gasped laugh echoes at his comeback , a mix of disbelief and defiance molding her semblance as she threatens ' you bet if i hear any noise of that kind from your apartment i will be coming to ruin your night . ' if her cheeks hadn ' t blushed enough from such a hot topic with the guy she ' d just met , his gaze sure does get her burning . sports top and leggings she was wearing already marking her body , little was left for his imagination . but that doesn ' t stop her from scoffing ' oh , i ' d very much like to see that in action ! ' didn ' t expect him to have a point like that , making her blush even more as she looked away in annoyance . hating confrontation , she tried until the last minute to tolerate it , but ended up snapping and letting some of her anger out that way , cursing him through her wi - fi . felt petty , but wouldn ' t let him win that easily ' well , maybe if you had heard the first time i tried to knock on your door to ask nicely , I wouldn ' t have needed to do it that way . ' straight up lie , she never had as much as stepped foot on his floor before that day .
there was something satisfying about pushing his neighbor's buttons. the two had never even met but seeing her riled up was enough for him to keep going. he didn't have much going on that day, so he would keep entertaining it. "i wouldn't count out all of the noises," he suggested with a sly smile, at this point eyes traveling between the floor and back up at chiara. "hey, i can be a gentleman, okay? who's the one who talked shit behind a screen, huh?" / @afterglitch

Caveats: This list is undoubtedly very incomplete. I've not been able to find a recent source that seems anywhere near comprehensive and reliable. Furthermore, I had to use the wayback machine to locate the one I've used here. Also, I've added the top 2 myself because they did not appear in the original list, which was last updated on May 28, 2014.

jaw clenches at his audacity , gaze narrowing as she refuses to believe him being such a prick . but what else was she expecting from someone so inconvenient ? what annoyed her even more was the way the first thing that came to her mind at the sight of him leaning against the door frame was how goddamn hot he looked . she was supposed to hate him , she reminded herself , scoffing just like him as she replied with a faux smile ' no , i don ' t like any of the noise you do . and my forte are gentlemen , something you ' re clearly not , as it looks like you seem to take pleasure in being annoying . '
"do i need to spell it out for you, babe? i said.." he began to spell it out, like any asshole would. "n...o.." he repeated slowly as he pulled in a bit closer before adjust his posture. he scoffed playfully at her response about his drums, leaning against the door frame now. "what, you don't like the drums? i know how to play a bit of guitar too, if that's more of your forte." / @afterglitch

Motown Live: Two Episodes (Live in Los Angeles, CA) 1998/1999 R&B / Soul / Hip Hop
Oh, man, I had no idea that this show ever existed! Apparently, back in '98/'99, a little syndicated program called Motown Live was trying to compete with the likes of Soul Train. Only 13 episodes appear to have ever aired, but what Motown Live attempted to do was present a different slate of black musicians in every episode, mixing still-intact legends from the past with contemporary stars. And the coolest part about all of it was that they'd get those past legends and then-current stars to perform some songs together.
So, this video here presents two separate episodes. The first one, hosted by Robert Townsend—star of 90s sitcom The Parent 'Hood—appears to be the pilot, and features The Temptations, Earth Wind & Fire, Wyclef Jean, and Next. And Wyclef brings some other people along with him too, like The Product G&B, who'd go on to star on Carlos Santana's massive hit, "Maria, Maria;" fellow Fugee Pras, who'd get himself caught up in all sorts of seriously thorny financial and high political drama in the 2010s, and against the advice of his counsel, testify on his own behalf, only to then be found guilty on ten different counts; and female rapper Free, who'd later become co-host of 106 & Park on BET. Remember her?
Anyway, unfortunately, for this particular episode, the audio quality isn't great, but at least things like the footage of Wyclef and Earth Wind & Fire performing "That's the Way of the World" together was salvaged and posted to YouTube.
The second episode in the video doesn't suffer from the same audio issues, though. And this one appears to be the premiere for the second season, with Robert Townsend gone and replaced by the great Montell Jordan, famous for such hits as "This Is How We Do It." In this episode, The Temptations are back again, and with them are male R&B/soul duo K-Ci & Jojo, as well as Snoop Dogg, who, like Wyclef, brought a whole bunch of people along with him too, including Xzibit, Nate Dogg, Daz Dillinger, and Kurupt. And their lively finale of "Gin & Juice" with K-Ci & Jojo is really nothing short of spectacular 🤩.
Now, two things here: one, I definitely find it a bit odd that whoever was responsible for conceiving of this show decided to call it Motown Live, because it seems like most of the performers were never actually on the Motown label itself? They couldn't come up with a different, more accurate name for it? And two, I think I can see why this show ran out of gas as quickly as it did. The idea of presenting both past-and-present, while great, probably ended up becoming too big of a burden to bear. I mean, no shade to The Temptations at all, but if a show like this only has 13 episodes and they've already circled back around to them once, that tells me that the showrunners were having trouble with booking guests. I guess there were only so many legends from the 60s, 70s, and 80s who were: a) still around; b) would agree to go on the show; and c) could also draw enough eyes. A pretty tough balance to strike on what appeared to be a planned weekly basis.
Motown Live seems to have barely left any footprint, though, so I'm pretty delighted to have discovered it. Awkward in spots, especially with both hosts being clear novices, but their lack of experience really only lends to this ephemeral show's goofy and very late 90s charm anyway.
More fun videos here.

(The K12 Engineering Education Podcast)
Do scientific research articles sometimes sound like another language? To K-12 students, very often it’s yes. Tanya Dimitrova tried to help solve this problem by founding the Scientific Journal for Kids, where her team of writers, designers, and teachers translates articles from scientific research journals into more kid-friendly language. Tanya talks about how her time as a science teacher in Central Texas influenced her to found this nonprofit, and then explains all the details that go into collaborating with scientists to make their work more accessible.

We’ve been open and active for TEN months now! That summer is a ski resort town RP set in the fictional Alpine Valley, Colorado. It’s an 18+ community that focuses on character development, plotting, and being totally and completely stress-free.
Over the summer, a malicious blog popped up that has been spilling some of Alpine Valley’s deepest, darkest secrets. And now it’s bringing to light the mysterious disappearance of Carter Townsend 23 years prior. So far, Alpine Valley is still going strong, but who knows what secrets the blog will drop next.
» WHAT WE OFFER »
A welcoming, inclusive, and stress-free community that supports and lifts its members
No word counts or activity requirements to stress you out and make you anxious
The option to join in on the secret blogger plot and have them share your character’s secrets
An 18+ premium site that understands that life offline takes precedence over anything in RP
A dark and light version of the skin
A shipper app with a profile freeform section
Absolutely no +/- face claim age ratios
