Miraculous Fandom Stats
Ao3 Wrap Up 2023
I don’t know if anyone has done this, I hope I don’t step on anyone’s toes. Here a wrap up for 2023 for Miraculous Ladybug!
This study only assesses the fanfics posted by the last update, so if there was an older fic that was from 2021 that was updated in 2023, this would be captured by this study.
📈 The data presented here is a snapshot of the Fandom on: 05 Jan 2024
🖤 Works posted to Ao3 in 2023
In 2023 there were 10,515 fanfics posted (including crossovers and all languages). The median word count per fanfic was 2,268 words. In general, each fic received 5 comments, 561 hits and 36 kudos (median).
A majority of fanfics were not crossovers (Fig 1). The peak of Ao3 posts for Miraculous Ladybug was in 2021 with a total of 11,350 fanfics. Fanfics with crossovers have had a steady rise in popularity from 2018 with a peak of 2,609 in 2021.
Fig 1. A total number of fanfics posted to Ao3 in 2023 for the Miraculous Ladybug fandom without crossovers (blue line) and with crossovers (dotted line).
Note that this analysis will excludes crossovers (a separate analysis to come!).

Gabriel / Nathalie (286 fics)
Adrien / Luka (269 fics)
Felix / Kagami (183 fics)
Adrien / Kagami (159 fics)
Kagami / Marinette (158 fics)
There was a large shift in a number of pairings, in particular there was a dramatic increase in the number of fics tagged with Felix Fathom / Kagami Tsurugi (see below the cut for Season 5 spoilers). Other notable mentions are also Marinette Dupain-Cheng / Zoe Lee with a 2.5 fold increase in fanfics posted in 2023 (63 in total) compared to 2022 (26 in total).
🖤 Conclusions
It’s been a big year, and one that is controversial in many ways. I was just curious to see if there’s a decrease in activity since the season 5 finale, but it looks like the fanfiction writing is going strong. But are fans tuning out? Or are we trying to create more fix-it fics? (I will delve into that in a different post, since this was quite labour intensive).
There have been some interesting changes in relationship tags as well as tags for Sentimonsters (below the cut).
Methodology, References and Season 5 Spoilers below the cut:
Warning: Season 5 spoilers below:
🖤 2023 was also the year Feligami became official
This has lead to a dramatic increase in fanfics for the power couple.
Fig 5. The total number of fanfics posted on Ao3 for Felix / Kagami, represented per month saw a dramatic increase since the release of Season 5 in 2023 (blue). In contrast, I have plotted the total number of fanfics per month 2022 (red).
💔 2023 was also when the sentimonster theory was confirmed
Fig 6. Fanfiction that have used tags for Sentimonsters since 2018. Note that this is not a cumulative plot and that the numbers are individual works from each year tagged for Sentimonster.
In 2023, there were 192 works that tagged for Sentimonster Adrien, and 95 for Sentimonster Felix and 34 for Sentimonster Kagami. Recent usage for the tag 'Adrien is not a Sentimonster' was also observed (21 cases).
Please don’t be mad at me. I’m just a stats hamster.
Methodology
Filtering
The analyses start from Sep 05, 2012 when the first promotional video (PV) for Miraculous Ladybug was publicly leaked [1].
Since the website is very active, the information may change as this data is best considered to be a snapshot of the fanfics posted at this point in time. Also note that the filter is also for last update, and not first posted, so that older fics may be captured in later datasets. But for the purposes of this study, I am assuming that if the author is updating, then they are still active in the fandom.
To get an idea on what was posted to Ao3 this year, I have filtered for last published date 01 Jan 2023 - 31 Dec 2023. Note that while there was only an option for selecting by Last Post Date, which meant that works originally posted earlier (pre-2023) would still be captured if it was updated within the bounds of these dates.
Furthermore, it is also possible to backdate works on Ao3 which may also give false results. However, it may be likely that if this did happen it would only be a small percentage of fanworks. As such the data is an approximation of fandom activity during 2023.
Relationship Tags
I have followed the Ao3 rules so that / are taken to mean romantic relations and & for platonic relationships. In this analysis, I have combined the numbers for Felix (PV), Felix Graham de Vanily and Felix Fathom.

I guess I have to make up for AO3’s crash by dipping into my google docs and uploading every chapter of The Heroes’ Game on here for you guys. Once I run out of reruns of The Heroes’ Game, I’ll just have to start cranking out new chapters/fics/one shots.
Sigh. Look what I do for my your boredom.
—*—*—*—*—*
Chapter 1
Soulmates. That gooey, gushy, over-sentimentalized, overly relied-upon concept that was unfortunately (or fortunately, for romantics) very real. But unlike stories or movies, it was not uniform. There was not one universal soulmark or set type of soul bond. There were romantic soulmates, platonic soulmates, even familial soulmates (a subdivision of the above platonic, more specific yet stronger due to the distinction). But not only were the types of soul bonds broken into three separate categories, but the variety of types of soulmarks that a pair (or triad, in some rare cases) could end up with was still being discovered. Already, there were almost a hundred different catalogued forms that a soul bond could come in. All of them studied and confirmed by both science and magic as being valid. Even the timing that a soul bond chose to reveal itself could vary individual to individual.
Which led to the current dilemma.
A certain half-Asian girl with her blue-black hair up in pigtails was forced to watch as a blond boy and Japanese girl gaped at one another. As everyone present watched, bright spiraling designs that seemed to be made of light itself etched themselves on one arm of both teens, starting from where their hands gripped one another. The blond had tripped down the stairs, only for his hand to be caught by the smaller Asian girl and bright light to erupt from their palms.
The half-Asian, half-French girl at the bottom of the stairs could only observe in mute dismay as a swirling foil of pulsing maroon light sank itself into the right arm of Adrian Agreste, bright neon green markings adding detail to the stylized weapon. A matching symbol, orientation flipped and colors inverted, etched itself in glowing light on the right arm of Kagami Tsurugi.
They were soulmates.
The only person in Marinette’s class other than herself without a visible soul mark or completed bond (until now), the only person Marinette had believed herself capable of being with, had a soul mate. And by the way they stared into each other’s eyes even as Adrien continued to dangle perilously over the concrete steps, it wasn’t platonic.
Marinette felt cold, as if someone had stuffed a funnel down her throat just to dump ice directly into her stomach.
When Chat Noir immediately stopped hitting on Ladybug only to apologize in private and reveal he had met his soulmate, Marinette connected the dots. The magic of the Miraculous helped protect the identities of the wielders, but could not hold up against significant hard proof. That, and Marinette was getting more and more immune to the lesser Miraculous magic as she trained to become the next Guardian.
On the rooftops, Chat was still her partner. Despite showing up less often during Akuma attacks or nightly patrols due to having dates, he was still reliable whenever he showed up. But as Adrien Agreste, he and Marinette had never been further apart.
—*—*—*—*—*
“Still sulking?” The all-too-familiar voice of Chloe Bourgeois cut through Marinette’s intrusive thoughts, the usually haughty tone surprisingly gentle. After quite a bit of time, introspection, and character development, Chloe had become a good friend of Marinette’s. Still incredibly hard to tolerate at times, but dependable.
The black haired girl just groaned, dropping her face into her hands. “He was my first real crush, Chloe,” the girl complained, clearly still hurt. “I loved him. Or I thought I did, anyway. You can’t expect me to heal from it all that quickly.”
“Of course not,” The blond heiress agreed easily, shrugging even as she put a forkful of food in her mouth. Maybe trying to have girl talk with Marinette on the fourth floor of a five-star hotel wasn’t the best idea, her short friend being incredibly uncomfortable in the atmosphere despite her personally made clothing being more than acceptable for the environment. “But it’s been two months, Mari. It’s time to straighten your spine, and get out there looking again! You don’t need Adrien, just like you don’t need Alya or sausage-hair or any of the idiots that flock with them in our class,” the girl reasoned. “Adri-kins is sweet, but he has the entirely wrong approach to Lila, you know. Convincing you to stay quiet was the worst advice he could have given. Staying quiet would never have allowed me to change or see that what I was doing was wrong,” Chloe pointed out. “Why would it work for her?”
“Adrien is just being careful,” Marinette defended weakly, pushing her salad around her plate disinterestedly. Knowing he was Chat just made her sympathize with his motives even more. He didn’t know Ladybug was in his class to back him up instantly, after all. But still, Marinette knew Chloe was right. Adrien might have good intentions, but his execution of them left a lot to be desired. “He doesn’t want another Akuma.”
“We get Akumas every week, he should just suck it up. We get even more Akumas from her lies than we would if everyone knew what she was doing,” the blond girl continued easily, not giving in to her friend’s weak excuses. “Besides, telling you to be quiet just puts you at the most risk of Akumatization. He should know that. It’s a miracle it hasn’t happened to you yet,” Chloe’s perfect babydoll-pink lips thinned as she stabbed a piece of chicken on her plate. “Lucky for all of us, not that he knows that.”
Marinette just sighed in agreement. “Can we just, you know, stop talking about this?” The meeker of the two asked gently, finally managing a mouthful of greens. “This is supposed to be our girl time. Ever since you transferred schools, we’ve had less and less time to just hang out.”
Chloe frowned, but gave in with a nod. “Sure, sure. Oh! Daddy told me about how you won that Wayne Enterprises competition for your class!” Chloé suddenly perked up, leaning over the table in newfound enthusiasm, her suddenly exclamation making the rich crowd around them side-eye the two teenage girls. Marinette flailed her arms in an attempt to get her friend to calm down and be quiet, an attempt that she should have known would be futile. All Chloe did was lean slightly back towards her own chair. “Well?! Are you excited to be going to Gotham?”
“Of course I am,” Marinette finally stopped trying to calm down her excitable friend. “Being able to travel to America, study the fashion of Gotham City, be inspired by the foreign landscape—“ Marinette sighed dreamily, not unlike the way she used to sigh over Adrien. Her hands even cradled her cheeks as she lost herself momentarily to her daydreams. Her hands dropped as the illusion was ruined by the memory that— “The whole class is going though, so it’s going to be an uphill battle to avoid Liar Rossi spoiling the whole trip.”
“Nope, you said you didn’t want to talk about her. This conversation will be sausage-hair free until dinner is over, at the least,” Chloe chided lightly. “I heard Bruce Wayne himself is inviting your class to a charity gala at the end of the trip, and that you will be presenting a speech as an honored guest and owner of the winning submission!” Chloé gasped suddenly, dropping her fork onto her plate with a cacophonous clatter. “Oh. Em. Gee. You’re designing your own dress, aren’t you? Who am I kidding, of course you are!” Chloé squealed in delight. “MDC, strutting her skills overseas, it’s glorious!”
“Shh, Chloe!” Marinette went right back to flailing her arms uselessly. “There’s a reason I haven’t publicly come out as MDC yet! Someone will hear you!” The short blue-eyed girl was looking around the room frantically. The waiters wouldn’t dare kick out the mayor’s daughter, but other patrons were already leaving early or requesting a different floor in order to escape the infamous Chloe Bourgeois Chaos. On the bright side, none of them seemed to be paying any attention to what the young rich girl had actually said.
“Oooh,” Chloe leaned over the table again with a wide, mischievous grin. “What if you finally meet your soulmate?” Her smile widened impossibly. “Of course you’d have an American soulmate. Someone blunt, maybe, to combat your constant worrying. He’d have to always tell you upfront exactly how he feels or else you’d constantly be worried about misinterpreting them,” the girl mused, completely ignoring Marinette’s groaning and moaning about how embarrassing she was being. “And everyone knows that nobody does Blunt quite as well as Americans. Ooh, I wonder what your mark is gonna be!”
“Hopefully something invisible,” Marinette finally spoke up, her remark a mere grumble as her nose scrunched up. “It would kind of ruin the whole secret identity thing if it was noticeable, right? Do soul bonds even care about secret identities? Oh no,” Marinette blanched, spiraling in true Marinette Dupain-Cheng fashion. “What if it’s on my face? The magic can’t hide something that identifiable! Everyone will know who I am, and then Hawk Moth will attack my family and isolate me and attack me out of costume or akumatize me, and then he’ll make his wish, and then world war three will actually happen, and—“ The ramble was thankfully stopped by perfectly manicured hands slapping over Marinette’s mouth, one blond eyebrow raised at her as Chloe kept the word vomit from continuing stubbornly.
“No. Stop catastrophizing, the worst-case scenario doesn’t always happen, girl. La—“ Chloe glances around the suddenly half-empty room and lowered her voice. “You know who is such a deep part of you that there’s no way your soul bond will ignore that. I seriously doubt it will cause your identity to come out.”
Marinette’s shoulders slumped in relief. She waited until Chloe removed her hands and sat back down before saying softly; “I just wish you could come with me. Then it would be bearable.”
Chloé gave one of her oh-so-rare soft smiles to the smaller girl, nodding. “I know. I wish I could go too, but I can’t miss a whole month of school. But you’ll have Alix with you, which is better than nothing. And besides, everyone in Paris knows I’m Queen Bee,” Chloe flipped her hair haughtily, making Marinette grin. “I wouldn’t want to intimidate Gotham’s heroes.”
“In other words,” Marinette started slyly, a teasing grin overtaking her lips as she avoided Chloe’s gaze playfully. “You don’t want to risk attracting the attention of Gotham’s rogues because you couldn’t handle them, right?”
Chloe spluttered in denial, tossing her napkin at Marinette in false anger. “How dare you! The Queen Bee can handle any villain!” Chloe became serious again. “Be careful while you’re over there, yeah? Me, Ryuuko, and Viperion can keep Paris safe while you’re gone but you will only have Alix.”
And Chat, Marinette thought to herself, but Chloe doesn’t need to know that.
“It’s better if Ladybug doesn’t appear in Gotham at all,” Marinette agreed, “So I’ll be as careful as possible. The less evidence anyone has to connect me and Ladybug, the better.”
Chloe nodded. “Of course. Now, did you see Clara’s last music video?” The blond heiress/superhero was turned into a common teenager again as she squealed in delight. “It. Was. Fabulous. And the dress you made her for it? I want one.”
—*—*—*—*—*
Of course this would happen. Marinette stood in the lobby of the hotel where her and her class were staying while in Gotham, with no classmates or teachers in sight and the bus she was supposed to board already gone. At least I’m fluent in English, or else I’d be screwed, she thought to herself. Resigned to the fact that she wouldn’t be able to catch up to the bus, Marinette instead went over to the hotel information desk and asked for directions to the Gotham Museum of History, where her class had left to visit.
At least she had money for a cab.
A cab that apparently decided to kick her out two blocks from her destination in favor of picking up a couple that were positively dripping in expensive jewelry. Marinette dusted herself off, adjusting her purse on her shoulder with a frown. She couldn’t blame him for looking after his own finances, but he didn’t have to chase after tips that blatantly. The girl didn’t even bother arguing with the man, simply handing over the cash she owed him before turning in what she thought was the right direction, if she was reading the map on her phone correctly. It was already dark out, not surprising considering how their plane had arrived in the afternoon and they only got a few hours to rest before visiting the museum as their first activity of the trip.
Quickly memorizing what she thought was the right route, Marinette tucked her phone back into her purse and smiled at Tikki, who hid inside it. “Alright,” Marinette whispered to her Kwami. “I hope I haven’t missed too much!”
Quickly closing her bag, the girl started off towards her destination.
And promptly got lost.
“I thought I saw it this way…” she groaned to herself when she realized she didn’t recognize anything around her, and it had only gotten darker in the past half hour she had been walking. At least being Ladybug keeps me in shape.
Marinette straightened her shoulders, resigning herself to retracing her steps for the twentieth time. She turned on her heel, walking forward as her bright blue eyes scanned her surroundings for anything that might lead her to the museum.
Until she realized the street was oddly empty, and a soft crunch of glass sounded from behind her. Marinette had prepared for this, at least. I’m being followed. Careful to remain calm and keep on walking as if nothing was wrong, Marinette strained her ears and eyes. She managed to catch a glimpse of her tail in a window— tall, broad shouldered, biceps like hams. The girl frowned. She could easily outmaneuver someone twice her size, but it would draw a lot of attention.
Firmly in Ladybug Mode, Marinette slowed down just enough to let the guy come a bit closer, before she veered sharply into an alley. Risky? Yeah, but it would be much less likely to make a spectacle of herself when she handed the guy his ass.
Sure enough, it didn’t take long for the guy to attempt to grab her. As soon as she felt his hand reaching for her though, Marinette easily clamped onto his wrist and used her momentum to hurl the assailant over her shoulder. The large body hit the gravel roughly on his back, letting out a moan that was half pain and half anger. Marinette backed up just enough to stay out of the man’s immediate range, her eyes continuing to dart around.
He hadn’t been alone.
His boots are good quality, so are his cargo pants. No gun, but several knives on his belt. Professional, not out to kill. Capture? As soon as Marinette saw two other guys dressed identically to the man now pulling himself back up to a standing position come out to surround her in the alley, she put it all together. Each newcomer had a tranq gun trained on her. Traffickers.
Ever the improviser, Marinette quickly rolled out of the way of the first few darts shot at her and grabbed a misshapen hunk of wood from the ground to block the next two projectiles like a warped shield. Lunging to her feet, she whipped the chunk of wood at one man with deadly precision, the plank hitting him square across the forehead hard and fast enough to knock him out.
One down. The guy she had initially thrown over her shoulder took advantage of her distraction to wrap his large arms around her, trapping her own against her torso. Not one to be trapped for long, Marinette jumped up and flipped herself upside down so that her legs wrapped around the guy’s neck, and twisted so that her body weight unbalanced him. Combined with his sudden lack of oxygen and field of view, the guy stumbled just enough for Marinette to get one arm free and slam her elbow into his most sensitive area. The guy released her with a howl, and Marinette twisted into a three-point landing. She paused only long enough to slam the side of her arm into a pressure point on howling man’s neck that knocked him out before springing up to face the—
Marinette paused. The last attacker was already tied up, a much different muscular form holding the cursing man a few inches above the ground.
Batman.
“You know, you shouldn’t walk around Gotham at night,” a casual voice sounded from behind her, making Marinette swing around to face Nightwing. The blue vigilante was leaned against the wall, with the first guy Marinette had knocked out already tied up at his feet. “But that was pretty good fighting. You made a few unnecessary moves, but overall not half bad.”
A third figure dropped down from a nearby roof, making Marinette whip her head to the side for a third time. Ugh, I’ll get whiplash at this rate. How are they able to move so noiselessly? The last figure was Robin, who made short work of tying up the last guy before standing and staring straight at Marinette. He crossed his arms, and the French girl suddenly had the feeling she was about to be scolded.
“What were you thinking, leading them into an alley? Are you an idiot?” Were the first words Robin said, instantly making Marinette puff her cheeks out in indignation. How dare he?!
“Robin,” Batman interrupted whatever retort Marinette had been about to make. “Ducking into the alley made it less likely that anyone else would be caught in the fight. It was not necessarily bad a move. That being said,” the most experienced hero in the alley turned to the girl in pigtails. Marinette gulped. It was really intimidating, having Batman’s state focused solely on her. She forced herself to stand as straight as possible. “It was still incredibly reckless. You had no idea how many people were following you, or what their skill level was. I highly suggest you act with much more caution next time. Or better yet, don’t travel Gotham alone even during the day.”
“I’ll be careful,” Marinette agreed, the three heroes instantly picking up on her French accent. “This wasn’t exactly my choice. First, my class left the hotel without me even though I’m the one who applied for the contest that even allowed us to come here in the first place. Then, my cab driver kicks me out a few blocks from where I asked him to take me, and then I got lost. Merde!” Marinette threw her hands up. “It’s not my fault I have bad luck. And you,” she turned and pointed to Robin, about to give him her two cents about his critique of her. That is, until when fingertip actually made contact with his chest and both teens visibly jumped.
It was like static the moment they made contact, but nothing visual happened. Marinette was about to shrug it off as nothing when—
Her vision split in half, like a TV screen when someone was playing a two-player game. Suddenly she could see her normal perspective, with Batman to her left, Nightwing to her right, and her finger straight ahead pushing into Robin’s chest, but she could also see a second perspective.
A perspective where she stared straight at herself.
She watched as her own blue eyes widened in disbelief. She watched as she stumbled back a few shocked steps, and as Robin did the same in front of her.
“Mon dieu,” Marinette cursed breathily, unable to move her eyes from Robin or acknowledge the frantic questions being posed to both of them from Batman and Nightwing. The teens just stared at one another. “Of course my soulmate would be a vigilante.”
“Shit,” Marinette had no idea which of the three heroes said that, but they all seemed to share the sentiment. Shit, indeed.
Nightwing shifted and said; “At least all the traffickers are knocked out.”

Like every other fandom I’m in, I thought it would be fun to randomize Miraculous Ladybug and have fun with the characters. Imagine my surprise when LILA ROSSI was generated for the Ladybug Miraculous with Alya as her Chat. I actually drew these guys last year, and decided to redesign them only recently- Lila’s costume takes a lot of inspiration from Venice Carnival fashion, while Alya’s takes inspiration from Majestia as well as loose inspiration from Martinique headscarves.
The story I came up with is that Fu lost all the Miraculi except the Black Cat and Turtle. Tikki tried to find help, but she was captured by a well meaning young woman. Tikki sealed herself in her Miraculous in her panic, and the woman used them to become a hero and protect her community. She passed it on to her daughter, who passed it to hers, and so on until eventually Lila Rossi received it.
Meanwhile, Gabriel and Emile Agreste found the rest of the Miraculi and decided to use and study them, unaware that the Peacock was broken. Emile slipped into a coma and Gabriel was so heartbroken that he admitted her to a hospital and gave up the Miraculi and his research to his business partner, Tomoe Tsurugi, in the hopes that she would manage to locate the Black Cat and Ladybug Miraculi. She gave the Butterfly to her daughter, Kagami, and instructed her on how to use it. Kagami, eager to please her mother, bent to pressure.
Lila, as the new hero Signora Scarlet, fought against the ensuing Akuma. She enjoyed the attention she received, and although her mother wanted her to remain in the shadows she began to show herself more and more. Alya, meanwhile, was scouted by Fu when she helped a crowd of civilians escape from the Akuma with her quick thinking, and was given the Black Cat Miraculous so long as she used it to retrieve Signora Scarlet’s Miraculous and find out where she’s stored the others (because he believed she had stolen the rest, excluding the Butterfly)
Realizing she couldn’t keep her fanbase and her mother’s pride, Lila changed her superhero identity to Chanceuse Rouge and claimed that the new hero had stolen her Miraculous. Alya knows that the two hero’s are the same person, but not that they are both Lila, a new student and her friend.
The two heroes will work together to defeat Akumas and then immediately go back to fighting each other because this is Miraculous and I can’t remove ALL the poor communication. That being said they go through an enemy to friends arch and eventually discover each other’s identities. Also Lila goes through an arc where she learns people can and will like her if she stops lying.
I randomized every Miraculous Holder and every Akuma so I’m hoping I can keep posting these redesigns as 2023 goes on!
Edit: Part 2 with Kagami and Luka as the main villains/holders of the Butterfly and Peacock are here!

Main series universe information
This article is about Adrien Agreste from the TV series and any information in it exclusively follows the main series' continuity.
For information from the Movie continuity, please visit this page.
This article is about the secondary protagonist, who is the current Cat Miraculous holder. You may be looking for the Ladybug PV version of Cat Noir, his cousin, another Cat, or his parallel self.
There's no way I can wear this!... Everyone's gonna realize that I'm the real Cat Noir!ADRIEN
Adrien Agreste is one of the two titular main protagonists (alongside Marinette Dupain-Cheng) of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir and a major character of Miraculous World. He is a human-sentimonster created by his late mother Emilie Agreste from her emotions of love. He is a former student in Miss Bustier's class at Collège Françoise Dupont in Paris, France. He is also a former fashion model for his late father's brand.
With the Cat Miraculous, when inhabited by Plagg, Adrien transforms into the black cat-themed superhero Cat Noir ("Chat Noir" in the French version), gaining the power of destruction to stop Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth/Monarch and his akumatized villains. He is the second-in-command of the French Miraculous superhero team.
In "Syren", after Master Wang Fu translates the Grimoire in order to find a way to give Ladybug and Cat Noir the ability to transform into different powered up forms, he is able to make the potion that grants the aqua form. Adrien is able to use it to become Aqua Noir, which gives him a specially modified aqua suit with fins on his feet, granting him the enhanced swimming capabilities, as well as allowing him to breathe and speak underwater.
In "Frozer" when the titular akumatized supervillain freezes over Paris to turn the city into his domain, Adrien uses Master Fu's Magic camembert to transform into Ice Cat, which gives him a specially modified ice suit with skates on his feet, granting him enhanced skating capabilities as well as allowing him to stand subzero temperatures.
In "Reflekdoll", Adrien temporarily obtained the Ladybug Miraculous, which, when inhabited by Tikki, would be able to transform him into a ladybug-themed superhero Mister Bug,[64] gaining the power of creation.[65]
In "Desperada", Adrien temporarily obtained the Snake Miraculous, which, when inhabited by Sass, would be able to transform him into a snake-themed superhero Aspik[66], gaining the ability to go back in time for a Second Chance. Later, he returned the Miraculous after failing for the 25,913th time to save Ladybug from a particular villain.[65]
In "Cat Blanc", in an alternative future, Cat Noir, conflicted between his loyalty towards his father and the girl he loved, was akumatized by Hawk Moth into Cat Blanc, a white cat-themed supervillain with the power of infinite destruction. Later, due to Ladybug fixing her mistake, the alternative future was erased, including Cat Noir's akumatization.
In "Miracle Queen," after removing the Snake Miraculous from a brainwashed Viperion, Adrien unified the Snake Miraculous with the Cat Miraculous to become Snake Noir[65] ("Serpent Noir" in the French version).
In "Miraculous World: New York - United Heroez", after Mr. Ramier had been reakumatized into Mr. Pigeon for the 51st time, Cat Noir became Astro Cat to stop Mr. Pigeon from taking over the moon for him and his pigeons. Astrocat has the power to travel long distances swiftly via flight, including in space.
In "Ephemeral", after finding out the truth about his parents, Adrien, affected by an akuma, gave the Cat Miraculous to Shadow Moth/Shadow Noir and was akumatized into Ephemeral, a supervillain who made time faster or sped up the time it took for a Miraculous holder to detransform. Later, after Sass used Second Chance, Ephemeral was erased from the reality.
In "Kuro Neko", after giving up on being Cat Noir due to feeling unappreciated by Ladybug, Adrien was convinced by Plagg to create a brand new identity as a holder of the Cat Miraculous, becoming Cat Walker ("Patte De Velours" in the French version), even donning a brand new suit. He later returned to his original hero persona.
In "Evolution", after future Bunnyx was paralyzed during a fight against Monarch, Cat Noir took her Rabbit Miraculous and combined it with the Cat Miraculous to become Rabbit Noir so he and Ladybug could keep on fighting the supervillain and prevent him from changing the past or discovering their true identities.
In "Miraculous Paris", he was kamikotized by Betterfly into Celesticat, an angelic-cat-themed superhero to help Ladybug and Betterfly escape from Shadybug and Claw Noir.
In "Passion", to avoid Safari's venom bolts, Adrien temporarily used the Ladybug Miraculous and once again becomes Mister Bug.
In "Revolution", after seeing all the Parisians willingly stand up and fight injustice with their own hands and refuse to turn their backs on Ladybug and Cat Noir, Adrien evolves his powers, and now, he doesn't detransform after using his powers, and is able to cast as many Cataclysms as he pleases without the need to recharge. Then, he was sent to London by his father, and yet, shared a kiss with Marinette before leaving.
In "Representation", after being sent to London, Adrien returns to Paris as Astrocat hoping to find Marinette so he could tell her his identity and stay together but after being struck with Nightormentor's dust and the fear of putting her in danger, he backs off the idea and returns to London.
In "Conformation", when Monarch commenced his global plan against the French Duo, due to him knowing he wasn't in the right state of mind to wield the power of Destruction safely and the fears of his nightmares, Adrien sent Plagg back to Paris with the ring to help Ladybug.
In "Re-creation", after Monarch's defeat and wish, Adrien reclaims his Miraculous and rejoins Ladybug and their whole team in Paris.
I AIN'T READING ALL THAT!!!!!!!!

Greetings, denizens of Tumblr, men, women, and potplants!
I randomly decided this blog needed an introductory post, so here we are.
Any of my writing/art can be found at the #my writing and #my art tags respectively. My current WIP, The Golden City, can be found at #the golden city or #tgc if I'm lazy. I have any number of background projects, which can all be found at #backburner wips.
Random details about me include; I'm a writer/artist in training, self-taught for both, and a professional bullshitter. I also like cats better than dogs, drink a lot of hot cocoa and coffee, and recently discovered I might be intolerant to milk, which I am VERY salty over. I'm also a professional procrastinator, and am actually procrastinating from something by writing this very post.
I come in several different flavours of neurodivergent!
I am also a coloured pencil. No, I will not elaborate.
You can call me any variation of my blog name, R, or Rose, whichever you like. (if you somehow know me IRL and thus know my actual name; no you do not)
I'm chill with basically anyone (whatever your opinions are on anything) as long as you can be respectful about them. While I do have opinions on all controversial topics (being as I am a Human Bean and thus biased) I prefer to stay firmly neutral and out of any Important Debates/politics.
Oh, and I adore tag/ask games, feel free to drop in with anything at any time, but I am erratically efficient with answering so it maay take a while. Sorry.
Anyway! Other me/WIP-related stuff under the cut because this's a 'lil long :D
Media I like includes; Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (I'm planning to watch the 03 one at some point but haven't gotten around to it) Avatar; The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, the Reckoners series, Redwall, The Queen's Thief series, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl comics, the Agents of SHIELD tv show, and pretty much all of the older Barbie movies. (most specifically Princess and the Pauper) I'm also pretty involved in the Miraculous Ladybug fandom, somehow, despite not having watched most of it.
Favorite characters of mine include; Edward Elric, Roy Mustang, Azula, Kuvira, Sokka, Zuko, Fitz, Adrien Agreste, Félix Graham De Vanily, Kagami Tsurugi, Varrick, Zhu Li, Eugenides/Gen, Basil Stag Hare, Gonff, Ling Yao, Preminger, and Azul.
I'm not much of a shipper, but I do have a soft spot for Royai, the Love Square and Feligami from Miraculous Ladybug, and whatever Zhu Li/Varrick is called.
Anyway, here's the plot as of yet of my main WIP in newspaper-headline style because I saw someone else do it and I liked the idea.
Local Thief Gets Arrested And Then Takes Advantage of Loophole; Winds Up Going On Treasure Hunt. (Chaos Ensues)
Here's a runup of the main characters;
Felix Rose- professional bullshitter/actor/ridiculously good at being charming. Very cocky, actually has enough skills to (occasionally) warrant it. Owns four cats. Does not want to go to jail, thank you. Noble who part-times as a thief, as one does.
Shannon Rose- professional Felix's Twin Brother. At first glance seems significantly less mischevious than Felix, but we must remind you that Felix is significantly more anything than anyone. Studying to be a scholar. Would also prefer it if Felix did not got to jail, would like to prevent that.
Valentin Fleet- professional Cinnamon Roll. Wants to do the Right Thing, unsure what that actually means. Is capital-C Conflicted. Somehow managed to go from the resident Tough Person to the resident Cinnamon Roll over the story's creation. The reason Felix is in jail, would prefer it if he stayed there, please.
I also have a website, (carolinaauthor.wordpress.com) where I'll be posting my WIP when it gets to production stage, and an Etsy store (it's called CoffeeCatDesigns, I'll find a link later sorry) where you can buy stuff from me. Oh, and I started writing fanfic recently! I'm The Rose Empress on ao3 if you're interested!
If you want to ask me questions about any of my WIPs or tag me in stuff I will be more than happy to answer :D
Mmmmmmmmkay that's it thank you for reading, I'm gonna go do that thing I was procrastinating from now.

Co-parenting with Batman
read it on AO3 at https://ift.tt/hJrPbwc by TigerFox1923 (First chapter can be read like a one-shot) Following Hawkmoth’s defeat, Marinette and Adrien’s lives were picture perfect. It was boring, really. So what better way to shake things up than to move to Gotham! Marinette was thinking of studying there anyway (not that she needed to really). They never planned to take the spotlight, especially when it’s Batman’s territory, but a few kids shake things up in a way they never expected. Mirror
(AO3 Link)
Mirror. A reflective surface, often framed and decorated, in which your own appearance may be seen.
The first time Kagami snuck out was in the middle of July. She was supposed to be studying next year’s coursework, and she had gotten as far as cracking open the brand-new pre-calc textbook before she was suddenly standing, full of energy and not sure what to do with it. She fiddled with the choker Ladybug had finally entrusted her with that winter, and before she even made the decision to, she found herself on the roof, wrapped in an armor of spandex and magic. That first night was full of a dread that made her movements sloppy, her jumps often stumbled and her heart over-fast. Her mother had trusted her to study, to stay in her room and do as she was told. Slipping back through her bedroom window to find her treachery undiscovered filled her with a heady rush. A secret. She had a secret.
From then it became a habit. About once a week, often more, when she was supposed to be studying, she climbed out her window and took to the rooftops. She hadn’t realized how little of Paris she had seen until then. She visited kitschy sandwich shops and outdoor farmer’s markets. One particularly tepid August day, the week before school started, she stumbled upon a dance battle outside a small hip hop studio (she didn’t win, not by a long shot, but something about the feeling of being a part of a crowd, of a moment, thrilled her). After years of magical ladybugs and rampaging akumas and mayor’s daughters becoming superheroes, it was practically mundane to have a girl dressed in a dragon-y onesie visit your grocery store. She’d been complimented on her “cosplay” at least three times. She didn’t tell the other superheroes. She didn’t quite know why. It wasn’t against the rules or anything. Rena Rouge regularly picked up pizza before team hangouts, and Chat Noir had been spotted frequenting a flower shop once or twice. It was nice, though. To have something that was just hers. That wasn’t for anybody else. That she did just because she wanted to.
The first time she got a B on a homework assignment was an equal-parts mixture of confusingly exhilarating and nerve wracking. At first she was sure she would burn it. Shred it or rip it up and hide it in a dumpster where no one could find it. But instead she smoothed it out from where her tight grip had crumpled the paper, and slipped it in her backpack. She taped it to the back of her locker, and every now and then she would look at it and smile. She didn’t have any friends at school to ask her why. Even if she had, she wasn’t sure what she would say. Something about the curved letter, splashed in bright red across the top right corner of her history paper, made her feel like she was tethered. One large, egregious stomp of a footprint where before she had tiptoed, barely indenting the sand.
She was friends with the girl who butchered fish at the deli. Kagami wasn’t sure it was a deli, to be clear. It sold sandwich meats and cheese, but also fresh fish and honey cakes when the owner’s elderly mother made a batch, and a collection of awful romance novels on a shelf in the back that the owner collected and nobody bought. But the sign out front said “Alberts’ Deli,” so, Kagami was friends with the girl who butchered fish at the deli. Or, more specifically, Ryuko was. But Ryuko was more Kagami than Kagami was Kagami, most days. The girl was blonde and overwhelmingly foul mooded. She was rarely spotted without pink bubblegum scrunched between her teeth, and she was pessimistic in a way that made Kagami feel positively bubbly in comparison. When Kagami ordered fish, the girl went out of her way to find interesting newspapers to wrap it in, a sort of inside joke between the two of them. Kagami had never properly had an inside joke with someone before. Kagami didn’t know what to do with the fish that she bought. The money wasn’t a problem, she had a weekly allowance and nowhere to spend it barring the few times a month she and Adrien got together, but she hated wasting the fish, and it wasn’t like she could just leave it in her refrigerator. Her mom still didn’t know she’d been sneaking out, and mystery fish wasn’t easy to brush off. So far she’d been leaving it on Marinette’s balcony, because she seemed like the type of person who knew what to do with spare fish. But this weekend her mother was out of town until Sunday afternoon, and Kagami had an idea. Kagami didn’t know how to cook. Maybe she should have spent more time contemplating that, but she pulled up a recipe and googled how to use the stove. She burned herself three times, twice on her pinkie finger and once across her palm, but she ended up with an arguably passable cooked fish. It was a little burnt and a little under seasoned, but she ate the whole thing, and hand washed her plates and the pan, returning them exactly where they had been. It felt like a victory.
“I’m gay,” she said to an old man as she helped him cross the street. He looked a little confused, due to her being a complete stranger, but shrugged and said, “Whatever floats your boat, Missy.” “I’m gay,” she said to the girl who worked at the deli. “Am I supposed to act surprised?” Adelaide returned in a bored voice, scrounging up a copy of the funnies that she’d saved at the bottom of the newspaper pile in the case that Kagami stopped by. Kagami smiled. “I’m gay,” Kagami tells Ladybug, on accident when the two of them are partnered up on patrol. She hadn’t meant to. She’d wanted to keep her life and Her Life separate. But it was out there now. “Oh,” Ladybug said, looking a little shocked. “Oh, okay.” “Is that okay?” Kagami asked, hesitating before her next jump and fumbling the landing. “Yes,” Ladybug said, and Kagami knew that she would say yes, she did know it, but something in her breathed a sigh of relief anyway, “Yes of course it’s okay.”
Kagami joined a hip hop class. Not Ryuko-Kagami. Kagami-Kagami. Kagami, face bare of any mask and hands exposed to the open air, asked her mother if she could sign up for a dance class at the studio where the dance battle had been. She didn’t tell her mother about the dance battle. Her mother had been confused, at first. But she’d agreed. Reluctantly, but she’d agreed. Kagami’s first class went poorly. It was November, so everyone else was leagues ahead of her, and she kept messing up the moves. Her arms felt jerky and awkward and her feet were never quite in the right place it seemed. She didn’t know if she’d ever been that happy in her life.
The B on her homework didn’t become a common recurrence. She kept the history paper taped to her locked, and it was joined by one pre-calc assignment and a lab write up, but overall she kept her grades up. She knew her place in the hip-hop class was more or less dependent on her school and fencing performance remaining unchanged. She’d made one friend though. “What’s that about?” George asked the first time they walked together to their lockers, hers and then his, in order of closeness to their final class, “You do know that you get the top grades in, like, the whole year, right? You don’t have to torture yourself with the few average grades you get. Anyone would be jealous to just have 3 Bs.” “No,” she said, “It’s not about that.” He seemed to want to ask what it was about, then, but she shrugged. They walked in silence to his locker, and she leaned against the wall as he stuffed back-breaking textbooks into his backpack. “My name means mirror,” she said finally, and he looked up, curious, “Sometimes it’s nice to… remind myself I’m not just the things people want to see in me. I guess.” “That’s… poetic,” George said, but not like he was mocking her. Kagami felt half her mouth lift in an awkward smile. “Thanks.”
She ends up not being very well suited to hip hop. Which isn’t to say that she quitted, just that she discovered her “worst in the class” phase wasn’t much of a phase at all. The gap became smaller, though. Penelope, a girl not much younger than Kagami, asked Kagami to help her with the footwork she forgot. The teacher corrected her less and less. She stopped feeling like a fish out of water and more like an average fish in a school of particularly exceptional fish… or something. They had a dance battle again. The studio puts them on once every three months, and participation isn’t mandatory but there’s no shortage of friendly peer-pressure. Kagami finds out that it’s scarier to dance in front of a crowd when you know them and they know you. When you’re not just a stranger in a mask. She didn’t anticipate how much sweeter the failure feels when, upon hopping off the makeshift outdoor stage, you’re surrounded by friends (and they are her friends, she has so many more friends than she could have ever imagined) whom holler and yell about how “AMAZING you were, Kagami, oh my god you killed it!” Penelope shyly asked if Kagami could show her how to do the jump Kagami had made up. It was a weird jump, kind of stumble-y and very awkward. Kagami shows her anyway. (She was still the worst in the class. She really didn’t mind.)
“You seem different,” Adrien said off-handedly one evening. The two of them were eating ice cream in the park, watching the newly sprung-up grass sway in the breeze. There was still some snow on the ground, leftover from the last big storm of winter. “I know,” Kagami said, “I feel different.” “You seem happier,” he added, getting chocolate all over his face. She smiled, and handed him a napkin, and stared up at the sky. “I spent so much time trying to be what other people wanted me to be,” she said, taking a contemplative lick of her strawberry ice cream, “And then I decided to figure out who I was when I wasn’t.” Adrien was quiet for a moment. “I’m not sure who I am all the time,” he confessed. Kagami giggled. “Me neither.”

So, to clarify... you hate Kagami's hair?
Its just immensely hard to draw
It's not just a bob cut there are random chunks that make it so ????? Like the shape of everything changes
It can be perfectly round when you look up at her then a square from a lower angle where the entire mass seemingly changes too like this hair could not exist in reality
I could simplify it to only having it be a round glob but it just dont feel right to me bc it really ain't that simple with those random chunks from her sides which are not symmetrical btw being a key part of her look to me and-
#ANYWAYS I STUDY THIS SHIT HARD#ml#mlb#miraculous ladybug#kagami tsurugi#ask#its an artist thing honest dont mind me#its just weird but fascinating#and i like drawing it even if im constantly adjusting it bit by bit to get it to look accurate to the og#hard work is what i am saying#i like to freehand draw any character from any angle but with kagami it aint possible she look too diff from every angle i NEED a ref#a challenge

The Rivals, Best to Least
Based around @loosescrewslefty post.
Duo, Trio
Wood (creativity, new beginnings, change, possibilities, adventure, exploration) and Mind (thought, imagination, curiosity, wonder, planner, exploring and learning), Tiger, Fox, and Rabbit.
Fire (willpower, passion, destruction, ambition, vigor, zeal) and Energy (momentum, life, force, vitality, eyes on the goal), Horse, Bee, and Snake.
Earth (neutral, in between, open minded, supporter, patient) and Body (physical, holds everything together, center, stable, grounded), Dragon, Goat, Turtle, Dog, and Ox.
Metal (rigid, pride, definition, order, live by their rules) and Soul (detachment, freedom, being true to yourself, self awareness, expression), Monkey, Peacock, Rooster.
Water (fluid, thoughtful, empathy, subtle, adaptable, change) and Heart (emotion, connection to others, supporter, provider, loving), Rat, Butterfly, Pig.
Kagami: Fire, Metal, Wood/Earth, Water
Kagami’s primary is Fire, she is driven, reactive, rushes in, fierce, aggressive, competitive, and dominant. She’s ready to meet any challenge that comes her way, fearless in the face of adversary, able to burn back any that comes her way. She fully lives and thrives in the moment, natural to be on the move. She is a more controlled Fire, not a flame to be careless with, but one you don’t have to fear will be massively destructive (like Chloe).
The controlled aspect stems from her secondary element, Metal. Metal is defined by a sense of structure, an order of how things work, control, and confidence. Metal gives the energy of Fire focus, a path forward and a way to use her energy to how she likes it. Metal also fuels a desire for rebellion, to live how she wants and do as she wishes. It adds to her pride in her self, defining who is fit for her and worthy of her time. Despite how much she matches with Metal, she struggles with the aspect of Soul, a struggle to show her true colors and be who she wants to be, a lack of freedom brought down by a sense of duty and obligation, particularly to her mother’s.
Wood and Earth are her third elemental matches. She matches both with an openness to change, especially if first assumptions are proven wrong, adding flexibility to her. For Wood/Mind, she is capable of planning while on the move, not just be pure aggression but calculated, and can be crafty when it suits her. As Earth/Body, she is a provider and supporter with who she cares for, coming to Adrien’s defense and open to following his lead.
Water is the last and least fit. Despite a want to make friends, Kagami lacks the connection and heart for it. Despite this want, her purpose and want come first, which often put others off with her intensity. There’s also a lack of patience and there are times she is closed off or reluctant to be in another’s presence. Once her favor is won, she is devoted, but over all, Water/Heart is what Kagami would struggle with most.
Luka: Water, Wood, Earth, Metal, Fire
Luka’s best is Water/Heart. He is complacent, fluid, tranquil, open, patient, and at his core, loving. As Water/Heart, its easy for him to make connections with others, to understand what others feel and has a need and pull to reach out and help, to support, and assist. Dominated by Water, the most yin, he is complacent, rather go with flow and roll with his life, lacking a drive.
Wood/Mind is his second best. Silencer and Desperada confirm that he is thoughtful, observant, and a planner; able to come up with the best possibility to succeed. He also matches Wood with his sense of creativity and flexibility. Biggest reason though that Wood isn’t in his primary is that Wood is an element with purpose, it wants to grow and move forward, Luka though is content with where he is, and changes when he’s ready or there’s something pushing him to change.
Earth/Body is his third best. He matches in being grounded, a supporter, and paving the way to change and helping restore balance in others. But one factor that brings it down is a lack of involvement. There is potential, but as of now he is too still and stationary to fully match with Earth, who seeks to be apart of things, seeks to move things forward, and keep things stabilized. When prompted Luka shall do so, but its not often.
Metal/Soul is another Luka can match with, but is becoming weaker on the list. Luka is comfortable with who he is, confident and stable; but he’s not one that puts himself first. Despite an interest in Marinette, her needs and happiness come first, even if it means he may loose a chance to be with her due to his inaction.
Fire/Energy is Luka’s weakest element and the one he struggles with most. The elemental opposite of Water, Luka lacks the energy and drive of Fire. He lacks the momentum, vitality, and aggression Fire needs to thrive and live. He has no wish to stand out, to grab attention and keep it. He instead prefers his gentle and tranquil ways, which makes him a source of solace and comfort, but doesn’t give him a direction or path forward, leaving him stagnant.
Lila: Wood, Water, Fire, Earth/Metal
Lila’s primary is Wood/Mind. She is driven by her mind, rules with it, able to see all possibilities, quick to think of things to say that work in her favor, and can get very creative with her words and claims, and is very flexible to work with what’s around her. Like Wood, she wants to grow and expand, unfortunately her growth is invasive, slowly and secretly moving her roots about to choke and bring down those around her, working off their attention so that she can thrive and grow till she towers over them all.
With Water as her secondary, this helps her in weaving her lies. Her capability to connect with others, to understand who they are, what they want, and what they need to hear. Despite this, her heart isn’t in the right place, making connection purely for her own gain than their own.
Fire/Energy is her third, the attention she receives fueling the flames of her ego, helping her thrive with life for Fires usually work best with attention give to them. And like a Fire, she can be spiteful and dangerous, wishing to burn those who wrong her. Despite this, Fire is 3rd largely due to a lack of Energy to Lila, despite her ego and want to lash out, she is patient in her revenge, waiting for the chance to have it cold so that she can enjoy it. Most true Fires are not so patient.
Earth/Body and Metal/Soul are Lila’s least fit and match. Earth/Body is about being grounded, stable for others, and helping pave way for change. Lila has no wish for change, not for herself or others, and has no true want to support and assist others, to keep the harmony.
Metal/Soul is potentially her least fit, but its really close with Earth/Body. Despite her ego and pride, Metal/Soul is about having confidence in one self, and for most who make up lies about themselves, that’s a sign of a lack of confidence in her self, and that she needs validation from others to feel that she is amazing. Lila is not true to herself, making Metal/Soul one she’ll struggle with a lot.
Felix: Metal/Wood, Fire, Earth, Water
Felix’s primary is Metal/Soul and Wood/Mind. Based on what’s seen for concept art, Felix’s core is Metal/Soul. He is a character that knows who he is and has little interest putting others before himself. One of his biggest goals back in PV was for himself, to be free of a bad luck curse, which potentially involved hurting LB to get what he wants. As a civilian, he has no fear in showing his true colors, in being dismissive and harsh with those who aggravate him. Despite this, there is a flexibility to Felix. This is where the Wood/Mind comes in. Felix is a planner, who is able to consider the possibilities before him and decide the best course of action. He can also be crafty, put on a show to help reach his goals. Metal helps give him direction and Wood helps give him flexibility to reach it.
Fire/Energy is his second best match, feeding into his drive, intensity, and harshness. The Fire can feed into him lashing out, trying to burn anyone who crosses him. Fire is also his source of life and vitality, adding charisma to his guise and approach back in the PV days.
Earth/Body is his third. While not inclined to make connections and help others, Felix is not immobile to change and helping pave way to change. He isn’t above assisting, particularly when motivated, and stands firm for his morals and what’s right for all. He has a lack of involvement, which brings down his connection to Earth.
Water/Heart is his weakest element. Much like Kagami, Felix is not easy to interact with and puts others off with his attitude. Unlike her, he has no interest or want to make connections, preferring the peace of solitude. He can also be very apathetic for others issues. When he makes a connection he will give it his all, but its not an easy connection to form.

I know I'm digging out an old-ass discussion, but...
People who say that Kagami has an inconsistent characterization seem to forget that her very first on-screen moments in Riposte show that yes, she IS impulsive as all hell, and we see a load of just that in Onichan - she does NOT take kindly to seeing some thot clinging to Adrien whilst he is obviously uncomfortable with it.
As for Kagami's behavior as Onichan - hey, blame the akumatization for that. She wasn't exactly the sanest person as Riposte either, when she wanted to outright murder Adrien over a simple misjudgement. Just saying.
Frozer and Desperada also show her brutally honest side, and she also gave Marinette some much-needed advice, not to mention we see legitimate reasons why she had a bit of a problem with the gal up until Ikari Gozen - hell, she said it to her best in that particular episode: "You're indecisive, scatter-brained, and irresponsible."
Well, that, and Marinette messing with Kagami during Animaestro when she was just trying to attend a formal meeting and did nothing wrong, but that episode is a big ol' bore either way.

Wanna Make Me Their Queen
Summary: Adrien was raised to fill the role of King. Gabriel spared no expense to give Adrien the best tutors his influence and wealth could buy to make sure that the Agreste, and no other, embodied the role of King to perfection.
There was only one problem: Adrien hated it.
Notes: Based on the BAMF Royalty AU post by @paperstarwriters (IDK if you know anything about these characters. Hopefully, it's still intelligible 😅. I'm just experimenting with this really.
-----------------
Adrien held himself with dignified restraint, smiling blandly at the assembled citizens as he recited word for word the speech he rehearsed. Not a line of the drivel was filled with any of his own thoughts.
The applause that followed Adrien off stage filled him with no satisfaction. From the perpetual scowl on Gabriel's face the same was true of his father.
"What was that?" King Gabriel demanded. "I thought you understood what was expected of you."
Adrien held his expression in a carefully crafted mask of remorse his tutors told him made the other party feel it was actually their fault. And in this case it was. "I performed the prepared material exactly as instructed, Father. I-"
"King Gabriel!" Said King clenched his fist behind his back. "I expect you to address me accordingly."
Bowing slightly, Adrien mimicked the mannerisms of that one Baron that Gabriel couldn't stand as he held his right fist over his heart. "Of course, my King."
"The coronation is in a month! I cannot have you messing up when we are so close! I will have words with your tutors about this."
Adrien resisted reminding his father that, as Prince, his training was supposed to be personally overseen by the King himself. Not handed over to others.
"I don't have time for this. The council is expecting me so that we may discuss important matters."
Case in point, it was generally protocol for the Prince to sit in at these meetings so they could learn how to run the nation. But Adrien was never invited. Gods forbid he actually learn how to do his job.
The irony probably went over his father's head as Gabriel stalked off.
"... I think that's enough nonsense for one day," Adrien said to no one in particular. Heading over to practice the singular art of Kingship he actually enjoyed: swordplay.
----------------
Fortunately, the training hall was empty.
His body moved with a precision and intensity born from years of study. And not a little bit of frustration. The blade in his hands flowed like an extension of himself. Lunging at his fath- at his imaginary opponent.
"Are you going to join me or just stand there?" Adrien asked without stopping.
"I was admiring the view," Kagami stated by way of greeting.
Adrien was rather proud that his sword didn't go flying out of his hands as a rosy blush colored his cheeks.
Kagami stepped into position with her own sword. "What is it this time?"
Ringing their blades together the match began. Adrien knew her so well his body acted almost on instinct, dancing around her and parrying her strikes. Kagami equally knowledgeable of Adrien's movements. Able to predict his chaotic fighting style with her own.
"I was under the impression that Kings spoke their own thoughts. Not acted like someone else's mouthpiece." Adrien's annoyance seeping into his blade as it sailed through the air.
"King Gabriel isn't doing a very good job of hiding his ambitions." Kagami blocked his swing. "Mother thinks she can get the council to overturn your election to Prince."
"Get someone not under the old King's thumb," Adrien observed. "Duke Tsurugi is a wise woman."
Brow furrowing, Kagami pushed against their blades. Making Adrien stumble. "Unfortunately, your patronage of the orphanages makes the council members 'not under Gabriel's thumb' see you as an excellent candidate for King."
Catching himself Adrien was just in time to block her attack. "What was I supposed to do? Not help orphans?"
Kagami's blade hovered over Adrien's neck. A smile gracing her lips as he proved her point.
His face flushed a deeper crimson. "... Okay, so I wouldn't be terrible at it."
"If being the most powerful individual in the nation is so unappealing-"
"One of, the most powerful individuals."
"-then give it to me."
Adrien blurred past Kagami's blade and was suddenly behind her. Pinning her arms to her side he leaned into her ear. "King Kagami does have a nice ring to it."
"You'd make a fine Queen."
Adrien's heart skipped a beat as his grip loosened ever so slightly.
Kagami twisted out of his grasp and used her bodyweight to pull Adrien onto the floor. Knocking the breath out of him. Straddling his chest her smile turned amused. "Come on, Adrien, really? How long have we been together?"
"... I can't help it if I'm falling for you all over again," Adrien grinned, showing no sign of discomfort at his predicament.
Scoffing fondly, Kagami stood and sheathed her sword.
Adrien sitting up as she did. Pouting at the loss of contact which she pointedly ignored. "... Do you really think I'd make a good Queen?"
Kagami caressed the side of his face as she looked him in the eyes. "I'm not in the habit of complimenting dishonestly."
He looked down as his face heated up, shy smile beaming. "Then I have an idea..."
-----------------
Adrien walked down the grand throne room. Council members and court officials packed on either side of the aisle. Even some ambassadors from other nations in attendance.
And at the very end was his Father. Face as inscrutable as ever. By his side Lady Nathalie who everyone whispered was the real mastermind behind the crown. Duke Tsurugi with Princess Kagami at her side. Queen Cheng stood behind them all in the most inconspicuous dress (for royalty) that she had.
Drawing more attention than necessary to the Queen's position was always unwise.
Adrien tried to ignore the whispers. A King choosing his flesh and blood as successor was highly unusual. Not forbidden just... Discouraged.
He suppressed a smirk. Won't they be surprised.
High Priest Bustier welcomed Adrien as he reached the throne. His heart pounding in his ears and Gabriel's gaze like ice on his skin. Only catching every other word as Bustier went through the ceremony.
"... May Creation and Destruction guide you as you guide our nation." Bustier gestured King Gabriel forward, who removed his crown and placed it on Prince Adrien's head. "Rise, King Adrien!"
The throne room was filled with the expected applause. Adrien waiting until it died down enough, ignoring the stare his Father gave him. Gabriel had prepared a speech that Adrien was "highly encouraged" to take as inspiration.
Clearing his throat, Adrien let his voice boom across the assembly. "My first decree as King! ...Is to name Tsurugi Kagami as Prince!"
"WHAT!?" Gabriel roared.
His voice lost amid the din of confusion from the crowd. Bustier slamming her staff on the ground to bring the noise to a more manageable level.
"I hereby announce my abdication as King!" Adrien felt a weight lift off his chest as the words left his lips. Even Gabriel slowly turning red as his forehead vein pulsed couldn't bring down his mood.
Kagami's mother stepped forward. "I, Duke Tsurugi Tomoe, recognize the appointment of Tsurugi Kagami as Prince."
Gabriel whirled on her. "This is an outrage! You cannot be thinking about going along with this farce! Imagine what the other kingdoms will say!"
"I have spoken, Lord Gabriel."
Gabriel fists clenched in a white knuckle grip.
"I, Duchess Bourgeois, recognize the appointment of Prince Kagami."
Adrien probably shouldn't have taken so much satisfaction in the look on Gabriel's face. Once Audrey learned that it was Gabriel who blocked her daughters' consideration for the positions of Duke or Duchess she came around quickly.
Adrien barely had to push for a majority of the council to recognize his decree. It helped that the candidate for Prince was someone already considered highly competent.
As more members of the court, including some that simply saw which way the wind was blowing, backed Adrien's play Gabriel's expression became more and more murderous. Good thing weapons weren't allowed during a coronation.
"... The King has spoken!" Bustier stated to the crowd. "The council accepts Prince Kagami's appointment!" Her eyes turned pointedly to Gabriel. "Before the eyes of our nation and those of our neighbors it is done."
There was confused but still quite loud applause as Adrien and the other Royals were whisked away to discuss things in private.
--------------------
"I can't believe you two," Queen Cheng chuckled. "Pulling one over on that self-righteous moron. Who's idea was that?"
Adrien raised his hand tentatively.
Queen Sabine smiled as she shook her head. "Oh, I should have tried harder to get you appointed to Princess. So much time to make up for."
"Wait. I was always a candidate for Queen?"
"Of course, dear. Potential Princes might be publicly announced but we keep the identities of Princesses close to the chest.
Kagami's look was a smug 'I told you so'. "I trust we can count on your support, my Queen."
"Prince Kagami, you know I can't stand the former King." Queen Cheng's eyes flicked to Adrien. "And considering how you just declared your abdication in front of the whole world we'd look even more foolish if we tried to back out of it now."
Adrien smiled sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head. Kagami had the audacity to not look the least bit sorry.
There was a knock on the door. "Excuse me, my Royals, but Lord Gabriel is causing quite the stir," a court official called through the door.
Queen Cheng waved Adrien and Kagami back down as they rose. "I'll handle it. I've been itching to give Gabriel a piece of my mind."
"...Oh gods," Adrien sank into the well padded armchair as the tension in his body stopped holding him up altogether. "I can't believe it worked."
"Of course it did." Kagami sat in his lap with her knees over the armrest. "It was your plan."
"That's why I was so stressed out."
Kagami flicked his forehead.
"Ow."
"Give yourself more credit." Kagami wrapped her arms around his neck. "You convinced key members of the council to publicly turn against your father. An underhanded scheme worthy of the most venerated Queens."
"Yes, I feel so appreciated right-"
Kagami cut him off by pressing her lips against his. Adrien fighting back a grin as he sank into the kiss.
"... I feel a little more appreciated now," Adrien said when they pulled apart. Face tinted red.
"Good because I don't plan on keeping our relationship a secret," Kagami announced as she leaned her head onto his.
"A King and a Queen in a relationship? That's almost as scandalous as choosing your blood born as your successor," Adrien teased.
Kagami turned Adrien's head so she could kiss him again. "Well, they'll just have to get used to it... My Queen."

Ecofinisher’s Next Gen children (Miraculous)
I legit forgot I had this post in the draft box to share, but TBH I forgot why I didn’t in the first place 😂 Okay I believe it has something to do with the Super Nathan 4 fanfic, which has been on hiatus for a while. But honestly this past months it’s quite hard for me to come up with any ideas to keep moving on the fic. I had started another fic as well (Which I won’t post now because of writers block and breaks) and even there I don’t seem to be able to continue.
The characters are made as Sims 4 characters, because I’m a lazy artist (And I’m not that good)
1. Chantal Lahiffe, only daughter of Nino Lahiffe and Alya Lahiffe (Née Césaire)
Chantal Lahiffe is the only daughter of Nino Lahiffe and Alya Césaire. She’s the perfect mix of both her parents. Mature, Smart and chatty like her mother, calm, virtuoso and humane like her father. Most of the times, she’s the first friend people come to talk about issues.
Inspired by Velma (The smartness), Yumi Ishiyama (Maturity), Sam (Leadership)
2. Kodiak “Cody” Bruel, only son of Ivan Bruel and Myléne Bruel (Née Hapréle)
Kodiak a.k.a Cody is the son of Mylène Haprele and Ivan Bruel. Very likely to his dad a fan of rock and heavy metal, but also a very kind person like the mother. Cody befriends Luka’s son Rouven during the creche and the time their parents met in the free-time, the years that passed lead the two to become good friends.
Inspired by Home Simpson (Gluscomy), Abby Sciuto (Gothik style), lead singer of MCR,
3. Elliot Agreste, son of Adrien Agreste and Kagami Agreste (Née Tsurugi)
Elliot Agreste is the first child to Kagami and Adrien Agreste and inherited almost everything from his father and from the character, he’s closer to his mother. Elliot is very close to his mother and due to his father’s interest in studying for medecine his relationship with him is low at the begin.
Inspired by Ulrich Stern (Clothing style), WIlliam Dunbar (Personality), Danny Jackson (Playfullyness),
4. Nathalie Kurtzberg, daughter of Nathaniel Kurtzberg and Lila Kurtzberg (Née Rossi)
The first child of Nathaniel and Lila. Coming out after her dad, Nathalie’s quite a closed person at the first sight, but soon after she gets to know them she’ll be as much as talkative as her mother.
Inspired by Kiara (Playfully), Judy Hopps (Determination), Belle (Loves reading), Lilly (Shyness)
5: Rouven Couffaine, only son of Luka Couffaine and Marinette Couffaine (Née Dupain-Cheng)
The only son of Luka and Marinette, Rouven Couffaine seems to be your typical bad boy type, but he’s when you get to know him a, he’s actually not as bad as he looks. He’s just a little....temperamental. From which side of the parents he’s got it remains unknown.
Inspired by: Odd Della Robbia (Bad boy attitude), Bart Simpsons (Rebellious), Donald Duck (Temperament) and Jin (Self-absorbed)

I have spent entirely too much time working on this (while watching a mix of the god awful The Digimon movie and respectives into the series as a whole) but I'm cutting myself off from delving too deep so here's my
Miraculous Digimon AU idea thing
Okay so I was gonna just do Digimon partners but I have a little plot snippet now so I'll start with that
Aliah Kubdel and Claudie Kante worked together on a project that would eventually become a self sustaining digital world, using technology provided by the Tsurugi corporation and running on funds from Agreste and Bourgeois sources or something
There was an accident in the final testing, and work on the project was shut down after the disappearance of Aliah Kubdel. NDAs were signed and it was released that Aliah "died". Alim believes this, or tries to for his own sake, and Jalil believes Aliah was "silenced" for learning something she shouldn't have. He blames aliens
Alix doesn't buy into this, and believes her mom is still alive. She remembers the bedtime stories Aliah would tell her of this world she and Claudie were aiming to make, and believes that they succeeded, with Aliah being trapped in their world
Alix bands together with Max to sneak into his mother's files while she's out, believing the two are helping a classmate study. Max is sceptical of Alix's theory, but he sees how guilty his mom feels over Aliah's disappearance, and it slowly grows on him
The two of them, plus Kim the kid they brought along for alibi, sneak into Claudie's office to search for information on their project and Aliah's accident, when Alix finds a little hard drive. Max works some magic and loads it up on his mom's PC, when a single simple prompt takes over the screen;
LAUNCH
Alix leans over and clicks launch, which kicks everything into action. The program reconnects the severed link and reopens the portal to the digital world, sucking in not only Alix's trio, but other kids who unknowingly were connected to the original event of the First Connection, the incident that lead to Aliah's disappearance
So the classmates, who don't all know eachother here, are spread out in this digital world to solve the mysteries that connects them all, which eventually leads to them all meeting up
Alix is the goggles kid for this one, wearing her mom's old goggles down around her neck, ready to be pulled up for fun action fights and shit as she searches for her mom and maybe uncovers something much deeper along the way, involving destiny and all that character development shit, and whether they were truly playing into what was expected and determining what was orchestrated
The class have to bond with their partner digimon and discover the secrets of this digital world, after waking up to find their phones replaced with a more modern version of the digivice that allows for communication, and strange, individual symbols marked on the back of their hands
--
I worked out whole evolution lines for each character's digimon, which if you know anything about is a chore in and of itself, and tried to get a mix of partners used predominantly and those not, and tried to make them make sense?? Anyways here's the partners at the standard rookie stage- Tumblr and media in posts sucks ass so I recommend googling the digimon if you're unfamiliar with their appearances, or look them up on the digimon wiki page
(Rookie stage is typically the stage the digimon stay in, since their evolutions are permanent)
Also I was thinking if some sort of Crest-like system and tried to come up with some for the kiddos so in brackets after their name is the "virtue" that they would learn to like, accept and exhibit as part of themselves
Marinette (Dark, half of Balance) - Lunamon
Adrien (Light, half of Balance) - Coronamon
Alya (Ambition) - Renamon (I had to)
Nino (Friendship) - Salamon
Kim (Optimism) - Labramon
Alix (Justice) - Monodramon
Max (Wisdom) - Gotsumon
Nathaniel (Dignity) - Dorumon
Rose (Hope) - Lopmon
Juleka (Compassion) - Betamon
Mylene (Courage) - Floramon
Ivan (Kindness)- Elecmon
Sabrina (Pride) - Dracomon
Chloe (Forgiveness) - FanBeemon
Lila (Love) - Impmon
Luka (Honesty) - Gomamon
Kagami (Loyalty) - Gaomon
Marc (Sincerity) - DemiDevimon
--
Anyways yeah I have put way too much time and energy into this already holy shit-

Why not... Marinette ran away from Adrien after he became abusive in their first year of marriage. She didn't know she was pregnant and Kagami covered up for her, she took the Miracle Box with her but don't use them out of shame (or just Tikki) She ends up in Gotham. Pairing is up to you.
Masterlist
A Frisbee Flying At A Fiancée That Fled
Kagami sighed, a small smile playing on her lips. Birds tweeted around the bench she was sat at. Dogs barked in the faint distance. Cherry blossom leaves fell from branches above.
One of her hands was gripping a thin book, whilst the other threaded through the silky locks of the person laying along her lap. They were staring up to the sky blanketing them both, holding fluffy clouds and the sun.
Marinette closed her eyes, allowing her muscles to relax as Kagami ran slim fingers across her hair. She moved an arm to drape over her stomach, and absent-mindedly stroked the small bump just about visible from it.
A melodic hum drifted from her throat to the fencer in her presence, and caused plants nearby to grow out their petals and vines. Several ladybirds began to gather at the grass beneath their bench.
It was all so peaceful, so care-free, that Kagami couldn't help but finally smile softly.
"Watch out!"
Her head shot up at the warning, just in time to see a thin object sailing their way. Alert eyes sharpened. A muscled arm snapped out on instinct to catch it. She scanned over the frisbee, out of all things, then slowly looked to where its destination would have been.
Marinette.
A flash of anger shone in her chocolate brown orbs, and her hold tightened on the toy until a crack formed in the centre of it.
The sounds of footsteps provoked her to glance up, only to see a trio of men walking their way. They were of various sizes, though the two things they had in common were their dark hair and blue eyes.
Kagami grit her teeth, yet kept her expression carefully blank.
"We're so sorry about that, Miss..."
She didn't provide him her name, and simply rose a brow before holding out the damaged frisbee. "Be careful next time," she warned, voice like ice. "You could've harmed my fiancée."
The same man chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry, we'll make sure it doesn't happen again."
"You better," she spoke coldly.
The woman to her side placed a hand on her shoulder with a sigh. "'Gami, be nice. I'm sure they didn't mean it," she chastised half-heartedly, then turned to the males. "Sorry about Kagami. My name is Marinette, it's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too! My name is Dick, and these are my brothers Jason and Tim."
He gestured to a man with a white streak at his fringe - who waved in greeting - and then to the person next to him.
Tim tilted his head, a spark of something akin to recognition coursing through him. "Wait, aren't you the daughter of famous fencer, Tomoe Tsurugi?"
A steel glaze formed over Kagami's eyes. "Leave us be," she commanded, with her brows furrowed and fists clenched. "We are trying to enjoy a date."
Marinette sent Dick an apologetic smile, making him give one of understanding back. "Okay," he agreed cheerfully, before adding on, "We're so sorry about the frisbee, again."
The designer nodded, and watched as him and his siblings turned to walk away. Her fiancée sighed, and she placed her head on her tense shoulder to calm her down.
What the two didn't notice as they moved in to lock lips was Tim pulling out his phone a decent distance away, a suspicion lingering at the back of his mind.
~*~*~
"The designer that I have hired is coming in today with their bodyguard. I need you to be on your best behaviour."
Dick fought off the urge to pout. "You say that like we never are."
"Jason and Damian were sent to the hospital at the last consultation that I set up," Bruce deadpanned, giving the oldest a challenging look.
"Still..."
He was cut off by a knock at the door down the Manor's hallway, which was soon followed by it opening. He exchanged a glance to his brothers, before making his way over with them.
"Good afternoon, Miss Dupain-Cheng," Alfred greeted politely, stepping aside to let them in. "Miss Tsurugi."
"Thank you, good afternoon to yourself!" Marinette exclaimed, beaming as she strolled in alongside a taller woman. Her posture held a certain grace with the way she moved, yet also had excitement with the way she bounced on her toes.
Dick opened his mouth to speak, but stopped when realisation struck him as his eyes met hers. "Wait, aren't you the two I met earlier today at Central Park?"
Marinette rose a brow, then began to study his features. "Oh, yes! I believe so. It's great to meet you again!" she enthused, holding a hand out.
He shook it, as he too gained a disarming smile. "It's such a coincidence that you and your fiancée are with us again!"
She glanced down shyly with a blush, causing the female beside her to smirk. Kagami grabbed her hand and placed a kiss on the wrist of it, much to her horror as her cheeks became redder.
"Forgive me for asking, Miss Dupain-Cheng, but where is your bodyguard?" Bruce asked, not noticing Tim snort from behind him.
The young bluenette gained a quizzing expression. "My bodyguard? Oh, Kagami is mine, she's right here," she replied, pointing to said person. "She's trained in self defense, martial arts, jujitsu, fencing...basically everything. I couldn't think of anyone more trustworthy to protect me."
Her partner froze in surprise at the compliments, which didn't go unspotted by the Wayne family.
"Monsieur?"
Bruce turned to look down at Marinette.
"Is it okay if I start by taking everyone's measurements? I think I'll go from youngest to oldest to make it easier," she started. "Then I'll collect preferences and create some drafts and sketches for your suits."
He nodded in agreement. "Of course. Dick, would you mind calling Damian from his room?"
~*~*~
To @kibastray: Does this count for writing for a side-character of ML? Kagami is one in my opinion.
