It was interesting to observe the friendship shown by the Emperor Alexander to Prince Eugene Beauharnais, of which he had lately given him so many proofs at the time of his mother's death. It was rare to see the emperor without the prince. Every day he went regularly at twelve o'clock to the prince's lodgings in the Wieden Kaisergarten, and together, after walking twice around the ramparts, they generally went to see some of the many sights Vienna afforded at that time, ending their day on the Prater. The amiable qualities of Prince Eugene- might make it unneces- sary to look for any other reason for this friendship. The noble nature he had always evinced was a sure guarantee of his future conduct. But to a lofty mind like that of Alexander the misfortunes that had come upon his friend were the real magnet that drew them together.Alexander's noble and handsome face would have been almost awe- inspiring, had it not been for an expression of sweetness that tempered its dignity ; the good-humoured attention with which he hstened to all that was said to him captivated every one. Those who had the honour of his intimacy adored him, and the simplicity of his manners, combined with his easy politeness and gallantry, won all hearts in Vienna - Prince de Ligne.

Tokio Tag 5
20. Juli

There are many places to visit in Vienna, the fashion and culture capital of Europe. Fascinating with its many historical museums, works of art, churches and many more, Vienna has become one of the tourism centers where many tourists flock every year. Among the places to visit in the city is Burggarten, which is one of the unique resting places of sunny days. When this area was first established, it was called the Kaisergarten, that is, the Emperor's Garden. Burggarten This area, which is also used for a shortcut to the famous Albertina Museum, was opened to the public in 1919. Also, after the transition from monarchy to republic in 1919, many streets and similar areas were renamed to remove the Imperial link. Thus the Kaisergarten (Emperor's Garden) became simply Burggarten. Burggarten is an area of 38 thousand square meters. This park area, where many people come to relax every day with its lush green grass, also includes important places such as Neue Burg Palace, Ring Boulevard, Palm House and Butterfly House. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push(); The design of the park was inspired by the English garden style. The park was enlarged in 1863, but was later scaled back slightly to make room for the Neue Burg Palace. One of the most striking works in the park, which was expanded in 1863, is the Mozart Statue. Mozart, one of the most memorable artists in history, is honored with an immortal work in this park. The statue was placed where it stands today in 1953. Wars and other reasons were effective in the fact that the date of installation of the work, which was built in 1896, was so late. Visiting Information: Burggarten, which impresses with its unique works while providing relaxing hours on the green lawns in the city of Vienna, is open to visitors every day between 06:00-22:00. Address: Josefsplatz 1, 1010 Vienna Directions: You can get off at the Herrengasse stop on the U3 line or at the Museumsquartier stop on the U2 line. If you prefer the tram, trams 1, 2, D or 72 will do the trick. For the bus, you should take the bus number 2A. Nearby Places: Wiener Staatsoper, Albertina, Neue Burg, Heldenplatz, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Hofburg Imperial Palace, Michaelplatz, Historic Center of Vienna, St. Anna's Church, Graben and Kohlmarkt, St. Peter's Church, Minoritenkirche, Freyung Passage.
