Guide [Edogawa Conan] and Sentinel [Kaitou KID].

Kuroba Kaito, a self-proclaimed Neutral, moonlights as Kaitou KID to look for Pandora, a jewel that grants immortality. (His backstory follows canon, more or less.) Kaito is actually a Sentinel.

Kudou Shinichi is a Guide whose guidance is too complex for most Sentinels to follow through. He uses facts and logics to build mental sanctuaries — where Guide communicates with their Sentinel, calms them when they’re on the verge of Zoning, etc.

Their first meeting is during a heist. Shinichi’s first impression of KID is that the thief is a show off who wastes police resources for his own entertainment. A clever, tricky entertainment, filled with his favourites — riddles and mind games, puzzles, pranks, traps, oh how witty, he just escapes, which gives him a great rush of satisfaction for being able to decipher them — and are harmless enough, a refreshing break from murder cases he encounters daily, but still, show off.

Kaito’s first impression of Shinichi is that the detective is a nerd. Who even counts — himself not included — the number of cards that were used and draws conclusions based on that to pinpoint his disguise… The cards are from a dozen pack…??? Plus the guy uses a voice changer — in the form of a red bow tie — to redirect the officers Kaito had fooled with his own voice-changing abilities… This guy is not to be messed with. Definitely a nerd, though. He looks good with those glasses.

Anyway, on their nth showdown, Black Organization shows up and they were forced to work together. Their Sentinel-Guide soulmates connection forms an unbreakable bond, accidentally.

Thus, Shinichi recognizes Kaito when Ran and Aoko bring them for a meetup.

Gradually, Shinichi comes to know why KID steals. With Shinichi holding the Spades and Kaito the Clovers, the pair traverse the world to search for Pandora. Their connection of Hearts are tested, again and again, all for the sake of one Diamond, which shall end this game of cards once and for all.

Fanfic ideas of mine #1

so here is my crazy idea

it start with Kaito. He is living in world where organization took everything from him. His family, friends, love etc. its supposted to be kaishin story and he is KID and he is hauted by them and searching for Pandora. He is alone. One day he will find a magical stone but they also find him. He is injured/killed when he try to escape with his hanglider.

And here is the time for magical gem. The gem takes Kaito into the differnt world. Its a ninjago world but there are only characters from DC/MK and its bit of superheros au too XD

So Japan is actually our ninjago. The magic is realy and so are magical creatures from differnt worlds. They are hiding among people who has no idea about their existence. For example your nice very normal neighbour could be very evil lord of underwold or just mysterious fighter who saves your life when you need it.

Kaito get transported here. Toichi is alive but Kaito from this world was killed as child... and Conan thing still happened but its bit different.

Let's see let's see hmmmm what smell should we make for shinichi's pheromones. Coffee?since he like ice coffee Or maybe lemon? Since he also like lemon pie ughh I'm kinda lost with this one

for the story my idea is:

High school detective kudo shinichi (alpha) trun into omega after taking a unknow drug from bad guys dressed in black (he dun shrunk and theres no conan in this AU)

Anddd imma gonna skip everything and jump to the point where in a certain heist shinichi got into heat out of nowhere even tho he's not in his heat cycle and he took medicine properly and yet the moment he meet kaito he suddenly got into heat—And that's when they both know that– they've finally meet their fated pair but not under favourable condition when one is a phantom theif and one is a detective.They both tried to deny their fate as fated pair but in the end they just can't, when they're alone they just cant resist to each other*Insert dramatic narration*

Anyway have some KaiShin Coffee Shop AU. I just really like the idea of post canon! DCMK when both of them are in uni, and Kaito starts to work in a coffee shop where Shinichi happens to frequent (coincidence). And then one day Kaito saw Shinichi came in and was like huh wtf great detective??? but in truth, Shinichi knew all along that Kaito was KID and had just started to work here.

Thus boom, love. Classic.

When I first pitched the idea of a Kaishin murder mystery inspired by the classic Noir films of the ‘30s for this year's Kaishin Big Bang 2024, I had no idea that this would be the direction this project would go in. It’s grown into a world and story I never thought I’d have the chops to visually develop, all thanks to the hard work of the incredible @kinsdura in bringing this story to life on paper and bearing with my crazy ideas. Most of the work has been quite technical and bts, but it has truly been a team effort to get this done.

Let It Consume You has become a collaboration I can definitely say I am very proud of. As always, thank you to Mac @kaishinbigbang for hosting this wonderful event! Additionally, I want to take the time to hype up our story, the link to which is here! You won’t regret having a look at @kinsdura’s fic; it’s a joy to read and full of suspense, great pacing, and a flirtatiously dangerous predator-and-prey dynamic between Kaito and Shinichi.

This will not be the last you will hear of LICU! Hope to continue developing our little harbour town and this au into something we can all step back and appreciate in the future :) Maybe I’ll post those too 😂

KAISHIN FIC IDEA: THE PHANTOM

Heya! It's been awhile since I've posted anything in regards to KaiShin. Not for the lack of interest, mind you. Just have ideas for other OTPs of mine

This is purely self-indulgent, so please keep that in mind:

The basic premise is based on the whole M27 where its revealed that KaiShin are cousins and Touichi is alive, basically faking his death

Now while Shinichi is still dating Ran considering its set after the Kyoto arc, he's also been struggling with his attraction and grudging affections towards Kaito. Since its legal and while awkward (considering his reaction towards a pair of married cousins from an early case on board a ship), its sorta a normal thing for cousins to marry in Japan. Nevertheless, the reveal makes things more complicated for Shinichi and to save himself the headache and drama, he buries those affections

Because with Ran, things are simpler. The girl he's been in love with since kindergarten. Beautiful and sweet. Neither a criminal nor does he share a complicated bloodline. He has a future with Ran

Being in love with Kaito is dangerous and unpredictable. Complicated and messy

So he chooses Ran

Now with Kaito, the reveal unfortunately breaks him. Its the ultimate betrayal. His father, mother, uncle and aunt, were all in on it. What became the last straw is how the reveal also made Shinichi retreat from him

He knew that he didn't have a snowball chance in hell for Shinichi to choose him. Ran is everything Kaito is not after all. Now while Shinichi got mad on his behalf regarding the cruel charade their family had weaved, his retreat also made it clear in Kaito's eyes that no one in his family will ever choose him either

This, unfortunately, is what drives Kaito completely insane

After they bring down the Crows, Kaito sought out Haibara to cash in the favour for saving her life. He asks for the APTXN4869, asking her to erase everything in his DNA and genetics that ties him to his family

Perhaps out of pity or a morose sense of understanding, Haibara agrees

The resulting erasure of genetics and dna took the melanin away in his system (which I doubt is possible in real life) and causes Kaito's hair to turn white and his eyes silver

He cuts ties from his family, especially now that there's nothing legal nor anything genetic binding them anymore

I dunno exactly how I want this au to end but I honestly just want to see an AU where Kaito has white hair and silver eyes as well be completely KID with no civilian identity

This au can also easily work without KaiShin being cousins like in M27 too. I just like the added drama, that's all 😅😆

He perfectly can have another family and a kid with Conan age, like, he pretended to be dead and decided to go full *new life, new me* route (and he went away long enough to have a Kid half Kaito Age)

Yeah let's make the Kuroba family more chaotic and terrible

"Kaito, your dad is alive! And you have a half brother! Can you take care of him? Thank you! Love ya!" Said Kaito mom while she have *murder* in her eyes.

The new lil bro is confused.

The new lil bro looks a lot like Conan.

To make stuff more dumb and chaotic, the kid life is Conan cover, but true.

Family in America? Yes

Super smart because TV? Yes

Kaito wants to scream but now he have a bro to take care.

This could be Kaishin or not, but if we add Shinichi is hilarious because he is back to his normal body and the first thing that happens is that Conan gets a double... after he said thar Conan is back to America, terrible timing, F.

The thing is, I can't see Toichi with good eyes anymore, hahaha...

I talked about a KaiShin au I wanted to write before instead of just sharing it on tumblr but because I've been too busy I haven't had the chance but I still want to share.

It starts with Jii suffering a permanent injury during a heist and Kaito has to find a new assistant. Of course, he does not want to replace Jii and finding an assistant for a phantom thief is easier said than done, however neither Jii nor his mother will let him continue his night time job until he finds one. Kaito, however, doesn't want to give Snake and his org the chance for an upper hand so the next full moon he plans a heist behind their back.

On the other hand, Haibara has found a permanent cure however there is just one problem, the BO still exists. She gives Shinichi the choice, stay as Conan and continue be on the frontline so to speak or return to his OG body and go into hiding, working from the shadows. Shinichi chooses the later, however he soon finds out that sitting and waiting is much harder for him to do. When he hears about the KID heist, he decides it's a good way to help him get rid of some of his restless energy.

The heist goes as planned and Shinichi accurately predicts where KID will escape too so they can have their rooftop romantic talk when the sniper attacks. KID thinks it's his usual unwanted guest, Shinichi thinks he's been found out, the two realise that they might have a common enemy. In their escape KID gets injured keeping Shinichi safe and Shinichi jumps into action making sure they both escape, and that's when he finds out that KID no longer has his assistant when he asks KID to call him and KID is just like "yeah, about that..." as he's bleeding out.

Then an insane idea pops into Shinichi's head. It's clear KID might have a connection to the BO, Shinichi wants to do more but is being kept housebound, and he and KID work very well together. Maybe he jokes "I should be your assistant" in a sarcastic way but the idea doesn't leave either of his or Kaito's minds.

And that's how Shinichi becomes the assistant to Kaito KID.

I ended up combining the hanahaki prompt with the suggested tropes of soulmate AU and angst. Red string of fate has always been my favorite soulmate AU and the idea grabbed me right away.

You know how the first KID called himself Shinichi's younger brother (courtesy of Yuusaku reading 1412 wrong after Shinichi was born)? In a world where they aren't related how do you imagine this impacting KaiShin dynamics?

I had the funny thought of Conan scolding Touichi as the elder brother for being a bad adult.

My girlfriend and I have a whole au about this.

Well, specifically Kaito and Shinichi meeting each other as children, in that au Shinichi and Toichi get along very badly. I like to think of it as the AU where a 40 year old man with a single mother complex has a rivalry with a weird 5 year old boy. But back to your question...

Well, let's imagine Shinichi asked Yuusaku about the brother thing, knowing Yuusaku he would say something like:

"Oh yeah, you have a very troublesome little brother."

Shinichi is perfectly fine with the idea, he likes being an older brother, however, this makes him start asking Yuusaku a lot of questions.

Shinichi is smart, but he's still young, so he assumes that "he's the older brother, because the other young man came later into his parents' lives", he assumes that his "younger brother" is adopted, and the reason he doesn't live with them is because the "younger brother" must be 17 or something (he'll be going to college soon, he assumes). Shinichi only accepts this fact because his parents are weird, something he confirms over the years.

He keeps the memory of “having a younger brother” deep in his mind. And he doesn't remember it at all until, years later, he realizes who his “younger brother” really is and discovers that his deduction was wrong.

But because he finds the fact funny, in the next heist he attends, he calls Kaito his “younger brother”, and Kaito takes it as a funny joke but is confused.

“Apparently, it's something your predecessor had with my father.”

“I see, I had no idea about that, I assume my predecessor called you that way because your father was the one who named 1412 right?”

“Yes, although I thought your predecessor would tell you.”

In a moment of confidence, Kaito dares to reveal a secret.

“I wasn't supposed to take his place.”

Shinichi certainly never thought about KID's predecessor until that funny coincidence happened, but he also didn't expect this revelation, which started to make everything even stranger.

"What do you mean by that?"

"The world works in very curious ways, but you know that better than me, don't you? Little detective."

This only makes Shinichi have doubts about why KID steals.

That "I wasn't supposed to take his place" thing haunts him and brings up questions, like, "What happened to KID's predecessor? Why was there an 8-year hiatus? Was someone other than the KID he knows and (loves) going to be the new KID? Why did (his) KID have to take his place if that was the case? Does KID even want to be KID? So they would never have met if he never became KID?" The last two thoughts make him want to investigate.

He needs information, so he decides he first has to find out who KID's predecessor is. He searches for skilled magicians from 8 years ago and comes across Kuroba Toichi, who is deceased and then finds out that he was married and had a son, a son who is almost his age.

It's not hard to figure out who the current KID is.

Neither is it hard to figure out that KID isn't looking for something, but for someone.

Finding out that KID is actually seeking revenge gave him clarity and concern. While KID has never killed or seriously injured anyone, “What about them? With the people who killed his father, he might not be so forgiving.”

Shinichi doesn’t have the full picture, so he has to ask KID. It’s risky, but the next time they meet and are alone, Shinichi calls him “Kuroba Kaito,” KID simply laughs and says, “Is that supposed to mean something?” Shinichi continues and replies, “I know why you steal.”

“Well, what’s your theory?”

“It’s not a theory, you want revenge.”

“Have you told anyone about your theory yet?”

“No, I want you to tell me what you’re planning.”

“What if I don’t want to?”

“…”

“Please tell me.”

“Aren’t you going to threaten me with arrest?”

"You'll disappear if I do."

"I'm not going to stop you… unless you're planning on killing someone."

KID laughs, this doesn't seem funny to Shinichi, who is genuinely worried, there are people who kill for revenge. He doesn't want KID to end up like that!

"Oh, don't look at me like that, I'm not making fun of you, anyway, you don't have to worry, I'm not going to kill anyone, I've never had that desire, but you're not wrong, I'm looking for revenge."

All this text, to say that I think that if Shinichi had a clue about Kaito's reasons for stealing he would probably be more understanding of him (and he would be very worried, I mean, the mysterious and nice guy he sees once a month and who has mostly only provided him with help could be planning a murder). He doesn't want KID to be another criminal.

Anyway, I think that Kaito noticing Shinichi's good will would lead him to open up to him, telling him the truth, although omitting details: "that he is looking for a jewel to destroy it, because the people who killed his father want it, and that is his way of revenge" and perhaps more explicitly how "he feels he has to do this, because he never got over his father's death and hopes that this will help him move on."

Shinichi offers to help, and in the middle of the way, as they get closer, he realizes a somewhat dark truth.

Kaito's father never died.

Maybe it's because of the way Kaito talked, so melancholic, so happy, with so much adoration, that something inside him twists every time he's mentioned.

And of course, he can't help but yell at him the first time he sees him. Kaito has to hold him down so he doesn't punch him in the face.

"Shinichi, stop, you're going to hurt yourself!"

"Okay, okay, I'll calm down…"

Once Kaito lets go, Shinichi lunges at Toichi again.

"No, Shinichi…!"

Lmao, I'm amused to think of Shinichi being angrier than Kaito himself for that. And god, sorry for all the text, I just started typing it.
