What characters would you have liked to see duel? 7th: E is for Enemy Oneshot villains like the Fallguys, the Arclights, Don Thousand? A hero’s journey is only as good as its bad guys so let’s give them some appreciation! What do you like about them? 8th: F is for Friendship What’s you favourite friendship in the series? Alternatively, what friendship would you have liked to see? What two characters would have had a good friendship? 9th: G is for Gate The gate to the Astral world can also link to other worlds. This is our crossover prompt! Throw the Zexal characters to another world/fandom you’re in at the moment or bring other characters to the world of Zexal.

12th: H is for Hobby Whether it’s a character doing your hobbies or what you have headcanoned for them, show a Zexal Character (or characters) enjoying themselves with a hobby outside of card games! 13th: I is for Icicles Whether it’s icicles because it’s winter right now or icicles as in the stuff you eat at the beach, it’s time to give our faves a treat! Throw everyone in a beach episode or in a cabin under the snow... 14th: J is for Justice (Or Jail) Tell us what you thought was unfair in Zexal or show us a character that you think should be punished. Maybe show us bringing it into your own hand… 15th: K is for KATTOBINGU Kattobingu is the will to never give up without giving it your all. It’s taking a chance and moving forward with courage. Hey Pinnie! Just wanted to ask, are you an objectum at any sort of degree? And if not, do you think any of your monsters would be one, perhaps? I feel like Fank-E and Sybastian would be, ngl,,,,

(To be clear, an Objectum is a person who feels sexual attraction towards inanimate objects, like computers and PCs, smart phones and rotary phones, security cameras, TVs, radios, even bridges and statues, etc)

[This is a bit hard to answer.

Because, as far as I know (and I'm not very well educated on this), there are degrees of objectum. There's someone who finds a specific computer really sexy, then there's someone who designs a somewhat anthropomorphic being off of said computer and finds it sexy. I fall mostly onto the latter.

Sometimes I'll doodle a creature/monster based off a mask because I find that mask appealing. Other times I'll make a monster based on a lollipop, like this. (Twitter link will likely not work unless you're logged in.) Point being, I make characters out of objects, the object itself is not enough.

Furthermore, does feeling sexually attracted to a robot that is clearly not sentient or a person make me an objectum? Because the K-Trons from Valerian have me on a chokehold. I also feel attracted to mech suits who aren't sentient, like jeagers (boy. I wanted November Ajax and Obsidian Fury to frot on-screen.)

I don't really know if I can say I'm objectum or not, so I'm probably borderline objectum.]

Fun fact!! Xiko is explicitly an objectum. His greed and love for his possessions goes far, very far. In particular, he has a rare and gorgeous chalice in his collection, merely handling it causes him great arousal. It's not uncommon for him to pleasure himself while caressing or pressing the chalice against him.

There's potential for Fank-e and Sybastian to have objectum experiences as well, now that you mention it. Sybastian likely has shapes he finds more stimulating to turn into than others, so he'd be an auto-objectum (does that exist?) more than anything. He even enjoys having sex with you in various shapes.

Fank-e would likely feel attracted to specific tech, probably anything that falls into one of his strange frutiger aero aesthetics.

Think-y thoughts late on Friday night from my discussion with @dangermousie (mostly because she and I have realized we have like … 5% overlapping taste in cdramas. I can’t stay about k-dramas because I don’t watch enough, but I’ll pretty much watch anything crime related.)

So recently I made a post to new followers about what types of drama I like, but then I tried to figure out why specific things within that subgenre resonate with me more than others.

(Also, my biggest fandom secret: I don’t care much for LOTR at all. And I tried. I think it’s probably for the reason below).

But I think … what specifically presses my buttons is a female centric story that is really fundamentally introspective? It doesn’t have to be high angst, like Meet Yourself wasn’t high angst but it was so introspective that the quietness made me cry, but I need the story to allow me to get into the FL’s head beyond what is shown in the plot.

(With the caveat that the dialogue and plot consistency needs to be there)

I’m sure a part of it is that I’m an overthinker who internalizes everything by default (makes for a wonderful anxiety experience, lemme tell you 🙃). But when I think about my top 10s, and when they stick with me, it’s because of that factor.

(And it’s why Ruyi is my favorite drama of all time; and why something like Yanxi was fun but didn’t do much for me in the end. )

(I think it’s actually why Love in the Desert didn’t click for me, even if it met all the genre requirements. And why Love of Nirvana did not click for me. And it’s why TRON is my biggest disappointment of this year. I just want to be in Yining’s head and the writing will not let me.)

But now that I’m looking at the slate of upcoming 2025s, unless something surprises me, that’s my big criteria.

ANA AS SOMEONE WHO WATCHED THE ITALIAN DUb

are there any cools things / facts about Kite or Droite in that dub that’s different to the jp or eng?

I know it's surprising to hear but I watched the two dubs and and sub many times and there is hardly any difference except one

So in for both Droite and Kite, the first 49 episodes follows the sub, after that it follows the 4Kids dub (not the names! Well, some)

Although it follows the 49 subs, Kite seems to have a bit more of a personality in his voice and tone? I'll pick a very small example, in the sub Kite asks how is Hart doing, while in the italian dub he asks him to go to the Theme park, there are subtle differences here and there but Kite has more "smart ass", "smart mouthing" and "derisive" tone instead of the coughing cat in the English dub and serious-at-all-times in the sub

Also warning Kite's ita dub voice is actually so deep bro it threw me off so hard after being used to the other two like he actually sounds his age????

Same for Droite, her English dub is soft threatening and down to business tone and she sounds so bored and done with life at work I love it XD, while in the sub she sounds like in her mid 40s, I like her English dub very much but I also think that the italian fits her so well with her design like "Oh that voice is made for her". Anyway her italian dub also sounds like "smack taking", "smart mouthing" with the kind of tone she adds

Anyway here is the biggest difference in my opinion in terms of character fact or dialogue, and no it's not the moon scene for Kite because ita dub is pretty much faithful to 4kis ever since episode 50 from Zexal 1 up until the last episode

In episode 103-104 in italian dub Droite, as well as Kite and Alito acknowledges Droite and Gauche as "siblings", which is not found in any other dubs to my knowledge, not the sub nor 4Kids dub, it's only in italian dub.

For Alito I understand since he takes in the info from everyone else, but Kite and Droite?

1.In the original sub Droite says something along the lines of being Gauche's manager, so it is her duty to bring him back from the enemy's hands - A very interesting thing I noticed in the sub is that even though they literally grew up together ever since they lived in the streets as orphans, they only refer eachother by their professional relationship and nothing else - it's strange because, of course, she's not just doing it because she's his manager or it's her duty, but rather the bond she shares with Gauche

She tends to "explain" and "justify" her actions with a logical excuse a lot, such as when Gauche asked why she told Kite about the mission of rescuing Hart (in which she responds that Hart's powers are very hostile - sent her flying - the boy will only listen to Kite and so they need his help instead of the her of course sympathising to the situation of the man she loves literally losing his little brother)

or when Kite asked her why is she after Tron (in where she responds Tron being up to no good and in Mr. Heartland's way and as his right hand woman, it's her "duty" to take him out of the WDC Tournament, instead of her doing this for Kite) and the same goes for when Yuma asks her why she wants to duel as well against Gauche and Alito (in she responds it's her "duty" as the manager to rescue him from enemy's hands, instead of him being someone important in her life like conveyed in the English dub)

She always explains with a logical response/excuse instead of an honest one - This is the original japanese sub Droite

2.In the 4kids dub Droite says she cannot stand by watching the Barians turn him into a puppet and she will fight to bring him back - no mention of their relationship or what so ever, the dub censored all their flashback as homeless kids, we literally have no clue on what they are to eachother, we just know they are important to eachother and they care about one another

3. In the italian dub it shares the same pattern as the sub for the last 49 episodes (so we know they are partners at work), dub as rest- not exactly in this case because multiple times it is emphasised of them being siblings

Of course it is not physically possible even in Yu-Gi-Oh standards of them being family, I guess the dubbers just wanted to them a familiar bond here and I love the idea of them considering eachother family when they had none

"Fratello" means brother, "Sorella" means sister

You can hear them saying it a lot and I know the dubs are not the canon or original as the sub one but gosh I really like the fact that Kite here acknowledges of Droite being Gauche's "sister" because it brings back to the past where they trained together and the fact he paid them enough attention to know that they consider eachother as family it just makes it very interesting for me as I'm deprived of that trio interacting, I need a training montage and movie of them and Kite hanging out with people his age instead of kids

Anyway I guess this would be a unique difference compared to others? I hope I didn't miss them but the rest are just subtle insignificant differences in my opinion ita dub is pretty much faithful to both at certain points (to sub for 49 eps and to 4kids dub for the rest)

Anyway enjoy actually sexy Kite voice instead of the mid eng dub and sub (/j sub is good) ita dub W 💅

You know what, let's get overanalytical of the Arclight crests.

IV's crest is easy. It's a stylized flame. IV himself is impulsive, destructive, the most hot tempered of the family. He's the one who accidentally got Rio hurt in a fire.

V's crest, with its colour and design, calls to mind water. Water can be still on the surface, but that masks what's potentially going on beneath. There's a damn good reason they tell you not to wade into floodwaters, even if they don't look deep or hazardous. In turn, V is the most emotionally distant/emotionally repressed, and we don't see him duel until late in the WDC arc, but he does have his own moments. He does, in his own way, still care about his family, even if he doesn't express it well.

Push him, and you'll find yourself on the wrong end of his Dyson Sphere.

III's crest is a flower. Flowers are pretty things, often seen as harmless or associated with gentleness, but many flower species have thorns and toxins hidden away for defence, vines to choke out invaders. III initially appears to perhaps be the kindest of the brothers, he's the only one to visibly show discomfort with what happened to Haruto, but he's also intensely protective of his family and will fight fiercely to defend them, even to the lengths of attempting murder to do it if he thinks he has to. He packs a sword around sometimes and is not above threatening with it/throwing it to make a point.

Tron's crest is a stylized pink eye. He's the one leading the Arclights, he directs and watches over his sons.

But there's another layer to this one. Don Thousand also has an eye motif, and while Don K wasn't yet active when Tron made his deal, the pink eye design still connects him to the Barians and the deal he made with them for the power to take revenge.

oh right as for assassin's creed charms,, ahaha,,,, i've been fighting to make sure none of my shops (not just *tsy but other places like b*gcartel and k*-fi) get taken down by copyright strikes from ub*soft on and off throughout everything happening;;

still on the fence about showing off the finished art and an "official" final round of pre-orders for AC stuff (same time as tron charms, i'll close them november 29!), but i've been kind of burnt out from charm art due to that to be honest...! i'm still able to finish the AC orders i've already gotten, but i'm just unsure about publicizing AC stuff as much in comparison lest everything gets shut down, but aaaaa fingers crossed!
