Fr about people making up trauma for characters

With Kokichi it's kind of up in the air considering his DICE organization is meant to reference a group of orphans, with Byakuya DR:T was vague by nature of the K2K system in the story, but every time I see someone make up trauma for these guys outside of what's canon and say their headcanons are facts I want to SCREAM.

Here’s an interesting implication technically. So it was normal for the Togami family to take fifteen partners and have fifteen heirs, right? To partake in the competition: Byakuya’s father having a hundred and eight children having been seen as unusual, but still only fifteen were meant to take part. And Byakuya knew he was the last of the Togamis when he sealed himself away, before that memory was wiped? So in retrospect, in him agreeing to remain in the building for the rest of his life, with fifteen others of a similar age, we see an interesting implication by inference, of intent. Which the alternate ending seems to back up heavily.

So you're suggesting that this implies Togami was hoping to father 15 children somewhere among the 8 women he'd be locked in with... ? As Hope's Peak students, they would probably qualify as "exceptional women" that would well suit the Togami inheritance system.

It's a pretty interesting suggestion... though I doubt that most of the 78th class' girls would be willing to let Togami knock them up. :P But hey, you can't say the man lacks for confidence. Of course he'd believe it'd be easy to convince them. He'd probably be downright shocked when most of them reject his offer. lol.

Yeah, I can see this idea being something that would help convince Togami to agree to the lockdown. Even so, that doesn't mean he necessarily expected/intended to make use of this contingency right out of the gate. When the 78th class locks themselves in, they don't have any clue how long they'll be there, but they're obviously hoping it won't last TOO long. So even if this is something that Togami might identify as a useful potential resource should they be trapped together indefinitely, I doubt he's going into the lockdown fully planning to produce progency within the school's confines.

As for the Bad Ending, we could always blow that off as a hallucination. But even if we take it as a true alternate end, that still means Togami didn't churn out as many kids as possible. He's sharing his babymama with two other dudes, evidently (Hina why did you ever agree to this) and has only produced the ONE heir by the time of that photograph.

(And to be fair, the "108 children" thing is debatable. Almost everything that is stated or occurs within the Danganronpa Togami light novels is debatable because of the third volume's reveal about the whole Borges/K2K System deal.)

Exactly. And the fan translating it seemed to personally interpret it as a "none of it ever happened/matters" ending, so we got a pretty skewed perspective there.

But as noted with the ‘Danganronpa 3’ reference, I don’t agree. The way i see it, absolutely everything still happened, and all Borges changed was the identities of certain players, anyone who’d contradict the false narrative of who Blue Ink was meant to be. Therefore anything the system couldn’t know about to contradict would have definitely happened — which included the presence of Ultimate Despair, Genocide Jill, Mukuro, and so on — since the system didn’t have enough context, there was nothing about them worth contradicting.

The novel makes it very clear that almost everything was warped in some way, the entirety of the Togami tragedy was a fabricated memory, the Kudan and many of the characters were ripped from Kagami Family Saga (a novel series that was presumably dumped into the K2K system), and multiple identities like Kazuya and Suzuhiko may have not even existed. It's even implied that Byakuya himself was warped by the K2K system to reflect the more perfect Byakuya that Blue Ink envisions him to be.

It's difficult to say what happened besides the basic premise but that's the point. "The story is a simple one. A young man went on a mission to dominate the world. After a series of extraordinary adventures and great risks, the young man gets what he wants and returns home safe and sound. The real question is what led him there."

Anything that could even possibly alter her perception of anything was changed, the novel makes it clear that we're not supposed to know how much was real and how much was fabricated. While you can definitely assume most of it wasn't fabricated, that isn't concrete and there's no way of knowing.

It's the child of FT8 and allows for more of a packet like K2K contact. Also there is some degree of store and forward built in.

I think it's still considered experimental as a mode but it seems to work.
