Goldlewis almost made me start crying, as he can now cancel Behemoth Typhoons into each other (so he can just fucking explode you with very little effort, natural BT-BT-BT combos will do fucking crazy damage even just from the affect it has on combo decay alone) and it also looks like maybe the gravity scaling is affected? HOWEVER: it costs one half of the security gauge to cancel a BT into a BT. I like that actually, it'll make for more mindful security gauge usage and not relegate it to "I win neutral now." Also, 426H seems to have some kind of vacuum hitbox now? Either it's going to have some sweet spot stuff for wallbounce combos or the cancelled version will have different properties

Sol can combo into HMC. I wouldn't be surprised if they nerf the damage, or maybe it'll just be like HPB? ALSO: HE CAN CANCEL INTO FAFNIR. EITHER THAT OR 6S HAS REDUCED RECOVERY. That's fucking insane. Just completely insane. I'm hoping they give it a different version that can be cancelled into that does less damage or something but that seems REALLY strong. Nagoriyuki also looked fucking insane, he can now naturally combo off of blood rage. It looks like the point of it is going to be for after a wallstick, but mark my words there will be routes that go into it before that to get big damage. Overall it doesn't look like it'll do anything other than making Shizu loops better but importantly - his blood rage super now seems to INSTANTLY APPLY the 50% health decrease. I feel like there's more behind the scenes that will be unveiled once the patch drops. The only effect I see currently is that Nago will rob the fuck out of you more often (for example, he has a CH Shizu loop that kills Ky at 57% with 0 RISC, I imagine this change will just push that somewhere into 60% but guts is weird so I'm not sure)

Elphelt can now combo into her grab super (this patch is just make all the grab supers unblockable hitgrabs huh) which will mean that: people actually use it and it isn't just a waste of meter lol

The new song is VERY good

Overall it looks fun and I'm excited to test stuff when the patch comes out. The thing I like about it is that they seem to be leaning into the XRD feel of "everyone gets fucked up bullshit, so it works out to some sort of balance à la when everyone's super no-one will be." Very cool.

Assalamu'alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh teh @rumahati-deactivated20240719, saya gak tahu harus meminta klarifikasi ke teteh gimana. Akun teteh sudah non aktif, saya gak pernah save nomor teteh karena terlalu personal. Saya gak pernah mencari tahu media sosial teteh yang lain. Karena saya percaya teteh orang yang dapat menjalankan amanah dengan baik.

Saya kaget waktu baca postingannya Mbak Nisa @andromedanisa. Saya gak mau percaya tapi kok tiba-tiba akun teteh deactv per tgl 19 ini. Makanya saya coba bikin tulisan ini.

Teh, 2019 itu jadi tahun yang cukup berat buat saya. Tapi saya bersyukur ketemu akun teteh sebagai wasilah yang menjembatani saya untuk berbuat sedikit kebaikan. Teteh ingat gak saya pernah bilang gt?

Sejak saat itu saya selalu menyisihkan 'pendapatan' saya untuk dititipkan ke teteh buat adik-adik atau keluarga yang membutuhkan meskipun mungkin tidak seberapa. Saya juga berusaha mengajak keluarga dan teman-teman terdekat untuk menitipkan sedekahnya melalui teteh. Bahkan saya pernah adu argumen dengan kakak saya sendiri untuk membela bahwa teteh ini orang yang bisa dipercaya. Hingga akhirnya kakak saya luluh dan ikut membantu.

Teh ingat gak waktu masa-masa covid, masa yang dirasakan 'kesulitannya' oleh semua orang. Tapi saya khawatir kalau kesulitan saya gak seberapa dengan kesulitan yang teteh alami sehingga saya ingin sedikit mengurangi beban teteh dengan mengajak teman-teman saya untuk berdonasi di teteh. Lalu ada seorang teman yang ingin berbagi beberapa karung beras yang teteh 'tolak' lalu dengan halus mengisyaratkan kalau bisa mentahnya saja. Saya tidak pernah berpikir macam-macam, saya dan teman saya hanya berpikir 'ah iya mungkin sekarang sedang lockdown akses mobil ke daerahnya mungkin terbatas, lalu kalau berkarung-karung beras itu dibawa dari gerbang tol Cileunyi ke Ujung Berung hanya dengan sepeda motor justru hanya akan menyusahkan, kasihan.'

Atau teteh ingat yang ini, ketika teteh menginformasikan ada ibu muda yang harus melahirkan bayi ditengah kemalangannya sebagai korban KDRT juga harus mengalami postpartum syndrome. Saat itu saya tidak ada kemampuan secara materi untuk membantu, tapi info ini saya bagikan di grup teman-teman dekat juga media sosial saya. Ada beberapa teman yang tergerak membantu salah satunya teman saya yang baru beberapa bulan melahirkan putrinya, dengan cepat ia meminta no rek teteh dan bahkan menitipkan pesan 'Ju, tolong tanyain butuh apa buat bayinya. Nanti kalau butuh apa-apa kabari aku ya, aku coba bantu sebisa aku' sembari memberikan bukti tf yang saat itu menurut saya nominalnya lumayan. Saya juga meminta bantuan secara personal -person to person kepada teman-teman yang memiliki penghasilan lebih, karena saya begitu iba dengan kondisi ibu tsb. Ah atau teteh pernah mendapati nominal sedekah hanya sebesar Rp.25.000? Mungkin itu salah satunya dari seorang adik yang saat akan berdonasi begitu ragu dan khawatir tidak ada andil membantu apalagi mengurangi beban teteh, ia dengan malu bertanya "Teh juju, aku pengen ikutan donasi tapi sedikit gapapa?". Saya menyambutnya dengan antusias niat adik tsb, karena teringat kata teteh berapapun akan sangat membantu.

Teh, dari 2019-2023 saya tidak pernah meragukan amanah atau tidaknya teteh. Mungkin dalam rentang waktu tersebut saya tidak selalu ada, siap sedia ketika teteh meminta bantuan. Tapi saya selalu coba untuk share ke yang lain, berharap mungkin pertolongan Allah melalui orang-orang itu. Saya selalu ajak teman-teman yang saya nilai berkemampuan secara finansial untuk membantu.

Teh, saya turut prihatin terhadap apa yang menimpa keluarga teteh. Ujian yang berat. Tapi apakah itu yang membuat teteh mengkhianati amanah yang dititipkan? Jujur saya sedih, kecewa, marah. Tapi saya tidak pernah menyesal teh Alhamdulillah, tidak juga merasa rugi dengan materi yang sudah dikeluarkan karena saya yakin kebaikan yang saya dan teman-teman lakukan tetaplah kebaikan meskipun tidak dijalankan dengan baik oleh teteh (semisal itu benar). Allah tahu setiap niat baik itu. Malaikat mencatat. Kalau segala rumor itu benar, semoga Allah mengampuni kebodohan saya dan berharap keluarga serta teman-teman saya tidak terlalu kecewa dan marah kepada saya yang sudah 'menjerumuskan' mereka. Yang saya takutkan mereka orang-orang baik itu jadi takut berbuat baik karena kebaikannya disalahgunakan.

Teh, semoga Allah melembutkan hati teteh dan menuntun teteh ke jalan yang benar. Selesaikan segala muamalah yang memang harus teteh tunaikan. Jangan tiba-tiba menghilang, lalu kami berasumsi banyak hal. Ketuk pintu-pintu maaf dari mereka yang merasa terdzalimi. Saya yakin mereka bersedia memaafkan, kalau teteh berusaha untuk memperbaiki.

Teh, saya memohon maaf jika ada hal yang kurang berkenan selama kita bermuamalah. InsyaAllah saya pun memaafkan dan mendoakan. Semoga Allah mudahkan.

Tapi bisa ku anggap hubungan yang umum saja ya, pacaran under 5 tahun, usia under 27 (?), semoga cukup dekat tebakan ku.

Based on my experience, "Laki-laki itu enggak bisa dipaksa, apalagi perkara serius/menikah". Tapi kan kita juga gak bisa "jalan aja dulu" sampe ketemu gerbang Pyongyang kan, nah makanya mesti dikasih "deadline". Setahun, dua tahun, berapa tahun kamu sanggup "menunggu" atau investasi perasaan.

Ini juga sejalan dengan usia mu. Kalau beliau ada "niat" untuk serius, mestinya diupayakan. Tapi kalau berkelit terus, ya, simply kamu belum cukup membuatnya yakin that you're the one. Kamu bukan prioritas.

Kalau kamu punya banyak energi untuk menunggu, silahkan, kalau enggak, selesaikan. Energi untuk mencintai orang yang tidak menjadikanmu prioritas, lebih baik dialihkan untuk beternak lele.

Aku ada case salah seorang teman yang ukhti, tidak ingin pacaran, lalu bertemu seorang yang belum bisa satset menikah dalam 3 bulan, tapi juga dia "butuh" temanku untuk membersamai dalam suka duka kehidupan. Surprisingly temanku mau berkompromi, tapi dengan target menikah setahun pasca mereka kenal. Alhamdulillah sekarang mereka sudah menikah.

Jadi, kamu yang tau karakter pasanganmu. Hasil akhir orang itu beda-beda, tergantung prioritas. Kabari aku lagi keputusan terakhir mu!

(Tidak) Takut Berkarya Lagi

Salah satu orang terbaik di dalam hidup saya yang selalu ingin saya kabari setiap kali ada hal baik dan buruk terjadi adalah ibu, sosok orangtua ideologis yang seringkali lebih memahami saya daripada diri saya sendiri. Kemarin, setelah melewati hari-hari yang cukup berat karena sakit, saya akhirnya menemui beliau dan membawakan buku terbaru yang baru saja saya rilis, Mendewasakan Rasa.

Baru saja menyodorkan bukunya, belum cerita apa-apa, saya sudah menangis. Saya bilang, "Ibu doain saya ya, buku ini banyak sekali ujiannya. Dari awal dibuat sampai sekarang, rasanya banyak hal berat sedang terjadi. Saya dan keluarga sedang menjalani hidup seperti judul buku ini."

Iya, awalnya saya pikir Mendewasakan Rasa hanyalah sebatas judul buku yang saya dan suami rilis (benar saya yang menulis, tapi ada banyak sekali proses kreatif, teknis, marketing, strategi ini itu, dsb yang dihandle oleh suami). Tapi ternyata, ia adalah juga tema ujian sekaligus pendidikan dari Allah untuk kami saat ini. Banyak hal qadarullah membuat kami patah, bangkit, patah lagi, bangkit lagi, dst.

Dalam diskusi kami, suami sering mengatakan, "Kayaknya buku ini buat aku, deh." Lalu saya pun menimpali, "Kayaknya memang buat aku juga." Begitulah, saya baru menyadari setelah bukunya rilis bahwa setiap tulisan di dalamnya pertama-tama adalah untuk diri saya sendiri dan keluarga. Mungkin Allah tidak ingin kami sekedar memahami ilmu di balik apa yang dituliskan di buku ini, tetapi juga ingin benar-benar menjadikannya langkah dalam perbuatan.

Namanya dididik oleh Allah lewat ujian, rasanya pasti tidak mudah. Saya bahkan sempat berpikir, "Berkarya itu menakutkan banget, ya! Takut banget deh kalau kita harus diuji dengan karya-karya yang kita buat." Tidak hanya itu, selintas tanya pun muncul, "Apa sebaiknya aku tidak perlu berkarya lagi saja?" Ah, tapi tidak! Pasti bukan ini poin kesimpulan yang Allah inginkan dari saya dengan menghadirkan ujian-ujian selepas berkarya. Bukankah saya sudah berkomitmen dengan diri sendiri bahwa saya akan terus berkarya untuk menjadikannya sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab dan bentuk syukur kepada Allah atas dititipi-Nya ilmu, potensi, dan profesi?

Saya takut, tapi saya juga punya harapan untuk punya jiwa yang bersih sebersih-bersihnya. Saya cemas, tapi saya juga tidak ingin kehilangan peluang amal shalih hanya karena saya memilih untuk mengabaikannya. Saya khawatir, tapi saya juga percaya bahwa berkarya adalah ladang ibadah yang dekat dan mudah yang Allah beri sebagai kebaikan untuk saya.

Lalu bagaimana? Atas seizin Allah, semoga Dia masih terus mengizinkan saya berkarya dan berbesar hati untuk mau ditumbuhkan dan disayang oleh-Nya lewat hal-hal yang luar biasa. Iya, saya ingin tetap berkarya, menulis, dan menjadikannya sebagai cara untuk berbagi pesan cinta-Nya.

Maka Ya Allah, setiap kali aku patah, bantulah aku untuk bangkit tanpa harus berlama-lama larut di dalamnya. Setiap kali aku menyaksikan orang-orang yang kusayang melemah, bantulah aku untuk berbagi kekuatan tanpa berakhir menjadi luka yang menyakitkan. Pada akhirnya, aku membutuhkan-Mu lagi dan lagi sebagai tempat dimana aku menyandarkan semuanya. Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa billah.

Mohon doanya ya, teman-teman! Kami tidak ingin sekedar selesai dengan ujian ini, tetapi kami ingin bisa menjawabnya dengan benar sesuai kehendak-Nya dan beroleh hikmah dari-Nya yang bisa menguatkan perjalanan-perjalanan kami selanjutnya. Aamiin~

thinking about the absolutely insanity that possessed me when i got into GG, bought Strive the following day and then immediately jumped into playing Asuka.

i have never played a fighting game before (aside Smash, but i just button mashed). i dont even know most fighting game terms (like meaty or kabari).

Asuka really is such a complicated character to play but i'm actually kinda really getting the hang of playing him? only played in training mode mostly for a maximum of 5 hours so far. played a few online matches (all of which except for 1 against a Faust player, that i lost cuz this was Day 1 and i didnt know how to play).

Sebenarnya ngga etis sih misuh-misuhin orang disini, tapi aku udah keselnya pol-polan.

Jadi, aku tuh di bulan Juni ada join job gitu. Awal-awal pembayaran aman, sampai akhirnya ada kesepakatan kalau payment dikasihnya dua Minggu sekali. Ya aku oke lah, sekalian aku kerjain job lain biar paymentnya sekaligus.

Nah, pas di bulan September orang ini mulai ngeselin. Katanya janjiin tiga Minggu akan payment, karena dia rekap datanya dulu dan aku ngga masalah.

Pas didiemin sampai sebulan, kabar payment belum ada kepastian. Akhirnya aku tanyakan lagi, bagaimana kelanjutan payment, tapi pesanku ngga dibalas hahahaha.

Akhirnya sudah dua bulan, aku tanyakan lagi di grup dengan harapan orang lain yang belum payment juga ikut speak up (tapi cuma like chatku doang awowkwkkwk).

28 Oktober, aku chat di grup lagi dengan bahasa yang sopan.

Dan BOMMM! langsung ke luar dia hahahaha. Langsung chat panjang lebar dan mencari-cari alasan.

Yang ngga aku habis pikir, kemana dia selama kurun waktu dua bulan? Di chat ngga di balas, ditanya jawabnya "Iya nanti ya, nanti kalau aku payment, aku kabarin lagi". Terus sekarang balasnya dia kena musibah karena saldonya hilang gitu aja dan data yang orang kirim ke dia ikut hilang juga.

Kalau dia dari awal ngga lepas tanggung jawab, harusnya dia bilang kalau ada masalah dan minta tolong ke kami untuk rekap data ulang dan kirim ke dia. Tapi, selama dua bulan dia ngilang gitu aja, orang mana yang ngga kesal kalau haknya ngga dikasih tanpa kepastian yang jelas?

Akhirnya, kemarin aku data ulang kembali dan aku kirim ke dia, biar dia juga secepatnya ngasih hak aku. Tapi, lagi-lagi dia bilang "Kalau aku payment, langsung aku kabari ya. Tenang, akan tetapi aku payment ko". Lah, itu mah tanggung jawab lu buat payment hak gue bjirrrrrrrrr! Kekesalanku jadi double.

Uangnya ngga seberapa, aku pun ada uang segitu. Cuma, aku kesal karena kerja kerasku disepelekan dan hakku ngga diberikan seperti seharusnya. Dia menempatkan aku seolah aku mendesak dan butuh sekali, beberapa kali chatku ngga dibalas sampai akhirnya seperti pengemis.

Yaudah lah ya, jadikan pelajaran aja. Sampai uangku ngga dipayment, berarti dia betulan orang yang ngga bertanggung jawab.

Tapi, uangnya kan lumayan buat beli bakso 10 mangkok hahahahaha.

Hari ini ada jadwal kunjungan pengamat pembelajaran Al-Qur'an ke sekolah. Namun, rekan-rekanku yang seharusnya menjadi objek pengamatan ternyata tidak masuk karena sakit. Aku baru mengetahuinya tadi pagi. Sementara tim pengamat sudah membuat janji akan datang hari ini. Mengetahui rekanku yang sakit, aku jadi sibuk sendiri. Beberapa kelas terpaksa harus diisi oleh anak-anak yang sedang melaksanakan PKL. Buru-buru aku menginformasikan tim pengamat bahwa beberapa pengajar Al-Qur'an tidak semuanya hadir di hari ini. Tetapi itu terlambat. Karena ternyata tim pengamat sudah terlanjur melakukan perjalanan dari sejak pagi buta untuk menuju ke sekolah kami, dan saat aku kabari ternyata sudah sampai di halaman depan sekolah.

Aku bingung harus bagaimana, tapi aku berusaha untuk tetap tenang menghadapi semuanya. Rekan-rekanku yang lain menunjukkan rasa empati melihatku harus menghadapi tim pengamat sendiri. Dari situ aku berpikir bahwa ternyata tidak ada orang lain yang dapat membantu kita sesuai dengan apa yang kita harapkan saat kita dalam keadaan terdesak dan diliputi kekhawatiran.

Beruntungnya kita masih punya Allah yang menjadi tempat menggantungkan harapan. Maka dari situ aku diingatkan bahwa jika kita membutuhkan pertolongan, lalu kita datang kepada manusia, itu tidaklah tepat. Bagaimana mungkin seseorang yang juga butuh pertolongan dimintai tolong? Maka satu-satunya jalan adalah kembali pada Allah.

Aku juga diingatkan tentang sebuah ayat yang berisi tentang pernyataan mengembalikan segala urusan kepada Allah.

Seperti biasa, saat suasana hatiku sedang tidak stabil, aku selalu melakukan self talk. Dan kali ini aku mencoba menguak ingatanku tentang kisah-kisah dalam Al-Qur'an,

"Wahai diriku, tidakkah kau ingat bahwa Nuh mengadukan keluhannya akan dakwahnya yang tidak diterima? Yunus lari dari kaumnya lantaran kekesalan yang mendera? Musa lari ketakutan lantaran kesalahan yang dilakukannya? Lalu apa yang mereka lakukan setelah itu? Ialah mengadu dan mengakui ketidakberdayaan mereka. Hingga Allah mengampuninya dan memberikan jalan keluar yang tidak terduga. Maka di tengah kebingungan yang mengepungmu, selama kamu menjaga prasangka baikmu kepada Allah, menyerahkan urusanmu kepada-Nya, percayalah pertolongan Allah itu sangatlah dekat dan akan segera kamu rasakan."

Alhamdulillah, akhirnya proses pengamatan itu selesai. Kekhawatiranku akhirnya sirna, berganti dengan rasa syukur karena telah Allah mudahkan segala prosesnya di hari ini.

BATTLE STANCE EVOLUTION: Part 1

I'm calling this "Part 1" because I plan on covering the other characters eventually in discussion, but just keep in mind Tumblr limits 10 images per blog post, so that's the main reason I'm doing this.

Sol Badguy: Initially he gripped the Fireseal with a reverse grip in a laid-back and lazy pose and mostly let his fists and feet do the fighting, but as time went on he built the large heavy blade weapon known as OutRage Mk. 2… we already know how large it gets when completely transformed, but by itself Sol likes to use a white tassel to help throw its heavy weight around. It's actually better at smashing things than simply cutting. In times past, Sol used a Concrete Slab, an Emergency-use Axe, and a Cogblade sword. Sol has also been known to dual wield weapons on rare occasion.

Ky Kiske: Ky's Hand and a Half stance once embodied the nobility of the Sacred Order of Holy Knights, and he even maintained that stance when wielding the massive ornamental blade Aquila (proof that he can wield heavy swords even with one hand)… Later, when the Thundersealed Sword regenerated itself from saving Dizzy, Ky adopted a more relaxed side-stance, but this relaxed stance hides just how flexible he really is in combat as he can cut down a person's ankles in an instant with Stun Dipper. In addition, motion he makes for Vapor Thrust now has two different motions… the Heavy version gains more height and Ky uses more force to launch his opponents. Ky has also alternated from several different leg-based attacks from Needle Spike (An overhead axe-kick in to a slash of his sword), Crescent Slash (a reverse flip in to an upward Slash), Greed Sever (his famous "Emerald Sword"), and finally Foudre Arc which uses the same arcing motion the original Needle Spike had, but can be enhanced during "Shock State". Else, Ky has far too many moves to really list here, to say how versatile he really is… most notable being Zerofied Chain, which is a magic spell that Ky can use to maneuver around his opponent much like Baiken's Kabari "Fishing Fly" technique.

Zato=ONE: Zato's original "back-facing stance" is based on Flamenco Dancers in Spanish tradition, allowing him to stomp and clap easily (which is how he currently trained Eddie to change actions mid-motion as a kind of Attack-Cancel). His current modern stance favors his dominant foot and the motions of his arms (which are used to form many of the shadow attacks he uses, similar to a genuine Shadow Puppet Show).

Millia Rage: Her initial stance put emphasis on her physical speed and flexibility, allowing her hips to sway in motion with the flicks of her hair. But as Angra grew in size and power, Millia has had to adjust her stance to accommodate the weight of her hair as a weapon. Now she can use the weight of her hair's attacks to propel her own body mid-motion for kicks and quick movements like Mirazh (her evolved form of the Zenten forward roll she once used). Most notable of her arsenal is the changes made to her multi-hitting Lust Shaker attack. Originally they were light flicks of attacks from the top of her head towards her opponent as a kind of anti-air move, but eventually she started using the move horizontally and leaned sideways in order to use her hair's power more effectively… they created a "Rose Crest" effect on Lust Shaker (in the GGX days as the Drafting Arts depicted it)… she would of course later develop Chroming Rose as a result of this and Longinus (a follow-up to Lust Shaker), but now the attack is effective enough to be used behind her hips without much effort compared to before (in early XX depictions though, it acted as protective Ivy around her body, like a hedge of thorns).

Chipp Zanuff: Chipp has grown a lot as a Ninja to say the least… early on, he would hold his hand and leading foot outwards and shift from front to back, later, he would sometimes wag his hand in a relaxed motion as if that was his natural battle stance… but since Strive's events, he has mastered Tsuyoshi's teachings and keeps a much tighter stance with his hands and fingers for use in various Jutsu techniques. Furthermore, it can be said that his Banki Messai has changed a lot as well… as Chipp can now use Shadow Clones to attack alongside himself, instead of merely using his natural agility. He's also improved his skill in Stealth and Illusions as well.

May: Early on, May's battle stance was very simple as she would sway in accordance with the shifts in weight of her anchor, but now that she has a custom-made Anchor to match her skill with Water Magic, her stance has become less erratic so that she can use the full power of her strength and the Anchor's weight at a moment's notice… growing taller has also changed how she holds her weapon as well since she's not so tiny anymore compared to the massive Anchor's size.

Axl Low: Axl's semi-crouching stance is pretty famous in terms of how he traditionally wields his Kusari-gama, the reason being that this is the usual stance he has when throwing out consecutive Rensengeki chain attacks. Throwing the chain along the ground is how he establishes his offense and "controls the stage". Most likely the reason behind such a low stance has to do with how much effort is needed in throwing his heavy chains around, to put his whole back muscles in to the force of the attack. Axl's more modern "standing stance" is much more relaxed and reveals (believe it or not) that Axl has gotten much stronger since he started using the style: the reason he can stand up normally and still wield his chain scythes is because it takes a lot LESS effort to throw his chains now that he has more muscle power in his arms and legs to throw the weapon around. He also likes to "tap" his front-most foot in time with the sway of the chains he wields, meaning his battle stance has a rhythm to it, even if that's not immediately apparent.

Potemkin: Potemkin's old fighting stance had him rock back and forth while favoring to grip with his dominant hand: it would open and close as if readying him to grab his opponent at a moment's notice… Similar to some ways gorillas use their knuckles and forearms to propel themselves forwards, Potemkin also utilizes the size of his hands to propel himself rather than his much smaller feet and legs. He still walks normally of course, but because of how small his legs are in proportion to his arms, he's always been slow at getting around. He can still kick and stomp with a great deal of force though, make no mistake! As of Strive, Potemkin favors a stance that is more accurate to MMA-style grappling and wrestling… both hands are open and ready to pin the opponent down at any time. While Potemkin puts less emphasis on his destructive Mega Fists (Or Gigantic Piston/Magnum Opera) these days, his Potemkin Buster is still an unchanged force to be reckoned with. It's just too bad we don't get to see his stern face under all that Armor as much anymore!

Faust: Even back in the old days, Faust was something of an odd fighter, but he gets his habits from a certain warrior named TamTam of Samurai Shodown fame! He would rock up and down on the haunches of his feet and occasionally skitter backwards to maintain dominance with the range of his massive Margarita Scalpel. While his old style put more emphasis on direct hack and slash attacks, Faust would often use the natural range of his limbs and the length of his fingers to take advantage of his opponents… you do NOT want to get Slapped by Faust during his massive IKINARI OISSU Hand Slap… it stings worse than a Harisen Fan! As of Strive, Faust has "put on" the SERIOUS Surgery gloves and his massive height is on full display, even taking advantage of his unnatural flexibility and "other" bizarre powers to get the drop on anyone who would DARE stop a Doctor from fulfilling their sacred duties! More famous among his kit of moves was his "Pogo Stance" which could produce the "Doctor Copter!" using his long legs to fly in the air!

Baiken: She was the HIDDEN FIGHTER among this roster of misfits, but has since evolved from less of a Yankee Delinquent with a Katana and more of an actual powerhouse Samurai Warrior! It's worth noting that many of her animations and attacks were "unfinished" according to many sources, and even in the GGXX days, her animations hadn't been fully fleshed out as well as they should have been. It wasn't until Xrd Revelator that Baiken got a proper kit of walking and running animations… still, looking at the comparison here, you can tell that the sprite-work for GGX's version of Baiken still had to rely on the original GG1 sprites as a base, so just the fact they managed to get so far with producing Baiken as a character means there was a LOT of talent behind her creation. Based on the animations of her stance though… originally Baiken gripped her sword with her remaining hand though it's unclear how the sword was tied to her belt at the time (they didn't think to draw a proper belt for her sword!) Nowadays her stance puts emphasis on her open palm: which she uses for grab counters, Ki attacks, and even her BAKU Seals which can debilitate anyone who gets hit by them. Of course, she DOES Draw her sword, but she uses a quick draw method along with a tassel which she uses to hold the scabbard in addition to using her teeth to hold the sword before a full draw. Her multi-use Prosthetics have ranged from a pinwheel blade, a dragon cannon, a rope with a hook, and a kind of bell clasp which is what she uses in her modern style of managing her opponent's movements with Kabari (her "Fishing Fly"… the original name of Kabari was "Kamaitachi" as in a Wind Demon which is known to trip up those unawares…). Also, fun-fact... Baiken's Slot 1 Color in Guilty Gear Strive is based on the original color of Baiken's hair from GG1 which is a more natural hair color compared to the Cherry Blossom Pink color that Baiken is more known for.
