Hm. Oh I'm so bad at this because stuff doesn't stick in my brain that well. I know I've read a lot of stuff I love. Guessing you've read all of Goldy/twoforteas's stuff based on your posts. 😂 I'm really loving The Danger of Smudged Storage Seals by bluemingqueen rn. Little Kakasaku is cute af. There's another in freaking loved but I can't remember it! It starts with her getting drugged at a bar and she goes to investigate someone drugging women and he thinks she's dead amd nearly drinks himself to death. So good I wish I could remember.

If you mean self as in stuff I've written, idk which is my favorite. It is the only ship I've written more than one thing for, I've got 6 or 7 of varying lengths. I'm really loving my WIP, Dreams of the Past, but of the finished stuff I really think Mistakes is one of my favorites. But it has past Kakashi/OC. I tend to write basically the same tropes because I am boring I guess. 😂 Consequences is pure self indulgence and I love it too.

P4P, meaning this zine will be priced at the cost of production. Any profits will go to a charity that will be announced before pre-sales open.

The focus of this zine will be the romantic relationship between Haruno Sakura and Hatake Kakashi from Naruto. The theme of the zine will be seasons, and the zine will be divided into quarters, each one thematically focused on a particular season.

Do I need zine experience to participate? Am I more likely to be accepted if I have it?

Not at all! You'll need writing/art samples to apply, but zine experience is irrelevant and won't factor into applications.

How many contributors will you be accepting?

What types of work will we be allowed to pitch?

All roles will be allowed to pitch both SFW and NSFW ideas. Artists may pitch page-illustrations, 4 page comics, and spreads. Authors may pitch 2k and 4k fic ideas. Merch Artists may pitch stickers, pins, charms, prints, bookmarks and more!

How will contributors be compensated?

Sales allowing, all contributors will receive a full physical contributor bundle free of charge. I LOVE IT. I haven't written my own yet, but I really want to, someday! Probably would spice it up with omegaverse. Omega!Sasuke marrying alpha!Naruto for convenience or something like that. It has so much different things I could use!

Depending on my inspiration I can also see myself writing it for KakaSaku or ItaSaku as well 💕

Hi! I just wanted to say that I love this blog, and I also wanted to take the opportunity that so many Kakasaku stories are shared here to express some frustrations I have when I’m reading a fic.I wonder if maybe there’s somone out there that share the same opinions so that’s why I’m here with a little list of things that bother me in a Kakasaku fic:

1- The “Sakura-Chan” thing. Kakashi does NOT call her like that, and frankly it only makes sense when Naruto says it. Kakashi calling Sakura like that is very ooc and not cute AT ALL for me.

2- Ino always being portrayed as the “sex expert”, pushing Sakura to dress sexy or whatever as if Sakura was a virgin prude with no sensuality of her own. It pisses me off, like why humiliating Sakura like that?

3- Sasuke being portrayed as a villain in OU fics: Sasuke suffered a lot of trauma and was heavily manipulated by Itachi, Orochimaru and Obito, but even if he was rude to Sakura sometimes, it was because he felt he had to push people away so he didn’t loose loved ones again. He deeply cared for team 7 so in OU fics, there’s a lot of ways you could write a good Kakasaku without having to bash Sasuke because canon Kakashi and Sakura understand Sasuke very well, it doesn’t make sense for them to hate him.

4- Last but not least, let’s be clear about what is slow-burn: slow-burn is when the relationship and chemistry are being constructed gradually, not rushed or urgent. They go slow with respect to each other’s limits. Writing a scene when the couple is about to have sex and then something/someone comes up and gets in the way is NOT slow-burn!!

Anyway, I just needed to take some things out of my chest because these little details really bother me when reading a story. Thanks for the attention, and keep up the good work!

This is where I realised I forgot most of canon and most of my Naruto knowledge now I think is purely from fics because I don't remember at all if Kakashi calls her Sakura-chan in canon or not! I don't mind it so much in fics, plus when it's used there is always a moment when feelings happen and he stops calling her -chan, so I don't so much mind this one. But I also prefer when he doesn't call her -chan, but instead sees her more as an equal in the field also (but idk if this is maybe a wstern bias I have and perhaps am not interpreting the japanese suffixes quite right).

I don't like the shy virginal Sakura portrayals either anymore (I think I did when I was a teen because I could relate to her that way). But also given the age difference and that in many fics Sakura is 18-19, I get the shy angle. But I just don't like reading that anymore, give me bamf, confident, sexually secure Sakura any day. However the flirty Ino is a trope I LOVE in fics.

(What does OU mean?) I get this but also I never really liked Sasuke too much. As an adult I understand that all his problematic behavior stems from being hurt and manipulated like you said, but the way he treats Sakura in canon is still very poor, traumatised or not. I get where it comes from but it's still not good behavior. Anyways in fics I also prefer when he is not such a bad guy, but a more sort of complicated situation. I also like the fics where he is dead but Sakura has only lovely and loving memories of him, which also complicates the situation

I am not sure what the actual fandom definition of slow burn is?? I am realising?? Because when they keep getting interrupted it's slow burn for the reader cause you want it so bad but it keeps getting delayed... but yea that's not so much slow burning feelings tha tthe characters have. While what you are describing is also friends to lovers (alt enemies to lovers) which is its own tag... so idk!! I'll take your word for it tho

Hello! First of all I love your post and I love Tsunade Sakura and Kakashi. I like also Ino. Kakasaku is my favorite pair even if is not canon. I was wondering if the plot of the girl who will always be in love with her first love no matter what, is considered in general better of the girl who can change her mind when it is too hard having his love back. It sounds like very politically correct, and it can be seen in many mangas and literatures in general, but in case of Sakura that was a single mother for years, that is always waiting for a crumb of romantic stuff from Sasuke, is really politically correct? I feel sorry for her even when she got the ring recently. I actually feel sorry also for Sasuke, I would like him having a redemption but different.. just my opinion, what is yours? Thank you!

The plot where a girl does everything for her 'true love' should remain in the past, imo. You read all these books and stories growing up and it never clicks, that it might be wrong, that there is an exit. It clicks only when you're deep in shit and it's too late and will give you nightmares, which will haunt you for the rest of your life.

Soo fuck that, there's no 'politically correct' when it comes to relationships. Of course, try to minimize the damage, but be selfish cos there's only one life and you won't get a second chance at being happy. It takes two people to make a relationship work, and if one is unhappy - communicate it. Otherwise, just leave each other be.

So yeah I hate this trope with passion. I want to see more girls (boys, people, everyone!) who are not afraid to be happy. And Sakura had so much potential to be that woman. Tbh, that whole '10 years waiting Sakura' is so out of character.

I just want to chime in as a neutral reader! This is mainly in regards to that ask that was recently posted on your tumblr:

All those fics you posted are one-shots. There are so few long-term good written KakaSaku fics with a lot of sex, and let's be real all the "classic fics" only have 1-2 sex scenes and are more story-focused. I think the KakaSaku fans have been dying for an actual long-term good story (which TAOL totally is if you look at it from the slow-build/story side) that have an equal balance of plot and porn. Or maybe that's just my projection but I'm sure some KakaSaku fans feel the same way.

When TAOL came out I was blown away because it was completely different from all the other KakaSaku fics with how well and intricate you planned things, so I had faith in your direction.

I think some went into your story expecting this to be more porn than plot (esp with the teacher/student trope, tags) hence the constant criticism of "nothing happens." But I don't think it's right for them to take out their anger on you and it is not your responsibility to fill that void at all. Your story is your story and you shouldn't write to please anyone but yourself.

I know this is a slow-burn/slow build, but you wrote on tumblr that this story might be 80 chapters, so we're currently 40 chapters in (so technically halfway in the story if that 80-total chapter count is still valid) and there's only been like 2-3 kisses and a couple of "lime" scenes. Maybe all the good stuff happens in the last half of the story, I don't know, but feel free to clarify. I'm guessing since Act 1 is like 40 chapters maybe the rest of the acts will be 40 chapters each for 120-ish total chapters? So yes 40/120 might seem like nothing to you because there are still 80 chapters left where you can include sex scenes every chapter if you so want, but for us readers who have to wait for each chapter every 2 weeks (and now another 4-month break), it's a LONG wait. So I totally understand why readers are antsy (not complaining about the update time, a chapter every 2-3 weeks is great and miles better than fics who only update like 1-2 times a month).

I've been with this story since the beginning, but I've come to terms with the fact that we're probably not getting sex scenes til like chapter 60 or something with the way this slow build is going. And that's fine, you did emphasized that this was a slow burn so I've tuned my expectations for it because I do enjoy the plot-side of the story and find it interesting and unique. But I will admit that this is probably the longest, longest slow-build fic I've read thus far. Even other smut stories that are slow-burn with 100+ chapters have all managed to introduce sex scenes before the 40-chapter mark, but I guess it's just a difference of how you outlined your story.

I will be honest and say that I did expect more from chapter 40 just because it was Act 1's finale, but you have your reasons and we as readers have to respect it. I'm just glad I don't primarily read this fic solely for the smut because I would probably be just another one of those disgruntled readers.

I'm being such a tech-illiterate idiot right now, my stupid ass was confused for a moment why this Ask was formatted weird when I realized it's a submit 😭 Uhh I'm hoping I'm doing this right?

Anyway, yes, a reader or 2 asked for the exact chapter count. However, I explained to them that the chapter count is volatile and not set in stone because of spontaneous side chapters thrown in, or I realize a chapter is too long and I have to break it into 2 chapters. With these reasons, I told them that 80 is a very loose estimate.

A few months later, another reader (or possibly the same reader) asked me again about what the chapter count is. I told them:

So yes, your calculations are very plausible! It's why I don't specify on AO3 the exact chapter count for TAOL because I myself am not sure of exactly how many chapters there will be. And I don't want to keep telling readers "oops, added more to the chapter count again!" over and over again because I think that would annoy them.

Unfortunately, you're partially right that many readers started TAOL with the expectation of porn balanced with plot, but other readers have clearly expressed to me from the get go that they only desire porn. And when people keep messaging me demanding over and over that I hurry up and give them porn because they could hardly care about the plot, it makes me cranky.

I recently had a new reader check out TAOL and they only read the first paragraph of Chapter 1 before skipping alllll the way to Chapter 38. They then commented "jesus fucking christ, 38 chapters and they still haven't fucked yet?! so fucking slow"

I just deleted that comment since there's no point in explaining the slowburn to them when they clearly want to read just porn.

So all those complaints that there hasn't been sex YET add onto all those messages demanding that I "just write porn and forget about the fucking plot". It's not fun to get both of them together, and over and over again.

If I wanted the story to just mainly be about a teacher fucking his student, I would've just done a one-shot. I wouldn't be the first to do that though.

As an aside, some slowburns I have read have been 1-2 MILLION words long with the couple only kissing after the 1 million word mark. As you can all see, I'm not sadistic enough to make you all read 1 million words before seeing Kakashi and Sakura kiss (for technically their 3rd time). I think TAOL is the longest/slowest slowburn KakaSaku fic, but it's definitely not the slowest/longest fic overall in the world of fanfiction! I actually once saw a reader brag about their 14 million word WIP... Yes, 14 MILLION word slowburn!

You bet I did not read that fic.

I also appreciate that you respect my writing choices, regardless if you disagree or agree with them. I'm so used to people disagreeing with my writing choices and bashing me for them that seeing you say you still respect it and my reasons had me do a huge double-take.

M best friend asked me once why I didn't ship R*ylo.

And tbh, she *did* have a point in asking me why.

She and I have shipped Erik/Christine, V/Evey, Jareth/Sarah, Severus/Hermione all in the past. Still do with a few of those. The others are just very fond memories nowadays (*points to the series that shall not be named*).

I currently ship EmetWol, which shares *many* a trope with Ghoulcy and the previously mentioned ships.

I ship SessKag and KakaSaku. Those two ships might not be as extreme on the parallels that the other ships have (or the fucked up-ness besides the age-gaps/mentor-mentee thing in the case of KakaSaku), but this has been one of my favorite types of ships since I was...fucking hells, 14? 15?

Decades now!!

But it all came down to shitty writing (MY OPINION), how the sequels just shat all over the OT and PT films, two directors battling it out on what THEY wanted the saga to be with no real oversight, etc.

But the MAJOR fact was that, thanks to advertising and *very specific scenes in TFA*, JJ was so obviously pointing to R*y being a biological Skywalker (either by way of being Luke's kid or Leia's), that I just...ew on the cousin thing. Or possible siblings thing.

I also never saw the chemistry between the two actors and the forced writing in TLJ just...turned me off so much.

And I told her all of that.

She just so happens to be a R*ylo shipper, but. She's my best friend, and she took my analysis to heart. Didn't stop her from shipping them, no. I never expected it to! Just wanted to answer her question honestly.

We're still besties to this day, and we've both, sadly, lost a lot of our love for that franchise for various reasons.

The biggest being that TRoS just fucked over everything that we ever loved, both old and new.
