But this version of Hayato Ichimonji - as seen in Hideaki Anno's Shin Kamen Rider - is a little less mature, a lot more cocky, but still ready to do what it takes to put an end to suffering. And he grows considerably as a result.
It's s great design from a movie I loved. And the Figuarts release captures so much of that incredible detail from the new design. Right down to the smallest bolt and zipper seam. It's just a bummer that the scarf is so lifeless - thankfully the unmasked version solves that.
And let's not forget the incredible paint work here. I love that beautiful matte green on the chest armor. There's so much material texture conveyed through the different paint applications. It's very impressive.
It's a beautiful figure, pictures barely do it justice.
My only gripe is the articulation in the upper arms. But this isn't the place to discuss that. Instead, let's just admire this wonderful piece.
a quick drawing of the second-to-last Kamen Rider of the showa era (even tough the movie debuted during the heisei period of japan), Kamen Rider ZO, from the movie of the same name, i tried adding some extra effects like glow in the eyes and the gem.

un rapido dibujo del penultimo Kamen Rider de la era showa (aunque su película salió durante la era heisei de Japón), Kamen Rider ZO, de la pelicula del mismo nombre, intente agregar efectos extras como brillo en los ojos y en la gema.

Kamen Rider ZO is owned by Toei
they officially revealed kr valen for gavv, and i love how he looks. also, have you seen the ABSOLUTELY WILD stuff about the gavv belt and the gochizos
I've been a little out of the loop on all the Gavv spoilers, but I did see the most important part! which is to say that we can expect many scenes of:
Despite its flaws, I still love Kamen Rider Drive. Its the combination of the incredible cast, the suits, the monster designs. It all just pops.
Gaim, on the other hand, I haven't really seen - outside of crossovers and a handful of episodes.
But I loved the Full Throttle crossover movie that featured both characters.
These figures tick all my boxes. Obscure designs that only appeared in one movie, gimmick toys that emphasize play pattern over aesthetics, great colors, transforming bits and apparent engineering - It's all right in my wheelhouse.
And they look gorgeous. They're toyetic and kid-centric, but they still sport an impressive amount of detail. And the paint work is stunning for mass market releases.
The Tire Koukan line (Drive) was fun, but I owned a lot more of the Arms Change (Gaim) figures.
Something about the transforming fruit gimmick, and the chunky armor that resulted, really clicked with me.
And they came in great condition. DenO_Tokunation [over on Twitter] took great care of these, and I'm very happy to have them in my collection now.
