It's funny that Gosho accidentally wrote Aoko being in love with Akako and Hakuba as a bit gay with Kaito, if he was trying to make HakuAka canon he failed. With shippers it's the obsession with pairing everyone up and putting two attractive people together. Also some don't like yuri or rival/enemies to lovers.

I see them having a kind of solidarity over being School Idols and the most admired boy and girl at Ekoda High School (see Valentines episode/chapter). They both like Kaito and Aoko a lot too so an alliance to keep them both safe and friend of a friend (at least with Nakamori Aoko).

I think the problems with HakuAka are that both Hakuba and Akako haven't had enough screen time together, and when they did, it was only to support Kaito.

I like Akako and Hakuba better with Kaito or Aoko because they have a more fun or interesting dynamic than with each other.

I mean, my mind can't imagine them beyond sitting quietly drinking tea or walking together arm in arm like a very silent victory couple, I can't think of them talking beyond exchanging pleasantries.

Gosho needs to give them more interactions if he wants that to work, and fix the problem of Kaito being the only person who can resist Akako's spell. I can't think of Hakuba's feelings for Akako as true because of that, it also doesn't help that Akako does have romantic feelings for Kaito.

Akako has shown genuine concern for Kaito and Aoko, enough to even consider using her magic to protect them both.

Magic Kaito - Chapter 24. Shinichi almost turns into ashes just for trying to catch KID.

Magic Kaito - Chapter 29 Akako offered to accompany Aoko when she received that suspicious invitation and told Kaito not to go, she planned to protect both Kaito and Aoko.

Akako has shown that she truly cares for these two, if you compare it to her interactions with Hakuba… it leaves a lot to be desired, or at least that's how it is in my eyes.

On the other hand, Hakuba has a hyper focus on Kaito and shows concern for him.

And the fact that Hakuba not only likes Aoko, but they exchanged numbers and seem to call each other frequently, unlike with Akako, in Sun Halo Hakuba looks surprised that she calls him.

Akako only calls for Kaito, lmao.

While Aoko and he seem to text each other frequently.

It wasn't Gosho's intention, but even though Hakuba has Akako's number, their relationship seems very distant, contrary to how it is seen with Aoko. What makes it worse is that the only direct interaction between them that we see is only because of Kaito. Even if he likes her, in my eyes their relationship is pretty forgettable. In conclusion, I think people should ship them if they like, but you can't deny the lack of development they have, I honestly can't take them seriously as a couple.

I think of Kaito as AoSagu's shipper. I know that's not the panel's intention, but I don't care.

There was this au were it was basically about Kaito being just a regular magician n his assistant akako that tries to screw him over every magic show with her’s. I am sorry i forgot who made this up xd but I’m still trying to make more drawings of this idea honestly, it’s really cute I can’t help it . I have some ideas such like

1. Akako doesn’t attend the same school as Kaito or maybe even they aren’t in school

2. Every time she gets close to her end game goal she stops herself and she doesn’t know why

3. Maybe Kaito is still a student with akako and they have keep their identities a secret because they’re famous (?) xD honestly

Maybe I'm the only one who didn't remember that Ranma Saotome and Kaito Kuroba share the same seiyuu 🤣And when I remembered it I couldn't help but think of the Romeo and Juliet episode, more specifically this scene.

and that made me think what would have happened if the episode had happened in magic kaito and by chance Kaito and Aoko had been the protagonists. Would Aoko have used the adecitive tape? Would Kaito kiss Aoko or would he use the adhesive tape? If Aoko used the adhesive tape on Kaito, would he be upset? Would this work be before or after a Kaito kid robbery? Would Akako do everything possible to stop Kaito from kissing Aoko?

Detective Conan/DCMK characters in a Classroom of the Elite setting would be so interesting to watch/read.

I've only just finished the CoTE anime (Seasons 1-3) so i haven't read the manga or the light novel but the Advanced Nurturing Highschool or AHNS for short is so, so shady. If it and the White Room existed in the DCMK universe, I have no doubt in my mind that they would have some connection to the Black Organization.

So just imagine an AU where Shinichi caught Vodka doing an arms deal in middle school but didn't get caught by Gin like in canon. Imagine him trying to investigate them but coming up with nothing until he, Ran, and Sonoko are on a train ride for the first day at AHNS where he runs into Gin and Vodka, just like he did in canon episode 5.

He learns their codenames there and saves the people on the train from being bombed to hell. Unfortunately, this ends up making him, Ran and Sonoko late for their very first day. They're thankfully excused because the incident was out of their hands before being placed into their respective classes.

You can have adult characters like Jodie and Amuro be teachers and business owners while also acting as undercover agents.

Important student characters at the school:

Hattori Heiji (he can be in the same class as Shinichi where they are both antagonistic at first but later become allies and friends)

Toyama Kazuha (they were made for each, I will never seperate them)

Kuroba Kaito (who also happens to be Kaitou KID and regularly sneaks off school campus for heists. Jii Konosuke cases places for him and he contacts the man using a secret phone he smuggled in. He tends to downplay his academic and physical skill to be somewhat average so he's in Class C or B)

Nakamori Aoko

Akako Koizumi (no magic in this AU but she's interested in spirituality and shit like tarot cards and all)

Hakuba Saguru (suspects of Kaito of being KId and regularaly requests time off from school to go to the heists)

Eisuke Hondou (but only for a little while near the end of 1st year as a rival for Shinichi and love interest for Ran before going back to America to pursue the future he wanted)

Sera Masumi (would be introduced in 2nd Year when Shinichi starts investigating Bourbon as a potential subject because she somehow found out he has connection to the maker of the pill that shrunk her mother)

Important characters outside of school

Agasa Hiroshi (supplies Shinichi with spy tech)

Haibara Ai AKA Miyano Shiho (shrunken and lives with Agasa just like in canon, specifically sought Agasa out because he was a connection to Shinichi, who was involved in her sister's case and was a detective at that. They contact each other through secret phone. She also happens to be one of the failed subjects of the white room)

Miyano Akemi (During school break, Shinichi went back to Beika where he was then approached by Masami Hiroto and the rest goes like canon with her dying in his arms)

Akai Shuichi (still don't know what I'm gonna do with him but he's important)

Rena Mizunashi AKA Hidemi Hondou

Nakamichi (Shinichi's soccer friend)

Anyways, I imagine Shinichi being in a different class from Ran and Sonoko and just thinking about ShinRan competeing but also saving each other's asses from time to time is beautiful.

Having Kaito and Shinichi's respective Black Organization be one and the same would make it more interesting as well.

Anyways, I think these characters are fun to play around with in this setting, mixing the dramatic school life in CoTE with the looming threat of the Black Organization as Shinichi delves deeper and deeper into the case.

Idk how this would be resolved but it would be so, so fun to read if written well. Shinichi's gonna be so paranoid by the end of this lol.

Akako and Kaito relationship headcanons? Platonic and romantic if you can.

Please take this bunch of Kaito x Akako romance headcanons. 1. Kaito is the one doing the cooking in their relationship, he doesn't believe Akako would poison him, but he wouldn't risk it either. 2. When they sleep and take naps together, Aoko goes to look for them because they would just spend the whole day sleeping.

Kaito would be the first to wake up, he would look at Akako, smile and go back to sleep.

Akako would be the last to fall asleep, she stays awake to watch him sleep and make sure he doesn't have nightmares, she uses her magic to manipulate them and make him have nice dreams. 3. One time KID was being cornered by Snake and his boys, his hang glider was broken, he thought it would be the end, then a soft voice called him and said "Do you need a ride?" and extended her hand towards him. It was Phantom Lady riding a broom, the worry vanished when he saw her, he could only smile and say "If it's not an inconvenience for you, beautiful lady."

Okay, I can't help but think of Akako taking on the role of Phantom Lady and helping Kaito with his heists.

She definitely uses her simpler, less dangerous spells to support him.

4. Also, both sometimes sit on Akako's broom and look at the night sky, Kaito usually carries a blanket or uses KID's cloak to share with Akako and keep her from being cold. 5. When Kaito is sick or injured, Akako covers for him during his robberies as KID, making sure no one suspects him. 6. They both use romantic nicknames for each other, but not the typical "my love, my honey", he calls her his "precious and charming witch" or "the woman who enchanted his heart", Akako calls him "My sun, my moon, my light in the darkness". 7. Kaito always suffers when Akako catches a cold, every time he sneezes he casts random spells, some are silly like his hair turning green, others are more annoying, like being turned into a mouse and almost being eaten by the neighborhood cats, however, he will never leave his sweet witch alone. 8. Kaito learns magic from Akako, she explains to him everything she knows about magical jewels and about dangerous creatures that might appear in his path.

Kaito learns simple spells, and even uses them in his performances!

Kaito asks Akako if there is a variation of the "appearing roses" trick but with real magic, Akako says yes and shows him how to do it, when Kaito masters it, a flower appears for Akako and says "I know you like real magic, so I will only use this magic for you." 9. Akako is very protective of Kaito, she will use her magic to defend him from nosy detectives playing pranks on him.

One time, poor Hakuba had his desk filled with frogs.

Shinichi started losing things, he assumed it was because he was distracted, a witch actually got mad at him for kicking a ball at her boyfriend.

"How dare you ruin her pretty face?!" 10. Akako and Kaito always walk with their arms linked, this started because they started dating and Kaito was embarrassed to hold Akako's hand, but when he noticed that several boys were approaching her because they assumed they were friends, he began to offer her his arm so they could walk together. 11. They dig up graves together, Kaito isn't sure why Akako likes burying things in the graveyard or digging up corpses so much, but he doesn't ask, assuming it's witch stuff.

"You know, when you said we were going on a date, this wasn't the first thing I thought of." Kaito continues digging as he asks, confusion can be heard in his voice.

"This is just as fun as watching a horror movie." Akako mentions it with amusement and charm, as if going to dig up corpses is an acceptable equivalent of going to the movies.

"You make me question how crazy I am for being in love with you." 12. They take their birds out for a walk together, and unexpectedly Akako's crows get along quite well with Kaito's pigeons.

Kaito calls Akako the mother of his pigeons, and Akako calls him the father of her crows.

Akako and Kaito send each other romantic notes with their birds. 13. For Kaito's birthday, Akako used a spell so Kaito could talk to his father who was clearly very dead.

Kaito called her "the best girlfriend ever" and Akako didn't tell him that she almost brought him back (as a zombie), which she thought was a little disrespectful. 14. When Kaito destroyed Pandora, he collected some fragments and had a ring made with which he asked Akako to marry him.

Pandora is a symbol of eternity, and of his personal suffering, I find it romantic that he gave a part of that to Akako.

15. One of the scenarios I often think about is these two having 1 child, because I can't stop thinking about how paranormal that would be. Kaito trying to get his son down from the roof, or telling his guests things like "Careful! My son hasn't learned about gravity yet!" or just the kid turning his head like a character from a horror movie.

Ekoda Gang headcanons ?

Not sure if this counts as a headcanon or just a fic idea, but

With how sophisticated Hakuba is and how elegant Akako is, they make a mature couple. Combined with Kaito's playfulness and Aoko's innocence. Then you got a family of 4.

It's either a joke someone in class made, or it was Aoko's.

Either way, it took them (mostly Hakuba and Akako) a while to get used to it and even embrace it.

Akako claims that she is Kaito's mother because they are both born with a magical destiny.

Aoko doesn't fully get it, but she then claims that Hakuba is her dad because their dads both work for the police force.

And Hakuba and Kaito look at each other like ( ﾟ_ ﾟ) ┐(ﾟ _ﾟ )┌

Aoko is actually the glue of the group. Sure, Akako and Hakuba were mostly there for Kaito, but it was Aoko that made them a friend group. If it was up to Kaito, he would mostly ignore them.

Aoko is the one who comes up with ideas for a group hangout. They take turns on who gets to plan the day. Hakuba was then banned from becoming a planner because he was too meticulous with time.

Each of the members has a vastly different palate. I headcanon that Akako would enjoy spicy food, and Hakuba has a refined palate. Both Kaito and Aoko have a sweet tooth. So it is difficult to find a place for them to eat. Not if you are Akako-sama (Mirror Mirror on the wall, am I right?). Thanks to her, they always find the best place that can satisfy their taste.

And

Seeing the colors reminds me of them. And I think Aoko does too, so she named the group chats The Shijin (四神).

I watched the magic kaito manga again and I couldn't help but compare this scene to NANA!!!

I'll be honest with you, the only ships I have that are non-canon and non-heterosexual that I like from DC and MK are two, one from Akako x Aoko and the other from Shiho x Ran (don't get mad :"( )

I relate the characters Nana and Hachi more to Shiho and Ran, it is not because of their personalities themselves, but because of the anime's phrases that I often think fit both of them well, although in terms of personality I feel that in some ways it is more Aoko who looks like Hachi and that's why while reading Magic Kaito in the chapter of Akako's first appearance, I couldn't help but think that this scene is a bit similar to Hachi and Nana's first meeting.
