[ devery jacobs ] i just saw that JYN ERSO arrived in mystic, ct ! they're TWENTY-ONE and a CANON character from STAR WARS. however, you might want to check first because while they've been here THREE YEARS they DO NOT BELIEVE they have been here their whole lives. make sure to make them feel right at home.

plotting/starter call for the hwminievent6! under the cut are my characters, their dates, and their vibes for the night. 💗 capping the starters at four per character for now!

abby anderson -- blind date with josie saltzman. (1/4) urumi akamaki.

abby will be on a blind date with josie. abby is still getting used to a world that's normal and not post-apocalyptic, so they may be a bit uncomfortable at first only to open up later in the night.

alicia clark -- blind date with adam torres. (1/4) ramona flowers.

alicia will be on a blind date with adam. she is more outgoing and willing to enjoy herself at an event like this, so she'll probably have a fun time; making the most of the night.

bella swan -- blind date with brinna javik. (1/4) alice cullen.

bella will be on a blind date with brinna. even though she's a generally awkward person, she's eager to spend the evening with someone new and go outside of her comfort zone.

beth washington -- open to a date. (2/4) emily davis, max lightwood.

beth is actually excited for this event. i'd love to see her go with someone or find someone to spend the majority of the event with! she will be enjoying the party and wishing that she at least had her brother or sister there with her.

bigby wolf -- attending with snow white. (1/4) danika fendyr.

bigby is attending with snow. he won't exactly be in Big Bad Wolf Mode, but he'll be protective of her, of course, and will be on the lookout for any trouble or chaos that might happen during the event.

dora tonks -- blind date with bb-8. (2/4) eloise bridgerton, hagrid.

dora will be on a blind date with bb-8. she's actually looking forward to this blind date and getting to meet new people, even if the vibe of the event is ~romantic~. she'll also want to be seeing her friends and family and may even introduce them to her date.

draco malfoy -- going solo. (4/4) rabastan lestrange, hermione granger, harry potter, scorpius malfoy.

draco is going solo. but he has big feelings for lee jordan, and will probably spend most of the night bickering with him about complete and utter nonsense. also, he'll probably be drinking. a lot.

garrett -- attending with kate. (1/4) irina.

garrett is attending with kate. he loves a good party and will be making the most of it, socializing and getting to know other vampires. he won't be paying as much attention to the humans, given his current circumstances.

jyn erso -- attending with cassian andor. (3/4) ellie williams, ansel of briarcliff, sha hualing.

jyn is attending with cassian. she's still a bit wary of washington itself, having heard of the craziness that occasionally takes place here. cassian is her safe place, so she'll want to stay by his side.

louis weasley -- attending with wednesday addams. (2/4) fleur delacour, bill weasley.

louis is attending with wednesday. and in all honesty, he probably dragged her to the event kicking and screaming. he's looking forward to spending the evening with her, and showing her off to all of his friends and family. he knows how to have a good time, and will make sure that he does, as long as he has wednesday by his side.

luna lovegood -- attending with neville longbottom. (2/4) cho chang, lee hongjo.

luna is attending with neville. she's incredibly excited to go, having a deep love for most holidays. she will be all dolled up and is excited to see everyone!

maggie greene rhee -- going solo. (1/4) rosita espinosa.

maggie is going solo. however, she'll probably stay close to glenn, since he IS her husband, after all. she'll also want to make sure that no trouble arises. she does love valentine's day and will be enjoying herself at the same time, though she won't get crazy with it. she just wants to have fun on her mom's night out!

mike schmidt -- open to a date. (2/4) charlotte dilaurentis, jester lavorre.

mike isn't super eager to be attending the valentine's day event, honestly. he hasn't had a lot of romance in his life, which is part of why he plans on going alone. i'd love to have a date for him, though, to enjoy the night with! he's a big softy on the inside, and would be sweet to spend time with once he gets past his shyness.

rey palpatine -- attending with fred weasley ii. (3/4) samara palpatine, leia organa, han solo.

rey is attending with fred. she is super excited to get to know them better and to spend more time with them, especially at an event like this. she'll also be checking in with her friends and family to make sure that they're having a good time, too.

rhaenyra targaryen -- attending with harwin strong. (2/4) lidia cervos, penelope garcia.

rhaenyra is attending with harwin. they're ready for a night out away from the kids, though they love their children, a date night with their husband is very much needed.

theon greyjoy -- attending with sansa stark. (2/4) ridoc, filippa kosta.

theon is attending with sansa. and will be spending the majority of the event by her side. he's a little bit on the reserved side and will want to stay within his comfort zone, which is with sansa or other people that he knows.

will graham -- going solo. (1/4) yennefer.

will is going solo. despite this, he may gravitate towards someone that he feels a connection with. however, he will likely spend most of the night alone, or at least ~trying~ to socialize.

Ooh I’d really like to see what you’ve written about Jyn meeting Cassian’s friends💕💞💗

i have more planned than actually written LOL but i can talk through the concepts first.

this is all going to be set in the early days after rogue one. pre-relationship as fuck lol. and it's as much a character study of cassian as it is about jyn and her dynamics with these different people who love cassian.

cinta - cinta and jyn partner up on an intel mission. jyn spends a lot of time observing cinta and notices that she's very similar to cassian. cinta says VERY little about cassian, she's a stone cold pro and isn't about to have that kind of talk with jyn about another agent.

i like the idea that cinta is who cassian is in the beginning of rogue one, except that she would have killed galen. not without thought, not because those are her orders, but because cinta would at least partially AGREE with the orders - galen erso is responsible for the death star in many ways, and she'd hold him to account by assassinating him. but she's also WHO CASSIAN IS IN THE BEGINNING OF ROGUE ONE so she'd also find jyn's fire attractive and inspiring, and she'd probably not let jyn die on jedha tbh. in the same way that she supports vel all through the aldhani arc.

i think cinta is too perceptive to just not notice cassian is a merc on aldhani. she believes that he's a rebel (because he is LOL), but she also wouldn't care if he wasn't (she's clearly more upset that vel didn't tell her than that cassian's being paid). i also think she sees a lot of herself in him.

i also want to amp up the queerness. cinta and jyn are both bisexuals obviously, no discussion needed it's canon. but anyway, i think they'd be attracted to each other but i don't do cheating oml. they'll get into some sort of accidentally sexy moment on the mission, jyn's probably down because she's in denial about cassian lol but cinta and vel are definitely not poly so they acknowledge the attraction but it's a non-starter.

cinta will probably say something about jyn having a lover, too, and jyn's like ? um no i think i'd know if i did. and then cinta's like there's no way these two hoes haven't fucked lol but she's wrong, fairly sure she's projecting onto cassian again but whatever.

but the main thing with this section is that jyn learns that cassian wasn't always a rebel - at least that's what cinta will say because whether or not she believes that he wasn't a rebel until after aldhani, she'll respect him enough to not just tell jyn all of her thoughts about how cassian was always a rebel in some ways.

this is gonna piss jyn off LOL that i know. vel will show up in this section but it's mainly about cinta.

melshi - jyn's already met melshi so this will be more about them getting to know each other. in my headcanon rue is an ex-boyfriend of cassian's. unlike with bix and cassian's s1 complicated dynamic (which i have a feeling is based on the relationship being on-and-off when they were younger and probably not having a lot of closure/not always being great about boundaries) they're really just very good friends, their romantic relationship fades more easily than with bix.

jyn and melshi end up as workout buddies. that's the storyline i have planned, jyn needs a spotter while she's lifting weights (what a hottie omg i bet she could lift me) and melshi volunteers. jyn notices that his nose is still fucked up from when she hit him with the shovel on wobani. she sort of apologizes (sort of, she's a tough nut to crack) and he's surprisingly understanding about it. so they end up working out together a couple times a week, and over time he opens up to her about his time on narkina. i'm assuming he was there for a LONG time. eventually he mentions cassian and jyn's like ??? the fuck??? and that's how she learns that cassian was in a labor camp like she was.

i don't think melshi would feel super comfortable talking about cassian's story but also a big motif in this fic is that everyone thinks cassian and jyn are fucking. how these different people handle talking to jyn about cassian is important in exploring these dynamics and relationships. he assumes cassian has told jyn things about his past because when THEY were together, they did a lot of talking about shit.

im not sure where i want to go with how jyn takes it. jyn doesn't trust easily and i think she'd understand that she doesn't know a lot about cassian yet - but something like that is so similar to her own personal trauma that i can't help but think she'd be upset.

bix, bee and brasso - bix works as a mechanic for the rebellion at this point (with her husband brasso and their dog droid bee because lol it's an everyone lives au except all parental figures they're all dead) and is working on the ship cassian and jyn are going to be taking for their first mission together since scarif (cassian is finally cleared to go back in the field, congrats major andor) and jyn finds out that bix and brasso do a lot of salvage work. she wants to find a new chassis for kaytoo so that cassian can have his friend back. ugh love her sfm. what a good thing the fandom has her doing in so much fic.

well, bix is like ? hmm why are you looking for a kx oh shit you're jyn erso. something like that. there's all kinds of rumors about jyn and cassian, and bix is like... yeah of course that tracks. hot, competent, brunette, bit of a smart mouth. and you know bix has been trying to get the tea from cassian for weeks, but he keeps telling her "lies" about how they're not together, it's not a good idea right now, etc.

but this time cassian actually shows up, clearly a bit unnerved by jyn and his old friends (esp bix) scheming together, which is the part i actually have written:

Cassian walks into the mechanic's bay (?) with a familiar unease building up in his chest. He wonders if he’ll always feel this way around Bix. Even before the shitshow on Ferrix, their relationship when they were teenagers always ran hot and cold. Fresh out of a war zone and a prison camp, he wasn’t in any state to love her properly, even if he loved her fiercely, in the way a boy loved his first girlfriend.

Too busy hating the Empire to do better by her. Or anyone. He can’t say he’d do anything differently. They would have always broken up, fallen out of love, grown out of each other. He can’t imagine himself in Brasso’s place, can’t even bring himself to be resentful towards his old friend for their marriage. He never thought about any of that back during their time together - commitment was sneaking around behind her father’s back, saving whiskey for her, keeping his head in the present while he was with her. 

But he doesn’t feel guilty about any of that. Romances end all the time. And he’s a very different man now, one who Bix doesn’t even particularly like sometimes - even if she still loves his sorry ass, exasperatedly and against her better judgment. Their friendship is shaped by trauma and loss and hope, like he is himself.

He doesn’t feel guilty about breaking her heart. 

Her torture, however, he carries with him everywhere he goes. It wasn’t his fault but he feels responsible. For the change in her very chemical makeup. For the hands that shake, the way she never quite trusts her privacy.

Still. She’s been a lot better lately. Since Scarif and the Battle of Yavin. He just hopes-

Jyn Erso is in the mech bay. Smiling with Bix over a large pile of black metal and wires. Jyn doesn’t just smile at strangers. 

The uneasy feeling grows.

[… blah blah some shit i haven’t written, jyn fucks off …]

Bix sighs, wiping her forehead with her rag. "You being… you-” Cassian crosses his arms. “Don’t look at me like that, of course I thought you fucked her. ‘Course I did.”

“It’s not like that,” he says. She rolls her eyes and pulls out another wire. “Jyn and I… it’s never been like that. Not even sure where this rumor came from, anyway.”

“She’s gorgeous and competent. Only issue is that she’s not in a long-term monogamous relationship for you to screw up-” Cassian glares at her. She laughs. “Are you serious? You disobeyed the kriffing Council for her!”

“For the Rebellion,” he corrects, and he’s mostly not lying.

“And I’m the Queen of Naboo, and Bras is secretly related to Wynssa Starflare. Who are you kidding?” Her smile fades. “But I believe you now,” Bix says. “Seeing you two together. It’s definitely not like that.”

Cassian turns away. “I’m glad that’s settled.”

Her eyes widen and she reaches for his arm, turning him back around. “No, I don’t mean- shit Cass. You know how sometimes things don’t come out right for me now.” She bites her lip. “You’re in love with her, and she has no idea.”

“She’s my partner, Bix.”

“You should tell her.”

He shakes his head. “We’re in the middle of a war. It’s really not a good time.”

“Brasso and I got married last year, you nerf!”

“I am a spy, Bix!” Cassian snaps. “I carry a poison pill in my jacket so that if I get caught, I don’t give up Rebel secrets. I’m already living on borrowed time.” He shuts his eyes. “She’s lost everyone who ever loved her, and you think I should tell her? I wonder how long it’ll be until I’m lying dead somewhere. Just another disappointment. Three, four months? A year?” He opens his eyes again and sees Bix shaking her head, stricken. “I’m sorry.”

jyn answers the door with a sneer on her face, one that’s wiped off almost immediately when she sees who’s actually calling on her. all at once, she feels a bit self-conscious of her image ; messy hair wrangled up into an even messier bun, dark circles underneath and the red rim around her eyes, the pallor to her skin. the door is opened just a crack, but over her head she’s sure he can see the darkness of the room she’s been sitting in. immediately, she tries to fix what she currently looks like, but to no avail. she suspects nikolai’s prying eyes have already noticed the state she’s in, so she drops her hands to her sides, resisting the urge to take a step back and slam the door in his face. she doesn’t want to talk right now, doesn’t want to be visible in the eyes of anyone who might judge, but this is her king. though he’s hinted at pardoning her multiple times now, she can’t be sure he’ll actually follow through with it ; until the day where she actually has the written order in her hands, she’ll have to be on her best behavior – not like that’s stopped before, as her traitor mouth often speaks before her brain catches up. 

she sighs, resting her head against the doorframe and crossing her arms over her chest defensively. she’s not in the mood to trade barbs with the king like they usually do, not on the anniversary of her father’s death – galen erso’s death. the man that had left her behind at only eight had never really been a father to her. still, she can’t help but mourn him, can’t help but feel sad for the man she’d never known but should have grown up with. no matter how much she resents him, she can’t help the empty feeling that opens up in her chest when she thinks about him, days like these making the chasm bigger and bigger. 

briefly, she feels bad for nikolai – she had promised she’d let nikolai know that she was okay once she got back from her solo mission. but one thing had led to another and she’d forgotten to reach out. for the most part, she is okay ; besides for a couple of small bruises and a cut over one of her eyebrows, she’s physically uninjured, not going to die because of it. his concern, however, is likely only a front for whatever else he needs for her. she’s eager to get these pleasantries out of the way and get down to the meat of the business, if only to return back to the comforting darkness and feel without judgement. “ as you can see, i’m not dead, “ she tries weakly, going to sarcasm and falling flat. her voice is more monotone than anything, despite attempts to make it sound like it normally does. “ and if you’ve just come to make sure i’m alive, well. here i am. do you need anything else, majesty, or can i return to what i was doing ? “

despite it’s BLUNT delivery ( though exactly the way jyn would have put it; kenobi’s clearly a man after her own heart ), it’s the truth. any second now, the alarms will start blaring; she’s a kriffing good splicer, but apparently not good enough to prevent herself from tripping a figurative wire within the computer’s code. once that happens, the room’s going to be flooded with ‘troopers – but she needs to finish making her way through the system so they have a way off this planet. 

“ you’re on your own until i finish this, “ she advises him, but she doesn’t plan on being completely useless. she’d learned to shoot while distracted a long time ago ( had saw taught her ? probably ) and her blaster is within easy reach on the counter next to her. “ as soon as i get through this last karking firewall – “

when the alarms start going off, she jumps in surprise, her fingers skidding over the keyboard. the room is plunged into darkness, only illuminating by the flashing of red, but at least they haven’t cut the power entirely. behind her, she can hear the doors swish open, but she doesn’t turn to look. for some reason, she TRUSTS kenobi to watch her back – a trust not easily gained but given only because his jedi code probably won’t let him betray her or something. 

despite that, she still shoots blindly behind her anyway, also trusting that he’ll be able to dodge her stray blaster shots while she types one-handedly. she’s not going to hit him, because she’s jyn kriffing erso and she’s a kriffing good shot. 

– still, she shouts, “ keep your eyes open, kenobi ! “

Certainly closer than she would have preferred her morning kicked off with a oomph to be sure.Taking just a moment to rest against the cool stone of her supporting wall the woman took in a steady breath. Her heart was hammering in her chest from sheer adrenaline which canceled out all other present emotions. Lifting her head the brunette peered around scanning the joining alleys, when finally they came into view.  ❝Finally. I was wondering when you were going to show up.❞

“You’re plan will get us KILLED.” Jyn didn’t fear death and she certainly wouldn’t accept death without fighting until the very end. However her supposed ally’s plan would end in them being incinerated, a death that provided no chance to fight back. Fight back. REBEL. It’s what she had done since the days of her childhood. It was  what she had been trained to do. “I will not fight a losing battle. There must be  another way.”

Star Wars G/t contest?

Hey guys! <3 I was out getting some necessities today when I found some Star Wars toys on clearance. So I got a little Clone Wars Anakin and Ahsoka Disney Infinity starter set, and was thinking of offering them as prizes in a SW G/t contest. It would be open to all kinds of content. So not just art specific. Basically if it's something you've made and it has to do with Star wars G/T it is acceptable. It also doesn’t have to be clone wars related. You would be able to submit works from any series you want. There’s a potential for a couple of other toy prizes as well, which I would like some feedback on if possible.  Like a 10″(I think?) doll of either Jyn Erso or Cassian Andor. Or a life sized version of Kanan Jarrus’ lightsaber.  What do you think? Good idea? Bad? Let me know!
