Prompts for KakaSaku Week 2025: Time to Fall in Love are live!

Each day has two options for an autumnal setting for your art/fic to take place in, followed by a smattering of prompts to choose from. Feel free to use one, two, three, or even all four prompts given for the day! Use as little or as much as you’d like. Fics, art, moodboards, songs, we want to see them all! (It's understood that some of these may require a little more explanation, so see below the cut for details.)

Rules:

Art or fics must be centered around our favorite couple, Kakashi and Sakura of course.

Art can be as detailed as you want! Sketches, outlines, vague ideas or full creations–all are welcome!

No minimum or maximum word count. Write whatever your heart desires and is inspired to write.

Please tag all NSFW and DD works appropriately so consumers can cultivate their reading/viewing experience to what they like. No content is banned, but we do ask that if it is in the NSFW or DD realm, to please give appropriate CW labels.

No AI works, art, fics, or anything that is created using AI will be accepted for this event.

Dystopian: October 6

Dystopian books are often banned for portrayals of violent and crumpling societies. Marked by themes of rebellion, anarchy, violence, and control, dystopian books are often challenged for being age inappropriate or anti-government. What happens when society becomes the worst it can be? Do the people of Kumogakure rise up when everything has been taken away?

LBGTQIA+: October 7

Queer literature is essential for those learning to accept who they are through representation in a larger community. Challenges to queer fictions are often masked by claims of protecting the children it is there to support. 

Does Iwagakure punish love for the sake of tradition? Does Konohagakure arrange marriages to build their shinobi army? 

Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll: October 8

For centuries sex has been seen as something taboo. Drugs have been blamed for the destruction of society and corruptions of generations. Everyone from Mozart to Megan TheeStallion have been blamed for inspiring revelations. 

Censorship can happen anywhere, especially when you’re not looking. Does Sunagakure ban Icha Icha? Is there a war on drugs in Kirigakure? 

Political: October 9

From allegories to autobiographies, books that challenge authority, question the system, and demand a better world have been targets from those with the power or opposing view point.

What’s hidden is Tobirama’s journals? What happened behind the scenes as Onoki rose to power. 

Problematic History: October 10

Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. However, the things that are the hardest to face, can be easier to erase. Wars, discrimination, genocide.

What really happened in the Bloody Mist? What secrets from the first ninja war are best left untold? 

Themes are for all villages and pairings, or no pairing at all.  Any examples listed are just to spark your inspiration. Set your stories in whichever village and timeline pleases your muse

Hey everyone — I know I’ve been MIA for a while, and I don’t usually share personal things like this, but my family and I are going through something that, sadly, many immigrant families are facing right now.

As many of you know, the situation in Los Angeles has escalated, and our Latinx community is being heavily impacted. As an immigrant with an immigrant family, we’ve been forced into hiding out of fear of being detained. It’s a terrifying and uncertain time, and it’s already affecting our ability to work and stay financially stable.

To help us stay afloat and cover some unexpected expenses, I’m opening emergency art and graphic design commissions. If you’d like to support, commissioning a piece or simply sharing this post would mean the world to me and my family.

My Fallen__alien account on Ao3 was just hacked. The user who goes by edefegulre1 got into my account, changed my username, password, and email. I no longer have any control over any of my works now.

I've sent a message to the Ao3 support but I honestly don't know what will happen in the meantime. I'm trying not to be pessimistic but this has been just a horrible year for me writing wise. From plagiarism, to anonymous accounts stalking me and threatening me, to this...I'm just so sick to my stomach.

If my stories are deleted, I'm out forever.

I truly hope with all of my heart and soul that doesn't happen. Right now, all of it is in Ao3's hands and I hope they can help. I just wanted everyone to know in case they see that my username is changed. edefegulre1 IS NOT ME.

Kakashi’s eyes lit up as he recognized the label. “I love that place.” His stormy grey eyes lifted from the bag to her face. “What’s the occasion?”

“Oh! Ah, well, I was just thinking of you.” She hoped she didn’t sound as flustered as she felt.

As he took the bag from her, his fingers brushed hers, and the warmth of his touch sent tingles through her. She’d always scoffed at the chaste romance novels that Hinata had recommended to her, but here she was ready to swoon at the brush of his fingers.

Maybe she needed to give those novels another try.

I just want you to be happy, Sakura-chan. Kakashi-sensei, too. And the more I think about it, the more I think you guys could be perfect for each other.”

Blinking at the sudden and unexpected support, Sakura tilted her head and said, “He doesn’t even notice me. Not like that, anyway.” While Naruto’s sudden acceptance did feel like a minor victory, that didn’t erase the truth of the situation.

“That’s just because he’s an idiot when it comes to that stuff,” Naruto said casually, waving his hand. “He’s never known what’s good for him. Besides, he needs somebody who is strong enough to handle him, and caring enough to take care of him. That’s you. And you need somebody who’s strong enough not to be intimidated by you. It’s perfect.”

“You’ve actually thought about this, haven’t you?” she asked, smiling a little.

Naruto smiled a smug smile in return. “I’m not a kid anymore, either. I lead a whole village now, you know. I’m kinda deep.”

Affection bloomed in her chest at the very same time as what could only be an idiot-induced headache started to form behind her eyes. Rubbing her forehead, Sakura said, “So, what exactly is your point here?”

“My point is that you’re taking too long. It’s time to get you two together.” He said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “Don’t worry, I know you’re not good at this. Not when it comes to Kakashi-sensei, anyway. That’s why I’ve assembled a committee.”

Oh no. “A what?” Sakura spat.
