Have you seen the latest Genshin Impact Special Program?

The most recent stream tackles all of the upcoming updates for the latest version of the game (Version 2.6). We learn more about the newest playable character, Kamisato Ayato, who was actually already teased in the introduction for Arataki Itto.

So far, not much is known about Kamisato Ayato except for the few voice lines we’ve heard from a few characters. But thanks to the latest program, we got a glimpse of this new character that will keep us hyped up for his release.

Kamisato Ayato

After losing his parents at a young age, Ayato took over as the head of the Kamisato Clan. According to records, it was not an easy feat. He had to overcome a lot of political upheaval, from both the public and the self-serving officials. However, the young lord persevered and protected his clan despite his lack of experience.

Like his sister, Ayato is described to be cultured and polite but there’s more to him than meets the eye. According to Itto, he partakes in beetle fights and even won 780 times against the Oni. He’s also known to be a bit spoiled, refusing any defective looking food and giving them all to Thoma.

Whatever his true personality, we’ll learn all about the Bobba-sipping head of the Kamisato Clan on the next update. More specifically, his new Story Quest: Cypressus Custos Chapter: Act I

Normal Attack | “Kamisato Art: Marobashi”

With his sword, Ayato unleashes a large AOE damage within a short period, while increasing his team’s Normal Attacks.

Elemental Skill | “Kamisato Art: Kyouka”

When he unleashes his Elemental Skill, Ayato will leave behind a water illusion and shift positions. This is called the Takimegura Kanki state, which will then explode and deal Hydro damage to your enemies.

At the same time, his normal attacks will turn into Shunsuiken series of quick water blades that will also deal Hydro damage. Once his opponents are hit with this, Ayato will be granted with Namisen effect, which will increase Shunsuiken’s damage depending on his HP. This ends when Ayato leaves the field or uses his Elemental Skill again.

If you’ve unlocked his Passive Talent, “Kamisato Art: Mirema Wataru Shiotaki” (I’m not sure about the names of the passive talents since I only have to play it by ear for now, sorry), Ayato will be granted another set of Namisen stacks once the water illusion explodes.

Elemental Burst | “Kamisato Art: Suiyuu”

Ayato will unleash a garden of bloom water blades that will rain down on enemies and deal AOE damage. This also increases the normal attacks of any party member within the AOE.

After unlocking a second passive talent Michiyaku Hagetsu (I really gave up in trying to figure out the names because they didn’t put it on screen), Ayato can regenerate a set of energy at regular intervals if his energy is low and out of the field.

Exploration Talent | Kamisato Art: Daily Cooking When Ayato cooks a dish perfectly, he has a 18% chance of making an additional “Suspicious” dish of the same type. Why would you want that? Who knows?  

Ayato will be available on Phase 1 of Version 2.6’s Event Wish along with the return of the Anemo Archon, Venti. Will you be pulling for Ayato on his release? What are you excited about for this character?

Sadly, Thoma would have to become the very embodiment of that peer pressure, at least in the name of all the culinary greats that aptly name the good graces they’re provided by the world. Gradually would the temperature of the room gradually increase, an uncomfortable level of heat that could easily draw forth steam from within anyone’s collar. “Ayato Kamisato.” The name was curtly declared as within a brandished fury of infernal might, the Wavebreaker’s Fin would find itself  summoned into his hand, firmly clenched as a threatening wave is given, sharp and curt, similar to the days they trained.

“The raw audacity you have to describe these mealtime greats in such definition. Technicalities will not save you from the annals of punishment for bringing them to the soul of a chef before you.” FWHOOM. Let the raging fire swim across his forth, to cackle and spark erratically around his being, a time for talk was no longer.

”I’ll personally burn these truths down to the depths of your very soul. These impurities have held their corrosive hold upon my good companion for long enough!”

The opportunity to work with the Yashiro commission (and the Kamisato clan by association) had turned out to be more enjoyable than anticipated. The time spent negotiating business plans went smoothly which granted her ample time to appreciate Inazuma in all it’s glory. She had already filled a few cameras with anything she deemed worthy of remembering: Petals falling from the Grand Narukami Shrine, foxes lingering in the wild, and many more intriguing sights. For a nation with such a troubled history, It’s beauty was truly a sight to behold. It was while writing a letter back home that Yanfei had been offered to join the Kamisato siblings for dinner. Who was she to deny such a kind offer?

Yanfei was undeniably competitive... to an extent. “Is this a tradition that I’m unaware of? Because this doesn’t exactly look edible-” Weary eyes scanned over the ominous hotpot ingredients before she glanced at Ayato. He seemed content listening to their housekeeper explain the rules of the game as if this was a normal part of their daily lives. Was that a tentacle? Nope, she had seen enough! Following up a small bow and a tense smile, Yanfei promptly backed away from the table. “I think to better uhm-- understand the game, I should watch you all play first! Since I’m just a foreigner and all.”
