This pink and golden kaftan was first worn by Nur Fettahoğlu as Mahidevran Sultan in the thirty-fourth episode of the 2012 second season of 𝑴𝒖𝒉𝒕𝒆ş𝒆𝒎 𝒀ü𝒛𝒚ı𝒍 (𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒚).   The kaftan was reused twice in the fourth season, first in 2013 on Selen Öztürk as Gülfem Hatun in the eleventh episode and then in 2014 on Burcu Güner as Fahriye Kalfa in the twenty-fourth episode.   Learn more at Bit.ly/TudEliz216

finally finished this lapel coat... inspired by Sogdian sources at Panjikent and patterning from the Alanic Moschevaya Balka finds. fabric is pure silk, damask with brocade trim and plain brown taffeta lining

Hanzo in Kaftán dresses ✨

I'm so proud of how pretty he turned out

The context is quite funny (and long)

I was drawing Hanzo and Cassidy one day (future post) and while Cass was almost finished, darling Hanzo was naked like a Ken doll, I had no idea how to dress him

And I told my dad this, he tried to help and suggested I drew him in a kaftán. I had no fucking idea what a kaftan is

Once I got home I searched in holy Google and the result were tons of women dresses

For extra context, my dad is a teeeeny bit close minded when it comes to men wearing dresses and feminine things (and queer stuff in general 🙄)

So yeah, y'all can get why it's funny and why I had to draw him in those
