I came back with more incorrect quotes, but team ekoda version.
Tumblr media
Aoko: What do you want? Kaito: Living next to you. <3 Aoko: Perfect, let's be neighbors.
Tumblr media
Akako: I love you. Kaito: Who doesn't? Kaito: Even I'm in love with myself.
Tumblr media
Kaito: I love my evil wife who really wants to kill me. I come home from work every day and narrowly avoid one of her many death traps. When we eat dinner, I smile and say, "Poison again?" She just shrugs and laughs, we both know it's a lot of venom. Note: I took the image from Facebook just like that.
Tumblr media
Hakuba: I'm sick. KID: What do you have? Hakuba: Looking forward to seeing you. KID: You're going to die.
Tumblr media
Hakuba: You're a fuckgirl. Hakuba: You excite everyone. Akako: Not you. Akako: I love you. Hakuba: ME MORE. Akako: Did you believe it? Akako: To laugh. Note: This one in particular made me laugh a lot.
Tumblr media
Kaito in the group chat: They called me, it was extortion and they told me "we have your dad" and I answered "I no longer have a dad" and then they told me "we're sorry, we have the wrong number."
Tumblr media
Kaito: BROOOO. Hakuba: What's up, Bro? Kaito: Look in the mirror. Hakuba: Ready. Kaito: That's how ugly my life would be without you, bro. Hakuba: Bro… Hakuba: I hate you.
Tumblr media
Hakuba: I know how to manipulate people. Shinichi: Shut up, you KID is manipulating you, how do you know?
Tumblr media
Aoko: CALM FRIEND, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, YOU DON'T NEED TO DO THOSE THINGS, HE WILL LISTEN TO YOU. Akako: YOU'RE CRAZY. Akako: A BLACKOUT HAPPENED.
Tumblr media
Hakuba: Who died? Kaito: My dad. Hakuba: Really? Hakuba: My sincere condolences. Hakuba: … Hakuba: Do you want to be my boyfriend?

H Is For Hawk
Despite how busy I’ve been recently, I still wanted to do something for Hakukai week, so I picked my favorite prompt (birds) and wrote a fic for it! Apologies that it’s not more 😅 I love these two adorkable idiots so much and will definitely be writing more with them!
“We should race sometime.” Kaito watched as Watson glided smoothly back over the field onto Saguru’s leather-gloved hand. Saguru fed her a small treat and gave Kaito an amused glance out of the corner of his eye.
“She’s pretty fast, you know? I bet she could keep up with me!” Kaito laughed cheekily, bending forward and reaching out to stroke Watson’s feathers carefully. Saguru smiled at him, shaking his head.
“Considering that she was literally designed for flying, and everything about her is conducive to speed…”
“Exactly! She might just be able to barely match my pace on a good day!” He laughed. Saguru sighed, trying to hide his smile.
“Have you ever captured birds mid-flight?” Kaito stopped laughing after a moment, looking pensive.
“I’ve actually caught some of the less well-trained doves when they got out and flew away— obviously they’d never do that now, but they took some time to get acclimated to my house when I first got them…”
“You caught them from your glider?” Saguru raised his eyebrows. Kaito shrugged.
“There was no other way to catch them covertly, and not everyone puts two and two together to make four the same way you do, so no-one else knew I had them at the time.” He parroted one of their classmate’s voices perfectly, even taking on his posture as he said
“Just because Kuroba-kun used doves for a couple tricks doesn’t mean he owns some— maybe he just rented them!” Saguru stroked Watson and looked off into the distance, thoughtful.
“But— that’s not how training birds… works… you have to build up trust and make sure they know they’re safe with you, give them positive reinforcement and show that you respect their boundaries… and all that before you even consider teaching them tricks…”
“You know that because you have trained a bird in the past.” Kaito mused absentmindedly. Suddenly he did a double take, whipping his head around to look at Saguru.
“Did you—“
Saguru met his gaze, confused.
“Did I what?”
“How you just described training a bird sounded a lot like how you’ve talked about the early stages of our relationship.” Kaito’s stare remained fixed on the speechless Saguru.
“Was Watson— practice for you??” He whipped around to face the hawk who was still perched comfortably on Saguru’s glove.
“Are you the reason why we’re in a relationship??” Saguru got his words back at that, laughing a little at first before growing more serious to say
“We might have taken longer to get to this point if I’d never had experience with someone who took time and effort to build the foundation for a healthy relationship, but I always would have wanted to be with you. I always would have done anything within my power to get past that front you put up, and consequently fallen in love with you.” Kaito blushed and scoffed at this, putting a hand in front of his mouth.
“I— that’s— thank you… Hakubaka.” There was no bite in the insult, in fact it almost felt like a term of endearment. Saguru smiled at him fondly.
“Come on— let’s go inside, it’s chilly out here, and I think Watson’s had enough exercise for the day— plus, I think Baaya should have hot cocoa ready for us by now!” Kaito coughed, trying to shake his blush, and handed Saguru Watson’s hood.
“Th-that sounds good. Thank you, Sa-chan.” He murmured. Saguru gently placed the hood over Watson’s head, lacing it up, and reached to link arms with his boyfriend.
“It’s not a problem. I wanted to do it.” He gently shoved Kaito with his hip as they began walking.
“Just make sure to return the favor— I need to spend some time with your doves!” Kaito’s face lit up, and his step grew bouncier.
“Of course!”
“Now, hot chocolate.”
Thank you for reading! This was quite fun to write 😁 the title is the same as that of a nonfiction book I read once, about a woman’s story with becoming closer with a hawk (that’s a very oversimplified version of it, it gets pretty dark in some places) and some parts of it reminded me of Kaito and Saguru’s relationship, and thus, this fic was born! And for everyone wondering about my WIPs— they’re coming, I promise!!! I’m going to try to get another LR chapter up by the Friday after tomorrow!!! Goodness it’s been a while on that—
Anyhow, enough of my rambles! Thank you for reading and I wish you all a very happy Hakukai Week 2022!!

In the pjo universe, do you think kaito would be the son of apollo or poseidon? because I think him being a demigod of apollo is the most correct (it suits him too much, it's scary), but the idea of him being the son of the god of the sea with afraid of FISH doesn't get out of my head... besides I think he's visually similar to percy and they have the same boldness.
I think shinichi would be the son of hades (it matches but at the same time breaks a stereotype).
I thought about Heiji being the son of Ares and Saguru being the son of Athena, just like Haibara (but I haven't thought much about it yet).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
him afraid of fish being the son of the sea god it's so ironically good
Edit: Children of Apollo are artists, some can use their voices to curse and can even control sound waves. Kaito has already proven that he has a powerful voice and he sees himself as an artist. And let's face it, Kaito is as bright as the sun.
I didn't want to put him as the son of Hermes because it would be something so superficial "the god of thieves" kaito doesn't even like to steal, he said that himself. KID does fit with Hermes but Kaito doesn't.

It's funny that Gosho accidentally wrote Aoko being in love with Akako and Hakuba as a bit gay with Kaito, if he was trying to make HakuAka canon he failed. With shippers it's the obsession with pairing everyone up and putting two attractive people together. Also some don't like yuri or rival/enemies to lovers.
I see them having a kind of solidarity over being School Idols and the most admired boy and girl at Ekoda High School (see Valentines episode/chapter). They both like Kaito and Aoko a lot too so an alliance to keep them both safe and friend of a friend (at least with Nakamori Aoko).
I think the problems with HakuAka are that both Hakuba and Akako haven't had enough screen time together, and when they did, it was only to support Kaito.
I like Akako and Hakuba better with Kaito or Aoko because they have a more fun or interesting dynamic than with each other.
I mean, my mind can't imagine them beyond sitting quietly drinking tea or walking together arm in arm like a very silent victory couple, I can't think of them talking beyond exchanging pleasantries.
Gosho needs to give them more interactions if he wants that to work, and fix the problem of Kaito being the only person who can resist Akako's spell. I can't think of Hakuba's feelings for Akako as true because of that, it also doesn't help that Akako does have romantic feelings for Kaito.
Akako has shown genuine concern for Kaito and Aoko, enough to even consider using her magic to protect them both.
Tumblr media
Magic Kaito - Chapter 24. Shinichi almost turns into ashes just for trying to catch KID.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Magic Kaito - Chapter 29 Akako offered to accompany Aoko when she received that suspicious invitation and told Kaito not to go, she planned to protect both Kaito and Aoko.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Akako has shown that she truly cares for these two, if you compare it to her interactions with Hakuba… it leaves a lot to be desired, or at least that's how it is in my eyes.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, Hakuba has a hyper focus on Kaito and shows concern for him.
Tumblr media
And the fact that Hakuba not only likes Aoko, but they exchanged numbers and seem to call each other frequently, unlike with Akako, in Sun Halo Hakuba looks surprised that she calls him.
Tumblr media
Akako only calls him Kaito, lmao.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While Aoko and he seem to text each other frequently.
Tumblr media
Chapter 39.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 16.
It wasn't Gosho's intention, but even though Hakuba has Akako's number, their relationship seems very distant, contrary to how it is seen with Aoko. What makes it worse is that the only direct interaction between them that we see is only because of Kaito. Even if he likes her, in my eyes their relationship is pretty forgettable. In conclusion, I think people should ship them if they like, but you can't deny the lack of development they have, I honestly can't take them seriously as a couple.
Tumblr media
I think of Kaito as AoSagu's shipper. I know that's not the panel's intention, but I don't care.

I love the idea that Sonoko and Hakuba go to the rich people country club once a month just to relax and gossip about their friends. Both just play tennis and gossip.
Sonoko's like Ran and Shinichi's pining is driving me nuts. Why can't they just get together. Meanwhile Hakuba (thinking about Aoko and Kaito). They also talk about Kaito and Shinichi.
They sit and bitch about the latest fashion trends. Like how terrible the Chanel show was. Or how Dior has gone so much. Both talk about the mew designer stuff they bought recently.
Sonoko tries to set Hakuba up with other rich guys there. She just needs someone with a boyfriend, since all her friends still are in the pining stage.
Sometimes Shinichi joins them, since he's also a rich kid. Shinichi and Hakuba get along fine when Heiji and Kaito are not there.
I just need these rich teens to get together and be rich nepotism babies for awhile. Please

Detective Conan/DCMK characters in a Classroom of the Elite setting would be so interesting to watch/read.
I've only just finished the CoTE anime (Seasons 1-3) so i haven't read the manga or the light novel but the Advanced Nurturing Highschool or AHNS for short is so, so shady. If it and the White Room existed in the DCMK universe, I have no doubt in my mind that they would have some connection to the Black Organization.
So just imagine an AU where Shinichi caught Vodka doing an arms deal in middle school but didn't get caught by Gin like in canon. Imagine him trying to investigate them but coming up with nothing until he, Ran, and Sonoko are on a train ride for the first day at AHNS where he runs into Gin and Vodka, just like he did in canon episode 5.
He learns their codenames there and saves the people on the train from being bombed to hell. Unfortunately, this ends up making him, Ran and Sonoko late for their very first day. They're thankfully excused because the incident was out of their hands before being placed into their respective classes.
You can have adult characters like Jodie and Amuro be teachers and business owners while also acting as undercover agents.
Important student characters at the school:
Hattori Heiji (he can be in the same class as Shinichi where they are both antagonistic at first but later become allies and friends)
Toyama Kazuha (they were made for each, I will never seperate them)
Kuroba Kaito (who also happens to be Kaitou KID and regularly sneaks off school campus for heists. Jii Konosuke cases places for him and he contacts the man using a secret phone he smuggled in. He tends to downplay his academic and physical skill to be somewhat average so he's in Class C or B)
Nakamori Aoko
Akako Koizumi (no magic in this AU but she's interested in spirituality and shit like tarot cards and all)
Hakuba Saguru (suspects of Kaito of being KId and regularaly requests time off from school to go to the heists)
Eisuke Hondou (but only for a little while near the end of 1st year as a rival for Shinichi and love interest for Ran before going back to America to pursue the future he wanted)
Sera Masumi (would be introduced in 2nd Year when Shinichi starts investigating Bourbon as a potential subject because she somehow found out he has connection to the maker of the pill that shrunk her mother)
Important characters outside of school
Agasa Hiroshi (supplies Shinichi with spy tech)
Haibara Ai AKA Miyano Shiho (shrunken and lives with Agasa just like in canon, specifically sought Agasa out because he was a connection to Shinichi, who was involved in her sister's case and was a detective at that. They contact each other through secret phone. She also happens to be one of the failed subjects of the white room)
Miyano Akemi (During school break, Shinichi went back to Beika where he was then approached by Masami Hiroto and the rest goes like canon with her dying in his arms)
Akai Shuichi (still don't know what I'm gonna do with him but he's important)
Rena Mizunashi AKA Hidemi Hondou
Side Characters in school
Nakamichi (Shinichi's soccer friend)
Eisuke Aizawa (Shinichi's soccer friend)
Kazumi Tsukamoto (a third year in Ran's karate club)
Tashiro (Ran's friend)
Hidaka (Ran's friend)
Anyways, I imagine Shinichi being in a different class from Ran and Sonoko and just thinking about ShinRan competeing but also saving each other's asses from time to time is beautiful.
Having Kaito and Shinichi's respective Black Organization be one and the same would make it more interesting as well.
Anyways, I think these characters are fun to play around with in this setting, mixing the dramatic school life in CoTE with the looming threat of the Black Organization as Shinichi delves deeper and deeper into the case.
Idk how this would be resolved but it would be so, so fun to read if written well. Shinichi's gonna be so paranoid by the end of this lol.

My dear Watson
Hakuba Saguru x reader Words: 2.7K Warnings: slight violence (one gun shot), slight angst A/N: Hey, don't stress yourself. I hope this is alright, I think I messed up a bit towards the end :)
Tumblr media
Saguru took his hands out of his pockets and tilted his head slightly, a knowing smile on his lips. “So the only logical conclusion is that the murderer of Yamamoto Haruki-san can't be anyone else,” he paused briefly until his eyes found the person he was looking for and he pointed to her. “- than his ex-girlfriend Takahashi Aiko-san!”
She flinched, her eyes wide, an almost panicked smile on her lips. “Me? What motive would I have to kill him? And... And besides,” she raised her voice, ”I was talking loudly on the phone! So loud, in fact, that your little friend heard it!” She pointed at you and Saguru's face hardened for a split second before the confident smile returned to his lips.
“That's right. Your voice was heard. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that you were actually in the room at that moment."
With an effortless movement, he fished the small recording device out of the pocket of his coat and held it out to her, watching as her indignant expression gave way to one of resignation. “I found this outside under the window of your room. I'm sure that when the police play the recordings, we'll hear exactly what my friend heard from your room.”
A soft, resigned snort escaped Takahashi as she slumped to the floor, burying her hands in the carpet. The inspector approached Saguru and patted him once on the shoulder appreciatively before ordering his men to take Takahashi to the station for questioning so that Saguru could finally turn to face you.
He claimed that he fought crime to do justice, to bring the truth to light, just as Holmes did in his novels. What he never admitted was that he lived for the moment when he presented his conclusions and that glow appeared on your face and you smiled broadly at him, almost admiringly. Saguru had met you a few months ago, when you were falsely accused of murder. He was the only one who had realized from the beginning that you could not possibly have committed the crime and the fact that he had defended you had not been forgotten.
A few days later he met you again, this time in a more civilized setting in the park and you recognized him immediately. The fact that you had approached him and, in front of Kuroba, who had made fun of him behind Saguru's back, had asked if you could invite him to a café as a thank you, had made a slight impression on him.
He knew the kind of impression he could sometimes have on people, and the way you had been wringing your hands, he could only conclude that you had been nervous and had summoned up all your courage to speak to him. It had been touching in a strange way.
In the café, where the two of you had spent several hours in pleasant conversation, you had finally given him your number - and surprised him again. Saguru was used to getting the number of many people. He didn't pretend not to know that his looks and manners were attractive to many. But you hadn't given him your number in the hope of a date or romantic advances, no.
You had smiled wryly, ran your fingers through your hair and said you appreciated his company and hoped you could call him a friend.
To be honest, he had been too perplexed to answer at first, but he had managed to catch himself relatively quickly and had dictated his number to you with a broad, honest smile. In the weeks that followed, Saguru had been lucky enough to be in your presence several times and he had quickly realized that you were a more than pleasant presence in his life. You had a kind of humor that made him laugh every time. Your stories, no matter how jumbled they were told, managed to captivate him every time. And the most refreshing thing for him?
You had no expectations of him.
People always had expectations of Saguru. Perfect son, excellent student, well-mannered gentleman and so on. Rarely did he meet a person who simply took him as he was, which is why he approached your warm, open presence like moths to a flame.
And yet, no matter how hard he tried, he didn't always manage to keep you out of his cases. Saguru did his best, but sometimes, when the crime had just been committed, there was no other way. And yet you surprised him again by remaining relatively calm. Although you were rarely able to draw the necessary conclusions that led to the solution of the mystery, you often offered a perspective that he had not considered before or found clues that others easily overlooked. This had happened so often until he was asked where his “Watson” was when he was alone on a case, as the two of you were rarely seen alone.
And he had been happy. Until his heart started beating strangely fast from one day to the next. It didn't take a genius to figure out why - Saguru developed romantic feelings for you. And normally, he was the kind of person who would deal with it quickly and confess his feelings so that he could deal with them appropriately. With you, however, his throat closed up every time he tried.
Because no matter how much he thought and pondered, he couldn't deduce what your feelings were towards him. To him, you were a sealed book. In other circumstances, such a prospect, such a challenge would have thrilled him - now it only made him feel queasy as his heart began to flutter at the sight of you or the sound of your voice.
“Fantastic as always, Mr. Holmes,” you smiled and stepped towards him, whereupon the aforementioned fluttering of his heart once again started in his chest. Your eyes seemed to sparkle and the warm feeling that spread through him was almost unbearable.
“I wouldn't have made it if you hadn't pointed out the dent in the door frame.” “Yes, you would have,” you replied and tilted your head slightly, a mischievous smile on your lips. “It just would have taken you a little longer.” Saguru was still thinking about what to say when Takahashi suddenly raised her voice behind him.
“He had it coming.” Saguru turned around with a furrowed brow and saw that she was now back on her feet, tears streaming down her cheeks. Whether they were tears of anger or sadness, however, he could not determine. “No one deserves to die,” he argued, but she only laughed shrilly. “He took everything from me. Everything!” Saguru felt you move behind him, now tense as well, as she continued to laugh. “Takahashi-san, I have to ask you-” he started again, but was interrupted by her. “That bastard betrayed me! He drove me to ruin! He exposed me in front of everyone!”
All at once she tore herself away from the policemen and pulled a pistol out of the inside pocket of her jacket. Screams rang out, shouts from the policemen, but the only thing Saguru could think of while his eyes were fixed on the barrel of the gun was to protect you. Slowly, he pushed himself in front of you, hoping to cover you with his body, but this movement seemed to attract Takahashi's attention as she instantly pointed the gun at him.
He heard you gasp, but he couldn't worry about you - his focus was now entirely on the desperate woman in front of him. “Takahashi-san, put the gun down. No innocent people need to die.” She laughed out, the exasperation clear on her face. “Innocent people don't have to die, that's true. But you, you ruined everything. You are not innocent.”
For once, his excellent brain let him down. For once, he wasn't able to draw the necessary conclusion quickly enough. For once, you were faster than him. Saguru barely managed to open his eyes before the sound of a bang echoed through the room. Without even registering what had happened, he felt someone grab him by the coat and fall to the floor with him. A pained groan rang out, followed by a heavy weight on top of him, while the shouts of the policemen rang out as they wrestled Takahashi to the ground.
Saguru didn't care, however, as his gaze was focused on your form in shock. You lay crumpled over him, knocking him to the ground, and he was horrified to feel something warm and moist seeping through onto his top.
“Hey! Hey!” Panic set in as he sat up and quickly but gently rolled you off him, only to gasp in terror. A red mark had begun to form on your right side and judging by the pain-filled groans, it wasn't just a graze. “We need a doctor! “ he shouted, waiting long enough to see the inspector reach for his phone and shout orders before turning to you and trying to staunch the wound.
“Why?!” he burst out, trying to suppress the tingling in his eyes. “Why would you do something so reckless, so stupid?” You smiled weakly before your eyes rolled back and you lost consciousness. He shouted your name, lightly slapping your cheek, but it made no difference.
Saguru didn't know how long it took for the emergency doctors to come and pull him away from your body, carry it onto a stretcher and carry it out. He followed them every step of the way to the ambulance, where he was allowed to ride along. He was grateful to the inspector for having Takahashi taken away already. Saguru couldn't guarantee that he would have been able to pull himself together and remain rational.
~**~
Four hours, ten minutes, five seconds.
Saguru stared at his pocket watch, transfixed, while the chaos of the hospital continued around him. It had been that long since you had been shot. He had been asked to come back tomorrow, as it was already late, but no one in the world could have taken him further away from you than the hospital corridor at that moment. Exactly twenty-two minutes and thirty seconds ago, one of the doctors had gone to him and assured him that the operation had been successful.
Saguru hadn't been ashamed of the tears of relief that had streamed down his cheeks. He had been assured that he would be told when you woke up and the doctors' final checks had been carried out.
And while outwardly he gave off a controlled appearance, he had to pull himself together several times not to jump up and demand to be brought to you.
Saguru opened and closed his watch and resisted the urge to trudge up and down the corridor when a nurse suddenly approached him. “Are you Hakuba Saguru-san?” He looked up immediately and stood up, nodding. She gestured for him to follow her and Saguru had to pull himself together not to ask her to walk faster.
After what seemed like an eternity - it was exactly two minutes and fourteen seconds - they stopped in front of a room. “Please stay calm and try not to upset the patient. They need to rest.” He nodded and bowed hastily in thanks, waiting until the nurse was out of sight. Only then did he exhale briefly to calm his nervously beating heart before he knocked, waited briefly and then entered.
The first thing that crossed Saguru's mind when he saw you was that you had never looked more out of place. The room was plain and sterile, both walls and furniture painted an unpleasantly cold white, so that he was a little ashamed of himself for not having brought you flowers to at least add some color. Of course, he was aware that all the stores were closed by now and he probably couldn't have moved away from the hospital corridor himself even if he'd wanted to, because the mere thought that you might need him and he wouldn't be there broke his heart.
“Hey,” he mumbled, slowly stepping closer until he could sit in the chair next to your bed and your hand was in his. You looked weak, drained and pale, but you were still smiling slightly at him. “When the nurse said that there was an upset young man in the hallway who hadn't moved for hours, it wasn't hard to figure out who she meant.”
It was clearly an attempt to lighten the mood, but he didn't feel like joking. Instead, he clutched your hand even tighter. “What were you thinking? You could have been hurt worse!” His voice wasn't loud or accusatory, just exhausted and quiet. You turned your head slightly so you could see him better. “Is that any way to thank your savior?” Again, he didn't respond to your jokes.
“Stop it, please. You could have died!” His eyes fluttered over your face, now registering sympathy and slight sadness, and it was wrong. You were shot! He should have sympathy for you! “I could have lost you. Forever! Do you think I could live with that?” His voice got softer and softer towards the end and he lowered his head in the hope that you wouldn't see the tears gathering in his eyes. Of course you saw them.
“Hey.” You gently put a hand on his cheek and gently pushed his head up so that he had to look at you. There was nothing but affection in your face for the young detective. “You're my closest friend. Of course I would take the bullet for you. And I'd do it again every time. Because you're important to me.”
Your eyes lingered on each other and your face was so close to his that he could have counted your eyelashes and he was sure you could feel the warmth radiating from his blushing cheeks.
He blamed what happened next on the stress and anxiety of that night, on his tiredness and months of longing, hence why he couldn't stop the words that tumbled from his mouth.
“I love you.”
You blinked, puzzled, and Saguru would have loved to pull his face back in shame, but you didn't allow it. “Okay? I mean, we're friends, you should-” “No,” Saguru interrupted you and rubbed his forehead. He hadn't intended to confess his feelings to you, especially not in this way, but it was too late and he had to make do with what the situation gave him, no matter how much he disliked it.
“I don't mean platonically. I don't love you like a best friend or a partner in crime.” He straightened up and looked as deeply and honestly into his eyes as he could. “I love you in a deeper way. You're the anchor when I doubt myself and feel like I'm drowning. You've always been there for me, always supported me and accepted me for who I am. You never blamed me for anything, you never had any expectations of me. You simply took me as I was. And that's just one of the few reasons why I love you. But I do, more than I probably should. I can't change it, though.” He guided your hand, which was still in his, to his chest, directly over his heart. “My heart beats for you and only for you. And when I saw you lying on the floor today, covered in blood, I had the feeling that it would never beat again. So please, my darling, please, don't ever do this to me again.”
Gently, he lifted your hand to his lips and pressed a kiss to the back of your hand. “I love you. You can send me away, ignore me and hate me, but it won't change anything.” The blood had rushed to your cheeks during his confession and you gazed at him from wide, shimmering eyes.
“Saguru-kun.”
It was the first time you used his first name and he let out a gasp, too surprised by your words that he didn't realize you had come closer until you gently brought his head to yours and pressed your lips to his. It was a short, almost chaste kiss, but Saguru had the feeling that his head was short-circuiting. You smiled at him and ran your hand lovingly through his hair.
“That was incredibly cheesy.” A smile slowly spread across his lips and he placed his hand against your cheek, gently stroking your skin with his thumb. “If this is the reward for being cheesy, you're in for a treat.” You leaned into his hand, your eyes closed. “I think I can live with that.”

Ekoda Gang headcanons ?
Not sure if this counts as a headcanon or just a fic idea, but
With how sophisticated Hakuba is and how elegant Akako is, they make a mature couple. Combined with Kaito's playfulness and Aoko's innocence. Then you got a family of 4.
It's either a joke someone in class made, or it was Aoko's.
Either way, it took them (mostly Hakuba and Akako) a while to get used to it and even embrace it.
Akako claims that she is Kaito's mother because they are both born with a magical destiny.
Aoko doesn't fully get it, but she then claims that Hakuba is her dad because their dads both work for the police force.
And Hakuba and Kaito look at each other like ( ゚_ ゚) ┐(゚ _゚ )┌
Or
Aoko is actually the glue of the group. Sure, Akako and Hakuba were mostly there for Kaito, but it was Aoko that made them a friend group. If it was up to Kaito, he would mostly ignore them.
Aoko is the one who comes up with ideas for a group hangout. They take turns on who gets to plan the day. Hakuba was then banned from becoming a planner because he was too meticulous with time.
Each of the members has a vastly different palate. I headcanon that Akako would enjoy spicy food, and Hakuba has a refined palate. Both Kaito and Aoko have a sweet tooth. So it is difficult to find a place for them to eat. Not if you are Akako-sama (Mirror Mirror on the wall, am I right?). Thanks to her, they always find the best place that can satisfy their taste.

Seeing the colors reminds me of them. And I think Aoko does too, so she named the group chats The Shijin (四神).
