Osomatsu: At first, he was sure it was just a casual lean, but then he heard the soft, steady rhythm of your breathing. His eyes widened, and a slight grin crept onto his face. "You're seriously asleep on me?" he whispered, amused by the situation. Osomatsu was torn between feeling lucky and absolutely panicking about what to do next. Not wanting to ruin the moment, he carefully adjusted his arm and leaned back against the couch. It felt strangely… nice, being your pillow. He couldn't help but smirk to himself. 'Guess I’m not too bad to nap on.' As much as he wanted to make a joke or poke fun at you later, he found himself just letting you rest, his heart racing a bit as the reality sank in. For once, Oso didn’t mind sitting still for a while.

Karamatsu: The moment your head fell onto his shoulder, Karamatsu froze. His eyes widened in surprise, heart beating fast. A light gasp escaped his lips, "How beautiful…" Kara gently adjusted his position, trying to maintain his cool "Karamatsu" facade, despite the flushed look on his face. He kept glancing down at you, marveling at how peaceful you looked. His mind raced with romantic fantasies of this moment. He imagined a sunset, music swelling in the background as he held you close. This was the kind of thing he’d only dreamed of! But in reality, Kara simply remained silent, letting you sleep while mentally preparing some (ridiculous) poetic lines to say to you later. “Yes, this is destiny,” he whispered dramatically, eyes shining with pride.

Choromatsu: Choro's entire body stiffened when he realized you had fallen asleep on him. He swallowed hard, heart pounding in his chest as he looked down at your peacefully resting face. 'What do I do? What do I do?!' His mind raced. Should he wake you up? No, that would be rude! But what if you found it weird later? Was it weird? Was he weird?! Panic set in quickly, but he didn’t dare move. Instead, he sat there, barely breathing, his hands fidgeting in his lap. He could feel the heat rising in his cheeks, and the longer you stayed asleep, the more flustered he became. He wouldn’t move until you woke up, even if he was dying of embarrassment.

Ichimatsu: Ichimatsu blinked in surprise when he felt the weight of your head resting on his shoulder. His first instinct was to shrug you off, but when he turned and saw you had actually fallen asleep, he stopped. You looked so peaceful, so unbothered, that he couldn’t bring himself to disturb you. Instead, he let out a quiet sigh and stayed still, his face neutral as always. A part of him was confused. Why would you fall asleep on him of all people? But another part - one he wasn’t quite used to - felt a warmth spread through his chest. He liked the quiet moment, the closeness without having to say a word.

Jyushimatsu: The second your head hit Jyushi’s shoulder, his eyes lit up with excitement. He held back a little bounce of joy, though his body practically buzzed with energy. You were asleep on him! He had to be doing something right! "Whoa!" he whispered to himself, grinning from ear to ear. He stared down at you, his heart racing with glee. He wanted to jump up and celebrate, but that might wake you… and you looked so comfortable. Instead, Jyushimatsu sat there, vibrating with happiness, his hands fidgeting in his lap. He couldn’t stop himself from glancing at you every few seconds, amazed that this was really happening. Every time you shifted slightly, he stilled himself, determined not to mess up this perfect moment.

Todomatsu: Toddy felt your head rest against his shoulder and immediately smiled to himself. His first thought was how lucky he was, and his second? How cute this was going to look on social media. He reached for his phone, careful not to disturb you, and quickly snapped a selfie. Of course, he made sure to get the best angle, keeping you in frame while giving the camera his cutest smile. “Don’t worry,” he whispered softly, “I’ll make sure you look good.” He decided to let you rest, occasionally glancing at you with a soft expression. As much as he loved documenting every cute moment, he also liked just… being here with you. If you woke up, he’d tease you about it for sure, but in the meantime, he was happy to stay still and enjoy the quiet.

ramuda - runs and jumps at you in a catcher hug. does NOT care if he pushes you over as a result of the hug. he just wants to get close to you

gentaro - short hug as a greeting. prefers intertwining his fingers with yours as compared to hugging

dice - catcher hug. he would catch you but probably not all the time. doesn't care if the two of you topple and you crash on top of him either. he loves you too much

jakurai - unlikely to hug but if you initiate the hug, he will do a respectful hug where he wraps his arms around your shoulders. likes it when you hug him around his ribs.

hifumi - shocked when you hug him but would happily return the hug in a bear hug. smiles and giggles a lot when you do. would also do a catcher hug when you come home after a long day outside

doppo - one armed hug probably because he's an awkward man...would probably stand there shocked if you try to hug him, resulting in an unreciprocated hug (would probably apologise for being sweaty)

sasara - bear hug 100% as well. he loves you a whole whole lot and would immediately tell you all about his day while still having his arms wrapped around your waist. would also put his arm around your shoulders while talking

rosho - hug at the waist, he especially likes having his hands on your hips (although he may not admit it)

rei - loops his arm around to hook you in closer to him via your waist. loves it when you squeak from the contact as well and WILL grin at you as a result of that. would carry you like a princess. patting hug sometimes

kuko - almost yells at you when you first try to hug him but he slowly opens up to it. unlikely to initiate hugs as well but will wrap his arms around your waist/hips when you do hug him

jyushi - gets flustered when you hug him and exclaims out loud. hates sudden hugs and would prefer it if you asked him for a hug. would awkwardly wrap his arms around your shoulder

hitoya - wraps his arms around your waist and would lean his forehead against yours while hugging. loves slow dancing this way as well

“Here you are ma’am. Thank you for stopping by! You picked some lovely flowers.” Jyushi smiled brightly at the old woman as he handed her her bouquet of flowers.

She smiled back at him. “Such a nice boy! Thank you for helping me!”

His smile never faltered as she left the flower shop and he gave a self-satisfied sigh when she was gone. As he started to wipe down the counter, his coworker slid up next to him.

“You’re such a nice boy, Jyushi!” Kuko cooed, pinching his cheek.

Jyushi pouted. “Kuko! Stop being so mean to me!”

“Leave him alone, Kuko.” Hitoya, their manager, yelled from the back room.

Kuko rolled his eyes. “You people are no fun.” Setting himself down on the stool behind the counter, he asked, “So, do you have today’s flowers all picked out and ready?”

Jyushi felt his cheeks burn hot at the mention of the special flowers he set aside once a week for a very special customer. Almost a year ago, you started coming into the flower shop with a giant encyclopedia. After a couple of weeks of trying to talk to you but being too shy, Jyushi managed to learn that you were studying botany, specifically flowers, and were taking notes on the different flowers the store had. So he took it upon himself to help you out. Every week since then, when you came in with your notes and dazzling smile, he would hand you a flower and spew out facts about it from the research he did during the week before your visit. It soon became his favorite part of the day, not that he would ever tell you that.

Nodding, he pointed to a wrapped bundle of white flowers. “Yep. I have magnolias already prepared for today.”

“Magnolias, huh?” Jyushi nearly jumped out of his skin, seeing you at the counter, your smile almost blinding him.

He nodded again, a bit more bashful, causing Kuko to snicker before leaving the two of you alone to talk. “Yeah. Magnolias. Did you know that the flowers bloom before the leaves appear on the plant?”

Your eyes widened and you quickly jotted the fact down. “I do now! Seriously, Jyushi, what would I do without you? With your help, I’ll be able to become a professional botanist and work with flowers everyday for the rest of my life.”

“That would be wonderful.” He couldn’t help but smile. You always get so passionate and excited about your future. Your optimism always wore off on him, not that he minded in the slightest.

Taking one of the flowers from the small bouquet, you held out your hand. “May I borrow the scissors, please?”

After Jyushi handed them to you, you cut the stem shorter and tucked the flower behind your ear. Little did you know, but the cheeks of the boy in front of you exploded in pink. Did you even know how cute you look right now? You looked like some floral goddess. His heart skipped a beat.

“You look so pretty.”

Both of you were speechless, but Jyushi was panicking. He didn’t really say that out loud now, did he? Please tell him he didn’t just embarrass himself in front of you! He would never be able to live this one down! His life was effectively over.

However, you laughed. It was a pretty sound that seemed to make the sun shine brighter and the flowers around you both began to glow. “Aw, thank you! You’re pretty handsome if I do say so myself.”

Again, his cheeks darkened. “Oh, ah, thank you.”

Jyushi’s heart jumped into his throat when you gently took his hand in yours. He looked at you confused, shocked, and desperate, while you just grinned softly. It was then he thought, perhaps your heart was beating just as fast as his at this exact moment.

“So, tell me more about these magnolias…”

However totty wouldnt believe it and would basically be like "maybe if you stop being impulsive hou wont have such bad luck" and then i open a door and it falls off the hinge and just more and more progressively shitty things happen and hes just like "maybe you do have bad luck but its not too bad!"

He would abandon me first and immediately amd only interact with me covered in rabbits feet and horse shoes and with a cross.

And wjen he buys into it out of everyone tottys the most solution orientated bc hes looking for a way to transfer my curse to Karamatsu instead. And make his life 8x worse

tho they probably won't. as i said status quo as long as the source material still insists on the current status quo of keeping chuuoku in power. The drama CDs do seem like its building towards a conclusion but its not enough for any meaningful change yet.

tho the anime is original content and thus exists in a separate sphere from the CDs. Its entirely possible that they may move ahead and start shaking things up but i doubt it

A cool breeze drifted about in the summer air as small speckles and cloudy blobs of white were littered across the blue sky. It was neither too hot nor humid to do any activities, resulting in many people out and about today. Families at the parks, couples on afternoon dates… it was a perfect day outside! “1136! 1137! I can still keep going!!” Loud counting sounded throughout the area, followed by the swishing of a baseball bat being swung repeatedly. Jyushimatsu was outside today, adoring his baseball uniform and practicing his batting with his baseball bat at the park in Akatsuka. He had gone out for exercise initially, but as he progressed further, he decided today was nice enough to enjoy it as is. And so, with his 1148th swing, he dropped his bat and leaned back, stretching his body out. He could feel the adrenaline and excitement pumping in him, riling him up with so much energy. “Haaa!! Hustle Hustle! Muscle Muscle!!” He chanted as he stretched, pumping his arms up and down. After finishing stretching and grabbing his bat from off the ground, he strutted back over to the metal bleachers and to his bag, taking a seat on the empty bench. He popped open a water bottle and proceeded to chug it, albeit slowly so as to not make himself throw up. Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Jyushimatsu felt prideful in how much he worked today. Well, at least so far. There were still plenty of hours left in the day, and so much left to do… As he stared up into the sky and watched the clouds drift along, he was pulled from his thoughts as he heard a distant sound. Blinking himself out of his mind, he whipped his head back and forth to find the source of the sound. It sounded like… meowing? He stood up and began to take a step until he felt something brush up against his leg. He finally realized where the sound was coming from… Below him! “Ahh, didn’t see you down there! I almost stepped on you, hehe!” As he looked down to his feet, a black and white longhaired cat had padded up to him. It sniffed his legs and the general area around him before gently rubbing against his calf, purring loudly. Jyushimatsu bent down and let the cat sniff his fingers before allowing him to pet itself. He scratched and stroked the cat’s back, giving it, particularly much attention at the back of its ears. As he squatted and took in the appearance of the cat, he realized it reminded him a lot of someone he knew. It reminded him of his friend, Shinrei. It only dawned upon him further as he looked at the cat’s eyes, identical to Shinrei’s. Blue and black. When Jyushi stood up and went to sit on the bleachers, the cat jumped up and sat next to him, waiting as he fully sat down before climbing into his lap. He smiled down at the kitty in his lap, petting it as it purred loudly in his lap. Mom is going to have a lot of fun with the cat hair later when washing his uniform…

“You remind me of my friend, Shin-chan! You look just like her, as if she was a cat!” He pointed out loud, talking to the cat as if it was a real person. It mewed back in reply. “She likes cats a lot. She has one, too! Her name is Eve… she’s a really nice kitty!!” As he began to ramble on about Shinrei and all things related to her, he could feel himself getting lost in his rambles, the time passing much quicker than he had anticipated. When he realized it, it was almost sunset. “Ah… it’s almost time.” He noted as he looked up to the sky, the sky blue now replaced with gradients of violet, red, magenta, orange, and yellow as the sun began to set. More clouds started to roll in, possibly for a light shower tonight. He took in the atmosphere while the cat from his lap sat up and stretched, yawning as it was stirred from its relaxation in Jyushi’s lap. Padding off of him and down onto the ground, the cat mewled back at him, likely as thanks, and trotted off. “See you later, Mrs. Kitty!” He waved lightly, smiling and bubbly with happiness. Oddly enough, it felt nice to ramble to someone, even if it was a cat. Ichimatsu always told him that cats are smarter than people think, though. So maybe it did want to listen to him… Shinrei did like listening to him talk about his day, too. That’s another thing the cat and Shinrei had in common. Huh… As he got up from the bleachers and stretched, he took mental notes of what else might need to be done. “Hmm… I did baseball, running, exercise… Now onto Shinrei-chan’s place!!” Jyushi clapped his hands together, smiling as he decided his next plans for the day, or rather night. He dusted himself off, removing any cat hair that might be a nuisance, grabbed his bag, and walked to his next destination.

“Aaahhh, Jyushimatsu! You’re covered in cat hair!” Shinrei shouted as she opened her door, seeing Jyushi standing outside of her house. His shirt and pants were littered with little strands of black and white cat hair. She told him to take off his uniform as soon as he got inside, throwing it into the wash to save his mother the trouble of dealing with cat hair all over their place. Throwing on a fresh pair of clothes that he had accidentally left at Shinrei’s before, he relaxed onto her couch with her cat Eve at his side, scratching her head and ears gently. Shinrei was seated next to him, working on an instrumental track for her music. Humming out loud in surprise, Jyushi almost whacked Shinrei in the face with his hands as he remembered the events of today. “Ah! Shinrei-chan! Guess what I saw today!” “Hmm? What'd you see?” “A kitty!! A cat! A cat that looked just like you! It was black and white, had long hair, and even the same colored eyes as you! On the same eyes, too!”

She paused her typing and mouse clicking, looking up at him with a surprised smile. “Really? That’s surprising… are you sure it wasn’t me checking in on you?” Jyushi chuckled to himself at the joke, feeling his cheeks flood with waves of heat as he blushed. “I don’t think so! Was it you, Shin-chan?” She hummed, “No… I was busy with my music today.” “Ah…” Jyushi sighed, looking back at the TV in front of them for a few moments. “Mrs. Kitty was really nice.” “…was she?”

“Yeah! She listened as I talked for hours and hours… she stayed in my lap the whole time!” Jyushimatsu glanced over to Shinrei, locking eyes with her as she looked up from her sewing. “She must’ve been a really nice kitty, then. I’m sure she loved listening to you talk.” As she said this, Jyushi wrapped an arm around Shinrei, pressing them close together, shoulder to shoulder as he rubbed his cheek against hers affectionately. He paused, pressing a light kiss to Shinrei’s cheek before looking at her again, smiling wide. “Yes… she was.”

"Urgh, my parents have the right idea with this guy. Can you believe he once tried to give me a ticket for performing parkour in my own neighborhood? He claimed I was "disturbing the peace" or some shit, like that. Buddy, pretty much everyone in Roppongi and Minato knows I do this shit in my spare time. In fact, they pretty much love seeing me hop to and fro. So saying I'm "disturbing the peace" is just a sad excuse to want to give someone a fine. Nice try, though."

"I'm not as close to Gentaro as I am to Dice, but he's still a pretty cool guy... with a unique fashion sense. I know people get on him for his constant lying, but considering he's a writer, it's no surprise everything he says may or may not be the truth. He and I actually have a little side bet going on. If I can catch him in one of his lies before the month is over, then he has to feature me as a character in one of his next stories! But if I don't, I have to pay for the editing and publishing of his next book. I'm really looking forward to it!"
