter what this strange feeling in her chest is. She needs to move on.

Still, your face, your smile, your eyes, never leave her mind. She takes comfort in it.

If you manage to hide your status as a Demon from her, things will go a bit different...

She will rage. Her calm mask will crack, as she looks at you with tears in her eyes. „How could you?!“ You don´t think you have ever seen her this emotional. It´s scary.

She wastes no second in her vicious attempt to separate your head from your body. She is full of rage, full of grief. She will fight far more viciously, than you thought her capable.

Can you kill her? No? Well, then. That was it for you. She feels betrayed, and this betrayal is your death sentence.

She watches, as your body crumbled to dust at her feet.

And then: Regret!

She could have done things differently, no? Ah, it doesn´t matter now. She will go on to fight more viciously against every demon she meets. No matter their rang or power or if she is even suited for a fight like this. It seems almost like she wants to follow you...

Even though you betrayed her trust like this, she can´t help but still love you with all her heart.

So! That was that! Pretty depressive, no? But there still is another possibility.

You get turned into a demon, after you already had been together.

This time, it doesn´t matter, if she had known you for a few years, months, days or even hours. She reacts different than before.

Now there are two options again: She sees it happen or you tell her (or don´t, but she´ll know regardless)

Let´s start with the second one, mkay!

When you meet her again, you are unsure if you even should do that. No matter, what you had decided, if you had gathered the conviction to be brave enough to tell her, the words get stuck in your throat when she looks at you.

You can see how sad, she suddenly became, and you flinch back, when she storms towards you. She stops again. Her nose nearly touching yours, as she studies your face. From the corner of your eye, you see her arm rise, and close your eyes in return. Already tensing up in the anticipation of the following pain.

Nothing happens.

She simply touches your cheek. Gently caressing it. „We will figure something out. Don´t worry about it. You came to the right person for help!“ You open your eyes again, shocked at the burning admiration in her own. She pulls you close, and you can´t help but cry at this.

Cute, huh?

Kanae will try her best to help you. Shinobu, her master, was a genius when it came to poison and healing. Kanae will figure something out for you. Because of Tanjiro and Nezuko, she knows that you don´t need to eat any human meat. Yes, you will sleep a lot, but she will watch over you. For as long as you need her to. And even then she will continue.

When she brings you back to the butterfly mansion, she knows that she will face some resistance from Shinobu, but she is sure, that she will able to convince her teacher to let you stay.

A whimpered „Please...“ paired with desire. Her eyes truly alive for once. It´s enough for Shinobu to give in. You will survive, and she will defend you for as long as you live. She won´t kill anyone over you, but she knows where to get the support she needs to keep you alive.

And no matter the cost, she is willing to pay the price.

She will help you, because she couldn´t help you before. She will be there for you, because she couldn´t even be there for you, when you needed her the most.

And she knows it. You both do.

But there was something else I proposed, wasn´t there?

It was supposed to be a nice end to a wonderful evening. Her deadpan nature had brought you to laughter far more often than you could keep count. The food was delicious. And the company? Well, the company certainly found each other more than acceptable.

You walked close to each other. Your hands brushing, but never clasping. Conversation flowed between the two of you, though you talked, well rambled, while she answered every once in a while.

Though, with the late hour, there was a comfortable silence between you now. It was peaceful, and you leaned further into her.

Such a beautiful night it was. Almost like a dream you had.

Sadly, it would soon turn into a nightmare.

It all happened so fast.

You were thrown back.

You hear her screaming. So loud. She never was that loud. It worried you. You tried to lift you head to look for her. Your body was numb. There was so much pain.

Something – Water? – was dripped onto your lips. There was desperation in her voice now. You swallowed.

It burned. Your veins, your whole body, even your mind – It burned! Then everything went black. The last thing you heard was Kanae screaming your name.

When you woke the next time, you were laying on the floor.

Someone was patting your cheek. „C´mon! Please wake up!“

When you finally opened your eyes, everything seemed to be blurry at the beginning. Still, you could recognize the figure kneeling over you.

Her pink butterfly clip was broken. The wings seemed to be missing, and her hair was a mess. You don´t know, why you noticed this first. Her wings were gone! That was the only thing you could think of.

She was still prattling on. At this point, it seemed like she had said more, than the entire rest of the night combined.

You tried to sit up with a groan, but were quickly pushed down again. „No! Don´t! Stay down! Don´t know what is wrong yet. Sorry.“ Her hands pushed you back down, insistent, and your head rested on a soft fabric. When you looked her over, it was probably her white coat, that she had bundled up under your head.

You don´t why you noticed the dirt on her clothes, the tear in the fabrics before the rest. Maybe because she was always so put together in front of you? It seemed like she was about to fall apart, with nothing stopping the decline.

Her gentle hands caressed your face, even as you suddenly winced. Your mouth was hurting, your teeth ached! The light suddenly seemed too bright. Everything was just too much! There was a smell in the air. Delicious. Your teeth ache! Her face – You surge forward – was bloody. You bite.

She doesn´t even try to stop you, instead pulling you closer to her chest, as she gently pats your head. When you realize that you´re trying to bite through the shoulder of your date, you start to cry. She simply shushes you. Not letting you explain yourself, when you finally unclamp your teeth.

Your legs are shaky, when you try to stand, but you don´t have to waver for long, before Kanae is already by your side. She still smells delicious, and you hate yourself for even thinking it.

Awkwardly, the two of you shuffle along. Kanae nearly half-carrying you. You know she would try to carry your whole weight, but with her injuries, she can´t.

A slash across her face, one pupil more dilated than the other, her ankle twisted. A piece of flesh missing from her shoulder. She seems to have more bruised skin than not.

In comparison to her, you got away with a few scraps. Still a bit dizzy, and the lights are too bright. Other than that you feel fine. Weak. Fragile. But fine.

You almost feel bad about having her support you, but she glares at you – more emotion in her eyes than you used to – whenever you try to say something about it. You let her do it. It feels nice to have her so close to you. A comfort you desperately need.

She leads the way and you follow. You don´t know where you are going but you don´t mind. You had seen the sword at her side. Recognized her uniform. But you didn´t mind. She had always been so good to you. It wouldn´t hurt, if she did it. And she would. The blood in your mouth told you what happened, what you became. You wouldn´t mind if it was her, that brought an end to you.

So you followed her.

You follow the dirt trodden path, till you are stopped. A young man, plain but bright-eyed, sword at his side, and the same black uniform, that Kanae wears under her cloth, comes the other way, stopping in your path. He opens his mouth to say something, pointing at you, and in that moment you know, that he knows it too.

Then you are sitting on the ground.

You don´t quite understand what happened, but Kanae isn´t next to you any more. You search for her, looking around, as you try to get up from the ground. Your legs still feel weak.

But then you see her.

You vomit.

The headless body of the man drops unceremoniously to the ground.

Kanae is standing next to him. Sword drawn. Panting. She looks blank. But then she moves. Her eyebrow furrows, as if not quite understanding what happened yet. You hear her whisper a „Okay“ under her breath, as she slowly nods. Seemingly coming to a conclusion.

You still star in shock at the body of the young man, as Kanae whirls back around. Hurrying over to you, slightly limping – her ankle must hurt, you worry about it again – she stumbles, catching herself, she reaches out to you. She nearly pulls you completely from the ground by your arm, as she hurries to adjust your position, leaning on to her.

„Hurry! The sun.“ She doesn´t say more than that. She doesn´t need to. You slowly start to understand, what is going on.

When you pass the body, you start to salivate. It disgusts you, and you furiously wipe the spit away from your mouth. She looks at you, and before you can react, she slashes the torso open. Leaning down, she rummages around, pulling out the heart and some other organs, and simply pockets them.

„C´mon. We can´t waste any more time“ and with that she is back to focusing on dragging you along, to where ever she considers safe. You shuffle away. Her pockets dripping with blood and you yearning for it.

What strange companions love and guilt made you.

do koltin and kilton fit in your extended demonology lorebuilding? interested what youd classify em as

Right so like, BotW/TotK is so incredibly far from the events of my AU, but I have definitely overthought about how the Demon Tribe stuff would fit Kilton and Koltin in.

Firstly though, some Boko Tribe stuff reminders

1) Their advantage is having very plastic physical adaptability <- to account for their wide variety of body types in the different games, encompass all the various subtypes (Moblin, Bokoblin, Miniblin, etc), and explain why they're the only demon tribe that has persisted in any noticeable numbers through the ages. They're just really pro at adapting to new things.

2) They're easily affected/warped by Magicka <- to account for the game's evil Bokos. In this way, they're a result of Malice being overused to control and resurrect them, rather than evil behavior being their norm. Basically they are on the same level of sentience as humans, but exposure to uncontrolled Malice degrades their minds much faster than it would others. It's essentially the flipside to the above plasticity advantage. They're malleable in ways that are both good and bad.

Man, what does this have to do with Kilton and Koltin, Shea?

(I always thought the silhouettes here were really similar and wondered if it was intentional, but anyways)

So the headcanon here is that Kilton and Koltin's parents are a non-corrupted blue Boko and a particularly adventurous Hylian. I imagine they're a very sweet couple!!!! Here they are when they were younger.

I never thought of names for them, they just exist somewhere and probably don't hang out much in towns. (We love a power couple, but this sort of thing is likely to freak out the Hylian locals.)

I like to draw the two brothers with tiny little horn nubs as a nod to this. They don't have full horns and never will, but they probably were very excited for their lil skull bumps to grow like 0.05mm over the years.

The family would very much be aware of the whole Malice corruption thing. That's why Kilton is so passionate about "monster education" - he knows the corrupt Bokos were once normal people and often just mind their own business in the wilderness, but also knows that it's dangerous for humans to try and approach. So his ventures with his traveling stall and presentations in Tarrey Town are his way of trying to bridge that gap safely.

Additionally, I imagine Kilton and Koltin can travel pretty easily amongst corrupted Bokos, but not bands of Lizal or Lynel. Kilton would have attempted creating masks because of this issue, then afterwards added the various Boko masks for humans to use. (The Magicka is extremely rudimentary, like, barely a Glamour if you're familiar with my magic systems, which is why they fail frequently). And sidenote for monster extract, I think it would be funny if it's just like, a normal ingredient his mom uses and he just puts purple food coloring in it for the Exotic Flair. Like it's just vanilla extract or something lmao.

That was the rambliest possible answer, but tldr they're half-Bokoblin teehee

So I have a big theory and I don't know where to put it, so here it goes:

The thing that's gonna incarnate in Yuri's stomach isn't Aono. Is the patron god of the village, Kubinashi sama. The dark Aono is the real Aono.

Based on the whole thing with Sota and the school inventory, we know the ghost always come back, because you're not supposed to offer them anything, and as soon as you do they're turned into evil spirits. We also know from the Sota situation, that every time someone comes back, a part of the patron god, with them. In Sota's case, his "friend". The part where Aono says that it isn't Yotsukubi sama, nor a ghost, but at the same it is, shows that the existence of Kubinashi is not something that's fixed. Furthermore, my theory is that Kubinashi sama is feigning being Aono (the "good" one) due to Yuri's agreement.

Think about it. Yuri and Aono were only dating for two weeks, yet Aono seems to be the perfect boyfriend, despite Fujimoto knowing that he only dated Yuri because he felt bad for her, and that he didn't really knew her. My theory is that this Aono is the part of the agreement of Kubinashi with Yuri: it gave her her perfect vision of Aono, so that she would be satisfied with it and never taking back her agreement. This is why this Aono doesn't have complete memories of how he died, or his childhood. Is an incomplete version of Aono. This Aono also evolves with the time. Every time Yuri changes, Aono also changes to satisfy her desires. This is why the normal Aono didn't know about what happened in the aquarium, but as soon as Yuri learned about it, he suddenly was able to.

Dark Aono is the real Aono, which is why he only comes when certain steps are taken. As the boyfriend of Yuri he doesn't want to hurt her and he is technically part of the deal with Kubinashi. Similar to Sota, who is part of the deal, and is seemingly the perfect brother, that is also part of the deal; Kubinashi only brings back the parts of the deceased the one making the contract remembers. The "dark versions" that appear are the real ones that have grudges and can't pass on. This also explains why he wanted her to eat food of the other world, that way if she gets stuck there, her agreement with Kubinashi will be void.

Dark Sota holds a grudge to his mother for "forgetting him", and to his brother for "causing his death". Dark Aono does not hold a grudge to Yuri, but as a dark spirit, both of them have the desire to grow stronger by getting offerings and sacrifices. The reasoning of this is that those things are different; offerings are usually made directly to the deceased, normally on their tombstones or the family altars, sacrifices are made to deities, and can be done anywhere. So far all the offerings have been made directly to Aono (the food, the eyes) which is why only the dark Aono, the real Aono takes them. The normal Aono can't take them, cause he's not real one, thus they aren't his to take. This explains why the normal Aono couldn't enter the storage room, but dark Aono could. This also gives a possibility: normal Aono can't afford to let Yuri know that he's not the real Aono, cause otherwise that would void the agreement. In agreements, the spirit cannot lie, but they can hide things. This is also shown on the agreement to bring back Sota, Hiroto wasn't told that he was gonna come back as an evil spirit. In the same, Yuri wasn't told that Aono was gonna come back as Dark Aono, and to make her less suspicious, Kubinashi decided to disguise itself as the perfect Aono. If Kubinashi has control over all the spirits in the village, then he could keep dark Aono at bay, except when Aono is called directly, cause that's part of the rules. That's also why normal Aono remembers everything Dark Aono does, cause technically, spirits are part of Kubinashi's domain; not enough to control what they do, but enough to know what they do.

So, Yuri sacrificed herself, offered her life in exchange of Aono. Now based on the Kubinashi ritual, we know that every ghost agreement isn't made with the ghosts, but with Kubinashi sama; the ghosts are only part of the exchange. And Kubinashi sama makes use of the sacrifices however they seem fit or convenient. In the kids case it involved a game, but in Yuri's case it involved being reincarnated. We also know ghosts can't really come back, except as well.. ghosts. So that further solidifies that argument.

Part of this theory is that Nozomi's family is a family of ommyoujis. But that due to the times changing, and the lack of sacrifices, they probably left that tradition behind, and thus Nozomi was never really talked about her heritage. This part comes from the fact that Nozomi's grandma seems to know a lot about the village story with Kubinashi, and despite being a ghost she has powers that ghosts otherwise don't have, like taking over Nozomi without her permission, entering her dream, or taking control of the snake in Nozomi's dream. This also comes from her clothing, which are clothes people wear to funerals (the visitors are the ones that wear it, the deceased usually wears white clothes), but black clothes are also associated with the highest rank of Shinto priests.

Furthermore, Nozomi's grandma is effectively Nozomi's shikigami as of now, one out of devotion and not sacrifice. This is why she helping her during her dream was accepted, she is technically an extension of Nozomi.

Another part of why the agreement with Yuri is different, is because they're kids. Yuri is a virgin who's in age of conceiving (the chapter showing her having her period wasn't a coincidence). Ghosts cannot come back, but deities can, given they have a vessel. In this case, Yuri's stomach. The fact that Yuri's family has a history with Kubinashi isn't out of the question, neither. It's is possible that like Nozomi's family, Yuri's family must have a tie to the Kubinashi ritual in some way. If the Kariya family has a tie to sacrifices, it could even possibly explain what happened to Yuri's older brother. Let's not forget that in some traditions you're supposed to sacrifice your first born. This could also explain the situation behind her older brother.

Now I know this is wild but, my theory is that Yuri's parents had to sacrifice his older child, and had Midori hoping she could be sacrifices instead. As per the rules, only the first child was accepted, and they grow to hate Midori because of this. They had Yuri either as an unplanned pregnancy, or in hopes of having a second boy to replace the first one, but it failed. This is also why the first child is never really talked about.

So, not only the Kariya family has something to do with sacrifices, and abnormal virgin pregnancies related to deities; Yuri would inherently be sacrificing her first born by making her birth a god.

So, the theory is this: the village where Yuri lives is controlled by Kubinashi, and her family has a tie to it by doing sacrifices, and Nozomi's family by being priests. Yuri didn't make an agreement with Aono, she made an agreement with Kubinashi to bring back Aono, and now she has to birth Kubinashi, while Aono returned as just a dark spirit.

since it's a rarepair, obviously my first criteria is their dynamic: naïve sunshine x naïve sunshine. hear me out. I genuinely fail to understand why it was never a well-known rarepair?? one is an overly sweet and optimistic girl, who goes that far to wish to befriend demons; the other is a silly little guy, overly optimistic and caring, who daydreams about getting married someday. their personalities match so well?? they seem like they'd have similar goals and vibes, plus Kanae *did* address him as "-kun" and knew that Masachika cared about Sanemi, which means they must've interacted off screen (Kanae must've interacted with lots of her patients including Sanemi and Masachika, but I feel like she had more meaningful conversations with Masachika rather than with Sanemi's grumpy/detached ass, which led her only to worry bc that's in her nature; either way, she sympathizes with Masachika for sure).

in brief, I feel like they would relate to each other better than anyone else, and they would get along really really well...I won't be yapping further for now, we never saw them interact directly so all I will be able to share from now on will probably be headcanons 🧚🏻‍♀️

Sanemi visits Kanae's grave often, even more than Shinobu. He brings fresh blue peonies to her grave bc its the only color he sees correctly; they remind him of her colorful personality.

He also brings wisteria to you know, keep her soul safe from the demons and whatnot

Sometimes when no one's around, he talks to her grave, and about what's going on in his life and that he's okay.

Whenever he ever tries to harm himself he feels something stop him. something that makes him say, "Man, what am I doing." sometimes he envisions Kanae's figure approaching him and grabbing the knife from his hands saying, "There's no need."

Sometimes when he's feeling down he'll just remember that she's in a much better place. One free from all the horrors of their world.

She had a feeling she may not come back from the mission to kill Douma, so i like to think that before she left, she wrote letters for Shinobu, Sanemi, Kanao, and whoever else was important to her. The letter for Sanemi would go something like:

Dear Sanemi,

If you’re reading this, I must not have survived the attack against Douma. But please don’t be sad.. I lived a good life. 

I want to thank you for loving me as much as you did. It’s true. I’ve known the whole time, and regret not letting you know sooner. That day that I tended to your wound at the mansion. I gave my little sister, Kanao, a special coin. This coin has been passed down through the generations of our family. I flipped the coin to the opposite side and said to her, “When you fall in love with some boy someday, you’ll change, too, Kanao.” I should have told you, I shouldn’t have been so cautious, but it’s too late. So please live a good life. For me. Try to refrain from crying or becoming depressed. Death is just a part of life, after all. Cherish my memory instead. Be kind to other people when you can, and don’t start meaningless fights. But I’m not asking that you change. Never change.

Lastly, I need you to promise me you’ll remember this: It is not your fault. It was never your fault. And though you may find more women in your future, and that’s okay, know that I will always love you.
